The description was for a cold noodle dish with dried fish and kelp, priced at 1400 yen. The soup had a strong kelp flavor and lacked the taste of dried fish. Chilling the dish dulled the broth's umami, which was not well balanced. The soup was salty and a bit harsh to drink on its own. The noodles were great, with a smooth texture and a hint of whole wheat flavor. I wished they had offered a soup-wari option for the rice dish at the end, as the saltiness was quite pronounced. The restaurant was clean and stylish, and the staff's service was efficient and polite.

I had been curious about this place for a while, but couldn't go due to temporary closure. This time, I confirmed that X is open today and visited for the first time around 7:00 PM on a weekday. There were about 16-17 people waiting in line. I waited for about 35 minutes before being seated. You purchase your meal ticket after being guided by the staff. I ordered the special soy sauce dipping noodles (¥1600). It was served to me after about 5 minutes of being seated. I usually prefer thick and rich dipping noodles, so the light broth was a first for me. Initially, I felt the saltiness strongly and thought that I still prefer the thick type, but as I continued eating, I was impressed by the deliciousness of the noodles, green onions, and chashu toppings, and before I knew it, I had finished all the soup. Even though it's not my usual preference, I enjoyed it, so I would recommend it to those who like this type of dipping noodles. Thank you for the meal.

A ramen shop located under the elevated tracks near Akihabara Station. I visited around 2pm and there was a line. The turnover rate wasn't great, about 20 people per hour. There weren't many seats, so waiting in line was inevitable. First, I lined up and after a while, I was prompted to buy a meal ticket. I purchased a special soy sauce ramen (1500 yen) ticket and waited a bit longer. After about 30-40 minutes, I entered the shop. I sat at the counter and the meal was served in about 5 minutes. The vibrant colored meat looked appetizing. I took a sip of the soup. It was a standard soy sauce flavor based on chicken. The noodles were of a decent thickness, and the portion was neither too much nor too little. The green onions on top were a nice touch. There were three types of meat, all lightly seasoned. They were moist and tender. I'm curious about trying their tsukemen as well.

Ramen Dangan Tokyo #6 Expedition ends with Shoyu Mental! Repeat of Nibokon until September. The smooth and chewy flat medium noodles have a great texture and throat feel. They are delicious with a strong wheat flavor. The cold soup leads with the umami of kombu, followed by the umami of seafood slowly spreading. The sharp soy sauce is slightly salty, which is a good tuning. I thought the dried fish would dominate, but the umami of kombu water is excellent and I like it. The duck chashu is moist and tender with a strong umami flavor, very delicious. Toppings like grated yam, shredded seaweed, fried onions, early red, green onions, and shiso are all diverse and go well with the soup. I forgot about the rice and easily finished the soup. It was great to be able to repeat it at the end of this summer. It was incredibly delicious, thank you for the meal. They are open late, so it's perfect for the last stop of an expedition, which is very much appreciated. Next time, I'll try the tsukemen or shoyu ramen.

A famous ramen shop in Akihabara, known for its chicken broth base with a strong soy sauce flavor and a distinctive dried fish aroma. The premium price of over 1,000 yen was well worth it for the quality of the ramen. It was worth waiting in line for.

I visited Honda-san under the elevated railway in Akihabara. Despite the heat, I waited in line third from the entrance, seeking shade. I endured the noise and warm breeze from a large outdoor air conditioning unit for about an hour. The noodles and chashu were very delicious. The only downside was forgetting to add a raw egg to my meat rice.

I visited on a regular night. It was past 8:30 PM and there was quite a line. It seems to be a popular restaurant due to its good location. I ordered the ramen and beer, as well as the shoulder loin as recommended on the top left when buying the food ticket. After waiting for about 30-40 minutes, we were able to enter. The interior of the restaurant has many tables, so it seems suitable for groups or families despite the long line. I started to get worried when the shoulder loin and ramen took a while to arrive, but both were incredibly delicious. The ramen was not the typical chicken type, but more of an old-fashioned Chinese soba with a strong bonito flavor. The overall quality was high, and I thought the char siu, toppings, soup, and noodles were all refined. One disappointing point is that although it was written to line up without buying a food ticket, those who bought a ticket seemed to be prioritized, which was confusing. Also, there were many suspicious-looking notices posted in front of the restaurant, giving the impression that they were solely focused on the ramen and neglected other aspects. Considering the price and the wait, I think it's good to try it once.

I dedicate my first five-star rating to this restaurant. It's safe to say that everything is packed into this place. Honestly, I thought there would be no tsukemen that could surpass Suzuharu, but T.O.T proved me wrong. The noodles made with kombu water, the soy sauce-based soup, everything is delicious. I'm not a ramen critic, just an amateur, but I think T.O.T was born for this tsukemen because of its incredible taste. And thanks to Mr. Honda for showing me a new discovery that I prefer the chashu soaked in the soup rather than on the side. *It looked so delicious that I took a picture after eating a little bit.

Last week, during my business trip to Tokyo, I finally got to visit Honda-san at 10:30, being the 8th in line. The 30-minute wait felt like forever! I ordered the special soy sauce ramen with a wonton topping, extra noodles, and a Stamina Don. I was seated right in front of where they were cooking, and I couldn't help but drool as I watched. When my bowl arrived, I couldn't wait to dig in! The noodles were so delicious, and I was glad I got the extra portion. The soup was also amazing! The noodles were similar to the ones I had at Kurafuto-san recently, with a springy texture and a great chew. The chicken oil was still hot and flavorful. Maybe next time I'll go for the large portion for a better balance. The sauce on the Stamina Don was tasty, and I finished it in no time after the ramen. I was so full that I decided to end my meal there that day. Next time, I'll definitely order the tsukemen! #HondaRamen #TokyoEats #TokyoRamen #ChiyodaEats #RamenLover #NoodleLife #NoodleGram #BusinessTripEats #RamenAdventures.

On Saturday morning around 10:50, there were already about 7 people lined up. I bought my food ticket and waited in line, and to our surprise, the store manager kindly opened the shop at 11:00 instead of the scheduled 11:30. How nice! After waiting about 10 minutes inside, the ramen arrived. I immediately tried the special soy sauce flavor. Wow! The noodles were gentle and the soup was delicious! So tasty! The three kinds of chashu were all so delicious! Amazing! The egg and seaweed were also delicious! It was delicious until the very end! It was truly wonderful. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived around 10:25 with determination as the special soy sauce tsukemen was lined up. Today, I was surprisingly at the front of the line! I ordered the regular portion of the special soy sauce tsukemen noodles. It had been a while since I last had it, but it was still delicious! However, I felt like there was slightly less kelp broth on the noodles this time. Usually, as you eat, the kelp thickens the soup gradually, which is really nice, but I felt like there was less of that this time. Maybe it was because I had ordered the regular portion of noodles? In any case, it's still undeniably delicious tsukemen! The best!! Next time, I'll go for the regular noodle portion. Thank you for the meal!

While drunk, I waited in line eagerly, but it didn't move much probably because it was nighttime. Finally ordered the most popular ramen in the top left corner. The soup had depth in its simplicity and the noodles were delicious. However, maybe because I was drunk, it tasted a bit bland to me. A bit disappointing considering my high expectations.

Visited Honda-san in Akihabara for lunch while nervously watching out for the approaching typhoon. It was my first time in Akihabara since moving here. There were two people waiting outside, so I joined them. We were guided to buy meal tickets and I got one for soy sauce ramen and green tea highball. Soon after, we were seated and served green tea highball with menma and chashu. It was a nice touch to have appetizers. The ramen arrived shortly after. The soup was a rich and flavorful clear broth with a good balance of animal and seafood umami. The noodles were smooth and paired well with the soup. The toppings included various types of chashu, menma, and green onions. The chashu was juicy and fragrant, and the roasted chicken had a delicious crispy skin. The black menma and green onions complemented the dish perfectly. I enjoyed the ramen slowly with my green tea highball and left feeling fully satisfied. The well-balanced bowl of ramen was truly impressive. I was impressed by the high level of quality. It was a delightful experience, especially considering the quick service during this time (possibly due to the typhoon). Thank you for the delicious meal.

I was surprised to find out that what I thought was kombu was actually very dark menma. I visited without doing any research, and after debating whether to have ramen or tsukemen at the ticket machine, I ended up choosing ramen. However, as soon as I entered the shop, I saw a poster saying "Winner of the TRY Tsukemen Award," which made me vow to come back again (the ramen was so delicious that I finished all the soup).

I had always wanted to go someday, and the opportunity finally came. After finishing work in Akihabara at 11 o'clock, I was able to line up as the 10th person before the store opened. I purchased a ticket for the Ajitama Shoyu ramen (1250 yen). The low-temperature cooked chashu and the firm and chewy homemade noodles were great, but the soup was especially delicious. First, the taste of soy sauce and the aroma stand out, and the balance of richness and seafood broth in the light soy sauce is exquisite. I finished eating and drinking in no time. I'm sure the other menu items are also great, but being a popular restaurant in a prime location with good service, the prices are a bit high.

The soy sauce dipping noodles at Menya Honda are exquisite. The texture of the noodles is excellent, and when dipped in the soup, it creates a perfect flavor. The combination of salt and sudachi was especially superb. The restaurant was lively, with a line of about 5 people, but it's worth the wait. Delicious noodles and a cozy atmosphere. A definite repeat visit.

Arrived on Monday at 13:08. There were 8 people waiting. Seated at 13:23. Served the bowl at 13:27. I tried the salt flavor for 1,250 yen as I had never eaten it before. According to reviews, not many people seem to eat the salt flavor, and even when I asked the staff for recommendations, they said soy sauce. So, maybe salt is just a side option. The soup itself didn't leave a strong impression on me. The bowl had 3 types of chashu with 4 slices each, and the noodles were thick, so it was quite filling. After finishing it, my impression was "It was a very satisfying bowl." This was my third visit, and I am convinced of something. This popular shop always has a long line on holidays, so it's best to go after lunchtime on weekdays. Thank you for the meal.

On September 4, 2023, I visited a ramen shop in Akihabara after finding out that the highest-rated one, Hotate, was already sold out. I had heard about this shop before but had never been there. I ordered the classic soy sauce ramen, priced at 1100 yen for the regular size and an additional 150 yen for a flavored egg. The wait time was just over 5 minutes before my bowl arrived. The soup was different than I expected, with a strong bonito broth that stood out, along with a nice balance of soy sauce, chicken, and dried fish flavors. The chicken thigh chashu was delicious, but the smoked pork chashu stole the show with its juicy and tasty texture. The egg was good, but compared to the soup and meat, it felt a bit ordinary. It was a hot day, so many people were ordering tsukemen. I believe that with this level of quality, other types of noodles would also be delicious. This shop seems like a safe choice for those who prefer salt or soy sauce ramen or tsukemen. The staff were efficient and the overall experience was satisfying. Although I don't visit Akihabara often, I would definitely consider coming back to this shop after my visit to Hotate. Thank you for the meal!

Around 11:10, 10 people arrived and waited for about 20 minutes to be seated.
[Order] Special soy sauce dipping noodles ¥1,600
Extra noodles ¥100
Stamina bowl (with egg) ¥350
I was taught how to eat the dipping noodles with a sign.
Surprisingly, this shop recommends slurping only the noodles at first.
They provide salt and sudachi to accompany the noodles.
The noodles were incredibly delicious and I felt like I could finish it all.
The dipping sauce for the noodles was not overpowering, allowing me to enjoy it until the end.
The noodles were flat, allowing them to soak up the sauce well.
The stamina bowl was a mini chashu bowl with a curry base, which added a nice touch.
Thank you for the meal.
