Visited alone on a weekday after 7 pm, located a bit south of the back approach, along 24th Street, with 4-5 parking spaces in front of the store. A TV is installed at the left end of the counter, which is convenient for solo diners. There was one customer at the counter, two groups of six at the raised seating area, and two groups of four at the back. Started with "Beer (THE PERFECT CLASSIC)" - creamy and perfect foam! It's delicious, but I'm actually a fan of Asahi. For starters, I had "Oden" in a small dish (I wish it had mustard). It's slightly chewy but has a good flavor. Ordered "Fresh Squid Sashimi" for 650 yen - neatly sliced and easy to eat. "Hatahata Night-dried Grilled Fish" (three pieces) for 600 yen - they skillfully bring out the seasonal flavors, served with grated daikon which eliminates the need for soy sauce. The saltiness is perfect, and the texture is firm and delicious. "Grilled White Liver Skewer" for 180 yen - it's nice that you can order one skewer at a time. The grilling of the fish was excellent, but the grilling of this liver was also divine. It had a perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture due to the superb cooking, bringing out the best of the ingredients. I didn't order any other skewers, but I'd like to try other grilled dishes here. "Lotus Root Tempura" for 480 yen - it comes with salt, but the ingredient itself has enough flavor, so it wasn't necessary for me who prefers mild flavors. The batter was a bit hard. The sake was "Gokyo" - a wooden barrel-made, mountain-fermented pure rice sake +1 (Yamaguchi Prefecture) for 630 yen. It was elegantly served in a champagne glass. It was my first time trying it, and it had a good mouthfeel, fruity like a ginjo sake, but not overly light, making it a solid and good sake. The menu offers a variety of carb dishes for the finale, such as ramen, chicken noodles, curry, and ochazuke, catering well to those who enjoy a hearty meal. While not a cheap izakaya, the dishes are well-balanced in flavor, especially the grilled items which are outstanding, whether it's fish or skewers. Whether you're drinking alone at the counter with the TV, chatting with the talkative staff, or having a lively time with a group, this place seems versatile for any scene. "THE PERFECT CLASSIC" - there are only a few places in the country where you can drink this! These are establishments that have passed Sapporo Beer's strict inspections (including undercover investigations) to provide perfectly brewed draft beer. Furthermore, they are allowed to use a special foaming device that produces a creamy foam to the micron level. Truly a "perfect" classic experience.
