【Completely Non-Smoking】Opened in the central area of Kitahiroshima City on March 25, 2023, this tonkatsu restaurant offers unlimited refills of rice, cabbage, and miso soup. You can order using a smartphone at this location along the Do-do 1080 (Oomagari-dori) street, about 80m from the intersection with Ballpark Street, heading towards Oomagari. It's about a 10-minute walk from JR Kitahiroshima Station.Visited for the first time on March 29, 2023, at 11:30 am. I had forgotten my wallet yesterday when I went to the new stadium, and today, despite believing the restaurant's website, I couldn't get in. What I wanted to say is that finding this place today and deciding to stop by was not a coincidence but fate. Now, I'm heading to Makkari to have ramen and fried rice, but I spotted a sign for tonkatsu on the way. I wonder when this restaurant opened? I entered the restaurant, but it had just opened, so I waited a bit. I sat at the counter and placed my order without using a smartphone, unlike other customers who were struggling with the system. The staff, with a smile, kindly taught each person how to order. I ordered the Aimore lunch for 1250 yen, with an extra large portion of rice and an additional 3 pieces of fried chicken for 330 yen. The food was served in just a few minutes. The miso soup was made with white miso and mushrooms, and the fact that you could have refills was a great service. The shredded cabbage with dressing seemed homemade and delicious. The frying oil for the tonkatsu seemed to be a mix of rapeseed and palm oil, giving a crispy texture. However, the pork cutlet was slightly overcooked, and the seasoning was a bit strong. The meat was undoubtedly from Hokkaido and tasty. The pricing was fair for the quality of the tonkatsu, tasty dressing, and delicious miso soup with refills. The fried chicken was made with ginger-marinated chicken thigh meat, but I would have preferred zangi instead of fried chicken. Overall, this restaurant offers great value for money, and I plan to revisit soon, as it is currently the only all-you-can-eat place around Kitahiroshima Station.

Beautiful restaurant. The tonkatsu is crispy and delicious. The miso soup is also tasty. I recommend trying it with rock salt in addition to the sauce. Not only the tonkatsu, but also the menchikatsu is delicious. It has a peppery flavor, making it more suitable for adults, but it still has a strong taste even without sauce.

I ordered a set of fried shrimp and pork cutlet for 1300 yen, along with an iced coffee for 150 yen! The crispy fried shrimp was especially delicious, and the pork cutlet made with high-quality pork was tender and tasty! I was slightly bothered by the staff's chatting, but everything else was good. It seems that ordering with a smartphone is the norm, but if you don't have one, you can still order directly with the staff! I would like to visit again if I have the chance!

I decided to have lunch at the newly opened restaurant "Hachifuku". With the opening of Escon Field, North Hiroshima City is becoming more vibrant! I was surprised to see the parking lot full even though it was past 2 pm. The restaurant uses a new system where you can order through your smartphone. I ordered the "Pork Cutlet Curry with Regular Rice (¥1100)" because I wanted to experience the crispy texture. The portion was quite generous, and the pork cutlet was larger than I expected. The breading was fine and crispy, and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The curry was mild and slightly sweet, but a bit lukewarm. The cabbage salad was fresh and crunchy. Overall, the meal was satisfying and I would like to try their other dishes in the future. The service was excellent, and I hope this tonkatsu restaurant becomes popular. Thank you for the meal.

This is a place in Misawa 3-chome in Kitahiroshima City, and it may be difficult to provide a detailed description of the exact location, so as always, please check the map on Tabelog for more details. There is news that a new tonkatsu restaurant has opened on Oomagari Street in Kitahiroshima, so I decided to visit the restaurant out of curiosity. Upon arrival at the restaurant, I parked my car in the parking lot next to the store and then entered the restaurant. I sat at the available counter seat and looked at the lunch menu. Following my usual rule of choosing the top left item on the menu, I ordered the "Three-Point Pork Loin Cutlet Lunch" with a small portion of rice using my smartphone. It arrived in about 12-13 minutes, and the tonkatsu was already sliced in half. I tried the tonkatsu as it was, and it was fried quite well, although there was less fat for a pork loin cutlet, which was a bit disappointing. I then dipped the meat in mustard and soaked it in the sauce provided on the plate. The sauce was a medium-thick type with a mild acidity, making it easy to enjoy. Next, I tried the cabbage, which was recommended to be eaten with dressing, but personally, I prefer to eat tonkatsu cabbage with sauce. Lastly, I had miso soup with nameko mushrooms and fried tofu, and I finished the pickles as a palate cleanser. The lunch menu was all over a thousand yen, and for those who do not get refills on rice, miso soup, or cabbage, it may feel a bit expensive.

I had the pork cutlet and shrimp fry set meal for lunch for 1,300 yen. Rice, miso soup, and cabbage are free for refills, and it's nice that you can also get free refills of miso soup with additional ingredients like nameko mushrooms. The special dressing for the cabbage is delicious, and both the cutlet and shrimp fry are tasty and reasonably sized, making it a good deal overall.

I found out about this place from a review by the spicy food lover Mogutan. You can dine in, but we opted for takeout as it was a burger joint in Kitahiroshima City. We had the Sauce Katsu Don for 850 yen, which we had reserved over the phone the day before. The restaurant is located on a corner with an L-shaped parking space. We were surprised to find it packed just 10 minutes after opening. The place used to be a residential home, so it's clean and has a nice atmosphere. We arrived earlier than the time we had mentioned, but the very friendly lady who served us apologized for making us wait. The katsu was large and of high quality, though not very juicy. The sauce was on the sweeter side, and the soft-boiled egg turned out to be an onsen egg. My companion had the katsu curry, which was delicious with a good balance of spiciness, sweetness, and richness. It was a truly authentic curry experience. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the Esukonfiirudo Hokkaido and on the way back, I bought a bento at a newly opened place! It was after lunch hours, and the new store was still in the process of training new staff members. I ordered the "Rosukatsu Bento" (980 yen) and also got the "Hokkaido Croquette" (180 yen). After paying, they said, "We will bring it to your car." So, I waited in the car and it was brought to me in about 10 minutes. When I got home, I had it for dinner. The Hokkaido Croquette was delicious with the sweetness and fluffy texture of the potatoes. But, it was a bit pricey. If it was a little cheaper, I would buy 2-3 more. The croquette was crispy and the pork cutlet was tender and tasty. The pork cutlet in the bento was about 120g, and the rice was deliciously fluffy! However, since it was a bento, I couldn't get a refill and it wasn't enough. The cabbage portion was also a bit small, which was a bit disappointing. Next time, I would definitely like to have a refill of rice and cabbage in the store. Thank you, Yafuku!

I stumbled upon a new restaurant called Tonkatsu Hachifuku in Kitahiroshima while looking for a place to have lunch. I decided to check it out on a Saturday around 11:30 am. When I entered, there were no other customers, but soon the place filled up quickly. It seemed like there was a baseball game at Escon Field nearby, which may have brought in the crowd. Customers waiting were asked to wait outside and would be called in using a phone system. Orders were placed through a smartphone. I opted for a mixed set of loin and fillet cutlets (¥1250). The tonkatsu was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The salad dressing was also delicious. My companion had a loin and shrimp fry set (¥1300) and a loin katsu donburi (¥1100). The shrimp fry was large and very tasty. I thought the prices were quite reasonable for the quality of food we received. Kitahiroshima lacks dining options and many places are closed on weekends, so it was a pleasant surprise to find such a good meal here. I look forward to trying their takeout options like katsu sandwiches next time.
