Since I wanted to have some drinks for dinner, I was looking for a hotel within walking distance to various restaurants, and the station area is indeed convenient. Due to the Inter High event, rooms around Asahikawa Station were fully booked and the prices for business hotels were quite high, but I had no other choice. This hotel doesn't have a breakfast venue, so instead, they utilize the buffet restaurant on the 4th floor of the nearby Aeon mall for breakfast. This restaurant also operates as a buffet restaurant for lunch and dinner, but in the morning, it seems to be exclusively for hotel guests. They offer tourist-friendly dishes such as soup curry, zangi (fried chicken), imomochi (potato cake), and crab soup, as well as Asahikawa specialties like soy sauce yakisoba and chicken nishiyaki. I wasn't expecting much, but the variety of dishes and the opportunity to experience the local cuisine made me quite satisfied!

The buffet breakfast included in the JR Inn stay was decent. The restaurant was managed by an older lady, and customers were given a tray to use for selecting food. The best dish was the dashi tea porridge, but the boiled eggs and natto were not that great. The fried chicken was average, and the meat was a bit tough. Overall, it was a buffet that was worth the price, with decent value for money.

I chose Grand Farm Buffet for my last dining out in my 40s. They were having a "Korean Fair" and I had been there for lunch before, but this time I went for dinner. They had Cheese Dakgalbi which wasn't available during lunch time. The place was packed with customers. Even as a real solo gourmet, I prefer a bustling atmosphere at buffet restaurants. Reading Google reviews, some say that they must serve delicious food to all 100 customers, and there is a waitress with a bad attitude. However, I have been going there monthly for about 2 years, sometimes even three times a month, and I have never encountered such a tasteless dish or a waitress with a bad attitude. I believe it's because of my good deeds and humble personality that I have only encountered friendly waitresses. It was a fantastic dining experience. Thank you very much.

Asahikawa City, Miyashitadori 7-chome. A buffet restaurant located on the 4th floor of AEON Mall Asahikawa Station Front. I haven't been here in about 5 years. This is my first review, but I have had a drinking party with friends before, with the all-you-can-drink option. It's filling and you can drink plenty, but it didn't really feel like a drinking party. This time, I went for dinner on a weekday. It was quite busy on this day, with reservations from inbound tourists for dinner. I arrived after 6 pm and there was a waiting list after 6:30 pm. I ordered the "Weekday Dinner" (1,649 yen), "Sushi All-You-Can-Eat" (384 yen), and "Drink Bar" (263 yen). I used a coupon from the Tabelog app for a 100 yen discount. They were having a "Korean Fair" for a limited time, so I focused on those dishes. The Jjimdak, Tteokbokki, and Korean-style cold noodles were delicious. The Cheese Dakgalbi involved putting warm cheese on top by yourself. I alternated with udon and salad to balance the flavors. I'm not a big fan of desserts or cakes, but the soft-serve ice cream was good. The sushi all-you-can-eat included 8 types: salmon, squid, crab salad, shrimp mayo, octopus, tuna, steamed shrimp, and simmered conger eel. It's an additional charge, so you get a nameplate-like thing from the staff to order. I love sushi, but since the buffet already has plenty of food, maybe there's no need to specifically order sushi here. Buffets are nice once in a while, and it seems like the food has gotten better compared to before, but this kind of meal is really something you should have only occasionally... (laughs).

I visited the Grand Farm Buffet at Ion Mall Asahikawa Station for the first time in two years. The main purpose was, of course, the all-you-can-eat melon! Had breakfast at a buffet-style restaurant in JR Inn. Arrived around 7:00 with my wife. This place offers all-you-can-eat buffet within the operating hours of AEON. We put our breakfast tickets in the box at the entrance, grabbed our plates, and sat at a table. The variety of vegetables was impressive. They also had Asahikawa specialties like "shinko-yaki" and "Asahikawa soy sauce yakisoba," which was nice. The price was reasonable at ¥1,600. I went for seconds on the shinko-yaki and soy sauce yakisoba. The nameko mushrooms and autumn salmon were delicious too! It was a satisfying meal!

Korosuke learned how to make reservations through Tabelog and Hot Pepper Gourmet! They used T-points for payment and earned more T-points! Although there was no special fair going on this time, the curry selection was great, and the pizza and gratin were excellent. They also had hot and sour noodles available. Plus, you can drink oolong tea without ordering the drink bar! However, as a seemingly British gentleman, I ordered the drink bar to enjoy some black tea. Overall, I had a great dining experience. You also clean up your dishes as you eat, so the table doesn't get cluttered. The food overall was delicious. I highly recommend the "Ankake Yakisoba," "Croquette," and "Simmered Hamburger." The "Ramen with Flavored Egg" was also good. I heard the soft-serve ice cream is delicious, but I had to pass due to being full. There are several buffet-style restaurants in the area, but many have narrow seating spaces, making it inconvenient to get food. This place, however, is clean and has spacious seating, which is nice. I would definitely come back."

In December 2022, I received 5 coupon vouchers from a hotel, but since I rarely use them, I ended up accumulating 5 of them. I thought, why not try using them once? So, one evening, I decided to go and use the vouchers. It was a weekday evening, and using the coupon allowed me to choose 5 pieces of sushi for free and get a 200 yen discount on drinks. I opted for the all-you-can-drink alcohol option. When I arrived, there were various dishes available, but nothing really caught my eye. I tried the ankake yakisoba, mapo tofu, shumai, and karaage. The beer was poured into a soft drink glass because I couldn't find a beer mug, and it ended up overflowing with foam. I later found the beer mugs in the fridge next to me. The taste of the food was like Chinese-style dishes you would find at a Japanese-Chinese restaurant. The sushi looked like supermarket sushi and didn't seem very appetizing. I went for another round of mapo tofu and fried rice, creating a mapo fried rice dish, but the Chinese-style taste was consistent. The fried chicken was tough, and the curry with hamburger toppings was an interesting choice, but my stomach was already full by then. For dessert, I had soft-serve ice cream and coffee to finish the meal. If this was breakfast, I would have been satisfied with a manga-style meal with miso soup, sausages, and a raw egg. Overall, I didn't feel motivated to visit the restaurant again. Thank you for the meal.

They had a decent variety of dishes, mostly carb-based, but I was satisfied with the amount I ate. I also added the sushi option, but that was a mistake. You can enjoy the meal just fine without the option.

They are currently having a Korean fair, with dishes like Chapchae, Chijimi, Jjigae, Bulgogi, Takkopse (chicken, hormone, shrimp stew), Pokkunpa (kimchi fried rice), Yukkejang noodles, and more. The Takkopse was quite salty with a sweet miso flavor. The onion and sausage pizza was quite warm... but they were quick with refills. The mapo tofu had a unique taste with red miso, and the Kimbap was not very flavorful, lacking sesame oil and feeling like it was just taken out of the fridge. There is a limited-time "Black Soft Serve" which was a bit hard and difficult to squeeze out. It had a squid ink-like color but tasted slightly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. The drinks selection was varied and you can customize your own drinks. Families with kids might enjoy the experience.
