I was supposed to have a meal with a friend at a different restaurant on this day. However, I received a message saying "I might be a little late." Since I had arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes early, I decided to stop by "Nishiki" for a quick drink. I ordered "Urakasumi" sake first. When the appetizer arrived, I ordered "Grilled eel." As I was about to leave for the meal, I received a message saying "I've arrived." Seriously, that's not cool. I replied, "Wait for me." The grilled eel was so delicious, I took my time enjoying it. I apologized to the chef and said, "I'll come back later." I returned a few hours later, but I don't remember that part. That's why I have no photos. I had drunk six cups of sake at the restaurant. I remember getting a gift of sushi for Aki and his wife. After returning home around 1 am, we enjoyed the sushi gift together. I used the strategy of giving a gift before getting scolded, even when drunk. It seems that my instincts from my time as a branch manager are still sharp. My Nishiki! So delicious! Even though I don't remember!

I came to a high-end sushi restaurant in Namba. This place used to have a speciality of comparing different cuts of tuna. This time, for a business dinner, we focused more on grilled dishes than sashimi! The highlights were the sea bass and alfonsino! The customers were very satisfied with these unique Japanese fish. Alfonsino had quite a distinct flavor, it was an interesting experience. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited this restaurant for the first time and everything I tried was delicious and impressive. My friend was amazed that such a great sushi restaurant existed. I thought it might be okay to indulge in luxury once in a lifetime, so I went all out and visited this place. I will work hard so that I can come back here again before I die. Thank you so much for the amazing meal. I started with beer and sashimi, and then had grilled eel, steamed egg custard, and fatty tuna sushi, all of which were fantastic. Thank you very much.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice! However, the tuna that was served as "delicious" was unexpectedly somewhat frozen, which was disappointing. The quality was not bad, but I felt that the cost performance was not that great for this quality.

Nestled quietly in the lively area near Hozanji Temple, just the path to the shop is enough to make your heart dance. From the moment you sit down, you can feel the hospitality of the hostess and it puts you in a very happy mood. They have rare Japanese sake and the grilled fish head is so delicious that you'll want to savor it forever. I'd love to try the abalone in the tank next time. Even though the course is less than 10,000 yen, you'll leave with a full stomach.

After leaving "Maguro Toya" in Teramachi on Premium Friday in May, I felt like having a few more drinks, so I moved to Minami and went to my favorite sushi restaurant, "Nishiki." I informed the chef that it was my second stop of the day, and he recommended a sake pairing. The dishes I had that day were as follows: - "Torigai" from Miyazu: A Kyoto Miyazu specialty, the torigai was incredibly thick and sweet, with a rich and creamy liver that was absolutely delicious. I've tried torigai from different regions, but personally, I like the Miyazu one the best for its size, thickness, and sweetness. - "Shako" (mantis shrimp): Spring is the season for shako, and the one I had was plump with a soft and tender flesh, and a distinct grainy texture. It was delicious. In the end, enjoying the spring torigai and shako made me very satisfied, and with the sake flowing, I was in a great mood. Thank you for the delicious meal!

On the day of the spring equinox and during the Higan period, I wanted to buy some "ohagi" and decided to have a casual lunch drink in Minami (lol). First, I stopped by a popular diner called "Fukuya" in the Aiaihashi-suji shopping street for a quick drink, and then headed to my favorite sushi restaurant "Nishiki" for the second round of drinks (lol). ● About the food I had: Since it was the second place, I started with a cold sake, the first cup was "Suminoe". For the sake accompaniment, I just went with the usual random choices (lol). [Firefly squid marinated in seawater] The appetizer was "firefly squid marinated in seawater", which is in season now. The texture was firm and the soy sauce flavor was delicious. The scent of yuzu also enhanced the taste, making it perfect with alcohol (lol). [Torosuji & sautéed squid legs] This dish is not always available due to limited ingredients, but it's a hidden menu item at the restaurant. I asked for it after a long time and they made it with leeks instead of green onions (which were missing). The squid legs were tender and the toro part was meltingly fatty, with a nice kick from the black pepper. [Potato butter] Having potato butter at a sushi restaurant (lol). The fluffy potatoes with butter were a heavenly combination (lol). ● Lastly, the toro & sautéed squid legs It had been a while since I had this dish with leeks, and it was delicious. Sometimes I just crave it. By the way, I also had a delicious sole meunière, but due to certain circumstances, there are no photos of the dishes this time. I enjoyed eating and drinking leisurely. Now, I'll go buy the ohagi and head back home. Thank you for the meal!

Yokowa and Namazake Sashimi at Nishiki @ Kintetsu Nihonbashi Inspired by the revolving sushi at lunch, I decided to visit Sushi Dokoro Nishiki in Sen'nichimae 1-chome for dinner. It had been 13 years since my last visit. The sushiya was being run by the master and a female assistant. I started with a refreshing beer poured by the female assistant. For the sashimi, I ordered the daily recommendation. From top to bottom, we had Yokowa, Tai (sea bream), Namazake (raw mackerel), and Kanpachi (amberjack). The Yokowa was refreshing with a hint of fat, while the Tai and Kanpachi had a great texture. Next, we had Cod Milt with soy sauce. It was soft and creamy. I tried a new sake from Ehime, which was easy to drink. The master is also from Ehime, I heard. Then, I had the house original sake from Ehime, which had a pleasant acidity. I had to catch the last train, so I finished with a sweet potato shochu on the rocks. The steamed egg custard was delicious, although I usually don't eat it. The Anago and Ebi-chan were tasty as well. The Tsubugai, Toro, and Uni were all delicious. Finally, we had a rolled omelet with clam red miso soup, which was also tasty. After settling the bill, the female assistant saw me off outside. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered a la carte at a restaurant where you can choose from a menu written on a blackboard. The dishes are melt-in-your-mouth delicious, especially the tempura and rolled sushi. The seasonal ingredients make the meal even more enjoyable. I forgot to take photos, but the vegetable tempura and rolled sushi were both delicious. I opted for the salad roll, which had fish roe in it and was incredibly tasty! Just a heads up, when you order something "small" at the end, it might be more than you expect!

I arrived at the restaurant at 5:00 pm on Friday and realized that I had been here before... It was the place where I had eaten "teppanyaki" 2 or 3 years ago. Since I am not currently using Tabelog, I didn't notice it. This time, I ordered the "omakase kaiseki for 7,535 yen." The private room on the second floor had a sunken kotatsu table. The sashimi was delicious, but the tempura and sushi didn't quite match my taste. Thank you for the meal.

On Christmas Eve in 2022, it's a Saturday. Well, even though it's a holiday on Christmas Eve, I don't have any plans. I decided to head out to Minami in the afternoon since I have nothing to do at home. As expected, the city was full of dressed-up couples on Christmas Eve. Now, where should I go? Fancy Italian or French restaurants are probably full of couples on a day like this, right? Well, those places are probably fully booked and you can't even get in (lol). But on a day like Christmas Eve, a sushi restaurant might have fewer couples, right? So, I decided to go to my favorite sushi restaurant in Minami. I had some swordfish and warm sake to warm up. The swordfish sashimi was thick and delicious, and the grilled swordfish had a soft and fatty texture that was really good. I also enjoyed the swordfish salt-grilled. The swordfish is delicious both raw and grilled. The warm sake went well with the swordfish. I had a good amount of sake (lol). When I got home, I made sure to have some chicken and cake, something Christmas-y. That's enough for this time. By the way, even on Christmas Eve, there were some couples at the sushi restaurant. Well, there was only one couple while I was there (lol). Thank you for the meal.

The original plan was canceled due to a family member testing positive for COVID-19, so a replacement was made and we ended up at this restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I had wanted to try sushi, but ended up enjoying the fugu course immensely. It was also nice to enjoy hot pot with friends after a long time. Next time, I'll try the sushi! Thank you for the delicious meal.

Just around the corner from Nihonbashi shopping street is Sushidokoro Nishiki. The warm hospitality and delicious sushi make it a must-visit. The grilled blackthroat seaperch is incredibly tasty, and even the whale bacon is delicious. The fatty tuna and fresh sazae sashimi are irresistible. The mayo corn is a hit, and the chef proudly said, "I made this for the first time in 30 years." Apologies, even the onion salmon was excellent. Exploring popular restaurants on Tabelog is a part of life.

On Saturday, I went to my favorite sushi restaurant "Nishiki" for some errands. After taking care of business, I decided to have a light meal there. I called out to the chef, "Give me something good!" I started with a drink, "Kubota Suiju," which I haven't had in a while. Among the Kubota series, Suiju is my favorite! The sake was accompanied by some food, including "Ikura" (salmon roe). Autumn is the season for ikura, with its rich and creamy texture. Oh, ikura... so delicious! This is making the sake go down smoothly. The Suiju was gone in no time. Next up was "Oma Tuna" sashimi. The tuna was from Oma and included akami (lean meat) and toro (fatty tuna). I paired it with Koshino Kanbai's junmai ginjo sake. The akami was wonderfully chewy and flavorful, while the toro had a generous amount of fat, making it rich and satisfying. I prefer the akami this time! Overall, the food was as delicious as always. I'll definitely come back for another casual drink. Satisfied, satisfied! Thank you for the meal.

I have been a regular customer for a long time. Over 200 images have been updated. The cheerful master and the female owner. There are appetizers and you can enjoy your favorite number of sushi pieces at your own pace. A traditional sushi restaurant. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited this restaurant for the first time. The first floor has counter seats and the second floor has tatami seating, where I had a course meal this time. The dishes were all delicious and had good portion sizes. By the time we got to the sushi at the end of the course, I was already full. Especially the simmered sea bream was delicious and everyone who tried it praised it. I would like to visit again and sit at the counter next time to relax.

This time, I went bar hopping to all the sushi restaurants with the name "Nishiki" in Osaka, but I also need to visit my regular Nishiki-san, right? (lol) When I went shopping in Minami on my day off, I decided to take a break and have a drink. As for the dishes I ate on this day: [Tiny Squid Pickled in Seawater] The appetizer was tiny squid pickled in seawater. It was smooth and slippery, with a strong soy sauce aroma, perfect for pairing with alcohol. [Eel Liver] It's almost eel season. The flesh is tender and the skin has a slight elasticity, with a hint of plum flavor, reminding me of early summer. [Sashimi] I also had some sashimi, mostly common varieties, but the rare one was spiny lobster, which was incredibly firm and sweet. [Grilled Eel] Although I prefer grilled eel, grilled white eel is great for pairing with alcohol. The skin is crispy, the flesh is thick and fatty, and it goes well with wasabi without being too spicy. [Spiny Lobster Miso Soup] The remaining head of the spiny lobster was used to make miso soup, which had a delicious broth with vegetables like onions. [Fatty Tuna and Seared Bonito] For the finale, I had fatty tuna and seared bonito, a classic way to end a meal. The fatty tuna with seaweed and vinegared rice is a perfect combination. [Vinegared Rice Fried Rice] The chef made fried rice using vinegared rice in a wok. The rice was fluffy and the sesame oil added a nice flavor. Finally, before I knew it, I had been drinking for almost 4 hours. Time flies when you're having a good time with alcohol. I'll go home and get some rest. Cheers!

I made a reservation for a family trip to Osaka, hoping to eat some Osaka-style sushi, but I was extremely disappointed. The "tempura assortment" that cost 6,800 yen was just a small plate with 3-4 types of vegetables and 4 small, thin shrimp tempura for the whole family. The prices of the dishes were unclear, the beer that should have been delicious was old, and the sushi that came out too slowly was eventually canceled. When the bill came, I was relieved that I had canceled the sushi. I only took 2 photos (tears). I ended up spending over 10,000 yen alone without eating much or drinking, and I really regret it.

After buying ohagi at the long-established ohagi shop "Tamaseike" in Minami Osaka, it's common to drink in Minami and then head home. Our go-to spot is "Nishiki"! First, we enjoy a cold beer, which tastes delicious even when drinking from early evening when it's still bright outside. Then, we leave it to the chef to choose the sake accompaniments. Here are the dishes we had that day: - Appetizer: simmered whelk and edamame. The whelk is soft when cooked, and the edamame has a slight crunch with a subtle sweet flavor. - Crab: the chef peeled the crab for us, and the meat was soft and delicious. The crab meat sauce with a hint of ginger was warm and comforting. - Scallops and asparagus butter sauté: the scallops were tender and the asparagus had a good crunch. Both paired well with the buttery flavor. - Steamed sea bream bones: the sea bream was fatty and tender, and the side of wild vegetables added a subtle bitterness that complemented the dish. - Mackerel sushi roll: the mackerel sushi was thick and rich in flavor, with a hint of kelp. Overall, the dishes were gentle on the body, perfect for my post-health check and alcohol restriction period. I feel like the chef tailored the dishes to suit my body. Even though I've definitely become a lightweight when it comes to alcohol, I still ended up spending about 4 hours leisurely drinking at the restaurant. But hey, it was only the second day after my health check! Thank you for the delicious meal!
