Continuing with the 2022 reviews, I visited Yamagoya in the Higashiganrai area along Route 275. There is parking space in front and on the side of the building. They are open 24 hours, so I went for breakfast in the early morning. The interior is long and narrow with counter and table seating, and you can smell the unique tonkotsu aroma. Since it was breakfast time, there were no other customers when I arrived, and only 2 came in later. I bought a ticket from the machine and ordered my go-to "Shoyu Negi Ramen (810 yen)" with firm noodles. It was ready in about 8 minutes. The mild tonkotsu soup paired perfectly with the thick noodles and crunchy negi. I wanted to try the rice wrapped in seaweed dipped in the soup, but decided against it due to the calorie overload in the morning. Taste preferences vary, but the addictive and delicious flavor of the mild house-style ramen is recommended for those who enjoy it.

The first time I ate at Takigawa store. It must have been almost 25 years ago. No, maybe when I was a university student in Sapporo, I went with my part-time job friends. So, Yamakaya is firmly incorporated into my life. I had the usual miso ramen with extra noodles and added green onions. Yes, this is it. Thank you for the meal.

38th bowl of 2023♡♡5/9 After a night shift, the special miso negi ramen is delicious! It's really tasty with lots of garlic. I always crave ramen after a night shift, is that just an excuse? Either way, I'll definitely be back. Thank you for the meal!

38th cup of 2023♡♡ Night shift limited edition soy sauce ramen! I usually only have miso ramen, so I hesitated to try this one. But since it was a day when I couldn't eat garlic, I decided to give it a try. Wow, it was delicious! I'm sorry for underestimating it. It was my last cup before switching to shrimp salt ramen, but it was really good. The dashi flavor was excellent! Thank you for the meal!

2023♡♡29th bowl 4/8 Midnight (lol) Miso Chashu Ramen with extra pork fat. Changed to extra pork fat. Used a LINE coupon for a great deal on white leek dumplings set (lol) Brought my kid along, let's go! (lol) The parking lot was insanely crowded, never seen it this busy before! No waiting. Luckily, I had decided on miso ramen today. Why are there special miso and regular miso options? I was watching YouTube and everyone was eating special miso, so miso ramen it is! Is it just me, or does it feel lacking? I prefer the special miso, it was too light even though I added lots of garlic. I understand why people are obsessed with the special miso! But that doesn't mean it's bad (*^^*) Tried my kid's salt and premium salt soup, it was good! Even though I said I was looking forward to the limited edition, I didn't end up trying it. I might end up ordering the spicy miso or special miso (lol) Oh, the chashu was really delicious ❤ Thanks for the meal! \(^o^)/

2023♡♡27th Cup 4/1 After a night shift, I had the spicy miso ramen with extra spice on Saturday, and I couldn't resist getting the gyoza set because it was a great deal. The place was quite busy in the morning at Yamaokaya! The taste was as reliable as ever and really hit the spot for my post-night shift body. They accept PayPay here, which is great. Thank you for the delicious meal! \(^o^)/

Eating miso ramen and fried rice late at night is delicious. The noodles are firm, with extra change of back fat, and the thick miso soup with added garlic is tasty. The thick noodles have a unique and delicious flavor. The fried rice is spicy with black pepper. I couldn't resist adding white leeks and half a bowl of rice. It's cheap, delicious, and they always have it. They have a parking lot, and the bright and lively atmosphere even late at night, with cleanliness as well. Among chain restaurants, this is one of my favorites. It's a great place to be.

2023♡♡17th Cup, 2/17 After my night shift, my coworker Yukachan tried morning ramen for the first time! She was quite happy, which made me happy too. It's great to see more people liking Yamakoya. I had plans to go out for drinks afterwards, so I quickly finished my meal and left. There were quite a few customers even in the morning, showing that many people like Yamakoya. It seems like there are a lot of fans in Ebetsu. It might have been just a coincidence, but the chashu was thick, which was lucky. Thank you for the meal! pq´v`*)♪

2022♡♡12th Cup, 1/30 After finishing work in the evening, I had a special miso ramen with Yuka-chan (*^^*) Yuka-chan had her first experience at Yamaoka-ya and she really liked it. It's tough when your friends don't have the same taste in food, right? I had the special miso ramen and it was delicious. Yamaoka-ya two days in a row, no problem? Some were worried about that, but it's totally fine (laughs). How about you all? There weren't many customers due to the time, but there are always lots of cars parked outside! Thank you for the meal \(^o^)/

On New Year's Day, when we were returning from my wife's parents' house, we were looking for a place to eat but all the restaurants were closed for the holiday season. However, we came across the Yamagoya restaurant with its lights on, and we were relieved to find it open. We were grateful to the staff for working during the New Year holidays. We ordered our usual spicy miso ramen. We found out that we could get free gyoza by adding the restaurant on LINE as a friend. When we were tired of traditional New Year's dishes, the ramen really hit the spot. It was my first time trying gyoza, and it was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I suddenly felt like having "morning ramen" for a while. I realized that I hadn't been to Yamaokaya in a long time. I thought I had finally become a normal person since the cravings that used to attack me once a month had disappeared, but I guess not. I will choose the "morning ramen" from the ticket machine, of course. I can't eat a lot, so I'll sit at the counter and hand over my ticket. I'll just go with the regular options for everything. The morning ramen noodles are thinner than usual noodles, but I don't need to specify if I want them firm or soft. As for the oil, it doesn't matter if it's a lot or a little, it's morning after all. I don't need to worry about the shop's standards. I'll enjoy the umeboshi paste little by little without fully dissolving it in the soup. This makes me feel refreshed and clear-headed in the morning. Even though I don't get full just from this morning ramen, it's enough for me. I don't need to get a large portion. It's still dark outside, so I'll head out soon. Yamaokaya always leaves me in a dilemma. ♫

Today is the first day of my two-day weekend! I woke up around 3 am this morning. It's cold in Sapporo today! I read a lot of reviews from everyone and got hungry, but it's only 5 am now. There are a lot of TV commercials lately, especially for Yamagoya. I decided to go for breakfast ramen, even though it's a bit far. When I arrived, there was only one customer inside. I didn't know how to use the ticket machine, but I managed to order a regular breakfast ramen and used a free gyoza coupon from being a LINE friend. The staff kindly informed me that the gyoza was included in my order. The gyoza was chewy and delicious, with a small amount of filling. The breakfast ramen was consistently good as always. Overall, the service was great at this restaurant. After the meal, I realized that I forgot to use my JAF card for a free seasoned egg. Too bad! Now, I'm off to get my fourth vaccine shot.

"On my first visit in August 2022, I headed to Moerenuma Park in Sapporo with my camera in the morning, planning to also visit Okuzuru Green Park and Yurigahara Park. To avoid the city's traffic, I left early in the morning and planned to have breakfast at "Yamaokaya Higashiganrai-ten," where I had already checked out their "morning ramen." I ordered the "morning ramen" with a seasoned egg and green onions, opting for a single topping of green onions and skipping the pickled plum. The restaurant had two customers before me and one after, and it seemed quite busy for a little past 6:30 AM, possibly due to being understaffed with only one person handling cooking and serving. When my bowl arrived, I was a bit disappointed as the chashu was hidden under the seaweed, one half of the seasoned egg was partially submerged, and the other half was fully soaked in the broth. However, the portion of green onions was generous for a single topping. The noodles were slightly firm, which I personally didn't mind. Overall, the "morning ramen" at Yamaokaya was delicious! Interestingly, this Higashiganrai branch also houses Yamaokaya's headquarters. It would be intriguing if they offered menu items exclusive to their headquarters store. Price: 690 yen (Morning Ramen 510 yen / Seasoned Egg 120 yen / Green Onions 60 yen)"

After a long time, I visited the Yamagoka family restaurant for the first mountain climb after being discharged from the hospital. The ramen was good, with soy sauce ramen (690 yen), seaweed (120 yen), and half rice (130 yen) for me, and the spicy stamina ramen (920 yen) for my companion. It took less than 7 minutes for our orders to be ready. I started by sipping the soup... It was just right, with a bit too much lard but still delicious. Adding a little bean paste and garlic made it even better. The noodles seemed shorter than usual, which was a bit strange. The pork slices were tough and the flavor was lacking. The crunchy green onions were a nice touch. I found soy sauce for dumplings on the table and decided to drizzle it on rice with seaweed. It was perfect, but be careful not to add too much. The absence of the usual chef made me almost finish all the soup, but thankfully I didn't. Thank you for the meal.

Last time I had morning ramen, but today I visited for the lunch set at 11 am on a weekday. I ordered the special miso ramen with green onion toppings using a LINE coupon, along with the set's roasted pork bowl for only 890 yen, which is very cheap! I ordered everything as normal, but today the soup was a bit weak. There are other things that caught my attention as well. It was disappointing. Looking forward to the next visit. Thank you for the meal.

Today is the last day of my two-day weekend~♪ I woke up around 3 in the morning! I read a lot of reviews from everyone and decided to have breakfast! It's still cold in Sapporo today, isn't it? What should I eat for breakfast to warm up my body? It's always a multiple-choice question, right? Well, when I feel like going a little further, it's "Yamaokaya Ramen"! Arrived→ There are already 3 cars parked, even though it's before 6 in the morning! Amazing, right? Went inside→ The unique smell of pork bone broth greets you! The ticket machine has been changed to a touch panel! The interior of the shop is shining brightly! Bought→ Morning ramen for 490 yen including tax (laughs). Sat at the counter seat, handed the food ticket to the staff. The counter table is shining brightly! It's a 24-hour shop, but it's so clean and beautiful! Didn't use it, but became friends on LINE, so got a free plate of gyoza. Showed my JAF membership and got a free extra topping of char siu or flavored egg. Because it's morning, it's a bit troublesome! Overall impression after eating→ Delicious, delicious, delicious! It's been two years, but it tastes just like Yamaokaya's ramen! The ground plum on top of the seaweed is amazing! At first, I sprinkled some pepper and it was delicious. Then I added the ground plum and it changed the taste! The noodles in the morning ramen are thin and go well with the soup. Postscript→ I used to think Yamaokaya was a house-style ramen, but no! Yamaokaya's ramen is just Yamaokaya's ramen! It's a ramen shop that has taken root in Sapporo!

On May 7th, after the Golden Week holiday, May is usually a slow month every year, but this year is busy. I had to work overtime on this day and on my way home, I passed by Yamakoya Ramen. When I used to work in Otaru, I often stopped by ramen shops between Otaru and Sapporo's Higashi Ward on my way home because it was busy and the distance was far. (Yamakoya, Tetsuya, Kotetsu, Mitsuya) My current workplace is in Kawashimo, Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo, so there are not many ramen shops open late between there and my home in Higashi Naebo. There are no other options, but Yamakoya's ramen is great for a tired body. I chose the soy sauce chashu and sat at the end of the counter seat. There were many young customers. The chashu had a strong meaty flavor that was delicious. The thick noodles and rich soup went well together. The trendy rare and elegant chashu wouldn't suit this ramen. This wild and hearty chashu is perfect. The thick seaweed also made a strong statement until the end. But the best part is the soup! I've been conscious of not finishing the soup for the past five years, but I can't help but drink up the soy sauce soup at Yamakoya. It feels like the Imabari towel is absorbing the soup. Contrary to coming after overtime, I'd like to try going in the morning sometime. Thank you for the meal.

I had "morning ramen" here at the Tokari branch. This branch is located at the address where Yamakoya's headquarters is registered, but that doesn't mean it's the main branch. Yamakoya's first store is in Ushiku, Ibaraki. When they expanded to Hokkaido, they started with the Susukino branch. I chose the "morning ramen," which has umeboshi as a key ingredient. The umeboshi gives it a refreshing and light taste. Without the umeboshi, it would just be a simple tonkotsu shio ramen with a lot of oil. The "morning ramen" is a unique dish with umeboshi as the star. By the way, doesn't "morning ramen" sound like "Asada Ame"? The experience of having "morning ramen" at Yamakoya's headquarters was enjoyable. Yamakoya never fails to impress.

Oh, it's been a while since I had breakfast ramen at Yamakaya. Yeah, after that, I'll stop by the main store where Yamakaya's headquarters are registered, in Higashiganrai. What's up with Yamakaya, is it mostly men there? And at 6:30 in the morning, the customers are all old men, both in front of me and behind me. Of course, I'm an old man too, but still (^^;) Let's choose the "morning ramen" at the ticket machine. Huh? Two tickets came out? Oh, I put in a 1000 yen bill but only got 20 yen in change. Oh well, I accidentally pressed the "morning ramen" button twice (´・ω・`) I sat at the counter and explained the situation to the staff. They said they would give me the cash back later (^^) I ordered the "morning ramen" all normal. Even though you can have Genghis Khan in the morning at SR, having extra oil in the "morning ramen" is a bit tough. The noodles are already thin, so there's no need to specifically ask for them to be firm. They're already firm by default (^^) I also added the plum meat on top, which I've always liked. Is this plum meat from a tube? It didn't bother me before, but today it's unusually salty. Is the soup also salty today? Hmm? Maybe it's because of my condition? Everything seems a bit salty (´・ω・`) Well, it's getting brighter outside. What time is the sunrise today? Alright, time to get to work. Yamakaya always gives me trouble ♫

The first hike of the new year was at the traditional Yamatorizaki store. The ramen I ordered was the special miso ramen (790 yen), with seaweed (120 yen) and a half portion of rice (130 yen). My companion opted for the half rice set with special sauce (1,000 yen). After a 10-minute wait, our meals arrived. I started by sipping the soup, which had a rich miso flavor. It had been a while since I had anything other than soy sauce-based ramen, but this was not bad. However, it seemed like there was not enough lard despite not ordering a light option. I think the balance between the lard and sauce may not have been right. If this is the default, I would need to order a lighter version next time as it didn't quite suit my taste. The firm noodles I requested were spot on. The combination of thick noodles and miso was great. The half rice, however, was a bit disappointing, with dry and overcooked grains. But wrapping them in seaweed made them more enjoyable. With garlic, chili bean paste, and pepper on the side, I enjoyed my meal influenced by a conversation with my colleague. Thank you for the meal.

On a holiday where I slept in until the afternoon due to exhaustion from a business trip, I visited the Higashiganki store. It was rare to see only two female staff members working in the evening. I ordered my usual set: soy sauce ramen (690 yen), seaweed (120 yen), and half rice (130 yen). Oh? The ramen has gone up by 20 yen! I found out it started this month when I searched online. The ramen was ready in 5 minutes. I started by sipping the soup... It was a bit oily, but quite good and tasty. The noodles with a firm texture were also to my liking. I was a bit worried when I saw the staff, they seemed a bit rude. The ramen had plenty of green onions that were crunchy and delicious. I also liked the slightly firm texture of the pork shoulder chashu. However, adding garlic and bean paste in the middle of the meal was a mistake as it threw off the balance and made the soup too salty. The seaweed on rice was consistent and the rice was cooked just right. I almost finished all the soup without realizing it because the ramen was so good. It was a great bowl of ramen. The fact that the bowls and dishes were not greasy was probably due to the attentiveness of the female staff. Thank you for the meal.
