I usually never eat miso ramen, but because it's so famous, I decided to try it for the first time. The place I went to was called Miso-kko Fukkusan. The shop opens at 6:00 pm, so I arrived at 5:45 pm and there were already 7 people waiting in line, with me being the 8th. Luckily, I was able to get in on the first round. The shop opened right at 6:00 pm, and each person purchased their meal ticket before being seated. I ordered the Ajitama Miso Ramen for 1,000 yen (tax included) as the 8th person in line. After waiting for about 15 minutes, my ramen arrived. The ramen was a bit slow to be served since I was the 8th person, but that couldn't be helped. Now, onto the important part - the ramen itself. When I took a sip of the soup, I was surprised! It was incredibly delicious. It had a thick and rich texture, yet the aftertaste was refreshing. The noodles were medium-thick noodles made by Mikawa-ya Noodle Factory, with a slightly wavy yellow round noodle type. The chewy yet elastic noodles paired really well with the rich miso soup. The crunchy stir-fried bean sprouts, white leeks, firm chashu, seasoned egg - each ingredient was carefully considered to complement the miso ramen perfectly. This was the best miso ramen I've ever had! It was so delicious. Thank you for the meal, and I'll definitely be back again!

As a miso ramen lover, I was curious about this restaurant. I went right at the opening on Monday at 11 am, expecting to wait a little, but ended up waiting for an hour. Luckily, the weather was good so I didn't get heatstroke. The miso ramen with flavored egg was 1,100 yen. I had done some research beforehand, and the noodles were slightly thick. The portion of noodles seemed quite large, so I couldn't finish it. The bamboo shoots had a strangely delicious flavor, standing out like a main character. Some people said the char siu was delicious, but it was just okay for me. The soup, despite being miso, was not too rich or heavy, but rather mild with a subtle elegance and addictive quality. I think people love this ramen more for the soup than the noodles. It was a refined soup with a sophisticated City Boy feel, not the usual overpowering miso flavor of Sapporo ramen. Waiting for an hour was tough, but there are many popular B-grade curry shops in the Ogikubo area. Are the people in Ogikubo just bored? I must be even more bored to come all the way to Ogikubo and wait in line.

There are more and more ramen shops in the top 100 ramen rankings that serve miso ramen. It seems like the strong ones are the "Sumire" series. I really love it. Next is "Hanada" - they have a truly authentic stir-fry method. And this unknown shop in Ogikubo. The curtain says "Hanamichi." I don't know...sorry. On a Monday night, there were 9 people waiting (T0T) but we were able to get in after about 30 minutes. I ordered the miso ramen for 950 yen (tax included) because I had just eaten curry. The cooking scene behind the counter was hard to see, but I watched as much as I could. The miso was lightly stir-fried in a wok, then the base soup was added, probably with some starch, and the soup was ready. Then they stir-fried bean sprouts and onions and topped them off. This miso ramen doesn't cook the vegetables until they're mushy in the miso soup. The ramen that arrived was not heavy, and the presentation was beautiful. There was no layer of fat on the surface. First, I tried the soup (^・ㅁ・^ oh...). The taste and smell of miso stood out, and it was a rich, thick soup. The noodles were from Mikawa-ya, medium-thick straight egg noodles. They were chewy and went well with the miso. Sumire and Hanada have a wild feel, but if we were to describe this miso ramen as "still." I personally prefer the "wild" style. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived on a regular Monday at 6:00 PM. There were already about 15 people lined up, and I waited for about 40 minutes. I ordered miso ramen. The balance of sweet white miso and the umami of animal ingredients was excellent, and I felt a new taste that I had never experienced before. The stir-fried bean sprouts were just right, and the accent of the stir-fry was very good. I have eaten various famous miso ramen before, but this one was overwhelmingly the most delicious.

I was intrigued by the incredibly long line at the Miso Ramen restaurant. On the last day of the long weekend, I waited for about an hour and ordered the miso ramen with flavored egg and extra bean sprouts. The flavored egg had a red yolk, which looked very beautiful. The noodles were thick and had a satisfying chewiness, even with a regular serving. I especially enjoyed the delicious roasted pork, and I would love to visit again!

Visit date: Friday, September 22nd Arrived around 2:00 PM on Friday. There were about 10 people waiting outside. After waiting for a while, the staff asked us to purchase meal tickets first. I chose the spicy miso ramen with flavored egg and corn toppings. After about 25 minutes, we were seated inside. The inside of the restaurant was quite cool due to the effective air conditioning, so even when eating the hot miso ramen, you wouldn't sweat too much. It was a nice touch. The ramen was served in about 5 minutes. Noodles: Thick noodles with egg mixed in. Personally, I'm not a big fan of thick noodles, but for this rich miso ramen, it worked well. The thickness was just right to complement the soup without being overwhelmed by it. It coated well with the soup and was enjoyable to eat. If I had to nitpick, I would say slightly thinner noodles would be better, but this thickness worked well with the soup. Soup: The soup was amazing!! It was a thick miso soup with a perfect amount of thickness. Any thicker, and it would have been too heavy like Tenkaippin's rich ramen, any thinner, and it would have been lacking. It hit the perfect balance. Also, since it was spicy miso, drinking the non-red parts gave a normal miso soup flavor, while the red parts with chili oil added a kick. It was like enjoying two different soups in one bowl. I didn't finish it all since I had dinner later, but it was delicious enough to drink it all if I didn't have to think about later. Toppings: The bean sprouts were quickly stir-fried, crispy and fragrant. There were 2 slices of chashu, each about 1 cm thick, providing a good chew. Also, they weren't too fatty, which was nice. Maybe they used lean meat to balance the rich miso soup. The seasoned egg was perfectly done, slightly sweet and perfectly half-cooked inside. The bamboo shoots added a nice touch. The corn brought a sweet flavor to the salty miso soup, which I thought was a good addition. Lastly, eating the ground meat, corn, and soup together brought out a unique deliciousness that is characteristic of miso ramen. Overall: It was a delicious miso ramen that lived up to its reputation as one of the best in Tokyo. It was so tasty that I couldn't stop eating. I believe it's worth waiting in line to eat at this restaurant.

Miso-kko Fukku @ Ogikubo Spicy Miso Ramen Chashu Rice After a long time, I had a weekday off... so I decided to go to Fukku for lunch. I arrived around 10:30... and surprisingly I got a priority pass. After that, the line started to grow, and by the time they opened at 11, there were over 10 people waiting. In conclusion, it was incredibly delicious! The soup, based on white miso, was both mellow and rich, allowing you to keep drinking it endlessly. Gradually, a spicy element, similar to chili oil, mixed in, making the soup even more irresistible. I remember that about three years ago when it started to become popular, it was just spicy, but now it's definitely delicious. The medium-thick noodles made by Mikawa-ya Seimen had a chewy texture. The freshly stir-fried bean sprouts added a nice aroma to the dish. The chashu rice, topped with chashu slices, was made with the same ingredients as the toppings but in larger, chunkier pieces, making it a luxurious treat. It was gone in no time! Thank you for the meal! #ramenlovers #ramennoodles #ramenaddict #ramenlover #ramenstagram #noodlelife #noodlegram #ramen #ramenlover #ramennoodles

Visited a ramen restaurant for the first time on a holiday at 12:30 pm. There were 20 people waiting in line. More people started lining up soon after. I entered the restaurant 55 minutes later. I was seated and served tea right away. The rice bowl arrived at 1:30 pm. The turnover was faster than I expected, which was great.

Delicious. But it wasn't worth waiting for an hour. It was a Sunday before 6 pm. There was a line of about 20 to 30 people at all times. The Chashu Miso Ramen with flavored egg topping priced at 1350 yen had a thick and rich soup similar to the dipping sauce of tsukemen. It was more delicious than the ramen from the Sumire series, probably because a large amount of onions are used in the soup. The extract gives it a sweet and flavorful taste. There was no ginger in it. If you want to eat miso ramen here, I think the Hanamichi series is better than the Sumire series. The chashu was not roasted pork but rather steamed pork, with a chewy texture that was almost too tough to bite through. It tasted slightly smoky. The flavored egg was exquisite, a big hit after a long time. I should have gotten two. I think rice would go well with this ramen. I also made a mistake with that. The noodles were thick like those in a home-style ramen, with a slight sweetness like in egg noodles. The water cups were THERMOS, so the water stayed cold. But the real reason was that there was no condensation, making cleaning easier. It seemed like a good investment for both reasons. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious, but due to the location and the wait time, I didn't feel inclined to come back actively. I would love to have the flavored egg again.

Ramen Dangan Tokyo 4: Seeking delicious miso ramen, I revisited this place. Last time I had tantanmen, so this time I tried the spicy miso ramen. The thick and chewy noodles were smooth and had a great texture, with a nice wheat flavor. The rich soup had a strong umami flavor from animal ingredients and a mellow richness from white miso. It was rich and creamy but not heavy at all, with the sweetness of white miso adding a nice touch. The chili oil gradually mixed with the soup, adding a spicy accent that made it even more delicious. When I took a bite of the chashu, the smoky aroma spread gently, and I could taste the umami flavor very well. It seems that the chashu has changed from before, but it was even better. The slightly crunchy menma had a solid seasoning that was very delicious. Miso ramen is still my favorite ❤️‍ It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal. I visited a miso ramen specialty shop about a 7-minute walk from Ogikubo Station, which was selected as one of the top 100 ramen shops in Tokyo in 2022 and 2021. Arrived at around 1:30 pm on the weekend and there was a line of about 20 people. It took a little over an hour to be seated. First, I lined up along the guardrail and when prompted by the staff, I purchased a meal ticket and returned to the line. They asked if I wanted extra bean sprouts, and I said yes. The interior of the shop only had counter seats, and the ramen was served in no time. What I had: - Miso Ramen: The white miso-based soup was creamy, rich, and had a sweet miso flavor that was rich and delicious. The deep umami flavor paired perfectly with the miso. The medium-thick noodles were chewy and delicious as they mixed with the soup. I liked it. Topped with a generous amount of bean sprouts, white leeks, bamboo shoots, and chashu. The stir-fried bean sprouts were tasty. Thank you for the meal.

My son wanted to eat delicious ramen, so I took him to this restaurant. I remembered the taste of the "Spicy Miso Ramen" from my previous visit, so this time I decided to try the "Dan Dan Noodles". We arrived at the restaurant on Saturday at 4:14 pm (46 minutes before opening) with just the two of us. At that time, there were 2 people in line. We lined up behind them. The line continued to grow, with 5-6 people (2 customers) at 4:18 pm, 7-8 people (2 customers) at 4:34 pm, and the 9th person at 4:35 pm. The restaurant has 8 seats, so if you wanted to eat during the first round after opening, you had to arrive by 26 minutes before opening on that day. The restaurant opened at 4:58 pm. At that time, there were more than 20 people in line. First, we purchased our meal tickets. My son ordered the "Cha-shu Miso Ramen" and "Rice" while I ordered the "Ajitama Dan Dan Noodles", "Sapporo Red Star (medium bottle)", and "Extra Noodles". The total amount was 3240 yen. It felt luxurious to line up at a restaurant known for delicious miso ramen and order something other than miso ramen. I usually don't need extra noodles at flower path type restaurants, but since I was trying a different type of dish like Dan Dan Noodles this time, I opted for extra noodles. When ordering, I specified "extra bean sprouts" and "sansho pepper" for the Dan Dan Noodles. My son's "Cha-shu Miso Ramen" was left as it was (after confirming with my son). We were served bottled beer first. It was a 500ml bottle of Sapporo Red Star. It came with a chilled glass. The design on the glass matched the Red Star beer. It was nice. (Looking back at the previous photo, I noticed that when I ordered the "Super Dry medium bottle", I was served a "Super Dry" glass. They make sure to match the beer brand with the glass design.) The bottled beer came with a complimentary appetizer, which was diced cha-shu with chili oil, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Ten minutes after handing in our meal tickets, my son's "Cha-shu Miso Ramen" arrived first. Oh? There are two types of cha-shu? There were two different looking meats. Three minutes later, the "Dan Dan Noodles" arrived. It looked amazing. And because of the extra noodles, the bowl was slightly larger. The soup was the usual miso base. On top of that miso soup, there were Dan Dan Noodle spices and ingredients. It looked delicious. First, I tried the miso soup part on its own. It had a gentle flavor. It was delicious! Next, I mixed the Dan Dan Noodles part with the miso soup and tried it. Delicious! The noodles were the usual medium-thick noodles from the flower path restaurant. They had a satisfying texture. The flavored egg had a deep reddish yolk. It was delicious. This Dan Dan Noodles, with the miso soup base from this restaurant, was great. On top of that miso soup, there were plenty of Dan Dan Noodle sauce, spices, minced meat, and other ingredients. It stood out from the typical Dan Dan Noodles you see around, and I could feel its uniqueness. It was worth ordering. Considering how both the Spicy Miso Ramen and Dan Dan Noodles were fantastic, I am raising my rating to 3.7 stars this time. Thank you for the meal!

Arrived on Saturday at 11:35 AM, with about 25 people in line. First, lined up in the queue, and purchased meal tickets in order when called by the staff. Entered the restaurant around 12:45 PM. Ordered spicy miso chashu ramen with flavored egg, extra green onions, extra bean sprouts, and chashu rice. Extra green onions came on a separate plate, and the extra bean sprouts were complimentary. The soup, noodles, and chashu were all delicious.

I visited the restaurant around 13:30 on a Saturday, and there was a line of about 25 people. It took about an hour to get in as the shop was quite small with only around 10 counter seats. We had already purchased our food tickets before entering, so we only had to wait about 10 minutes for our order. I had the spicy miso ramen with flavored egg, and my husband had the large portion miso ramen. We also ordered extra bean sprouts, which were fried in lard for free. The miso soup had a rich ginger flavor and thick noodles that paired well with the minced meat hidden under the bean sprouts. However, I found the thickness of the miso soup a bit overwhelming and wished for a deeper flavor. The flavored egg and chashu were delicious, but personally, I may prefer the ramen from Sumire in Hokkaido.

It had been a while since I had miso ramen, so I decided to visit this place just before 2 pm on a weekday. I bought a ticket first and then lined up, and even at this time, there were 7 people ahead of me. Usually during lunchtime, there are around 15 to 20 people waiting in line when I pass by. The turnover is good, and surprisingly, I was able to enter the restaurant fairly quickly (about 15 minutes) and ordered a regular miso ramen (with free extra bean sprouts, ¥950). The noodles, soup, and chashu were well-balanced and really delicious. When it comes to miso ramen, this is the place to go. I definitely want to visit again. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but there is a coin parking nearby (around ¥200 for an average of 30 minutes).

I arrived at the restaurant around 7 PM, where there were 8 people waiting in line. The staff guided us to our seats and I bought my meal ticket while waiting in line. I ordered the miso ramen for 950 yen and added corn for an extra 100 yen. I was told that I could adjust the amount of bean sprouts, so I asked for a small amount. After about 20 minutes, we were seated inside and my ramen was served promptly. The rich and thick soup had a great consistency and the medium-thick straight noodles were delicious. It was so tasty! I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Coming from Hanadoan, I rushed to the restaurant right after work. There were only 3 people in line. I got the moyashi (bean sprouts) extra for free. The soup was rich and spicy without being too thick. I added a lot of ichimi (Japanese chili pepper) from the table and finished with a deliciously spicy kick.

Before work in Tokyo, I visited the popular miso ramen restaurant Fukku, a 6-minute walk from JR Ogikubo Station. Upon arrival at 10:05 am on a weekday, there were already 4 people in line, and by the time the restaurant opened, there were 25 people waiting! The spicy miso chashu ramen with extra bean sprouts was delicious. The sweet and creamy soup, mixed with spicy miso, was full of flavor. The medium-thick straight noodles were perfect for holding up the soup and had a nice chewy texture. The 6 pieces of smoked chashu and stir-fried bean sprouts were great toppings. Overall, the miso ramen was satisfying and the service by the owner was cool and efficient. My only concern is the long line, especially as the weather gets colder and miso ramen becomes more popular. But overall, it was a very satisfying meal.

I arrived at Fukkun, a miso ramen shop, about an hour before opening and there were already four people lined up. The anticipation grew as I sat on the iron fence, my legs going numb. By the time they opened, there were about 30 people in line. I ordered the spicy miso ramen. It had a good level of spiciness, just to my liking. The green onion topping was also a good choice. The noodles were thick noodles from Mikawa-ya, which was a pleasant surprise. This was a perfect match. I'm curious about their tantanmen, so I will definitely go back. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Today, I visited "Miso-kko Fukku," a popular restaurant in Ogikubo, known for its popularity in Tokyo. To avoid the long lines, you need to arrive before the opening at 11 am. When I arrived at 10:42 am, there were already 13 people waiting. Due to limited coin parking in the area, I had to park at a parking lot over 5 minutes away from the restaurant. For those driving, please be cautious. Just before opening, the smell of lard frying something and garlic filled the air. I couldn't resist the hunger anymore. As soon as the restaurant opened, the staff directed each group to buy meal tickets from the machine inside. I ordered the Miso Ramen with flavored egg for 1,100 yen. When I handed the ticket to the staff outside, they asked if I wanted extra bean sprouts for free. Of course, I said yes. Finally, it was time to enter the restaurant and enjoy the meal. In terms of taste, it wasn't exactly to my liking, but it was still delicious. However, it didn't quite live up to the reputation of being one of the best miso ramen spots in Tokyo. Maybe I just prefer a lighter broth. For more details, please refer to other reviews. But I must say, it was still delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant around 11 am on a weekday and was able to enter before noon as there were about 10 people in line. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen with Char Siu for ¥1230. The restaurant had a pleasant aroma of stir-fried bean sprouts. When I tried the non-spicy part of the soup, the rich miso flavor slowly spread in my mouth. It was definitely the most delicious miso soup I've ever had. The noodles were medium-thick and incredibly chewy. They were even chewier than I had imagined. They paired well with the soup and were delicious. The char siu was large and thick, with about 6 slices on top, making it a luxurious treat. It had a smoky flavor and was very tasty. As I continued eating, the spiciness of the soup gradually increased, adding a nice accent. This was the first time I had such delicious miso ramen at a restaurant. I was impressed! Thank you for the meal!!!!
