Hanawasabi is an izakaya in Maruyama where everything you eat is delicious! Their dishes that go well with alcohol are all tasty! The juicy homemade Muroran yakitori with delicious sauce is so good that you'll want more (laughs). They also have a wide variety of drinks! I want to try their seasonal seri hot pot next time. Check out more details here ☟ Hanawasabi in Maruyama Park is delicious no matter what you eat ♡ Try their amazing Muroran yakitori ♡

This is my first time at this restaurant. My family of four came here. Inside the restaurant, there are various sake bottles displayed, with Tan sake standing out. We decided to try it out, ordering a second round of cold sake. For the first round, we had Sapporo Classic beer which is perfect for hot summer days. Normally, we would order seafood dishes to pair with the sake, but Tan sake is a dry sake that goes well with Muroran yakitori sauce and the restaurant's recommended gyoza. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Oh, and it seems like they also have a self-service frozen gyoza vending machine in a separate building.

The other day, I purchased frozen dumplings from a vending machine. A pack of 24 dumplings cost 1000 yen. I bought the regular dumplings and cooked them at home. The quality of the dumplings was a bit sloppy with some of them having open mouths. The sesame oil flavor was too strong for my liking.

I visited my favorite restaurant, Wasabi-san, today to enjoy their Tachipon and Tachiten dishes. Despite the current situation and it being a Sunday night, the restaurant was almost full (with thorough infection prevention measures in place). We had made a reservation, so we were seated at a table and served with my favorite appetizer, Tsukimonkonjac salad. I was delighted! The Yuzu sake and plum wine were both delicious, especially the plum wine with its thick fruit pulp adding to its flavor. The Tachipon was creamy and delightful, and the Tachiten was luxurious. The green onion omelette was a perfect balance of sweetness and dashi flavor. I forgot to take photos from here onwards. I couldn't resist ordering the Seri hot pot as well, which was served with Ojiya Seri, a unique combination of flavors. I added some Japanese sake (Tatsumi) to enjoy with it. The Miso-wrapped Okra in Naruko style, paired with Tatsumi sake, was a perfect happy set! I felt so happy and content, enjoying the winter flavors of the northern region before heading home. The variety of dishes and drinks at this restaurant is impressive, and while it may be a bit pricey, it's definitely worth a visit for the authentic and exceptional dishes they offer. Thank you so much for the wonderful meal.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant the other day. The place was bustling with lots of people. I ordered skewers, sashimi, and the restaurant's recommended gyoza. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, but the rest was just average. Honestly, I was disappointed with the gyoza as I had high expectations. The prices of the drinks were a bit high.

Welcome.---------- April 2020 ----------Located near Minami 3 Nishi 24, 25 along the back street from the approach to Yamahana, this bar has a calming Showa-era atmosphere with charcoal grilling going on, creating a sense of eating even if you're not. Serving skewers, gyoza, and fish sourced from the market, the menu attracts an older crowd. Takeout is available. Located in a good area for parking, they offer takeout yakitori bento boxes featuring pork belly skewers. The bento boxes have an elegant appearance and are made with three pieces of pork belly that are tender and slightly sweet from the sauce with onions and seaweed. The rice is small-grained but flavorful, and does not harden when cold. The "tsukune" caught my attention, as it is homemade.

This is a restaurant I used shortly after coming to Sapporo. The area around this restaurant in Maruyama is known for having many high-end properties, with lots of fancy sushi and yakiniku restaurants, but fewer places like izakayas where people like me, who enjoy drinking, can hang out. This restaurant falls under the izakaya category, but it is not a run-down place. The decor and dishes are somewhat refined, giving off a slightly upscale vibe. There is also a counter where you can sit alone, like at a bar. The menu features dishes like saltwater sea urchin (1,200 yen), oysters (600 yen), and local Hokkaido specialty yakitori. They offer a variety of high-quality sake like Morioh (1,500 yen) and Maou (1,000 yen) at a reasonable price compared to what you would find in Tokyo. My rating on Tabelog in early February 2019 was 3.05 stars.

Visited alone on a weekday after 7 pm, located a bit south of the back approach, along 24th Street, with 4-5 parking spaces in front of the store. A TV is installed at the left end of the counter, which is convenient for solo diners. There was one customer at the counter, two groups of six at the raised seating area, and two groups of four at the back. Started with "Beer (THE PERFECT CLASSIC)" - creamy and perfect foam! It's delicious, but I'm actually a fan of Asahi. For starters, I had "Oden" in a small dish (I wish it had mustard). It's slightly chewy but has a good flavor. Ordered "Fresh Squid Sashimi" for 650 yen - neatly sliced and easy to eat. "Hatahata Night-dried Grilled Fish" (three pieces) for 600 yen - they skillfully bring out the seasonal flavors, served with grated daikon which eliminates the need for soy sauce. The saltiness is perfect, and the texture is firm and delicious. "Grilled White Liver Skewer" for 180 yen - it's nice that you can order one skewer at a time. The grilling of the fish was excellent, but the grilling of this liver was also divine. It had a perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture due to the superb cooking, bringing out the best of the ingredients. I didn't order any other skewers, but I'd like to try other grilled dishes here. "Lotus Root Tempura" for 480 yen - it comes with salt, but the ingredient itself has enough flavor, so it wasn't necessary for me who prefers mild flavors. The batter was a bit hard. The sake was "Gokyo" - a wooden barrel-made, mountain-fermented pure rice sake +1 (Yamaguchi Prefecture) for 630 yen. It was elegantly served in a champagne glass. It was my first time trying it, and it had a good mouthfeel, fruity like a ginjo sake, but not overly light, making it a solid and good sake. The menu offers a variety of carb dishes for the finale, such as ramen, chicken noodles, curry, and ochazuke, catering well to those who enjoy a hearty meal. While not a cheap izakaya, the dishes are well-balanced in flavor, especially the grilled items which are outstanding, whether it's fish or skewers. Whether you're drinking alone at the counter with the TV, chatting with the talkative staff, or having a lively time with a group, this place seems versatile for any scene. "THE PERFECT CLASSIC" - there are only a few places in the country where you can drink this! These are establishments that have passed Sapporo Beer's strict inspections (including undercover investigations) to provide perfectly brewed draft beer. Furthermore, they are allowed to use a special foaming device that produces a creamy foam to the micron level. Truly a "perfect" classic experience.

The atmosphere of the place was elegant and clean for an izakaya. Jazz music played in the background, adding to the stylish ambiance. I ordered the "janbo yakigyoza set meal" for 880 yen, which was recommended. The gyoza were large and had a nice crispy exterior. They were juicy and delicious, not too heavy. The rice was light and could have been tastier. The miso soup had a good dashi flavor with wakame and tofu. The pickles were tangy and colorful. Overall, the meal was a bit pricey for the portion size, so adding one or two more dishes would have been nice. I would like to come back at night to try the sake and charcoal-grilled dishes.

Meeting at a restaurant called "Hanawasabi" for the first time as per the client's request. The exterior had a charming atmosphere, like a seafood izakaya, with tables and chairs outside. Inside, it was bustling with a banquet in full swing. I managed to secure a seat at the counter, but had to wait for the previous diners' dishes to be cleared before I could sit down, which took a bit longer than expected. Once seated, I ordered a draft beer and shiitake mushroom tempura while waiting for my meeting partner. The tempura arrived quickly and was delicious, especially when dipped in salt. The pork skewers came in various flavors like yuzu pepper and mountain wasabi, and they were all excellent choices. The donburi dish I ordered, topped with marinated sashimi and mountain wasabi, was also quite tasty. The grilled half portion of red sea bream was reasonably priced at around 600 yen. The restaurant had a wide selection of drinks, including barley and sweet potato shochu, and a variety of sake. Overall, it left a good impression with its reasonable prices and cozy atmosphere, making it a great place for both group gatherings and solo dining.

I went out for a meal with my wife on Sunday. We decided to try out a new izakaya that we had been curious about for a while. The place was a slightly stylish yakitori restaurant. My wife ordered tea while I ordered a glass of sake, which was quite expensive at 1,000 yen per glass. The dishes ranged from 600 to 1,000 yen each, which was average compared to other nearby restaurants, but the quality didn't match the price. Additionally, the time it took for our orders to arrive was unusually long despite the place not being very busy. The balance between price, taste, atmosphere, and service was disappointing. Overall, it was a decent restaurant but could use some improvements.
