I enjoyed the Avocado Cheese Baked Hamburg steak (¥1760) and the Crab Croquette (¥1760) at this 40-year-old established Western-style restaurant in Ikechika. Both came with homemade bread or rice. I also had corn soup (¥385). They have other locations in Midland Square and Meitetsu Department Store in Nagoya Station.
The crab croquette is a MUST-TRY! It's incredibly delicious – a rich, flavorful croquette made with carefully simmered crab meat, perfectly complementing the tomato sauce. I was amazed by how delicious crab croquettes could be! The main branch offers the option to add an extra crab croquette, which is perfect if you want to try other dishes.
The Avocado Cheese Baked Hamburg steak was also amazing. It's a hearty, densely packed hamburger topped with half an avocado and three types of cheese. The crispy, browned cheese adds a delicious textural contrast. It's normally served with a burnt soy sauce, but I paid an extra ¥110 for the demi-glace sauce, which is made over four days! It was a rich, deeply flavorful demi-glace. The corn soup was also thick and delicious.

Today, after finishing at the hospital and pharmacy, it was already past 1 PM. I thought this place might be less crowded at this time, and when I arrived, I was able to get in easily—only to find it was completely full, with just one seat left! I decided to choose chicken and fish from the lunch menu, excluding the sold-out hamburger, and we'll share them with my wife. I feel like chicken and salmon have always been on the lunch menu here. Despite the crowd, the food came out quickly, and as always, it was absolutely delicious. The fish really shines with its skin. The chicken was also outstanding; the quality is definitely high. Plus, it’s affordable—just 2800 yen for both of us. It’s on par with the Royal Host, which left me impressed not long ago. Come to think of it, I've been visiting Western-style restaurants consecutively—this is the fourth one, right? But since they’ve all been great, I’m quite satisfied. This is really a wonderful restaurant.

Cultural Western-style Restaurant Main Branch 052-761-2941 Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya City, Chikusa Ward, Takami 1-2-1 SK Building 1F https://tabelog.com/aichi/A2301/A230106/23000244/ I went to eat items like onion gratin soup, crab croquette, shrimp tempura, cheese souffle, and a faux crab doria, but those menu items had ended, so I ordered the crab croquette instead. The rich crab cream paired well with the tomato sauce. The onion gratin soup was also piping hot and highly recommended.

- Today's chef's lunch (fish dish) is a salad rice set with baked fresh fish topped with mashed potatoes and Aurora sauce, accompanied by marinated lentils and red onions. - Crab croquette topping (single serving of crab croquette). - Cold sweet potato soup. You absolutely must order the crab croquette topping! It's more like a crab croquette than a crab cream croquette, and you can really taste the crab, making it delicious. I was initially going to choose a meat dish, but opting for the fish was definitely the right choice! It's always busy, so I went just before 2:30 PM, and I was the first in line. It's not worth coming from far away, but if it were nearby, I would definitely visit again.

I lived in Nagoya three years ago and often thought, "I'd love to come here for dinner," but never made it happen while I resided there. During my recent trip to Nagoya, I finally visited. We ordered:
- Assorted appetizers x2
- Crab croquettes
- Mustard-grilled young chicken
- Beer x2
- Red wine decanter
Each item among the appetizers was delicious, and the pairing of the classic crab croquettes with red wine was amazing. Instead of the hamburger, I chose chicken, and I did think for a moment, "I should've gone with the hamburger." I had ordered it before when I lived there, but I highly recommend their osechi (Japanese New Year cuisine) as well!

I couldn't make a reservation for Saturday or Sunday night, so I lined up at 4:30 PM. By the 5:00 PM opening, there was already a huge line! Their signature dish, a hamburger with a rich demi-glace sauce simmered for three days, was as delicious as always!

The restaurant opens at 11:30, but I arrived at 11:00 and waited outside on a chair. Around 11:00, a few customers started to line up, and by the time the restaurant opened, there were quite a few people waiting. Since I was able to enter right when it opened, the staff guided me to a cozy two-person sofa seat. (*^^*) While waiting outside, I had decided on the "Chef's Recommended Fish Dish of the Day" (which comes with a choice of salad or miso soup, and rice or bread), and my husband chose the "Chef's Recommended Meat Dish of the Day," which was a limited special of Menchi Katsu (breaded ground meat cutlet) available in only 20 servings. Many customers had ordered the Menchi Katsu. When I told the staff, “I’d like one of the daily fish dish and one of the Menchi Katsu, please,” they looked puzzled and asked, “Daily...?” So it seems it’s better to either order directly from the menu or check the board outside when ordering the “Chef's Recommended” dishes (((・・;).
Also, it took about 20 minutes for our food to arrive, so it might be tough for those who need to eat quickly and leave. ⭐ The fish dish I ordered was fried until the skin was crispy, and it paired wonderfully with the spicy cod roe and shiso sauce; it was delicious! The side of potatoes was also crispy on the outside, and it was the best potato dish I've had recently! My husband’s Menchi Katsu was quite large and very filling, and he said it was delicious as well. If we ever visit Nagoya again, we would definitely want to return!

The set meal menu includes sweets, making it a great deal. The appetizer platter featured delicious rice croquettes, allowing me to enjoy a variety of ingredients. The hamburger was substantial, and I was pleased to find a small cut of lasagna on top. The crab croquette was packed with shredded crab and had a gentle flavor, and it was also quite large. PayPay is accepted, but credit cards are not.

I have been taking care of this restaurant for a long time. I visited again after a while, and it was truly packed with customers as always. I made a reservation this time as well. The staff's service is excellent, and the taste has remained delicious over the years. I highly recommend it!

●Order Menu: Meat Lunch (Cultural Style Chicken Cutlet) ¥1,300, Today's Soup (Chilled Sweet Potato Soup) ¥500
●Review: I revisited a cultural Western-style restaurant for lunch, appreciated for its ample parking. I chose a meat dish from the lunch menu. The chicken was large and filled with plenty of cheese! Unfortunately, the soup had no trace of sweet potato flavor. I was disappointed, having had high hopes for it. I prefer the standard corn soup. This was my first time having lunch here, and overall, I found the menu to be limited, with more meat options than I expected. When I want to choose from a variety of dishes, it’s definitely better to visit at night.

Splurge dinner! I've been here for lunch often, but this was my first time for dinner. I ordered the avocado hamburger as a set meal! It was a full-course dinner! The appetizer was onion soup, delicious! The onions were perfectly tender, the best! I don't usually like onions, so you know it's good! It was piping hot, so be careful not to burn yourself! The main course hamburger was also great, with plenty of avocado. It was even better with wasabi. I finished with a cheese soufflé and Darjeeling tea. Definitely coming back!

I visited for lunch. It's a popular restaurant, so there is often a line, but the parking lot is spacious, and the food is consistently delicious. This time, I saw on LINE that they were serving chicken cutlet, and I just had to try it. They serve lunch until 3:00 PM, which makes it convenient for me to visit at a later time. Adding an appetizer and dessert raised the price by about 1000 yen, but I enjoyed a variety of appetizers, which I highly recommend. You can also get crab cream croquettes for an additional charge. I believe bread and rice are free to refill. The crab flavor is quite strong, but if you like it, you'll enjoy it. It has a typical Western-style restaurant taste with careful seasoning. Both the hamburger and chicken cutlet were truly delicious, and I left very full. Thank you for the wonderful meal! I’ll definitely visit again.

We used to go to this restaurant often, but it's always packed at lunchtime, so we hadn't been in a while. It's one of our favorites – delicious, affordable, and with a great atmosphere. Today, I finished a doctor's appointment around 2:30 pm and decided to try our luck. It was thankfully empty close to closing time! We had the place almost to ourselves, enjoying the same high-quality, bright atmosphere we loved. My wife had the hamburger, I ordered the oyster fritters, and we shared the crab cream croquettes (which we remembered being delicious) and an Ebisu beer. Oh, and their coleslaw is amazing! Everything was exceptionally good, refined and tasty. The tartar sauce on the oyster fritters was perfect, and the crab croquettes were the best we've ever had. The Ebisu beer – a seasonal offering, perhaps? – was fantastic. It was wonderful to see that the quality of the food and the ambiance remained as excellent as we remembered. Going right before closing is definitely worth it to avoid the lunch rush. By the way, today was our wedding anniversary.

This long-standing Western-style restaurant in Ikegaya, right in front of Higashibu Citizen's Hospital, is amazing. I've been a regular for 30 years, and the taste and menu haven't changed much. It's always busy, both lunch and dinner, especially packed on weekend lunches. Prices haven't gone up much either, considering how long it's been. A full meal with appetizer, main course, dessert, and coffee costs around ¥4,000-5,000. Honestly, they could probably raise prices by 20% and still be fine – it's that good and that affordable! The best Western food. Thanks for a great meal, I'll be back many more times!

I visited the main branch of a cultural Western-style restaurant that I hadn’t been to in a while (just a past post). They serve classic Western dishes like hamburgers, cutlets, and their famous crab cream croquettes and onion soup! These are must-tries. Even after eating a lot, the bill is quite reasonable, which is a nice aspect of this traditional Western-style restaurant.

I heard a lot about this popular Western-style restaurant, but this was my first visit. I was torn between the most popular hamburger, but I ended up ordering the salad with fresh ham and delicious vegetables, along with the meunière of white fish wrapped in bacon with scallops. It was so good! The grilled vegetables served on the side were rich and paired well with wine! Also, my dining companion's steak looked delicious, and I noticed everyone else was eating hamburgers! I don’t regret my choice, but I definitely want to come back. Thank you for the meal! I will visit again!

This is a restaurant where families, friends, and couples can all enjoy delicious and reasonably priced meals that are filling and perfectly matched in taste, quality, and quantity. I've been going to this amazing place for about 30 years! Their signature is the set menu, which includes an appetizer, a main dish, a dessert, and a drink, with a small additional fee on top of the main price. The owner personally prepares everything at the main location, using homemade recipes. The owner also sources ingredients by himself at the Nagoya Wholesale Market, ensuring the quality is definitely superior to other restaurants. Recently, they have added a unique and outstanding dish, the crab cream croquette, which is absolutely delicious and a must-order. It’s a one-of-a-kind crab cream croquette that everyone loves. This restaurant has always been, and will continue to be, a cherished place for me. I hope to keep visiting for a long time!

I ordered a fish lunch and a peach soup, as well as a meat lunch and one crab croquette. It was very crowded, but I wanted to experience the cultural cafeteria today, so I waited. The food was very delicious. I really like peach soup, so whenever I find a place that serves it, I always order it. The peach soup at the cultural cafeteria had a slightly strong yogurt flavor. Thank you for the meal!

I'm going to eat a grated hamburger. It's delicious. The hamburger is fried and has a crispy texture, which I really like among the crispy options. The pork dish from the lunch menu was also tasty. The carrots that came with it were sweet and delicious, and the potatoes were great too. The salad was tasty as well. It was crowded, but I want to go again.

The onion soup is truly the best. Even as someone who dislikes onions, I was able to enjoy the onion soup here. The set meal, which includes a main dish plus appetizers, rice, dessert, and a drink, was really nice. It was like the Western food set I dreamed of as a child, leaving my heart satisfied and my stomach full. This is a comforting Western-style restaurant.

I visited the main store of a cultural Western-style dining restaurant that has six locations in Nagoya around 12:00 PM on a weekday. The interior was around 80% full, and I was seated at the counter where I could see the kitchen, which was a great spot. It seemed like the lunch menu highly recommended the hamburger, but I ordered the "Bunka no Kani Koro" (crab croquette) for 1400 yen, letting them know I only wanted rice and not the red miso soup or salad (which deducted 50 yen) → making it 1350 yen. As I observed the kitchen's activity, I noticed that the crab croquette was popular, almost as much as the hamburger. By the way, this place serves "Kani Koro," not crab cream croquettes. When I broke open the Kani Koro, it had a brown color—might not look appealing visually, but once I took a bite, the flavor of the crab spread throughout my mouth. The sauce had a rich tomato taste, and the acidity of the tomato paired perfectly with the crab. I was expecting something like a usual crab cream croquette, but this exceeded my expectations in flavor. It was quite interesting, and I definitely want to try other menu items as well. Thank you for the meal!
