I chose the tantan noodles without soup. The tantan noodles had a rich and thick sauce, and I couldn't finish it all in the end. Since I had just come back from a health check-up, I decided not to eat all the toppings. Many customers around me seemed to be ordering fried rice. I should have chosen the stir-fried pork and green pepper set meal.

It's been a while since I visited the area near Satsu Station. I knew about this restaurant, but it was my first time going in! They let us use a table for four since it was still empty. They have various set meals and lunch menu services, but I decided to go with the soupless tantanmen with rice. It's not too spicy, so it was easy for me to eat. I finished all the rice.

It's already mid-August and still over 30 degrees. I happened to pass by here and decided to go in. It's been a few years since I last visited. I was seated at a table before it got too crowded. The cold sesame tantan noodles on the menu caught my eye, so I ordered it. It arrived in about 10 minutes. It's a cold dish with cucumber and daikon radish sprouts on top. I mixed it well before eating. The noodles were medium thickness and chewy. The minced meat with plenty of black sesame was well mixed in. The spiciness was not too strong, suitable for everyone. I added some chili oil for extra heat. Personally, I would prefer it to be spicier. I would like to try the tantan noodles with soup next time I visit.

It is a chain store in Tokyo that always seems to be crowded. I may have been a bit greedy ordering soup-less tantanmen with half fried rice and 3 pieces of zangi, but the fried rice was especially delicious, so I finished it all. My friend was very satisfied with the first cold noodles of the year. There is nothing particularly noteworthy, but both the service and the taste were excellent. It's a convenient place to drop by for lunch. It was delicious. I will visit again.

In the midst of the Yosakoi Festival in full swing in the center of Sapporo, I attended a tasting event that lasted through the morning and afternoon, ending around 1:25 pm. After the event, I decided to make a slight detour and visit this restaurant. There was a short wait in line, but I was quickly seated. I ordered the "Spicy Mapo Eggplant Set Meal" for ¥968 including tax. The dish arrived in about 7-8 minutes, steaming hot. The spiciness of the mapo eggplant was just right, perfect with rice. The dish had a rich flavor that you wouldn't find in typical city Chinese restaurants. The portion of the eggplant sauce was generous, and the rice was delicious on its own. I regretted not ordering a larger portion of rice from the start, as I ended up needing a refill. Despite overeating, the meal was enjoyable, but the walk back to the bus stop was a struggle due to the fullness. I reflected on my overindulgence on the way back.

★Pork and Green Onion Salt Yakisoba 880 yen I stopped by at the station's APIA after work for dinner. The pork dishes here are always top-notch and very filling! The Chinese restaurant nearby is always crowded, but I managed to get a seat today. They have a wide variety of menu items, but I decided to go for the "Pork and Green Onion Salt Yakisoba" and also... a beer ( ゚Д゚)ノ a medium-sized glass of DRY beer for 580 yen. Unfortunately, it wasn't as cold as I would have liked. The food was served super quickly despite the restaurant being busy. The operation at this popular restaurant is impressive. The dish didn't look very appealing, lacking in presentation, but the chopped green onions added a pop of color. The salt seasoning was just right, giving the dish a Fukuoka-style ramen flavor. It was loaded with plenty of pork and onions, and the soup had a gentle and light taste, refreshing for the palate. It made for a great accompaniment to the beer. Overall, it was a simple dish but very delicious. Thank you for the meal! (^ω^)

Located in Chuo Ward, Sapporo City, Hokkaido, I visited Sapporo Station after seeing a post from @sapporo.christa.jp and discovered a new restaurant that caught my interest. As soon as I saw the post, I immediately felt hungry and decided to enter the restaurant. I ordered the Braised Pork Belly Set Meal for 1,100 yen. The dish arrived with a huge piece of braised pork belly, which was incredibly tender and had a good texture. The flavor was just right, not too overpowering. I enjoyed adding plenty of vinegar from the condiment on the table for a different taste, which I loved. It was satisfying to eat the dish together with the egg. The portion of rice was small, but I mentioned that I preferred less rice, yet the amount was still quite substantial. Overall, it was a fulfilling lunch experience. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I arrived around 1:30 on Saturday and there was a short wait. I was the third in line but didn't have to wait long to get in. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles set and the pork and vegetable fried rice set, both priced at 1463 yen including tax. For the Dan Dan noodles set, I chose the black option, which is described as having a strong spicy flavor. The set included noodles, 2 pieces of fried chicken, mini fried rice, and almond jelly. The Dan Dan noodles had a lot of sesame seeds and minced meat, with a dark black color. The spiciness was not too strong, and the flavor was nutty, but I wasn't a fan of the thick noodles. The fried chicken was tasty with a hint of garlic. The fried rice in the pork and vegetable set was the main dish, with mini ramen, fried chicken, and almond jelly on the side. The mini ramen also had thick noodles. The fried rice had plenty of pork and the flavor was on the rich side. The prices were reasonable for this place, so I think it's worth it. Next time, I'll try the yakisoba with thick sauce.

On the way to Esukon, I changed trains from the subway to JR at Sapporo Station. Although I could have eaten at Esukon, I hadn't eaten anything since morning, so I decided to have lunch around Sapporo Station. I walked around looking for a restaurant and realized there were so many different options. Eventually, I found this restaurant that caught my eye, so we decided to go there for lunch. Even though it was slightly past lunchtime, the restaurant was surprisingly crowded. My partner ordered the "Pork Belly and Vegetable Fried Rice" and I ordered the "Mapo Tofu Set Meal". The Pork Belly and Vegetable Fried Rice had only a small amount of pork belly visible on the surface, but when I tried it, I found that there were quite large pieces of chashu inside. It would have been better if they had shown them more prominently! It's a modest dish! The Mapo Tofu was surprisingly delicious, with a flavor that suited my taste. Lately, many restaurants tend to emphasize the numbing spiciness of Sichuan pepper in their Mapo Tofu, but this one was properly spicy! It was so spicy that I involuntarily coughed, and the flavor was rich! I ended up devouring it in one go! It was so delicious! Thank you for the meal!

It was lunchtime so there were about 5 people waiting, but we didn't have to wait long to get in! I ordered the stir-fried pork and eggplant with spicy sauce set meal, which came with rice and soup for 1078 yen. The overall flavor was on the strong side, and the soup was a bit salty for my taste. The stir-fried pork and eggplant was hot and tasty, making the rice very enjoyable to eat.

The customer service is friendly but a bit too casual. However, it's concerning that they didn't repeat the order back to us. The lunch came with a free side of fried chicken and soup, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the fried chicken was a bit disappointing. It seemed like they added frozen French fries to bulk up the dish, and it tasted more like fried chicken with sauce rather than the traditional dish. The sauce lacked vegetables as well. The taste was not bad, but considering the value for money, it was a bit disappointing.

I visited "Manbukuro Sapporo" on February 15th. It was my first visit this year. I had been there about 10 years ago, so it had been a while. I went for dinner at 5:40 pm with another person. The restaurant was not too crowded, with only 2 customers on the floor and 2 staff in the kitchen. We were seated at a table. We ordered the following items: - Pork and vegetable fried rice set for 1463 yen - Pork belly five-mix fried rice for 1408 yen - Spicy cucumber for 440 yen First, the spicy cucumber was served. Lately, I've been ordering a lot of cucumber dishes. It's interesting how each restaurant has its own unique way of cutting and seasoning cucumbers. If I like it, I try to recreate it at home for snacks. The seasoning seems to be centered around gochujang. After a short wait, the pork and vegetable fried rice set was served. I don't usually have fried rice, but the greens in this dish were mostly komatsuna, I think. They didn't use much of the leaf part, and I quite liked the texture of the stems. The pork belly in the menu photo seemed to be a topping for the fried rice, but it was actually mixed in. I think this way, the flavor of the pork belly blends in better. The dish is quite substantial, although it may not seem so due to the large plate. I also ordered ramen (salt flavor) as a set, with toppings of half-seasoned hard-boiled egg, char siu, nori, menma, and green onions. The noodles were thin and flat, a type I had never tried before at a restaurant. While I didn't notice it while eating the ramen, the soup alone was quite salty. The accompanying fried chicken was a bit tough. I think the meat needs to be tender even if the outside is crispy. For dessert, we had almond jelly. It wasn't well-received by my family due to its medicinal taste, but I personally didn't mind it. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Located in an underground food street, this restaurant is always quite crowded. The interior has a glass-walled kitchen where you can see the cooking process. I ordered the pork belly and mixed vegetable fried rice. It arrived on a sizzling hot iron plate with crispy fried rice and pork belly stir-fry on top. As I ate, the fried rice softened to a nice texture and mixed well with the sauce. Towards the end, I found the seasoning a bit strong, but I finished the dish.

Adjusting dinner time while waiting. I didn't have much time to relax, so I chose something quick. I was curious about the limited-time oyster stew, but I was worried about burning myself while eating it, so I went with the soup-less tantanmen. Here it is, let's dig in. It has a strange smell, not just chives. Mix it well. The noodles have a nice texture. It's sweeter than I expected with a hint of sesame flavor. Then the Sichuan pepper kicks in. I add some chili oil. Hmm, let's add a bit more. A splash of vinegar. Oh, it's tasting better now. Pour some chili oil and vinegar over the bowl, mix it up, and slurp. It's different from what I expected, but it's okay.

Overtime... I'm completely burnt out! I came to Manbutsu for the first time in 10 years! Feeling hungry and thirsty, I ordered the Mapo Tofu set and a bottle of beer. For the Mapo Tofu set, I chose the Mapo Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles). It arrived in about 10 minutes, and it was a generous portion. I'll dig in! The Mapo Yakisoba is a bit complex, but tasty! The spiciness of the sansho pepper, shichimi togarashi, and the numbing sensation of the sansho pepper linger on the teeth and gums, creating a unique eating experience. The zangi (fried chicken) is delicious too! The rice portion is large and doesn't seem to decrease much. I poured the leftover Mapo Tofu on top of it. Somehow, I managed to finish it all. I was so tired that even one bottle of beer was tough. I should have just stuck with one glass... I'm feeling sleepy, so I'll head home now. Goodbye.

Hot and sour soup noodles with addictive pan-fried dumplings (6 pieces) plus complimentary rice for 1518 yen (1100 yen + 418 yen). Parked the car at Yodobashi and strolled around Sapporo. Feeling hungry, so decided to stop by this restaurant. Couldn't get the taste of the sample hot and sour soup noodles out of my head, so I ordered it along with some dumplings. The complimentary rice was a nice touch. Almost made the mistake of ordering a beer since I was walking around. The food was spicy, sour, and really increased my appetite. Perfect for a hot day. It's more like Chinese food than ramen, isn't it?

I usually eat ankake yakisoba, but this time I tried the ankake okoge set. It has become my favorite menu. The okoge is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with a salt-based seasoning. The spring rolls have shrimp in them and are thin and easy to eat. I usually like to put a lot of vinegar on my ankake yakisoba, but I haven't tried it with ankake okoge yet. I will challenge myself to try it soon.

On my day off on September 7, 2022, I went to Yodobashi Camera Sapporo to replace our worn-out microwave. I couldn't find anything that caught my eye, so I left the store and had a late lunch. The drinking establishments at Paseo, which closed at the end of September 2022, were still crowded. I went to Apia and then to Wantuuchi at Mantongi. It was around 2 pm, and the place was about 60-70% full, with about half of the customers being office workers enjoying a late lunch. I ordered the pork and vegetable fried rice set for ¥1463, which came with half a ramen, fried chicken, and almond jelly. Despite being a half portion, the ramen came with boiled egg, chashu pork, bamboo shoots, green onions, and nori. The soup itself lacked a bit of richness. The small pieces of fried chicken were typical. The vegetable fried rice had plenty of pork belly pieces, crunchy vegetables, and fluffy rice, with the egg and green onions mixed in nicely. It had a different deliciousness compared to kimchi fried rice. The location is convenient, so there were various people coming and going. It was a satisfying meal.

A bowl of Cantonese noodles with plenty of vegetables, squid, and shrimp, but the highlight is the assertive flavor of the wood ear mushrooms! It's very filling and satisfying. The soup has a thick texture on top but is clear at the bottom. The taste is rich and delicious, with a hint of pepper.
