Located a 3-minute walk from Asagaya Station, this popular yakiniku restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 yakiniku restaurants on Tabelog in 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018, and also received the Tabelog Award Bronze in 2023. This time, we chose the Akami Special Course for 20,000 yen. The menu includes three types of appetizers, beef stew, kimchi salad, akami tare, Miyazaki fillet, akami shio ichibo, uchimomo, Kobe beef rib roast, special fillet ski, thick-cut Chateaubriand, noodle to finish, and dessert. The appetizer, beef stew, was so rich and delicious that it could have been a main dish on its own. The staff perfectly cooked the meat to the right level. The uchimomo was a refreshing lean part that paired well with the special spice. The Miyazaki fillet was incredibly tender and the sweetness of the red meat matched the sweetness of the sauce perfectly. The ichibo had a nice tenderness and bite, complemented well by wasabi soy sauce and mustard sauce. The Kobe beef rib roast with its rich marbling was very appetizing and paired excellently with garlic soy sauce. The special fillet ski, a type of egg to try, was incredibly tender and sweet, melting in the mouth with the egg. And then there was the Chateaubriand, a very thick piece of meat that was slowly cooked to perfection. It was served on top of butter sauce on rice, topped with uni, creating a luxurious and delicious combination. The butter sauce and the richness of the Chateaubriand meat paired wonderfully, creating an exceptional dish. The uni added a perfect accent. It was the most delicious meat I've ever had. I learned that Chateaubriand is also fillet meat. After the Chateaubriand, we had salt ramen as a finishing touch. It was a refreshing salt ramen that went down smoothly. Finally, we had pistachio ice cream to cleanse the palate. It was a bit sad to reset the palate after the Chateaubriand. I had been looking forward to this restaurant for a long time and it did not disappoint. The premium course provided satisfaction beyond its price. I will definitely make a reservation again to enjoy the sublime meat. This time, I had the honor of using it as my 1500th review on Tabelog. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
