Sapporo Station's Tokyu Department Store. With Paseo and Esta closing down and stores moving around, it has become more difficult to decide where to have lunch at Sapporo Station. When thinking about what to eat at Tokyu, I often choose "Shabu Shabu Tokachi Hare" when I am with my child. We arrived around peak time at 1:00 PM and were the 7th group in line. We wrote down our names and waited. We waited for about 40 minutes. Each table had a thin curtain, creating a private atmosphere which was nice. Both of us ordered the "Tokachi Pork Shabu Shabu Platter." I added sushi for an extra 290 yen. You can also switch to a mini seafood bowl for an additional 290 yen. You can choose between white rice and mixed grain rice. The meat is Hokkaido pork (30g of loin, 30g of belly), vegetables, and a choice of noodles (ramen or Inaniwa udon) for the finale. I chose ramen for the finale! There are 3 types of dipping sauces: broth, ponzu, and sesame. There are plenty of vegetables, 10 varieties in total. Each person has their own pot. You can enjoy shabu shabu at your own pace. After finishing the noodles, we ordered another round of noodles. We also ordered an extra dipping sauce. Visited in September 2023.

On Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 12:40, my family of 5 dined at this restaurant. We were delighted by the tempting options that all seemed delicious and reasonably priced. We started with the Chicken and Vegetable Stir-fry with Black Vinegar for 1,050 yen (with free extra rice). The Chawanmushi was a great start, with a delicious clear broth and diced chicken, ginkgo nuts, and more. The refreshing sweet vinegar sauce was perfect for the hot weather, and the crispy chicken with plenty of vegetables (cabbage, carrots, onions, eggplant, zucchini) was a delightful combination. The tempura chicken became moist and flavorful as it soaked up the sauce. The Tempura Soba for 1,250 yen was a generous portion with shrimp, eggplant, shiitake mushrooms, and bell peppers. The Tokachi Clear Soba for 1,080 yen with extra noodles for 110 yen was a great deal with sushi (sweet shrimp, squid, salmon, tuna, cucumber, salmon roe) and tempura (shrimp, bell pepper, shiitake mushrooms). The Salmon Donburi with fresh Tokachi Soba for 1,099 yen plus extra noodles for 110 yen was another delicious choice. The soba noodles were tasty, and the dashi broth with a hint of mirin was well-balanced and Hokkaido-style. The total bill came to 4,699 yen, and we were completely satisfied with the delicious and satisfying lunch. Thank you for the feast!

Shabu-shabu Tokachi Hare Sapporo Tokyu Store - Kihada tuna bowl and Niikappu soba lunch set - ¥1,099 - Smooth pudding made with Nakasatsunai eggs - ¥520 Tokachi Hare is a place known for its delicious desserts. I have tried their desserts before, but this time I had a delicious lunch as well! The weekly special menu included a Kihada tuna bowl and Niikappu soba lunch set. It had a refined taste with luxurious use of natural tuna. The meal also came with a chawanmushi. The smooth pudding made with Nakasatsunai eggs was incredibly smooth and delicious. It's the type of pudding I really like. It was so smooth and creamy, it might just make it to my favorite pudding list! I might want to try completing the sweetness next time. On Saturday at 7:30 PM, the restaurant was almost full. We opted for the 120-minute all-you-can-drink option for 2 people with a requirement of ordering 2 items per person. The menu mainly consists of meals, but there are also 2 choices of appetizers. We chose the taco fried chicken and cartilage fried chicken as our appetizers. The appetizers were lacking in variety, so I wish they had more options like Tama. After having 2 glasses of draft beer, we enjoyed about 5 glasses of highball.

Visited the particular store in Tokyu Department Store for the first time. Ordered a luxurious lunch menu for a family gathering during the equinoctial week. The menu was more affordable than a family restaurant, and I thought it was a good restaurant. Enjoyed the Premium Tokachi Thousand-Year Shabu-Shabu Hot Pot and Sapporo Classic beer. The shabu-shabu was delicious, so we added more meat. The course allowed us to choose the final meal and dessert. The total for 4 people was 14,800 yen.

After shopping at the department store, I felt a bit hungry and wanted to have a beer, so I wandered around the restaurant area and decided to go to "Shabu Shabu Tokachi Hare Sapporo Tokyu Store". They had just renovated, and they asked if I preferred a private room or a table by the window. Since I wasn't having shabu shabu, I chose a window seat to enjoy a light drink before heading home. I ordered the Tokachi millennium pork fillet cutlet and shrimp fry set for 1,480 yen, with mixed grain rice, and a lunch drink special (120 minutes until 5 pm) for 990 yen. I saved 100 yen by using the drink special coupon. As I looked outside, the food arrived! The cabbage was already dressed, and the mixed grain rice came with miso soup, grated radish, and condiments like chili and tartar sauce. The main dishes were not very large, but the pork cutlet was tender and moist, and the shrimp fry was delicious with tartar sauce. I enjoyed them with my chilled beer. As I finished my snacks and rice, I decided to pair the remaining mixed grain rice with white wine. It's a shame that the all-you-can-eat option is only available for groups of two or more, as I would have liked to try it alone. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you!

I originally wanted to eat soba but changed my mind and ordered the sweet and sour bird with sauce set meal for around 1000 yen. After ordering, I realized it was very similar to Ootoya. I thought maybe I should have gone to Ootoya instead, but decided to enjoy the differences and waited. The set meal comes with extra mixed grain rice (I couldn't resist upgrading to a large portion). The large portion is free. There are more vegetables like eggplant and zucchini compared to Ootoya, and the variety is greater. It also comes with chawanmushi. The taste of the sweet and sour sauce is pretty much the same. The large rice portion is probably just a regular size for adult men. Given the location in Tokyu, I guess this portion size is suitable for the clientele here. For me, it was just the right amount and I was satisfied. I think dishes like steamed vegetables or shabu-shabu might be good for dinner. Considering the location and the price range, I think it's totally worth it for dinner here. Thank you for the meal!

I had a Goto ticket remaining so I decided to use it. Even though I am a fan of Tokachi, I chose a seafood bowl. The specialty of the restaurant was Tokachi pork dishes, but I was drawn to the marinated fish bowl. The rice was seasoned with vinegar, which was delicious! The seafood included salmon, octopus, white fish, and yellowtail, providing a satisfying variety. On the other hand, the soba noodles in Tokachi Shintoku had a decent portion size. The meal also came with salad and chawanmushi, offering good value for the price. The staff wore casual clothes with aprons, which was a fresh and slightly unusual touch. The service was polite. On weekends, I wanted to have some dessert while waiting for the bus for 1 hour and 30 minutes, so I went to the nearby Tokyu Department Store and found reasonably priced pancakes with lots of fruit toppings. The pancakes were served on a plate with a generous amount of whipped cream and black honey on top, creating a delicious combination. The pancakes were thick and fluffy, and tasted great when mixed with the cream and ice cream. I was so impressed by the taste that I visited the restaurant again and ordered the Tokachi Hare Obon lunch set, matcha pancakes, and strawberry parfait. The Obon set came with tempura and salt for dipping, which was perfect for me as I prefer salt. Everything was delicious and I especially enjoyed pouring the black honey over the matcha pancakes. The strawberry parfait was larger than expected, with plenty of whipped cream and caramel as a nice touch. I savored each bite while enjoying the view of Estar from the window. Overall, I found the sweets to be a great value and I look forward to visiting again.

I decided to have lunch at Tokyu Department Store and chose to try Tokachi Hare for the first time. The restaurant was surprisingly spacious and clean. There were a few customers already seated but it was not full. I ordered a set meal of pork bowl, sushi, and soba using a tablet before 12 o'clock. It took over 30 minutes for the food to arrive, which seemed excessively long for a weekday. The pork in the pork bowl was decent, but the flavor was too bland, and the bowl itself was not suitable for eating from, making it difficult to enjoy. The miso soup had mushy vegetables and did not look appetizing. The sushi and soba set was average at best. The only positive was that the soba was nicely chilled.

The Tokachi clear sushi, tempura, soba, and chawanmushi set is a great deal where you can enjoy a variety of Japanese dishes. You can choose between hot or cold soba, and the tempura includes shrimp, vegetables, and mushrooms with a tasty salt seasoning. While there are no premium sushi toppings, the sushi was satisfying. The chawanmushi had few ingredients but was delicious. The restaurant has a lot of seating, making it a comfortable place to relax. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Sapporo Tokyu Department Store to kill time. Every time I pass by Tokyu, I can't help but remember the rooftop game corner where I used to hang out. I would bring friends I met through a certain rhythm game, or even shoot game videos there... I have mostly retired from playing the rhythm game now, but the memories are still vivid. The restaurant "Tokachi Hare" where I visited this time is located on the 10th floor, right above the former game corner. The newly opened beer garden seems to be doing well in its place. I hope it thrives, replacing the rooftop amusement park and game corner. Since I already had a meal, I decided to try their dessert menu. The popular menu includes shabu-shabu, sashimi, donburi, tonkatsu, and for desserts, they offer ice cream, parfaits, and even a mismatched pancake at the shabu-shabu restaurant. I have seen parfaits on the menu at izakayas, but pancakes are a first for me. Although I'm not really hungry, I was curious about the pancake at the shabu-shabu restaurant, so I ordered the "Fruitful Pan Cake (¥1100)". It arrived in about 10 minutes. The pancake is more like a sponge cake rather than a fluffy souffle or a dense hotcake. It has a decent thickness, with a smooth eggy flavor throughout, making it quite delicious. The whipped cream is quite sweet and heavy, and the honey provided is unnecessary due to the sweetness. The vanilla ice cream was refreshing and balanced out the sweetness. The fruits included strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and canned mango. Although it looks great even now, adding kiwi could make it even more colorful and visually appealing. Personally, I might prefer this pancake over the one at "B***mi***shi***" on the basement 1st floor of Tokyu. It's not overly soft, making it easier to enjoy the flavors. This restaurant feels like a family restaurant and offers a diverse menu, making it very convenient. I hope to try their specialty shabu-shabu one day... Bon appétit!

I used it on the way home from work. I had a 2-hour all-you-can-drink plan, and for my meal, I had Tokachi soybean tofu, Tokachi pork and vegetable steamed dish, and Tokachi herb beef steak. The beer mugs were ice-cold and perfect for a cheers drink! The meals were also strongly influenced by Tokachi, and each one was delicious.

I visited for lunch! I had the pork bowl made with Tokachi pork and the Zangi made with chicken from Nakasatsunai Village, both of which were delicious. Perhaps because it was late, I was seated at a nice window table with a good view, and I was able to spend a very relaxing time. I visited here because I wanted to try their snow ice, but they were unexpectedly sold out! I couldn't believe it! So, I decided to try a dessert made with Tokachi ingredients instead. I chose the Tokachi cream cheese cheesecake. The cream cheese flavor was mild, and the cheesecake was a bit firm, more like a rare cheesecake. I was hoping for a stronger cream cheese taste, so I was a bit disappointed. The price was a bit high at 650 yen, maybe because the strawberries and blueberries were fresh? I wish I had just gone for the snow ice after all. Or maybe I should have chosen the parfait, which was around the same price. I wonder when the snow ice will be back...

Before eating, coffee was served, then the tofu arrived, which tasted just like good tofu as expected. I used to be into silky tofu, so I remember buying an expensive one at the supermarket that tasted similar. When I finished eating, the odango arrived, which took some time. As expected, they were small, served with salted kelp and soybean flour, and roasted green tea. Since it also comes with roasted green tea, the tea time cost-performance may not be bad until 5 p.m. But your stomach might get full. There were flavors like sweet soy sauce, yomogi azuki, and sesame. The taste was average. I made a slightly strange order, but there are many other delicious-looking items on the menu that I'm curious about. Restaurants in department stores often offer safe options around 3.0, but this place had many appealing menu items and was interesting, although the taste cannot be compared to specialty stores. The set included three dipping sauces (sesame sauce, soba sauce, homemade ponzu), a small dish of tofu topped with salmon roe, 2 types of sashimi, and a mango squash drink. The hot pot ingredients included "Today's 10 types of assorted vegetables" and "Premium Tokachi Millennium Pork assortment (50g of belly meat, 50g of loin meat)". I enjoyed the individual hot pot. I finished all the dipping sauces and got a refill. The all-you-can-drink drinks included kiwi squash. The tempura assortment included peppers, smelt, shrimp, mushrooms, which were decent but not as good as the tempura I had the day before. For the finishing meal, I chose "Inaniwa Udon". For dessert, I had ice cream. I was satisfied with the unique drinks and did not feel like I was missing out on the all-you-can-drink option. The total cost was 3,767 yen for the meal and 438 yen for the all-you-can-drink soft drinks (coupon price).

And it's located in the Tokyu Department Store restaurant area, where it seems like I can get a seat without a reservation because there are plenty of seats! As expected, they were closing in two hours, so they easily guided me to a table with a view of the night scenery. The all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu for two hours costs 3,685 yen. Not just shabu-shabu, but also some appetizers are included in the all-you-can-eat menu! I decided to add a drink all-you-can option with a coupon from a certain website. Leaving the drinks aside, the all-you-can-eat menu was scheduled to start at a specific time and continue until closing time, but they allowed us to start 15 minutes earlier. The first round automatically served pork loin, pork belly, chicken, and seasonal vegetables. After finishing, it was time for seconds! The meat wasn't the typical thinly sliced type you find in all-you-can-eat places, so it was quite satisfying. The appetizers included teppanyaki-style dumplings, french fries, chilled tofu, and other items that even older gentlemen would enjoy. Oh, I almost forgot, you can choose from five types of broth. We chose the spicy hot pot and bonito broth, and in the end, we dove into rice! We added cheese to the hot pot and plenty of seaweed to the bonito broth! With the all-you-can-eat ingredients, we enjoyed the meal to the fullest. This place where you can quietly enjoy shabu-shabu without waiting in Sapporo Station might be a hidden gem. If they had beef, it would have been perfect, but my stomach was full, and I was pleasantly tipsy.
