I finally went to "Endo" which I had been interested in for a while. Located in the Chuo Market in Osaka, Fukushima, it is open to the general public. Pass through the gate of the central market, look straight ahead at the clock tower, and go to the left. As you go further back, there is an area for food and drink shops, and you can also park your car in the parking area in front of the shops!! At around 12:00 on a weekday, there were about 2 groups waiting in front of me. I peeked inside the shop, told the staff the number of people, and then waited outside where I was soon guided to my table. My mother and I were seated at a table in the back. The ordering method is "omakase" (most people order this), where 5 pieces of sushi are served on a plate, and you can have as many plates as you like. If there are any types of sushi you don't like, you can let them know in advance and they will offer something else. Each plate costs 1000 yen + consumption tax. They will ask if you want to order red miso soup at the beginning (400 yen + consumption tax). Soy sauce is available on the table and you can use a brush to apply it. I ordered "omakase" and red miso soup. Since my mother doesn't like sea urchin and salmon roe, I informed them. 1st plate: Conger eel, sea urchin, sea bream, medium fatty tuna, amberjack. The conger eel that everyone says is delicious!! It melts in your mouth. The rice is small and easy to eat, soft and delicious without being too firm, I like this kind of sushi. I also like sea urchin, it's nice to be able to try various types of sushi. 2nd plate: Yellowtail, ark shell, scallop, medium fatty tuna, conger eel. They said to eat the conger eel without soy sauce. It's nice to be able to try seasonal items. The medium fatty tuna is different from the 1st plate, it has good fat content and is delicious! 3rd plate: Shrimp, egg, abalone, rolled sushi (tuna), octopus. Wow, abalone... such a luxurious ingredient! The octopus was very tender and delicious. Red miso soup: Clam miso soup. It has plenty of chopped myoga and a great flavor. It goes well with sushi. It's nice to be able to try a little bit of various things and have as much as you like. Since it's a sushi restaurant in the market, I thought it might be busy, but it was not at all. The service was very polite, and even elderly people and families with small children can feel at ease. The couple with a 5-year-old child sitting next to us seemed to be visiting for the first time, and the staff explained everything to them in a kind manner. The way they explained and the friendly service with smiles can make the initial nervousness disappear (*^^)v I thought I would bring my little one next time too.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant that never fails to impress me every time I visit. I arrived around 6:20 on a Thursday. Although Tabelog states their opening hours are from 5:00, the restaurant's website says they open at 6:00. Depending on the day, there may be a sign saying they will open at 6:15. It's a bit unpredictable. Before the pandemic, there used to be long lines even before opening, but on this day, it was empty at 6:20 and I could enter easily. There are no menus or price lists, so first-timers might feel nervous, but you can imagine around ¥1500 per plate for a 5-piece set. When you finish a plate, they will ask if you want another one. They serve different kinds of sushi that you might not usually choose, which is exciting. The taste of both the fish and the rice is amazing. The slightly sweet aftertaste is delightful. And the red miso soup is a must-try, it's delicious. If you come by car, you can park right in front of the restaurant for ¥150, which is cheaper than a coin parking lot. To find the restaurant, walk towards the clock in the center of the market. When you reach the clock, look to your left and you will see the restaurant. On this day, both of us had three plates each, totaling 6 plates for ¥8,580. That's about ¥1430 per plate. Quite affordable.

I arrived at the restaurant around 10:30 am after having some errands nearby. I was feeling hungry after walking a bit from the station in the hot weather. I had to wait for 5-10 minutes as there was one group ahead of me. When I entered, there were some empty seats as the previous customers had left altogether. I was given some warm tea as soon as I sat down, and the staff asked if I would like the chef's choice. I also ordered a miso soup. The first plate had eel, sea urchin, sea bream, fatty tuna, and yellowtail. The eel was thinly sliced and sweet, with a touch of Mitsuba between the rice and seaweed, giving it a nice texture. The sea urchin was abundant and creamy, with a fantastic flavor that almost made me feel tipsy. The fatty tuna was rich and satisfying on its own. The second plate had crab, ark shell, scallop, fatty tuna, and seared cutlassfish. The seared cutlassfish had a great texture and a lovely smoky taste, which I really enjoyed. I'm not a big fan of tuna, so having two thick slices was a bit much for me, but I should have mentioned my preference when ordering. The miso soup had clams, myoga, and Mitsuba, creating a delightful aroma. I was satisfied after the second plate, so I didn't order a third one. I would love to come back with an empty stomach to experience the joy of the sea urchin again. By the time I left, there were more than four groups waiting, so it seems like arriving early even on weekdays is a good idea!

I visited the restaurant for the second time. I arrived at 10:00 in the morning and there was zero waiting time. Lucky me. I had 3 dishes and red miso soup, which cost 4,670 yen. The red miso soup was incredibly delicious! It had plenty of shredded myoga and clams, which added a wonderful flavor. The sushi had thick slices of fresh ingredients and was very tasty.

We were really looking forward to going with my daughter this time because last time we had made a reservation but couldn't go due to poor health. We reserved for 12 o'clock and were seated at a table in the back. When asked if we wanted the chef's choice or our favorite sushi, we ordered the chef's choice. It was 1300 yen for 5 pieces on one plate. The sea urchin and conger eel were so creamy!! The sea bream had thick flesh, and my daughter, who loves white fish, was impressed. It was convenient to be able to brush on the soy sauce with a brush and not put on too much. We also ordered red miso soup, which was filled with plenty of myoga, green onions, and large clams, which was great! We each had 3 plates because 2 plates were not enough, and we were very satisfied!!! It was a luxurious lunch, but it's okay once in a while (o^^o). I would love to visit again.

In the Fukushima Central Market, there is a sushi restaurant called "Hyakumeiten". I visited for the first time at 6 am to avoid the crowds. The restaurant has 5 counter seats, 3 tables for 4 people, and 1 private booth in the back, with a small layout. It is a very popular place, so there is often a line. The menu mainly consists of omakase (chef's choice) sushi, where you receive 5 pieces of sushi per plate and can order more as you like. If you have any dislikes, you can let the chef know in advance and they will serve you something else. Each plate costs 1000 yen, and they will ask if you want red miso soup for 400 yen. There is no soy sauce dish, instead, you use a brush on the table to apply soy sauce directly to the sushi. The sushi is all very fresh, and you can enjoy a variety of different types of fish with each piece.

15 years ago, when I ate here, the green tea was piping hot, the rice was warm and fluffy, and the sushi melted in my mouth. But today was the worst. The appetizer was frozen food. The rice was not freshly made and was at room temperature. The finish was slimy and unpleasant. I recommend eating the sashimi and miso soup instead.

I went for a morning activity at a popular sushi restaurant that opens at 6:15. At 6:30, there were already 3 groups waiting outside. I was seated around 7 o'clock. The staff asked if there was anything I didn't like or if I wanted red miso soup. I had two sets of chef's choice sushi (5 pieces each) and red miso soup with clams. Everything was fresh and delicious, but the eel and cutlassfish were especially tasty. When I finished the first set, the staff asked if I wanted a second set. I declined as I was already full. Going on a weekday morning allows you to eat slowly and enjoy your meal.

I went to a market inside Osaka's central wholesale market on a busy Saturday. It was a bit of a maze inside, but I ended up waiting in line for nearly 2 hours. Waiting was hell, but once I got to eat, it felt like heaven. I didn't know beforehand, but apparently you can make a reservation to skip the wait. I wish I had known that. I opted for the chef's choice, and they asked beforehand if there were any types of sushi I couldn't eat. They also brought me a red miso soup, and checked in after each plate to see if I wanted more. I ended up getting a second helping because the squid was so delicious. The quality of the squid really stood out to me - it was top-notch.

When I visited Osaka, a friend took me to this restaurant. I had been wanting to go there for a while, so I was really happy. The ordering system was interesting, where you order by saying "1st plate, 2nd plate..." and each plate comes with 5 recommended pieces. I was full after the 3rd plate, but my friend surprised me by eating up to the 5th plate. The miso soup with clams was delicious. In the early morning, there were a lot of Chinese customers, but it was quite empty around noon on weekdays.

This time, I tried ordering a course meal for the first time! I have strong likes and dislikes, so I hesitated to order before, but all the dishes were fresh and delicious, it was amazing. At the end, I had seared medium fatty tuna and grilled blackthroat seaperch, and even though I have a childish palate and ordered everything without wasabi, I regretted not getting wasabi for the seared medium fatty tuna, so when you order, make sure to ask for it!笑

Recently, I have been hearing a lot about this sushi restaurant from acquaintances, so I decided to visit for the first time in about 4-5 years. I arrived before 1 pm on a weekday with light rain falling, and there was no wait outside. Inside, there were only about 3 groups so we were seated immediately. The standard course is to have the sushi served starting from plate number 1, but I chose to have plate number 2 first and then plate number 1. Additionally, I was able to change one piece of sushi on a plate, so I switched the conger eel for abalone. The first plate had a strong vinegar taste, but the second plate was milder. Despite the inconsistency in the vinegar, the sushi was delicious. When I left, there were about 5-6 people waiting outside. It wasn't because of the light rain, but rather because I was lucky with the timing of my visit.

It seems like there are many foreign customers as well. I ordered the chef's selection and red miso soup and waited for a while. The first plate arrived in about 10 minutes! It included squid, sea urchin, flounder, medium fatty tuna, and yellowtail. I love all of them. The sushi rice is "tsukami sushi," which means it's delicate and easily falls apart, so you brush the soy sauce on with a brush. I brushed a little and savored the squid in one bite. The size is perfect for one bite. The sushi rice melts in your mouth, leaving the deliciousness of the ingredients at the end. Pure bliss! The other sushi items were also excellent. I felt like I could eat more, so I ordered another plate with crab, ark shell, scallop, medium fatty tuna, and seared mackerel. It was also incredibly delicious. But I was full, so I decided to stop there. By the way, the red miso soup was made with clams, myoga (Japanese ginger), and green onions. Since the sushi is relatively light, the miso soup was just right to cleanse the palate and increase satisfaction. The chef's selection of two plates and red miso soup cost 3,240 yen. I left extremely satisfied, and by the time I left, more customers were arriving. The early morning on weekdays is a great time to visit. It was so delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Located in the Central Market, this restaurant is easy to find by going straight into the market and stopping just before a large building. I visited early in the morning and had to wait a bit due to the many foreign customers. Inside, there are tables and a counter. They serve sushi in sets of 5 pieces with a refill system. The fish was unbelievably tender, the softest I've ever had. The taste was also very delicious. The rice was just enough to complement the fish without overpowering it.

I visited at 8 o'clock on a regular day. There was only one person in line, but I was able to enter the store right away. I had cheap and delicious sushi. They asked about my dislikes and allergies in advance, and the customer service was excellent. I would like to go again.

It seems like they are open early in the morning, around 8:00 am, so it's like an idol time. It's not crowded and comfortable. They have a system where you can order a set of 5 pieces, and if you ask for a refill, they will make another set of 5 pieces for you. Since it's breakfast, 10 pieces would be too much, so one set is just the right amount.

I finally visited Endo-san, a place I've been curious about for a while. I arrived around 9:45 in the morning. There was only one person, an inbound customer, waiting. I was seated within 5 minutes. Each piece of sushi was very large and delicious, so I was very satisfied. The red miso soup also had a great flavor that paired well with the sushi. This restaurant is now on my list of places to visit again!

I visited Tsukami Sushi Endo at Osaka Central Market after a long time. The sushi was undeniably delicious. The chef's choice assortment includes 5 pieces of sushi. They delicately craft the sushi with the freshest seasonal ingredients. The soy sauce is brushed on with a brush, and there is also pickled ginger on the side. I also ordered a hot red miso soup with my meal, and it was delicious with the crunchy myoga. I wanted to go for a third round, but I shared with a friend and got so caught up in discussing what sushi to eat next that I forgot to take a photo. That's how good the food was, it took priority over everything else. I definitely want to go back again. It's a fantastic, historic sushi restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
