This is the 2,000th review. A restaurant located next to the greenery-filled "Maruyama Park". It is a lovely Western-style building created with the image of architecture in the northeast of France. A popular French restaurant selected for "French Top 100 EAST 2021", I made a reservation and visited for a holiday lunch. I reserved the "Alsace" course (9,075 yen including tax and service charge). We also requested the "Pairing" wine (7,865 yen). First, the "white wine Luberon" was poured as the course began. The appetizer was "Vichyssoise and Rillettes". Next was "Corn Bavarois and Herb-marinated Shrimp" ... The Bavarois finished with a rich corn broth, topped with consommé, the aroma of corn is irresistible. "White wine Sancerre", "Fried Conger Eel and Tabouleh, Red Pepper Mousse" ... The conger eel fritters are tender. The red pepper mousse is smooth, and the couscous sprinkled with vegetables is delicious. "Rose wine Zweigelt", "Pan-seared Sea Bass and Stuffed Squid, Bouillabaisse-style" ... This is said to go well with the Mediterranean atmosphere of the rose. The Bouillabaisse sauce is poured on the spot. The sea bass is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Bouillabaisse sauce mixes nicely. "Red wine Burgundy", "Charcoal-grilled Takigawa Duck and Roasted Onion Sauce" ... "It's still in the middle of cooking." First, they show you the lid of the pot. It is said to be inspired by a barbecue. Afterwards, it is transferred to a plate, topped with onion and bamboo charcoal sauce, and when you cut into it, the meat juice is plentiful. We were able to enjoy the soft and flavorful umami. All the vegetables are also charcoal-grilled. The small dessert was "Hibiscus Jelly". "White wine Gewurztraminer", "Pineapple Baba with a hint of Yoichi" ... A classic French baked confection, similar to Savarin. The rich aroma of whiskey is irresistible. Whiskey-soaked pineapple and orange sorbet are also included. "Coffee" ... For drinks, you can choose from coffee, tea, espresso, or herbal tea, so I chose "Herbal Tea". I will enjoy it with raspberry macarons and financiers. The service here is fantastic!! The explanations of the dishes and wines are appropriate, and the staff casually bring up topics that guests may find interesting, allowing us to have a fun time. I think this is a wonderful French restaurant in terms of food, wine, service, atmosphere, and location!!
