I am alone in Kushiro, it's been a while since I last came here. This will be my last time in Kushiro. There are still many shops listed in my notes, but I know the number of places I can visit is limited. I don't want to leave those places unvisited, so when I return home, I plan to light a fire in the fireplace. However, I need to start building the fireplace first, so it might take some time. Today, among the few shops I can visit, I chose "JIRI." Is it a cake shop? I didn't think too much about it when I wrote it in my notes, but now I'm curious, what is "JIRI"? I guess people from Otaru would immediately think of a woman's butt, but for me, it's more like "Jiri" in Kushiro. When I looked it up, I found out that "jiri" is actually a dialect meaning "dense sea fog that occurs in the Hokkaido region during the summer." It seems like it can be used in phrases like "Today, there's a thick 'jiri'." I've decided it must be related to that, so I want to go see the cakes. I didn't use the navigation properly, and I'm directionally challenged, so I'm already tired. Finally found it, but there doesn't seem to be many products. They only have pudding, no cakes. When I asked, "Do you have coffee?" they said, "Yes, we do." So I ordered coffee and pudding. They don't have soft-serve ice cream, as it's being cleaned in the machine. The coffee is made from deep beans, brewed lightly, so it has a bit of bitterness but is quite light. There are two men and two women, and they seem to be making something in the back, even though most things are already done. Are they preparing for tomorrow? I'm not sure. The coffee is made with beans of your choice, but it tastes good.
