It has been many years since the Kinji-like main store opened in Teine Station. I used to frequent this restaurant often. By becoming a member, you could get a 10% discount and accumulate points for gift certificates. However, it has been many years since my one-year membership card expired. The Yoro Waterfall next door disappeared, turning into a banquet hall for this restaurant about 10 years ago. Yet, especially on weekends around 10:30 pm, when I get off at the station, I always end up going to this restaurant. This restaurant stays open late at night. The neighboring Tsubohachi Teine store and Hachime close early. Occasionally, I also visit the delicious food bar on the 2nd floor, which closes early. I wonder how they manage to thrive in this environment. The ramen shop, Ramen Juhachiban, on the corner closed down, and the newly opened ramen shop also eventually went out of business. There was a time when there was a restaurant that served instant ramen from all over the country, which attracted attention and I visited quite often, but that too disappeared. I will write about Bansei and Taishu Sushi at some point. Now, on this day, we opted for a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option and drank to our heart's content with two people. The side dishes included mozuku seaweed, sasami mentaiko, chicken skin, chicken wings, Genghis Khan skewers, tomato bacon, and potato mentaiko gratin. The bill came to just over 6000 yen. As the name suggests, Toritaro offers large and delicious yakitori. Not only yakitori, but the other menu items are also satisfying. While there are sushi and other filling options, unfortunately, I have never tried them. The selection of local sake is abundant and relatively inexpensive, but if you don't choose carefully, the all-you-can-drink option is definitely more cost-effective. The only downside is that the curry that used to be on the menu has disappeared. Apart from yakitori, the menu sometimes changes drastically. By the way, what is the gold ornament displayed in the center of the restaurant in a case? It may be a symbol of a chain store or something, but it gives off a slightly eerie feeling. The staff are all cheerful and friendly, but the floor tends to shake when walking around, which can be a bit challenging.
