A special day with a slightly different routine. After lunch, it's time for sweets. Enjoying tea, reading a book, working on something - each person spending time in their own way. Connected directly from Kitahama Station to both the Keihan Line and the Sakaisuji Line, "Elmers Green Cafe" is a small, personal cafe. In contrast, when cafes are larger, sweets become mass-produced and drinks become mediocre. The atmosphere becomes restless and uncomfortable. My favorite Starbucks has been taken over by high school students. This cafe, on the other hand, is spacious and yet calming. Kitahama, once known as "Funebash" is the commercial center of Osaka, a city where urban living suits well. With a focus on homemade goods such as bread, sweets, and roasted coffee beans, this cafe offers irresistible scones, cakes, and puddings. Toffee pudding for 700 yen and Ceylon tea for 650 yen. A cake made with plenty of apricot and my favorite figs, with a chewy texture. Dip it in warm sauce and savor it. It's heavenly. All the stress just melts away. The generous pot service for tea is delightful. Stylish cafes often have a strategy of not allowing guests to stay for long, with just one cup per visit. But with plenty of tea to go with the sweet treats, you can enjoy a luxurious time here. My partner's chocolate banana scone was moist and delicious, and paired well with coffee. The staff at this cafe seem to prioritize flexible customer service, allowing each individual and each store to prioritize their own ideas. The service and menu may vary depending on the person and location. The personalized service without being overly manual is charming. It's rare to find in city cafes. This is my favorite cafe in Kitahama! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Seasonal Cookie Ice Sandwich Pumpkin ¥600 Hot Coffee ¥500 Elmer's Green Cafe in Kitahama. I've seen this place a few times on Instagram and the cookie ice sandwich with pumpkin and cream cheese ice cream looked too delicious to pass up. It's a sandwich with two whole wheat cookies sandwiching the ice cream. When it was served, the ice cream was so hard that I had to wait a while before eating it, but it just wouldn't melt (laughs). The ice cream had a sherbet-like, crunchy texture that lingered throughout. The taste was just right with the sweetness of the pumpkin, but the texture didn't quite match for me, so personally, it was just okay. It's located inside a building, but even on a weekday around 3 pm, it was quite crowded! There were also quite a few solo customers, so I was a little surprised at how popular it was (laughs).

Osaka / Kitahama [Elmars Green Cafe] / Convenient cafe directly connected to Kitahama Station ✨ I visited around noon on a weekday! I was able to enter without waiting in line ~ ☑︎ Tuna and Cheddar Cheese Sandwich ¥970 It had a refreshing taste with 80% lettuce, tomato, tuna paste, and cheddar cheese. The lettuce was not seasoned, so I wish there was a bit more tuna and cheese. The salad was just lettuce, so it was a lettuce-filled lunch haha. The price is a bit on the expensive side for just a sandwich (・・;) I recommend the sweets over lunch. The access is excellent as it is directly connected to Kitahama Station. Thank you for reading until the end! Likes and saves are appreciated ( ¨̮ ) ⤴︎⤴︎ Please check out Instagram as well ~ ~ @gourmet_tabi

Located directly connected to Exit 4 of Kitahama Station on the Subway Sakaisuji Line, this stylish cafe is a hidden gem. With its white walls and high ceilings, the interior exudes a trendy atmosphere. Despite its small size with only 3 counter seats and 4 table seats, this cafe is quite popular.
I recently visited this cafe after a long time, and although I couldn't take any photos inside this time, I enjoyed their delicious offerings. The Banana Cake (¥550) was a delightful treat with just the right amount of sweetness and a smooth cream topping with a hint of cinnamon. The Latte (¥580) was also excellent, allowing you to savor the flavor of the beans.
Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Peach trifle. It is served from 14:00 on weekdays. Since it was a holiday, I had it during lunchtime. The refreshing peach compote and sweet-sour raspberry jelly paired perfectly with the black tea cake, custard, and whipped cream. I couldn't stop eating it! I want more...! Maybe I could have just had dessert after a regular lunch? Haha

Lunch set after a long time. The restaurant is always bustling. I ordered the egg sandwich set and the tuna cheese sandwich set. The egg sandwich had a fluffy omelette with tartar sauce, delicious! It came with coffee and I think it was 1080 yen. I was surprised that the coffee portion was so small! (-""-;)

I went to try peach sweets♪ The Eatery information said it was until 8 pm, but it turned out to be until 6 pm. Quite a difference. I only had a short amount of time, but oh well. For dine-in, you sit down and order. I got the Peach Trifle for 1300 yen and Honey Lemonade for 550 yen. Here it comes... It looks kind of underwhelming... ( ; ; ) It looks like the photo, but it costs 1300 yen, you know? Well, maybe it's incredibly delicious. It seems to be Earl Grey tea chiffon. The tea leaves are slightly crunchy. Not too heavy custard and lightly sweetened whipped cream on top. There's a hint of white wine and lemon jelly with raspberry sauce. Dried mint and fresh mint leaves. Oh, right, the peach I initially came for. It seems to be poached in white wine and vanilla... it's quite light. It has a fresh taste. The portion is quite small though. Despite the various toppings, there's no remarkable synergy or excitement. For 1300 yen, I think the content is lacking. The plain white plate as a dish doesn't help either... I finished it in a flash. In total, it cost 1850 yen. I could have had a delicious tonkatsu for this price. Thank you for the meal.

On my day off, I wandered around looking for a place to have tea after lunch. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I finally got a seat. I ordered a cafe latte for 580 yen. The location of the cafe is great, near Kitahama Station. The scones and cakes looked very delicious, but I was too full from lunch so I just had coffee.

The stylish café on the first floor of Kitahama Plaza Building is usually too fancy for me, but it's a favorite spot of my colleague. Sometimes we go there for lunch. My go-to curry place is an Indian curry spot on the opposite side of Sakaisuji Street, but that's a story for another time. Whenever I come to this café, I always order the Keema Curry for 1200 yen, which comes with coffee after the meal. The serving time is a bit late for curry, but if you think of it as time to enjoy this stylish space, it's worth it. Enjoying the ethnic curry with a kick of spices is great for curry lovers! I hinted at it, but it's really delicious!

When you go to Namba, there is a high chance you will visit this café. Delicious cakes and coffee truly provide comfort. This time, I had carrot cake, which was tasty. However, if my memory serves me right, the prices seem to have increased quite a bit!

I continue to visit Kitahama. This time, I had an early lunch at the same place. I ordered the egg sandwich which wasn't available last time. It came with a warm tea set. I think it was 1080 yen? Or maybe 1030 yen? The baby leaf salad had a good amount of volume, which was nice. The egg was fluffy, and it seemed like tartar sauce-flavored mayonnaise was used, adding flavor to the egg and vegetables. It was delicious. The tea was served straight this time. It had a refreshing taste, maybe Assam? Not sure. There were many solo female customers like me this time, which made me happy. The atmosphere is nice, and this place is becoming one of my favorite spots.

I ordered pudding and iced coffee in the store, and carrot cake and a weekend special for takeout. The temperature rose, so I had my first iced coffee of the year, without sugar or milk, and it was delicious. There are other menu items like scones that I'm curious about, so I definitely want to come back.

After enjoying delicious soba noodles, we decided to have some dessert at Elmer's Green Cafe on the first floor of Kitahama Plaza, directly connected to Kitahama Station. This cafe is popular for its lunch options such as curry, sandwiches, and tarts. This time, I had the chocolate banana scone with coffee, while my partner had the toffee pudding with tea. The scones here are moist and incredibly delicious, not the dry kind you might expect. The combination of slightly bitter chocolate with sweet banana was perfect. The scones paired well with the bitter blend coffee. It was a wonderful afternoon indulging in exceptional sweets and coffee pairing. Thank you for the meal!

Cafe located on the 1st floor of Nishiham Plaza, just up from Exit 4 of Kitahama Station. The interior is cute and I've been curious about this cafe for a long time. They had a lunch menu, but today's lunch dessert was a small pudding, so I decided to order a cake separately. (If you get a drink as a set, it's ¥200 off).
- Egg Sandwich (¥970): A satisfying egg sandwich with plenty of juicy eggs that are fluffy like rolled omelette, mixed with homemade tartar sauce paste.
- Weekend Cake (¥550): The cake has a moist and firm texture, with a gentle lemon flavor. The interior of the stylish cafe is predominantly white, with nostalgic chairs reminiscent of elementary school. The shop was smaller than I expected, but the high ceiling and bright atmosphere made for a great lunch experience.

I came across this pudding shop in a magazine and had been wanting to try it. I visited on a weekday afternoon and was seated right away. The shop offers a variety of baked goods and cakes, but I chose the pudding without hesitation. It's a shop that makes you want to try everything. I left the shop around 3 o'clock and it was quite crowded.

I went to Kitahama after a long time and had some time before my appointment, so I decided to have lunch. I had checked on Tabelog beforehand, but couldn't find a good place between where I needed to go and the station. However, I unexpectedly found a very nice restaurant. The interior was stylish with spacious table arrangements and a pleasant brightness. There were about three lunch options, and I was in the mood for bread, so I ordered Croque Madame. Croque Madame + Hot Coffee = 1030 yen. The runny half-boiled egg and the gooey cheese between the bread were delicious. It's not a particularly special dish, but it was enjoyable to eat in that light. Since I'll be visiting Kitahama for a while, I would like to visit this place again.

The lunch set with Keema Curry was 1,350 yen. They also had Croque Monsieur, vegetable tart, and other options. The set came with a drink and dessert, all of which were delicious. The Keema Curry had a spicy flavor but wasn't too strong, and the minced chicken was easy to eat and tasty! ✨

There was a famous restaurant called Gokan in Kitahama. It was around 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon, and the inside of the restaurant was packed with a long line of people waiting. I took a waiting number ticket and went outside. However, since I couldn't decide what to do, I ended up going to the Elmer's Green Cafe across the street. The taste was average, and they didn't even serve peanuts as a snack, but at least it was good to be able to sit down. However, no matter how hard I try, I can only give it a score of 3.3.

I don't mind waiting in a long line at a cafe I want to visit, but this time I felt like it might be too much, so I looked for another option and found Elmer's Green Cafe across the street. It was perfect because it was cold outside. The cafe has a natural atmosphere that I really like. It was my first time visiting, and even though I had heard about it before, I was impressed. It was around lunchtime on the weekend, and about 80% of the seats were taken by customers. As I looked at the menu, I found something that looked delicious - French toast for 1,200 yen with a 200 yen discount on drinks. The homemade bread was about 10 centimeters thick and not too soft, allowing you to enjoy the texture of the bread. It was slightly moist and very enjoyable. It was topped with plenty of whipped cream, which was soft and not too sweet. Then, maple syrup was poured on top, adding a nice aroma and sweetness. The bacon with a hint of saltiness and the apple compote layered in between made it delicious until the last bite. I found out later that this was a weekend-only menu item. It was lucky that I stumbled upon such a wonderful dish. The area around Kitahama has many great cafes, so I'll have to come back to explore more. Thank you for the meal, Elmer's Green Cafe!

I visited branch at 11:20 for lunch. It's the old Mitsukoshi, now on the 1st floor of Kitahama Plaza. I was able to sit without waiting in line. They accept premium meal vouchers. I ordered the lunch time set which was supposed to be a vegetable tart, but they didn't have it today, so I went with the croque madame. It's a new menu item. For the set drink, I chose a hot café latte and requested latte art. The set also came with a mini dessert, a chestnut cake.

Elmer's Green is always crowded, but my favorite is the Yodoyabashi store in Osaka. I usually avoid the Kitahama store because it's always busy, but today at 11:45, I managed to enter without any problems. The lunch menu is reasonably priced, with options like Keema Curry, Egg Sandwich, or Egg Madam (similar to open-faced egg toast) with coffee for 1030 yen. I couldn't resist adding Carrot Cake for an additional 550 yen. The staff were friendly and the coffee was delicious, with a strong spice flavor in the Keema Curry. The Carrot Cake was the moistest I've ever had, with a light cream cheese frosting. Overall, it was a high-quality cafe experience in the competitive curry district of Kitahama.
