Visit date and time: 18:40, Saturday Wait time: None Menu: Gyoza (dumplings) 1 serving for 600 yen + Beer for 600 yen I have tried to enter this restaurant twice before but it was full, so I finally managed to get in on my third attempt. The restaurant only has 7 counter seats, so it can be difficult to get a seat if the timing is not right. The owner, a mother, runs the place by herself. When you sit down and order a drink, she automatically starts cooking a serving of gyoza for you. If you want something other than gyoza, make sure to place an order. While waiting for the gyoza to cook, she serves various appetizers. When the gyoza is ready, she brings it to you. The gyoza has a thin crispy skin and is juicy inside. Throughout the meal, she keeps bringing out more dishes, which made me worried about the bill, but in the end, it was just the gyoza and beer that we were charged for. Soft drinks are 200 yen each, so the total for two people was exactly 2,000 yen. I can see why this place is popular. It may be tricky to get the timing right, but I definitely want to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

All the dishes that come out are delicious, including the dumplings which are naturally tasty and don't need any sauce. When you order dumplings, they bring out various side dishes so you don't need to order anything extra. The side dishes are so delicious that my companion even asked for the recipe. The service is also polite. It's a recommended restaurant, although it can be a problem if it gets too crowded.

Ten minutes after opening, I arrived around 5:10 pm and was told that there were many reservations but I could be seated by 5:30 pm. I ordered gyoza and beer, and to my surprise, the kind Osaka obachan (middle-aged woman) owner gave me a set of three homemade appetizers. The gyoza were bite-sized and crispy, with a strong flavor of chives that paired perfectly with the beer. I only managed to eat a serving of 10 before the next customer arrived, but I definitely want to come back and try more next time.

This was the last stop of the day on the first night of my gourmet trip in Osaka, and it was the restaurant I had been wanting to visit. I have been doing a lot of food hopping, but this is the first time I am giving a perfect score of 5 out of 5. I arrived a little before 9 pm on a weekday, and when I opened the door of the restaurant, they asked, "We only have 2 orders of gyoza left, is that okay?" I was thrilled that they still had some gyoza left! I sat at the counter and ordered a sweet potato shochu with soda. The soda was served in a bottle with a little extra left in it. The shochu was strong and nicely chilled, very delicious. While waiting for the gyoza to cook, they offered me a dish of pea sprouts with sesame dressing as a complimentary service. Then, they surprised me with a plate of vegetable sticks as another service. The lady next to me struck up a conversation, and we ended up having a great time chatting. Osaka ladies are so fun and friendly! The gyoza was slightly spicy and so tasty, freshly cooked and incredibly delicious. The dishes prepared by the owner were exceptional. I usually love my mother's cooking the most, but the kindness and deliciousness of the food here really touched my heart. They even brought out two more complimentary dishes, including one with a plum flavor. I hope this lovely restaurant, a hidden gem, will continue to thrive for a long time. I definitely want to visit again. I forgot the exact amount, but it was around ¥1,000, which was surprisingly affordable. I should have left a tip, but I forgot to do so.

I wanted to eat delicious gyoza, so I made a reservation with Momo-san, who accepts same-day reservations after 2 pm. I made a reservation for 8 pm and entered the restaurant. It is close to the station. It's a small restaurant with only a counter, and the mother was running it by herself. Since it was our third stop, we ordered beer and 10 pan-fried gyoza. The appetizer of pea sprouts and cheese sprinkled with flour was excellent. And we also got vegetable sticks as an appetizer. The one-bite gyoza that came out was amazing. It was thick with one side crispy and juicy. I couldn't help but order another serving. The 28-year-old man from Hong Kong sitting next to me came to see a live performance and was eating 50 gyoza by himself. By the way, the name of the restaurant comes from the name of the dog they used to have. Personally, out of the 100 gyoza shops in Osaka, I thought the gyoza here was the most delicious. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious! I will come again.

As expected, this restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 gyoza restaurants, and it is definitely delicious. The appetizers keep coming endlessly! The drinks are pretty standard, but the atmosphere is great. It feels like coming back home. The service is excellent, and chatting with the owner's mother is a highlight. I recommend visiting around the peak time. This is a gyoza restaurant that will make you want to come back again.

Last night's drinking session at the gyoza restaurant Momohitokuchi in Showa-cho was enjoyable. The bite-sized gyoza were easy to eat, especially when dipped in sudachi citrus juice. It was cold and rainy, so I also ordered some dumpling soup, which had fluffy dumplings that were delicious. I couldn't resist getting seconds of the gyoza, and the variety of vegetables served as a side were a nice touch. I was lucky that there was a free spot at the table, so I could enjoy some Koshu Ryozan Shaoxing wine. Osaka's food scene is truly amazing.

Last night's drinking party was at the gyoza restaurant Momo in Showa-cho. Momo's gyoza are bite-sized and delicious, especially when eaten with squeezed sudachi juice. The various vegetable dishes served as a service were also fantastic, such as bean sprout cheese salad, carrot with orange vinegar, celery, and tomato kimchi. I recommend pairing the meal with Koshu Ryozan Shaoxing wine. I ended up ordering more gyoza. Osaka gourmet scene.

【Visit Date】April 1, 2023 Dinner【Order】Draft Beer, 2 orders of Pan-Fried Dumplings (20 pieces)After witnessing Yamagaku's victory, I headed to Showa Town for dinner. I made a reservation for 5:00 PM and was greeted by Momo-san. I had imagined a dirty restaurant, but it was actually quite bright inside. A woman was managing the place by herself. Shortly after opening, customers without reservations started coming in, and the place quickly filled up. It was quite popular. They didn't have rice dishes, only dumplings and a few side dishes. I started with a beer and ordered 2 servings of pan-fried dumplings. While waiting for the dumplings, they brought out some complimentary vegetables. The beer was really good. Just as I was enjoying it, the dumplings arrived. The filling was substantial for a single bite, but after eating 2, it was just right. If they had rice, I could probably eat around 50 of these, but with just beer, it's a bit tough. After about 20 minutes, I left with a satisfied stomach. Thank you for the meal.

First visit. 'Gyoza no Mise Momo' near Showacho Station. Saturday, February 25, 2023. After enjoying yakitori and oysters in Nishinari and refreshing at Spa World, today we got permission to dine out for dinner. So we headed to Showacho Station on the Midosuji Line for the first visit to 'Gyoza no Mise Momo', known as one of the top 100 gyoza restaurants. As rumored, they offer plenty of free appetizers while you wait for your order to be ready. Arrived at 18:43. Managed to find one available seat. Entered the restaurant and placed our order. Beer arrived at 18:46. Soon after, a series of appetizers were served. Gyoza arrived at 18:55. The closing appetizer arrived at 19:05. Left at 19:14. Grilled Gyoza (for 2 people) 20 pieces - 1200 yen, Draft Ebisu Beer - 600 yen. *4 appetizers were complimentary. Total - 1800 yen. The free appetizers were delicious and plentiful, just as rumored. The gyoza had a thin skin, plenty of filling, and a slightly spicy kick that added a nice touch. They were so good that we could have easily eaten 3 servings. For those looking to enjoy gyoza and alcohol, the extra touch of 4 complimentary appetizers makes it a very pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal. #Gyoza no Mise Momo #Showacho Station

Last night's drinking session was at a gyoza restaurant in Showa-cho. Momonaga had been on a long break due to a bicycle accident, but it seems like they have fully recovered. The grilled gyoza is delicious, with 10 pieces for 600 yen. They serve various appetizers when you order gyoza. We toasted with Shaoxing wine and red wine. Osaka gourmet.

As always, I appreciate the complimentary beer snacks. I got full with gyoza and beer. I heard you were closed for about 2 months, but I'm glad you're back. It was nice to eat here after a long time. I'll come back again!

Talking about dumplings makes you crave them, right? There's a famous restaurant nearby, so I decided to go check it out. Surprisingly, there was no line outside, but the exterior looked like it had a lot of regular customers. I nervously entered the restaurant and found only one regular-looking person sitting in the back. The kind lady offered me a fresh beer, which was delicious. She also brought out a plate of dumplings without me even ordering them. The dumplings were bite-sized and had a crispy skin with a flavorful filling. I couldn't resist and enjoyed them with the automatic side dishes that kept coming, like vegetable sticks and smoked cheese. I decided to order some additional dishes, including the delicious dried fish tempura. The freshly grated ginger added a nice touch to the tempura. The table was filled with complimentary items, and I ended up having multiple refills of beer, all for free. The service was excellent, and the total bill came to 3300 yen, which was a great deal considering all the food and drinks I enjoyed.

Midway through the 3-day weekend, I called around 4:30 pm to confirm the restaurant's business hours. The person who answered kindly said, "Shall I save you a seat?" The restaurant was a small gyoza (dumplings) place run by a single lady. I ordered the grilled squid with mayonnaise, kuko seeds, lettuce, salt, pepper, and mayonnaise - a simple and delicious dish! Even though I didn't order them, they also brought me some tomato and cheese as a side dish for the alcohol I was drinking. We had a nice chat about the origin of the restaurant's name and other topics. It was worth going there alone. I look forward to trying their gyoza next time. Their concept is "eat and lose weight," and they enjoy food blogs. Their current weight is 41.4kg with a goal of 40.0kg. Check out their Instagram at @kanae.0402. Thank you!

First visit. There are 7 seats at the counter. The elegant mama, who seems to be a lady from Ashiya Rokurokusou, is running the shop alone. The amber Ebisu draft beer is delicious. I had a refill. The gyoza is spicy and may be best enjoyed as is. The daikon, bitter melon, carrot, and other snacks to go with alcohol are all excellent. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant around 6:00 PM. It's a small place with just a counter. The friendly and cheerful mama-san runs the place by herself. They have Ebisu Amber draft beer for 600 yen per glass. An order of 10 gyoza costs 600 yen. Other side dishes depend on the mama-san's mood. Today, I received 3 complimentary dishes, including delicious cheese and pea sprout salad. The beer was tasty, so I ordered another glass. Mama-san and the customer next to me talked about high blood pressure and how to lower it, which was quite lively. I recommend the tasty gyoza and other dishes prepared by the friendly mama-san. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

From here on, for the evening session... This restaurant has been hit hard by the coronavirus, but I thought they must be open by now... I felt anxious on the train and tried calling, but no answer? Maybe they're closed for the holiday... Should I turn back? Or have dinner around Kyobashi? Luckily, when I called just before opening time, they said they were open today... I made a reservation for 5:00 and arrived around 5:00... There was only one other customer and I was seated at the counter in the middle... I ordered some dumplings and hesitated to order tea, so they offered me water instead... A complimentary appetizer arrived, but I didn't feel like eating it. After about 10 minutes, the dumplings were ready... I made some sauce and ate them... Delicious! The crispy outside and chewy inside, with a flavorful filling... No wonder this place is considered one of the top 100 in Osaka. As I was enjoying the dumplings, they offered me another complimentary dish... It was okay, but I was already quite full from earlier in the day (otherwise, I could have easily eaten 7 servings they were so tasty!)... I paid 1,800 yen in cash and headed back to the station. I have now visited all the top 100 gyoza restaurants in Osaka, and this one gets the highest score of 4.1 points.

As soon as you exit from Exit 2 of Showacho Station on the Midosuji Line, you will find a popular dumpling restaurant with only 7 counter seats. The friendly female owner manages the small shop by herself. I ordered the following: ■ Grilled dumplings (10 pieces) for 600 yen ■ Lemon sour for 500 yen. When you order grilled dumplings here, various dishes come out before the dumplings are grilled. First, there is cheese-dressed pea sprouts, which is light and delicious. Then, there are vegetable sticks to dip in salt. Additionally, there are tomatoes and cheese. The tomatoes are marinated in gochujang and the cheese is marinated in soy sauce. The grilled dumplings I ordered arrived next. They have a unique flat shape with a thin, crispy skin. The filling consists of pork, cabbage, leeks, and wood ear mushrooms, which gives it a spicy kick. It is delicious even without any condiments, but the owner recommends eating it with vinegar and citrus. There is also dumpling sauce on the table. After enjoying all this, I had a lemon sour and the total bill came to 1100 yen. It's quite affordable. Next to this restaurant is a popular ramen shop called "Menya Ayame," which has also been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. It's worth a visit as well.

Before 6 o'clock on a regular evening, there was only one customer at the restaurant so I was able to enter easily. I was planning to have a light meal so I ordered just one serving of gyoza. I ordered one serving of gyoza and a draft beer for a total of 1,200 yen. While waiting for the gyoza to be cooked, they served a couple of appetizers as a complimentary side dish, so I didn't feel bored. The gyoza had a crispy surface and a chewy texture inside, with a strong flavor of chives in the filling, making it delicious and satisfying. They also served a couple of complimentary side dishes like vegetable sticks while I was eating the gyoza. I thought about ordering more, but I was starting to feel quite full so I decided against it this time. It's a restaurant that I definitely want to visit again.

Gourmet Lawyer's Food Diary. Visited a restaurant featured in the top 100 gyoza shops on Tabelog. Arrived around 6pm on a Tuesday with no other customers. Lucky! It's a small counter-only shop. Ordered the grilled gyoza and oolong tea. Received a surprise appetizer of vegetable sticks and bean sprouts with cheese. Then came the gyoza - thin-skinned, small-sized, 10 pieces per serving. Easy to eat and delicious. While enjoying the gyoza, the mother offered celery and tomato kimchi salad. So much service, it was amazing. Had to leave early but wished I could have stayed longer to eat and drink more. Thank you for the meal!
