I visited for lunch! There are two parking lots, and it seemed like I could park in either one. There are seats on the first and second floors, with tables and tatami mats to choose from. This time, I chose a table seat. I had the Unaju Matsuko course for 5400 yen. It was so fluffy. It felt like it was steamed a little at the end, so it was very tender. I also sprinkled plenty of sansho pepper on it. For those who want it with extra sauce, they also provide extra sauce so you can enjoy the rice soaked in sauce. It takes a little time for the food to come out, but it's worth the wait. It was very delicious.

For lunch, I had eel♡♡ I went a week later to avoid the crowded day of the ox. I had the Hitsumabushi for 5,400 yen, and added the medium-sized Una-Jyu for an extra 2,600 yen. The sauce was not too sweet or too spicy, just right. The fluffy and fragrant eel was elegant and delicious. I planned to eat slowly but ended up eating it all at once (^^;) It was a moment of happiness haha. The medium-sized Una-Jyu was generous in portion, so I enjoyed it fully. Even eating pickles little by little while waiting made me happy.

When I feel like eating eel, I often come here. There are parking lots in front of the shop and diagonally across the road (there is also a paid parking lot diagonally), so it's easy to get there by car. This time, my friends and I were talking about wanting to eat eel slowly while drinking alcohol, so we visited the next day. The second-floor seats are semi-private with tatami mats, so you can eat and drink leisurely. The liver grill was limited to two per person. We enjoyed liver grill and grilled eel while drinking alcohol from noon, and finished with a small serving of eel bowl as we had been eating and drinking. It was a happy holiday to relax and enjoy eel from noon.

I don't usually eat eel, but today I was tempted by a friend and ended up visiting this popular restaurant. I arrived at a good time, but afterwards everyone was being turned away. I ordered the eel rice bowl, and it was delicious, but personally I felt it was too much food (a luxurious problem, maybe...). The plump eel and sweet sauce on the rice paired well together. It made me feel grateful to have been born Japanese. However, it was too much food. I struggled to finish it. The taste was undeniably good, so next time I'll order a smaller portion! Unfortunately, my battery died so I couldn't take a picture of the eel. Thank you for the meal! 😊

It has been hot lately, so I came with my favorite person, Futaba. We rarely come here, so we indulged in "Unagi Hitsumabushi Matsui". We also had "Shirayaki" and beer! Unagi tastes delicious on a hot day! The Shirayaki really brings out the flavor of the eel. Shirayaki goes well with beer. The unagi in the Hitsumabushi is thick and juicy. When you pour the extra sauce over it, the rice becomes even more delicious. I think I'm going to be hooked on unagi this summer.

I don't usually have the habit of eating eel, but I treated my father to it on Father's Day. We had to wait for about 20 minutes, probably because it was a Sunday. We ordered the medium-ranked eel from the menu, as requested by my father. It took about 20 minutes for the eel to be served, but it was worth the wait as we enjoyed delicious and beautifully presented eel. Thank you for the meal!

It was like eating eel in a normal way. You can feel a little bit of bones and a slight smell. They serve it like they're trying to cover something up, but it feels a bit diluted. It's not bad, but the atmosphere doesn't make it seem amazing.

Eel Futaba 2023 What I can do now is to support at least the food and beverage industry while being very careful. Let's all do our best together! First gathering: Day drinking near the hotel by myself for a quick pregame. Checked out a long-established eel restaurant that I had been eyeing for a while, called "Unagi Futaba." It was my first time visiting. They offer takeout and delivery. Located in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, right near Cabin Sapporo. The exterior is a stylish two-story building with black walls. Inside, it's clean with four 4-person table seats on the first floor, two 4-person table seats in a raised area, and I didn't check the second floor. Recommended dishes: - Grilled white eel: 2,600 yen (tax included) - Grilled short fin eel: 680 yen (tax included) - Grilled liver: 420 yen (tax included) - Staff meal: 1,600 yen (tax included) - Sapporo beer: 590 yen each (tax included) All eels are domestically sourced from Kyushu, Shizuoka, and other regions. The white eel is steamed and grilled in the Kanto style, crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside, light and delicious. It's cooked over binchotan charcoal after ordering, making it very tasty. I enjoyed it with soy sauce and pink rock salt. The pace of eating was so fast that the staff laughed at me. The service was excellent, very pleasant and welcoming. I love eel and sushi forever, and I feel like I could keep drinking endlessly. I will definitely come back for more eel! Eel Futaba - Business hours: 11:00-20:00 (no break) - Closed on Tuesdays

I entered the restaurant at the same time as it opened for a lunch reservation to celebrate the president of a long-time business partner. We were seated on the 2nd floor. It was a reunion since my return, so we reminisced while enjoying some delicious eel on rice. The cute stacked eel dish was topped with a slightly sweet sauce, and the fluffy eel was very tasty. It's a restaurant that I rarely have the chance to visit, but it was a luxurious lunch right after my return. Thank you for the meal~

I visited the restaurant in the afternoon the other day. I was able to get in right away, maybe because it was a little late. There were a few parking spaces in front of the store and a few more in a slightly distant location. The restaurant is two stories high and has a stylish atmosphere. The inside of the restaurant had a fragrant smell that made me want to eat quickly. The taste was delicious but average.

It's been a while! We had an early dinner on the weekend. There was only one group of customers before us. A friend from Honshu wanted to eat eel, so we visited for the first time in a while. The eel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I also learned for the first time that there are different types of eel liver soup with pine needles and bamboo.笑

Had a business lunch with a client at Futaba, a place known for eel dishes. The restaurant was spacious and had a calm atmosphere, fitting for a long-standing establishment. The eel was soft and tender, and the sauce had a refreshing sweetness. They also offered extra sauce for those who prefer a stronger flavor. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

It's my first visit on a Saturday, and I have the day off!! My wife is out of town (lol) but I can't stay out too late because of Hana-chan. So, I decided to have a quick drink and visit Susukino! I've been craving eel for a while now, so I came to Unagi Futaba. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite nice, and I was surprised. When I entered, I told them I was dining alone and was seated on the second floor. It's Saturday afternoon, and it seemed like there were more people working than drinking. But that didn't stop me from enjoying a beer... you don't have to drink a lot to have a good time. I checked the menu and chose the eel bowl, probably the cheapest eel dish they have. But that's all I needed. And of course, I also ordered a draft beer. The beer arrived quickly, along with the pickles that come with the eel bowl. It was a nice touch. Drinking beer in the afternoon... why does it taste so good (lol) The pickles were just the right amount of salty and made a great snack. As I waited and drank my beer, the eel bowl arrived. The size of the eel was a bit disappointing, you could see a lot of rice. But when I tasted it, the eel was delicious. The ratio of rice to eel was a bit off, but the taste was satisfying. The eel liver was also delicious! Eel and beer... always a great combination! I'm going to hit up one more place before heading home. Next stop, noodles (lol) It was delicious! Thank you for the meal♪

As expected from a long-standing establishment. The food is good. However, the good taste is overshadowed by the service. Excuse me, waiter. There's still beer in that glass, you know? What's the rush to clear it away? It was true that it was close to closing time, but still. It seems like closing up the store is more important than the customers. It's a characteristic of a place where customers come regardless of what they do. Will I visit again? Of course not.

I ordered the "Unaju" and "Oku no Matsu" sake, which cost 4990 yen in total. The "Unaju" came with eel liver, a classic taste that combines elegance and richness. The rice was cooked perfectly, with a nice texture. The "Oku no Matsu" sake was dry and paired well with the eel. It was so good that I ended up drinking half of it in one go. I visited around 2 pm on a holiday, and only had to wait for about 5-10 minutes despite it being close to Obon season. The restaurant mainly had 4-person tables, and it seemed to be popular among families.

This is Unajyu Matsuya. It was smaller and less fluffy than I had imagined or heard. I was also bothered by the lingering fishy smell in my throat. However, everyone seemed to enjoy it and there were good reviews, so maybe it was just me. The staff seemed busy or maybe they were new, as they ignored me when I tried to get their attention. It was crowded, but I felt like I made a mistake by coming here after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

The eel is nicely grilled and tender, with a lightly sweet and refreshing sauce that doesn't get you tired of eating it. I really love the unagi (eel) rice bowl here. I ordered the Unaju Matsutake for 3 people. However, when I went on the day of the midsummer day of the Ox, the service was a bit disappointing. I knew they didn't take reservations, but I called ahead to confirm the situation and was told they were still accepting orders. However, when I arrived just 10 minutes later, they told me they were sold out of eel already. I wish they had been more clear on the phone if they had limited portions. I had to wait in line and write my name on a waiting list. The wait was about 30 minutes, so I asked if I could wait in my car with my family, who found it difficult to stand and wait. When it was almost my turn, I got out of the car to wait, but was told again that they were no longer accepting orders. It was a bit disappointing that they seemed to forget about customers they had spoken to directly. Although it was a very busy day, a little more consideration would have made the experience more satisfying. When it came time to pay, although I didn't ask for it, I received change in clean bills. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the person handling the payment. The food is delicious and I consider this restaurant a longstanding establishment in the city. I hope for better experiences in the future.

I visited Sapporo for the first time in four months. This time, I wanted to soak in a hot spring, so I stayed at a natural hot spring near Susukino. While exploring the area, I found this restaurant and decided to try it. It was a Sunday night, but it wasn't crowded and we were able to get in easily. I had eel rice bowl and grilled chicken liver, both of which were delicious. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Every year on our anniversary, we make it a tradition to eat unagi (eel) rice bowl, and this time we visited this restaurant for the first time. There are only 2-3 parking spots in front of the store. Since it was a weekday, we were able to get seated right away without a reservation. The interior of the restaurant has a calming Japanese atmosphere with bamboo elements, it is clean and lovely. We ordered the bamboo (3/4 portion) unagi rice bowl. It came with pickles and eel liver. The sauce is served separately so you can drizzle it according to your taste. The grilling was fragrant, the eel was tender, and the unagi rice bowl was delicious. There were a few more small bones than I would have liked, but overall, we were satisfied with the portion size.

This was our mistake for going during a time when eel is not in season... The difference between "pine" and "bamboo" is not the size of the eel, but the quantity, so we ordered the eel rice bowl with bamboo as we also wanted to try the grilled eel. When we put our chopsticks into the grilled eel, it crumbled apart so easily. Just like the eel rice bowl, it's important to choose the right season to enjoy it.
