This is a French toast specialty cafe located near Sakaisuji Hommachi Station. I tried to go alone on a weekday before, but there was a line so I gave up. This time, I went with a friend and had some time, so we waited in line. There were about three groups ahead of us, and I think we waited for almost an hour. The cafe has about 10 seats, and it takes 20 minutes to cook the French toast, as indicated. The menu for dine-in includes only French toast, with the option to add ice cream and choose a drink. I chose the French toast with ice cream and an iced coffee with milk. The French toast was served quickly, and the presentation was impressive. The French toast itself was fluffy with a rich egg flavor. The ice coffee with milk was delicious, with a good balance of coffee and milk flavors. Overall, the cafe offers a unique dining experience with a touch of entertainment. It's a great place to visit with someone you know well. I also bought a canelé to go, which had a rich buttery flavor similar to the French toast.

When I arrived at the shop in the nearby area that I had checked to visit, I aimed for the first round and visited around 10:45 am on a Saturday, 15 minutes before opening. At this point, there was no line, but soon after, there were over 10 people waiting in line. It was a lucky timing difference. The staff came out and bowed deeply, and the shop opened a little earlier than scheduled. Currently, there are 5 groups and 10 seats available, and up to 8 people were able to enter for the first round. Each person is required to order one French toast and one drink for dine-in. The French toast takes about 20 minutes to prepare, and the order includes choosing whether to add ice cream toppings and selecting a drink. I ordered the Souffle Pain Perdu (1,350 yen) with Iced Coffee Milk (650 yen). The iced coffee milk was served first after about 15 minutes. Then, the show by the theatrical staff began. They poured espresso into the Jersey milk, adding dramatic explanations along the way. The espresso's sharp bitterness mixed well with the milky Jersey milk, creating a delicious drink. Next, the Souffle Pain Perdu (French toast) was served. It was made with brioche and topped with a compote made from Marimeime strawberries, Jersey milk caramel sauce, crushed rusk on whipped cream, and maple syrup. The French toast was warm and crispy, and drizzling maple syrup over it enhanced its deliciousness. The slightly acidic strawberry sauce and the crunchy rusk on top of the whipped cream were also delicious. The owner and staff's unique and friendly service added to the pleasant experience. According to Instagram, the shop is scheduled to close in August 2024, so I recommend visiting early if you are interested. Thank you for the meal! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) *Around 11:30 am when I left, there were over 10 people waiting in line.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was stylish, and the staff were fun and enjoyable. Even though last order was at 4:00 PM, we arrived right at 3:30 PM. Luckily, there was a table available so we were able to get in right away. The French toast was really delicious.

There are so many cute Western-style sweets!! I would be happy to receive them as a souvenir. They offer stylish and elegant delicious sweets in Osaka. Their French toast is popular and there are even lines for it.

I found a café near the hotel I stayed at. There was a line, but luckily we only had to wait for 3 groups. It started drizzling, so one group left. Across the street, there was a women's clothing store with lots of cute clothes. I ended up buying a dress there. The shop owner was very friendly and recommended a restaurant for dinner. We spent about 15 minutes there and when we returned, we were first in line. The line had gotten much longer. The staff came out and apologized profusely, just like at Disneyland. Inside, the waitress explained the menu in a cute voice, like in a theater show. The highlight was the coffee milk, which was a must-try. The French toast was served hot with ice cream, and it was delicious. The service was great, and the experience was enjoyable. It's a shame the restaurant is closing soon. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

When it comes to French toast in Osaka, I think of French Market. I arrived around 9:45 am since they open at 10 am. I just made it in time for the first round of toast. The French toast was served in about 30 minutes and it was incredibly delicious, I couldn't help but let out a sound of delight. What stood out the most was the charming personality of the staff, which kept me smiling throughout. If you're in Osaka, be sure to check it out.

I finally got to visit a French toast specialty shop that I've been curious about for a long time! There's always a long line, and on this day, a Sunday afternoon, I waited for about 40 minutes. The wait time is long because the seating is limited at the counter, the French toast is carefully made, and the performance when serving takes time. The French toast is baked slowly in the oven. You can enjoy it with maple syrup or jam. The taste exceeded my expectations and I was impressed! If you can drink coffee, definitely try the iced coffee with milk. It's worth waiting in line for the delicious food here! Try waiting in line like it's an attraction. (It's not shaded, so an umbrella is necessary in the summer)

On weekends around 1 PM, there were about 7 groups waiting in line. After waiting for about an hour, we finally got in. As it is a French market, it seems like you must order the French toast. You can order other items after ordering that... This may not be suitable for couples with one person who likes sweet things and the other who doesn't. The staff speaks in a theatrical manner, asking "How are you feeling about it?" Some customers were filming, some were smiling awkwardly, it varied. As for the taste, the French toast was indeed fluffy, but for around 2000 yen after waiting for an hour... it felt a bit overpriced. I didn't feel like going back again. Personally, I preferred the French toast from a certain famous cafe in Kyoto or a certain famous hotel in Osaka. The cuteness of the exterior and interior of the restaurant, the performance when plating the dish, etc., may be popular among younger people, but maybe the hype from social media and the press raised our expectations too high.

I walked from Sakaisuji-Honmachi Station. I visited on a holiday afternoon. The menu includes one type of French toast, ice cream, drinks, and baked goods. I ordered two Souffle Pancakes for 1350 yen each. The description says, "French toast made with carefully selected ingredients and the aroma of vanilla. It is baked slowly until golden brown and served hot. Topped with brioche. Served with maple syrup, caramel, strawberry compote, and whipped cream." I also had hot tea for 650 yen and orange juice for 650 yen. It was very delicious.

May 5, 2023. This is my first visit. With the situation around COVID calming down, I decided to take a trip to Osaka during Golden Week. I was looking for a sweets shop near the hotel I was staying at, and I came across this shop. Even from a distance, I could tell it was the place because of the line forming outside. I didn't do much research, but I had a gut feeling that this place was my style, so I decided to check it out. It turns out that this place is popular for its "Souffle French Toast," and the seating area was full, so the staff informed me that there would be a wait. The way they explained it and the deep bow at the end, almost like their forehead and knees were touching? It was so deep that it caught me by surprise (probably a joke about the bowing. Osaka is amazing!). While the French Toast caught my attention, I decided to get a cake to go since I didn't want to cut into my sightseeing time in Osaka. I bought a cake that looked like cheese, almost like something out of an anime. It was a steamed cheesecake with fromage blanc mousse. The combination of smoothness and fluffiness was interesting. I usually don't think to buy cheesecake, not that I dislike it, but it can get heavy or I can get tired of it halfway through. However, this cheesecake was light and easy to eat, and I couldn't stop myself from taking another bite. The price is a bit on the higher side, but the staff provided excellent service and the shop and sweets were adorable. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you for the meal! (*´ω`*)♪

I'm glad I went! The customer service was bright, energetic, and fun. The smell when they brought the French toast was really nice. At first it was fluffy and puffed up, but it deflated in a few minutes. You can add ice cream, and there are 3 types of sauces. You can enjoy changing the taste as you eat.

I'm looking for a place where I can enjoy a rich cheesecake and coffee while relaxing at the shop. Here is my evaluation from that perspective:
[Cheesecake] (The purpose was cheesecake, but it was sold out. Too bad, entering around 1 pm on a holiday with a 1-hour wait is too late. Next time! But if you eat in, you have to order French toast, so maybe I'll just get it to go.)
[Other than cheesecake]
Ambiance: ★★★☆☆
Price: ★★★☆☆ (Apparently, if you order French toast, you'll be called in about 30 minutes. It's very crowded, so it's a convenient system. You can't really relax, but the staff, like theme park or Takarazuka performers, are interesting and everyone is smiling, so that's good.)

- French toast 1500 yen
- Hot coffee 500 yen

The staff are really funny. The French toast was fluffy and delicious! The baked goods I bought as souvenirs were also excellent! The canelé was so delicious that I wish I could go there more often to buy it!

French Market Osaka Sakaisuji Hommachi - I had heard rumors about it, but even on a weekday, there was a long line! It's so popular! The French toast was fluffy and creamy, it was delicious. It's fun to try different combinations with ice cream, jam, and more. I ran out of French toast so I ended up just eating the sauce alone, but even on its own, it was so delicious. The staff had a great personality (complimenting). I bet it would be even more fun with friends (I went alone).

I thought the customer service performance was entertaining and wonderful! However, the cost performance is honestly not great. With the one drink policy, you end up spending at least around 2000 yen. The French toast is delicious, and the syrup and other sauces have a good taste, but due to the size of the French toast, I ended up finishing it without using up all the sauce.

I saw it on Twitter and decided to go for the cheesecake, but when I arrived, there was a long line. They asked if I wanted to eat inside, so I waited outside. I had planned to order the French toast if I ate inside, so I decided to get the cheesecake for takeout. After waiting for 2-30 minutes, I finally got inside, only to find out that the cheesecake was sold out since early morning. So, I ended up buying just some canelés and went home. They were delicious, with a fluffy bread-like texture. But overall, I felt a bit unsatisfied with the experience.

☑Cheesecake 700☑Canelé from French Market 300
When dining in, it is mandatory to order the Soufflé Pain Perdu and French Toast. Only counter seats are available. Spending time inside feels like being in a theme park, with cheerful and high-energy customer service that will make you smile. This is one of my favorite restaurants that I visit every year. On this day, I arrived shortly after they opened and it was mostly women customers, so I decided to get my order to go due to the full seating. The Cheesecake I had this time had a fragrance of original farm citrus and ripe Nanko Ume, Parfum de M, and plum perfume. It tasted even better than the last time I had it, with a smooth and light texture that melts in your mouth. The appearance is whiter than the typical Tom and Jerry holey cheesecake. The Canelé is a limited item available from October to early May, made with Madagascar vanilla and fermented butter, with a hint of rum. Even after half a day, the outside remains crispy while the inside is chewy. At only 300 yen, this Canelé is a steal and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Canelés and baked sweets for takeout were delicious. The canelé had a crunchy outer layer and a light inside, which was very tasty. The pudding and baked sweets were moist and rich, making them very delicious. The French toast was quite popular on Saturdays, so there was a long line. The seating was limited, so be prepared to wait if you want to try the French toast. The staff were friendly and lovely.

There were various sauces to accompany the food, which was great for changing up the flavors. The staff provided customer service similar to theme park cast members, making it a fun brunch experience. The canelé I took out was also delicious. If you plan to visit on a holiday, it might be better to have some extra time on hand.

Despite going during the usual opening hours, we had to wait for over an hour. The cooking time for each dish is long and there are not many seats, so the turnover is quite slow. However, the French toast is so delicious that it's worth the wait. It's crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Although it's a bit pricey, it's definitely worth trying at least once.

I arrived 20 minutes before opening on a weekday and there was already a couple waiting. Soon after, more people started lining up, and by the time they opened, there was a line of over 10 people. Even on a weekday, it's impressive to see so many people waiting. I ordered French toast with ice cream on the side, and a coffee milk to drink. The French toast was incredibly thick and fluffy, and I couldn't believe how well it absorbed the flavors. It came with maple syrup, milk jam, strawberry sauce, and a cute little bowl of whipped cream. The attention to detail in not just the taste, but also the presentation, the staff's performance, and the service made this popular restaurant truly outstanding.
