SATO BRIAN in Asagaya, a holy land of yakiniku that has left countless legends, has 29 rooms. I have been going there for 7 years. I have countless memories from the 29 rooms. Most of the original members have retired from Tabelog, which is sad in a way, but the organizer Torataro, who was there on my first visit, has actually powered up and is even more reliable now, haha. There are currently 6 stores in Asagaya. The 29 rooms have also been relocated and renewed. I can't visit as often as I used to, but this place is still full of memories for me. Originally known for Kyushu wagyu, recently President Sato has been frequently visiting the Kobe market to secure routes for award-winning Kobe beef and Tajima beef, and the evolution continues. On this day, the finest meats welcomed me once again ♡ It had been a while since I went, and there were only new staff members whom I didn't know, so I thought the homely feeling from before was gone... but wait! President Sato himself came to cook for us as a surprise! I was truly moved by this!! The new staff members were all very friendly, and I quickly regained that homely feeling, haha. On this day, we had the usual special course. From Tajima beef tongue and harami to a course mainly focused on lean meat, with additions like Kobe beef rib roast and a new beef bowl, it was a luxurious lineup! The fillet suki, brisket sandwich, and brisket uni rice were dreamy no matter how many times I ate them. While other restaurants are raising prices one after another, it's amazing that this place has remained almost the same as when I first started going. I hope it continues to be my yakiniku holy land forever.

I went to Gousan at SATO BRIAN in Asagaya with my friend. The restaurant had been under renovation until last month, and we were excited to visit as they reopened for business in the autumn. We chose the straightforward course and enjoyed the delicious yakiniku at SATO BRIAN without any worries!! The carefully selected meats were as delicious as ever!! By the time we tried the three SATO BRIAN specialties - Buri Meshi, Buri Katsu, and Buri Sukiyaki - our stomachs and hearts were completely satisfied with the taste and portion size!! When I mentioned to the staff that I had previously had the owner, Sato-san, cook for me at their affiliated restaurant, Shichiban, a few minutes later, Sato-san himself came to greet me despite the busy weekend night, and I was deeply moved!! I was truly delighted by the staff's thoughtful actions! I thought that it is this kind of thoughtful service that earns this restaurant such strong support. To all the staff at SATO BRIAN, thank you for providing another enjoyable experience!

The staff at the restaurant carefully prepared delicious beef, and I was amazed by every dish, but I could tell that they carefully selected and cooked each piece of meat. I actually got full halfway through, but when the waiter brought out the next dish, I couldn't resist the delicious appearance and ended up taking multiple bites.

We had the special course in a private room on the second floor with 3 people♪ The full bottle of wine was reasonably priced! The private room also had a restroom! We liked the second serving of lean meat and the consecutive rice at the end✨ We got the katsu sandwich to go! All the meat was tender!! The course portion was quite generous. We felt rushed eating in 2 hours. Overall, it was quite rich. The aroma of matsutake mushrooms was also nice♪ Maybe a smaller course would have been better? The staff cooked everything for us and were polite! We had a great time♫ Note: 2 out of 3 people had stomach aches afterwards (tears)

I had made a reservation a long time ago and finally, the day has come... I splurged on the special course. When it's special, you have to go for the special option, right? Both the yellowtail sashimi and yellowtail cutlet sandwich were included in the special course... I know my vocabulary is lacking, but everything was just amazing... Words are not necessary when it comes to delicious food. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water... I will treat myself again someday for sure!

I arrived at 5 pm! They accept card payments! I managed to snag a reservation at a usually fully booked restaurant, so I went! Here, the staff grill all the meat for you, and they recommend eating it this way! This place has a wide variety of dipping sauces, and I've never come across such a delicious restaurant before, but this place was amazing! It was the best yakiniku I've ever had! Especially the special spices and the Tate cut, which has a strong redness in the fillet, were incredibly delicious! The course was 16,500 yen, but the portion size was huge, and the quality made it seem like a great deal!

After several years, I visited SATO BRIAN in Asagaya. Last time, we were seated at a table as there were two of us, but this time we got a private room. The food was just delicious. Incredibly delicious. The meat was so tender that it could be cut with chopsticks. The beef stew that came out first seemed like it had been simmering for about a month, it was so tender and tasty. We had red meat dishes followed by a pork cutlet sandwich, and finished with cold noodles. It had been a while since I had such delicious cold noodles with such tasty broth. It's rare for me to be so impressed at a yakiniku restaurant, but SATO BRIAN truly impressed me. I even got the magical spice powder, known as "spice," as a souvenir to enjoy BRIAN at home. No wonder it's so hard to get a reservation here, haha.

Once you're over 50, you tend to stay away from meat, but sometimes you crave it. When that happens, the meat here is just right. You can order marbled meat, but if you order lean meat, you can eat until the end without feeling heavy. All the meat has no fat or sinew, so there's no need to grit your teeth and cut the meat. It's a truly impressive meat experience.

I made a reservation a month and a half ago and arrived at 5:00 PM. Since having a wonderful experience at the main store, I decided to conquer all the stores in the series, so I visited Nigou. The appetizer stew tasted just like the Western-style restaurant I visited in Hong Kong decades ago, bringing back old memories. The grilled dishes were all excellent, and the rice was a seasonal dish of corn cooked rice, giving a sense of the season.

I enjoyed a satisfying amount of meat with a limited-time course. The meat was delicious without being too heavy, and the service from the staff was just right, allowing me to enjoy my meal. Especially the sandwich was so delicious that I couldn't resist even though I was already full~~ I'm glad I was able to visit Asagaya, which I don't often go to.

It had a more homely atmosphere than I expected. The staff grilled the meat for us attentively. The friendly service with a bright attitude was very good. The main dish of grilled rice with yellowtail was unbelievably delicious. I want to eat it again. The summer limited corn rice was also delicious, I even had seconds.

The adjective "beautiful" perfectly describes the meat. The cutting is clean, so the meat is delicious (I think). The katsu sandwich was unbelievably delicious...♡ Everything I ate was delicious, the staff was funny and friendly, and they cooked it perfectly. A long-awaited experience. The course consisted of meat → meat → meat → rice → bread → rice → noodles. Of course, the meat was incredibly delicious, but the design that allows you to indulge in the guilt of wanting both meat and carbohydrates to the fullest extent is fantastic. It's expensive, but not as expensive as I thought. I will definitely go again.

I want to conquer them all because it's great to have multiple delicious restaurants and I truly appreciate their efforts. The reasonably priced wine is also a nice touch. I highly recommend visiting! About a month ago, I made a reservation for two for the OMAKASE course at SATO Burian Nigou (7 meat dishes) priced at 15,800 yen per person. The meal included various dishes like kimchi, salad, premium tongue, thick-cut top-grade harami, two types of lean meat, wagyu sirloin, special fillet suki, premium A5 Chateaubriand, and more. Brian-san, who has always been at the top of yakiniku. Since it's a special occasion, we opted for the premium course. The restaurant operates on a time limit, so we grilled the meat vigorously. Incredibly tender, not greasy at all. It goes down smoothly. They are particular about their ingredients.

I ordered a special course mini for my girlfriend's birthday. At first, the pace of the appetizers and meat dishes was very fast, so I wished they would slow down a bit. However, once we got to the Chateaubriand, they waited for us to finish eating properly. It wasn't just greasy and vulgar meat, but the taste was wonderful. The non-meat items like beef stew and cold noodles were also perfect. I was really looking forward to it and set my expectations high, but the quality exceeded them. For an average girl, I think the mini course would be enough. She seemed quite full. I don't usually give such high ratings, but I think this restaurant deserves it. The only reason I deducted 0.1 point was because I was surprised by the speed of the initial pace!

Finally visited SATO Buriyan! I had a luxurious time enjoying so many Chateaubriands. The staff mentioned that our portion was large, and it was indeed voluminous - the last pasta was a struggle...! The hospitality of the staff was lovely. The private restroom in the second-floor private room was also an impressive point. 😊

Located a 3-minute walk from Asagaya Station, this popular yakiniku restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 yakiniku restaurants on Tabelog in 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018, and also received the Tabelog Award Bronze in 2023. This time, we chose the Akami Special Course for 20,000 yen. The menu includes three types of appetizers, beef stew, kimchi salad, akami tare, Miyazaki fillet, akami shio ichibo, uchimomo, Kobe beef rib roast, special fillet ski, thick-cut Chateaubriand, noodle to finish, and dessert. The appetizer, beef stew, was so rich and delicious that it could have been a main dish on its own. The staff perfectly cooked the meat to the right level. The uchimomo was a refreshing lean part that paired well with the special spice. The Miyazaki fillet was incredibly tender and the sweetness of the red meat matched the sweetness of the sauce perfectly. The ichibo had a nice tenderness and bite, complemented well by wasabi soy sauce and mustard sauce. The Kobe beef rib roast with its rich marbling was very appetizing and paired excellently with garlic soy sauce. The special fillet ski, a type of egg to try, was incredibly tender and sweet, melting in the mouth with the egg. And then there was the Chateaubriand, a very thick piece of meat that was slowly cooked to perfection. It was served on top of butter sauce on rice, topped with uni, creating a luxurious and delicious combination. The butter sauce and the richness of the Chateaubriand meat paired wonderfully, creating an exceptional dish. The uni added a perfect accent. It was the most delicious meat I've ever had. I learned that Chateaubriand is also fillet meat. After the Chateaubriand, we had salt ramen as a finishing touch. It was a refreshing salt ramen that went down smoothly. Finally, we had pistachio ice cream to cleanse the palate. It was a bit sad to reset the palate after the Chateaubriand. I had been looking forward to this restaurant for a long time and it did not disappoint. The premium course provided satisfaction beyond its price. I will definitely make a reservation again to enjoy the sublime meat. This time, I had the honor of using it as my 1500th review on Tabelog. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Straightforward course. The salted tongue was delicious. It had a thickness that allowed you to taste the umami, seasoned with spices, green onion salt, and lemon mustard. Also, the harami was tasty, but the kalbi was even better. No matter what you pair it with, the garlic soy sauce dressing is delicious. The marbled beef with plenty of grated daikon and ponzu sauce is easy to eat even for those who don't like fatty meat. The yellowtail rice bowl and yellowtail cutlet sandwich are undoubtedly delicious. Makes you want to eat them in a bowl. The sirloin sukiyaki with sweet sauce and rich egg yolk is perfect with rice. While you can eat Chateaubriand anywhere, the cost performance here is truly outstanding. If only there were a restaurant with this kind of cost performance in Nagoya...
