On the way, I stopped by to have a meal before continuing my travels. I was quite tired this time, so I ordered the pork cutlet curry to treat myself. It seemed like they fried it after I placed my order, as it took about 5 minutes for it to be served. The curry had an original roux, different from the Indian curry I usually eat, but still delicious. It was a bit less intense than the Indian curry. The pork cutlet was cut into small pieces, making it easy to eat even with just a spoon. It was crispy and tasty. After enjoying my meal, I headed back feeling satisfied. The pork cutlet curry was definitely delicious, but personally, I think I might prefer having the pork cutlet as a topping on the Indian curry. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, when I visited Obihiro, I went to this restaurant. It seems to be the soul food of the people of Obihiro, and even if you are from Sapporo, if you visit Obihiro, you definitely want to try it (laughs). This time, due to work reasons, I visited the Memuro branch. I don't really remember my last visit, which was over ten years ago, but this place is located within a shopping center, which may explain the somewhat exotic exterior that resembles a mosque but is called "Indian," which is a bit mismatched and amusing (laughs). Inside the restaurant, there is a U-shaped counter and a decent number of table seats. I think the basic Indian curry was 480 yen? I decided to add a hamburger topping. The curry is well-stewed, like a delicious homemade curry that tastes even better the next day, with a slightly thick consistency. It seemed like there wasn't enough curry sauce, so I carefully savored it. (laughs) Although the menu didn't have a "extra curry sauce" option, I wonder if it's possible? The hamburger was quite tasty, not like a commercial one. The condiments included bright red fukujinzuke, green shiso pickles, and "gari," which I recently discovered goes really well with curry. I enjoyed all three of them. I heard that locals come here with their own pots to buy just the curry sauce, and on this day, even during a weekday lunchtime, quite a few people came to buy curry sauce with their own containers. This local curry shop offers outstanding value for money and delicious food. Thank you for the meal~

"Indian Seafood" offers a variety of Indian curries, but the most luxurious option without toppings is the "Seafood" curry. It is filled with shrimp, scallops, clams, eggplant, and bell peppers, so take your time to savor each bite. This curry with seafood has a deep and delicious flavor. It is truly a soul food from Tokachi.

Hmm, I'm hungry. Before I knew it, I was sitting here after driving to the next town. It's been three months since I last visited this Indian restaurant. Today, I tried adding cutlets to my curry. The thick curry sauce made with beef and dozens of spices goes well with the thick cutlet. It's not outstandingly delicious, but I find myself coming back regularly to have it. Drove for about 2 and a half hours from Asahikawa to Obihiro and saw a sign for "Indian" along the road. Since I'm in Hokkaido, I thought I should try it out!! So I went into the restaurant. I ordered Indian curry with chicken and cheese on top. The curry had a rich and flavorful taste. The chicken was tender and delicious. The cheese was also tasty. It was surprisingly delicious. I was moved to see locals bringing their own pots to buy curry. If this restaurant was near my home, I would definitely be a regular customer.

Visited for dinner. I came to Memuro Town on a business trip. I found this place on Tabelog. This time, I ordered the "Katsu Curry". I thought I might have to wait because of the katsu, but it came out pretty quickly. There was so much curry sauce that I couldn't see the katsu. The katsu curry arrived fairly quickly. It's literally curry with katsu placed on top, allowing the crispy texture of the katsu to remain. The Indian curry had a nostalgic thick texture to it. Indian Curry with Pork Cutlet Topping for 704 yen. I visited Indian Curry in Memuro town for lunch on a holiday. They offer Basic Curry and Indian Curry, and I chose Indian Curry with a spicy kick, topped with pork cutlet. It was served in about 5 minutes, surprisingly fast even though it wasn't crowded. The pork cutlet was not too thick but there was a generous amount of it. The curry had a lower water content, making it moist. It paired well with the pork cutlet. Although it was spicy, it still had a hint of sweetness. Even if you prefer extremely spicy food, this level of spiciness was enjoyable. I was impressed that all of this only cost 700 yen.

I visited during lunchtime on a regular day. It had been about 2 and a half years since my last visit, but the place was still as popular as ever and bustling with customers during lunchtime. Those who came in groups seemed to have to wait, but since I was alone, I was seated at the counter right away. I ordered the usual Indian curry. There were many customers getting takeout, and I had to wait for about 5 minutes due to the crowd, but I could see that the staff were working efficiently. The taste was just as delicious as it was 2 and a half years ago. I quickly finished my meal and received the takeout curry, which was brought out promptly. Thank you for the meal. Today I visited Curry Shop Indian Memuro. I ordered the spell "Indian Yasai Seafood Katsu Cheese Karasafuutsu for 1,133 yen". The curry arrived with three toppings. The regular customers were ordering with flashy toppings, making it a bit challenging for the staff. Today, I tried the "Indian Chicken" for the first time. If you order it normally, the "Chicken Curry (649 yen)" becomes a basic dish, which may not be satisfying for those used to the Indian flavor. So, I recommend going for the slightly more expensive option of "Indian (462 yen) + Chicken (198 yen) = 660 yen." Order it as "Indian Chicken"! There was a little trouble this time, so I rated it a bit lower.

This is a must-visit restaurant when traveling to the Tokachi area. Although I didn't go all the way to the center of Obihiro this time, I visited this restaurant on the outskirts. Every time I go, it's always full of customers, and it's worth it because you can only eat it in the Obihiro area. I ordered the hamburger curry with Indian roux. The rich flavor of the roux was something I had been craving, as I usually eat soup curry. The garnish that looked like perilla seeds was incredibly delicious. I wonder if it's an original Indian creation? I wish they would sell it at the store. It was the day I was returning home, so I regretted not asking for the roux to go.
