I was torn between dumplings and hamburg steak, but ended up at a dumpling factory. I have been to the one in Higashi-ku before and I know it's delicious. There are table seats inside the store, so I sit down. I ordered the Dumpling Factory set meal with extra rice. It was brought to me in less than 15 minutes. It came with two large dumplings and a big portion of zangi. The large dumplings were filled generously with juicy meat, and the slightly thick and chewy skin with a crispy crust was delicious! Eating them with soy sauce, chili oil, and vinegar made the rice go down endlessly. The zangi was crispy and coated with a sweet sauce. It also came with mayonnaise and mustard, which made it even more enjoyable. The zangi itself had a curry flavor seasoning, which was great! The miso soup had a sweet vegetable flavor and was full of vegetables, serving as a perfect side dish. Adding chili oil to it also tasted delicious.

2023♡♡67th Cup 7/29 Early Afternoon Salt Ramen This place has ramen, and Gyoza Seizosho has various menu items at each store, which is fun! I got the lunch set, so I could also eat a side dish, it was the best! What a happy hour it was! It seems they are open on weekends too, that's great! I should have taken the train (laughs). Now, about the ramen! I took a sip of the soup, it's refreshing but also has a richness to it, however, it starts to feel increasingly salty. Maybe it's meant to be a finishing ramen. I wanted to have it with Zangi, so I ordered it, delicious (laughs). The Sapporo Nishi store is also open now, I'm happy because I wanted one near the station. Gyoza Seizosho was a place I wanted to visit during happy hour. The seats at the Shiroishi store were spinning around, this might make drunk people fall (laughs). The back seems different, so if I drink, I'll ask to be seated there. Thank you for the meal!

For lunch, I planned to have ramen at a nearby famous spicy miso ramen shop, but it was closed for the day. So, I decided to go to this restaurant and ended up ordering the gyoza lunch set for 850 yen. You can choose the amount of rice, and I went with the regular size. I also got to choose a side dish, and I picked the potato salad. The gyoza here has a thick and chewy skin with a crispy sear, which makes it delicious. The two large pieces of fried chicken were juicy and hot. The miso soup was full of vegetables and had a strong ginger flavor, which was also tasty. I finished everything, but my stomach was quite full afterwards. Overall, it was very delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Maybe just a one-time thing??? The dumplings were delicious ❤️ The beer is cheap so I couldn't resist ❤️ Thank you for the meal ❤️ I was called by Uobei so I'm moving there now ❤️

I finally got to try the dumplings at the dumpling factory that I've always wanted to eat! Each dumpling was firm and satisfying, and I ended up feeling full even though I had planned to just have a drink. During happy hour, beer was only 250 yen per glass, so I had two. My friend and I ordered set meals, and then we also got 4 pieces of fried chicken and soba with a drink for about 5000 yen in total. So cheap!

The inside of the store was surprisingly spacious, but there may be few seats where you can sit comfortably. During happy hour, you can enjoy Dewar's Highball at a low price. I ordered mixed soba and gyoza! The mixed soba exceeded my expectations, with thick noodles that were very satisfying. When you use the condiments on the table, the mixed soba becomes even more delicious. The gyoza was also big and filled with juicy filling, making my mouth happy. Thank you very much!

I ordered the Gyoza lunch set which came with two large gyoza, one zangi, miso soup, rice, pickles, and a choice of one side dish. I chose cucumber and zasai salad. The portions were generous, and the main dishes of gyoza and zangi were delicious. The taste was typical of a good chain restaurant, neither exceptionally good nor bad. With a price of 850 yen and good portion size, the cost performance was great.

I visited a Sapporo Gyoza manufacturing store called Shiroishi, which I really like. They have a 24-hour frozen gyoza sales area on the right side of the store, and on the left side, you can eat in. They offer draft beer for 250 yen, which is quite a nice price. It would be nice to enjoy gyoza with a drink, but I couldn't drink as I was driving. The gyoza comes in the usual 5-piece pack, but they also have a daily special gyoza, so I decided to try that. It was a bit larger in size and cost 700 yen for 3 pieces. They had cheese gyoza and lamb gyoza, and I chose the lamb gyoza as it seemed more unique. The lamb flavor was not very strong, more like a hint of lamb. But it was a rare gyoza that you don't find easily elsewhere. The gyoza had a crispy texture with a lot of starch in the sauce, and it came with mayonnaise and spicy mustard, making it a satisfying and indulgent dish. Overall, the gyoza was consistently delicious. I prefer regular-sized gyoza over jumbo ones, as the balance of flavors can be disrupted by oversized gyoza. It was a great meal!

Visit date April 8, 2023. It's been about 2 and a half years since my last visit. When I came after a long time, there was a sign at the entrance... It says "Happy Hour". Oh!! Beer for 200 yen, Highball and Lemon Sour for 100 yen, what a great deal! This calls for a shift from having rice with a Gyoza set to drinking alcohol (laughs). Even if you order just Gyoza or appetizers separately, the menu has expanded. Although it's not quite an izakaya, there is a sufficient lineup for enjoying alcohol. There were snacks for 250 yen each in the fridge. You can have a lot of fun with this, as you can self-report to the staff. I also ordered Karaage and Yakisoba. The Karaage was crispy and had a good volume, while the Yakisoba had chewy noodles and was delicious. Plus, it came with Karaage on top (laughs). It was quite filling. Happy Hour will be held again from the 24th to the 30th of this month, so I'll aim to go again (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

When I went to the restaurant, it was unexpectedly closed on a temporary basis on Monday. I wanted to eat oily noodles, but unfortunately. So, I went to this place instead. I had mixed noodles with dumplings. The menu explains how to eat mixed noodles. It seems like they assume you will adjust the taste to your liking, as the original seasoning is not that strong, but it was delicious as it is. The noodles were chewy and had a great texture. I tried adding the "yellow ichimi togarashi" on the table, and it was really spicy. For those addicted to spicy food, they also provide plenty of sansho pepper. The dumplings were just regular ones, but they were big and juicy. Maybe they use special wheat for the dough. Today's meal was a bit expensive, but they also have affordable lunch options like wheat noodles, ice curry, and TKG. I'll make this place part of my routine in the neighborhood.

Located along the Kanko-dori and Nango-dori intersection, with parking available at the back but can be difficult to park due to snow. This is the first time I've come across a gyoza manufacturing facility outside of Susukino. The gyoza here is simply delicious. The large gyoza is truly huge. Even the regular gyoza is quite big. They are served fresh off the grill, so juicy that the broth splatters. They are quite garlicky though (sweat). I ordered the gyoza lunch set for 790 yen and added a plate of 5 gyoza for 580 yen. The gyoza here is really delicious. And it's cheap too. They provide soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper, and sansho pepper for your preference.

I went to Shiraiishi Gyoza Factory! Today they had pork soup, so I came with high expectations. I ordered the usual jumbo dumpling set. When I asked if my LINE friend's order was pork soup, they said it had minced meat in it. I was a bit confused. When the food arrived, it looked the same as always. Oh well, let's eat. I mixed vinegar, black sesame, and soy sauce in the leek side dish, dipped the dumplings, and enjoyed. It's delicious! The rice is going down well. As for the pork soup, it was the same as always. I checked multiple times, but there was a little minced meat at the bottom. Is this what they call pork soup? Oh well, it can't be helped. I was expecting something a bit different even with pork in it. But the dumplings are delicious, so I'll come back again. I wish I had a couple more violet dumplings though. (laughs)

First visit. The table seats about 20 people. I ordered the gyoza lunch for 790 yen. It came with two large gyoza, a small side dish, daily zangi, miso soup, and rice with free large serving. The gyoza was juicy with plenty of vegetables. The daily side dish options included potato salad, pickled mackerel, and curry. I chose the curry and it was delicious! The zangi was seasoned with salt and the sauce was great. Overall, the food was delicious and the cost performance was good. I will definitely go back!

The parking lot here is narrow and inconvenient. It is located right next to the store, but even compact cars have a hard time fitting in. There were quite a few customers in the store during lunchtime. I decided to order the large gyoza set meal. The water is self-service. There are various menu options, but I love the large gyoza. The meal includes rice, four large gyoza, pickles, and miso soup. I think you can have unlimited rice and miso soup refills. As I was enjoying my meal, the dish arrived. First, I pour vinegar into the dish with green onions, then I grate black pepper on top. I add a little soy sauce and eat the large gyoza. It's impossible to eat it in one bite. The vinegar is quite strong, so be careful not to choke. Mmm, delicious! I take a bite of rice! Mmm, delicious! I can't stop eating the gyoza. The miso soup is filled with ingredients like bean sprouts, daikon radish, cabbage, and carrots. The rice is warm and fluffy. I used to visit when they opened the Aozora Gyoza or the main store in Motomachi. The female staff here in Shiraito are also very kind and provide great service. For first-time visitors, scan the QR code on the table to add a friend and get a 10% discount on your first visit. Check the flyer on the table for more details. They also offer takeout. Arrived at the restaurant right after it opened on Sunday at 11 am. There was one group of customers already there, followed by two more groups and one individual. It was my second visit in 5 months. There were 4 female staff members. The lunch menu had expanded with new items, including a new "wheat soba" dish exclusive to the Shiraiishi location. It is made with a blend of gyoza skin and other wheat for the noodles. I decided to order the "Wheat Soba and Factory Set Lunch" (1180 yen) this time. I chose the cold soba option. I picked the "soft pork stew" from the selection in the ice showcase, which was heated in the microwave. Surprisingly, it took about 15 minutes for the food to arrive. The wheat soba came in a plate-like dish and had a substantial volume. It was slightly thicker than regular soba noodles, with a strong texture and a good aroma. The broth was a bit spicy and refreshing. There was plenty of chopped green onions and mountain wasabi on the side. The Zangi (fried chicken) was juicy and flavorful, with a crispy and thin coating similar to Karaage. It was served with a sauce, mayonnaise, and Western mustard. The two large gyoza were full of meat juices when bitten into, with a perfect balance of meat, vegetables, garlic, and chives. The soft pork stew lived up to its name, being tender and lightly seasoned. Overall, the meal was satisfyingly delicious, and I had a better impression compared to my previous visit. Despite initially thinking it was a bit pricey at over a thousand yen, the generous portion made it worth it. I will definitely come back again!

(Visit on August 10, 2022) I visited the restaurant at 3:30 PM for some daytime drinking, not lunch. I ordered: - Draft beer 500 yen - Gyoza (dumplings) 520 yen - Shirai's Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) 580 yen - Highball (whiskey and soda) 400 yen Gyoza is a must when drinking, right? When dining alone, I hesitate to order the "large gyoza" though. The gyoza had a chewy skin and the filling was lightly seasoned, which is my preferred type of gyoza. Lately, I enjoy eating it with vinegar and pepper, as I was taught here. I ordered another Highball as I felt the need for more snacks, so I got the Tamagoyaki. It had the perfect firmness and tasted delicious with grated daikon radish. I felt like there were not enough snack options on the menu. Thank you for the meal. *It seems that there was a 10% discount (I checked the receipt just now) without any explanation. And the Highball... Well, I don't mind benefiting from it. I'll make sure to return and pay it forward.

On a sunny holiday, I took a leisurely walk and had a late lunch. Despite calling ahead to make a reservation, I walked to the restaurant which was only a 7-minute walk away. I was seated at a 4-person table at the back of the restaurant. I ordered a Strong Lemon Sour and the Zangi lunch set with regular rice. The set included 10 pieces of Zangi, white rice, miso soup, pickles, and a choice of side dish from the selection corner, where I chose potato salad. The miso soup was full of ingredients like daikon, carrots, cabbage, burdock, shimeji mushrooms, onions, aburaage, and green onions. The Zangi was small but tasty, with a crispy coating made with plenty of potato starch. The potato salad had a mix of diced and mashed potatoes, with boiled eggs and a mustard mayo dressing. Feeling good, I also ordered some pan-fried dumplings and another Strong Lemon Sour from the refillable pitcher. The dumplings had a crispy skin and a well-balanced filling of vegetables and meat, showing the expertise of a dumpling specialty shop. The refillable pitcher cost 1000 yen for 4 servings, so with the 600 yen Strong Lemon Sour, I could enjoy 5 drinks in total. It's a great deal at 320 yen per drink! I thought ending the meal with boiled dumplings would be fitting, and they were delicious with a chewy skin and a quiet flavor. I'm grateful to have a dumpling shop in the neighborhood and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

- Large dumplings: Big and juicy. They have a strong flavor and are delicious. - Large shrimp dumplings: A whole plump shrimp with a surimi-like filling. Looks the same as the large dumplings but has a different taste, also delicious. - Salted fried chicken: Moist coating with juicy chicken breast. Goes perfectly with lemon and yuzu pepper. - Mixed noodles: Surprisingly light. I wish there was a bit more to it. Overall, it was delicious. The atmosphere doesn't seem like a place to linger. Next time, I'll try the set meal!

This time, I visited the SAPPORO Gyoza Manufacturing Plant in Shiraishi, which has several locations in Sapporo. I had been curious about it every time I passed by, so this was my first visit. I parked my car in the shared parking lot behind the store and headed inside. Next to the store, there was an unmanned gyoza vending machine, which seems to be popping up everywhere lately. Inside the store, there was a retro atmosphere with modern stainless steel tables, and you could see the process of making gyoza through the glass, as the name suggests, it is a manufacturing plant. For some reason, 70s enka songs were playing as background music. As for the menu, I was puzzled why it was on paper, but I thought it would be easier to order with a menu that had photos. From the lunch menu, I ordered the Zangi lunch and my wife ordered the Gyoza lunch. We could choose one side dish from a display case, so I chose mapo tofu and my wife chose potato salad. The Zangi didn't have any seasoning on it and had a little sweet vinegar sauce, so I ended up putting a lot of mayonnaise on it to eat. Isn't Zangi supposed to be pre-seasoned? It was my first time eating Zangi that tasted just like starch. Well, it's my fault for not ordering gyoza at a place that specializes in it (laughs). The miso soup had plenty of ingredients and was satisfying to drink. The mapo tofu side dish was slightly spicy and delicious. I realized later that the microwave next to the display case was for warming up the side dishes. My wife said the gyoza was delicious, so I'll have to try it next time since it's a gyoza manufacturing plant. Thank you for the meal.

A new dumpling restaurant opened in the neighborhood at 12:00. The energetic staff greeted me with a warm welcome as I was seated at the counter, which had a wide window overlooking the ring road. Although it was a single seat, the atmosphere was bright and comfortable. I had to start with the impressive lemon sour for 600 yen, which is essential because you can only order the refillable pitcher sour later if you order this first. The presentation of the Super Lemon Sour is perfect for Instagram. It was quite difficult to drink and a bit overpriced. For food, I tried the octopus dumplings (3 pieces) for 730 yen since the shrimp was not available. The large chunks of octopus had a strong presence and brought out the sweetness of the cabbage. However, even for a big guy like me, they were a bit too big and hard to eat, so there was no advantage to their size. The taste, on the other hand, was really good. There was no hint of any frozen taste or unpleasant smell. I would like to try both shrimp and octopus next time. I also ordered a large pitcher sour for 2000 yen (equivalent to 10 cups of sour). The pitcher was surprisingly large and heavy. The individual large dumplings were 220 yen each and were deliciously cooked, as expected from a dumpling restaurant. I also tried the Tare Zangi (1 piece) for 220 yen and the salted chicken drumstick (1 piece) for 240 yen. I took a big bite of the hot meat as soon as it was served. Both the Zangi and the chicken drumstick were oozing with fat. It felt like injected meat or a convenience store hot snack. The coating was too crispy for my liking. However, the dumplings were excellent, with no frozen taste and pure deliciousness. I believe I can make better use of this place on my next visit.

The main store is located on the east side of the circular road, with four other stores in the city. They also have a growing number of unmanned vending machines called "Sapporo Miso Gyoza" attached to the store. Besides the owner, there were three female staff members. The background music playing was 70s Showa-era songs. The counter is divided by transparent acrylic panels. The menu seems to have been recently raised in price, which is understandable in these times. This time, I ordered the "Keema Curry Mazesoba" (890 yen). It arrived in about 10 minutes, with a side of extra rice. The menu suggested mixing in the "Chidori Vinegar" on the table, but I didn't add it as I couldn't imagine how it would go with Keema (laughs). The Keema was mild and not very spicy, so I added a spoon of chili oil from the table, which made it taste even better. The thick noodles were chewy. After finishing the noodles, I added the extra rice. The cream cheese provided was a nice touch. Overall, it was delicious and satisfying. I was expecting a more unique flavor, but maybe because the Keema was on the sweeter side, it felt like a taste more suited for children. Should I have added the Chidori Vinegar? (laughs) Next time, I'll try the dumplings.
