I bought two "Sanseidono" for dinner at "Shion" on the basement 1st floor of Daimaru Sapporo store. It's a seafood bowl with crab, sea urchin, and salmon roe, with kelp and seaweed on the side. It's a little luxury, but worth it.

I tried the Sapporo seafood bento. It looks very luxurious!! The seafood included sweet shrimp, crab, salmon roe, sea urchin, ark shell, scallop, surf clam, and salmon. The sweet shrimp comes with both head-on and headless options, and the head-on ones are very large! The crab comes in both shredded meat and leg parts, so you can enjoy two different textures. Every bite was delicious and I didn't get tired of it.

This day was completely unplanned, and I hadn't even arranged accommodation... Ended up heading to Obihiro, a place I have visited many times before, but unexpectedly the regular cars were full (゚Д゚) Managed to secure a Green car seat, so I bought lunch and leisurely headed there♪ So, I arrived at the Depachika of Daimaru Sapporo. They seem to specialize in seafood bento, with many reasonably priced pre-made items. However, since I was here, why not have them make a luxurious one for me~\(^^)/◆ Seafood Bento Price: 1,782 yen If you were to buy this at a Nagoya product fair, it would probably cost twice as much (゚Д゚) The large, sweet crab meat, plump and sweet Botan shrimp, and succulent scallops were especially delicious(o^^o) The sea urchin was so-so... and peeling the sweet shrimp was a bit...^^; Eating this luxurious bento while sipping alcohol and being rocked in the Green car was the ultimate luxury for a train enthusiast like me♪ Thank you for the meal (^^)

My computer broke down, but some of the data was recovered. Finally, I am able to upload some photos. It is likely that the computer was infected with a virus during the earthquake on September 6. Due to this, I may not be able to post reviews for a while. I just wanted to let you know that I am not in the hospital this time. I will like and comment as soon as I can. [October 2018] This is my second review, so I will keep it light. "Shion" is a local restaurant in Sapporo. It used to be located in Yamahana, Chuo-ku, serving seafood dishes and tile soba. Now, it has moved to Hachiken, Nishi-ku. This Daimaru store specializes in take-out seafood bowls. I went there for the "Salmon Special Bowl" that was advertised in the newspaper. It is a limited edition item, limited to 20 servings per day for 14 days from October 3rd to October 14th. I was able to get one. ■Limited to 20 servings per day Salmon Special Bowl Sales period: October 3rd to October 14th for 14 days Weight: Actual measurement 420g (after deducting the bag weight) The rice base is heavier than it looks, with vinegared rice topped with shredded omelette and a mound of salmon in the center. Under the central salmon, there are pieces of salmon. The quality of the salmon is very good. Pickled ginger is placed at the edge of the rice with soy sauce and wasabi included. Price: 998 yen (tax included) The salmon in the "Salmon Special Bowl" is of high quality. It is satisfying to eat, and for 998 yen, it feels like a good deal. You can buy Daimaru's products with peace of mind. The items advertised in the newspaper really do feel like a good deal. I wonder which seafood bowl I should try next time. It was delicious, thank you.

The bento is filled with bitter sea urchin, salty seaweed, and sour rice, which I did not like.

On a certain holiday, I stopped by a takeout sushi shop located in the Sapporo Daimaru underground food market, called Hoppetown, after strolling around the city. The shop is compact with a colorful display of fresh seafood sushi. From the menu that day, I chose the "Salted Mackerel Sushi Half (756 yen)" and the "Sazanami (880 yen)". The mackerel sushi had a satisfying thickness and was well-seasoned, while the Sazanami sushi, though the toppings were small, had a good quality considering the price. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a good alternative to taking a chance at individual sushi restaurants where the quality can vary greatly. Thank you for the meal.

Sapporo Daimaru Poppetown, Shion-san. Bought the Hamanasu three-color bowl. Bowls are great, aren't they? It not only has seafood but also delicious wakame side dishes. I should have bought the mackerel sushi rolls - they must be delicious! Shion-san's store was bustling with people. It seems to be quite popular. Thank you for the meal.

【Setsubun!】Yesterday, February 3rd (Saturday) was Setsubun. Among the food departments of department stores in Sapporo, Daimaru was the most crowded. I spent about 30 minutes exploring the area and selected 3 shops and products that looked cool and had good value for money, then narrowed it down with my wife. She chose Shion at Daimaru Sapporo. The store is not very big, but it seems cooler than major department store food sections like "RF" and "Kaki". There were quite a few customers and the main focus was on "Ehomaki" (lucky direction sushi rolls). We chose the Zuwai crab roll (half) for 1,480 yen. It was 2,700 yen for a full roll. My wife is a light eater, so the half size was perfect. We took a photo at home and it looked delicious. While eating in the direction of "Nanato", my family and I ate quietly. Ehomaki is meant to be eaten in silence. I couldn't eat it myself. According to my wife, "It was very delicious." The comment is from my wife. Maybe I'll try buying it next year too. (On behalf of my wife) Thank you for the meal.

This is Sapporo Station, but I decided to take a look at the basement floor of Daimaru, which is next door, in search of a better bento box experience similar to Tokyo Station. I walked around and found that there weren't many shops selling bento boxes. I ended up purchasing a bento box from a shop called "Shiooto." The bento box I chose was the "Premium Three-color Bento Box," which was topped with plenty of crab, salmon roe, and sea urchin. Personally, I have always thought that steamed sea urchin doesn't taste like sea urchin, but this sea urchin was served fresh. I immediately decided to buy it (1,458 yen). Since there was no tea available, I bought some from a nearby shop. I am now considering stopping by Daimaru to buy bento boxes in other business trips as well.

In September 2015, I visited the food department of Daimaru Sapporo at Hoppetown. As usual, there was a huge crowd. The seafood bowl restaurant I had previously visited had changed from "Nemoto-ya" to "Shiooto". "Nemoto-ya" was a chain store with many outlets in department stores in Honshu. "Shiooto" is a local store in Sapporo. There was a restaurant in the Yamabashi area of Chuo-ku that served seafood dishes and tile soba. Now it has relocated to Hachiken in Nishi-ku. I visited with my usual companion. This restaurant is located on the first basement floor of Daimaru Sapporo, directly connected to JR Sapporo Station in Sapporo city center. For more detailed location information, please search on Tabelog. By chance, the president of "Shiooto" was there. The restaurant opened on September 1st. At the Daimaru store, they specialize in take-out seafood bowls. They do not sell popular items from the Yamabashi store such as "Jumbo crab leg tempura bowl" or "tile soba". I bought the reasonably priced "Hamanasu" seafood bowl. ■ Hamanasu weight actual measurement 374g The rice is made from Hokkaido rice and is properly seasoned with vinegar. The ingredients include crab leg meat, salmon, salmon roe, sea urchin, scallops, shrimp, kinshi tamago, mini kelp rolls, and cucumber vinegar. The pickled ginger is included. Price: 1080 yen (including 8% consumption tax) "Hamanasu" is a decent seafood bowl. I was worried about sea urchin in this type of seafood bowl, but it wasn't bad for the price. Since it is a local store in Sapporo, I want to support it. According to the president, they consolidated the store to the main store in Nishi-ku in order to open an outlet at Daimaru. The friendly lady who was at the Yamabashi store is now working in the head office. She mentioned that she would like people to visit the relocated store in Hachiken as well. I would like to try the "tile soba" for lunch at the Hachiken store. I rated it 3.9, but with support, I gave it 4.0. I wonder which seafood bowl I should try next time. It was delicious, thank you.

These past two days have been so hot that I had no appetite at all. But I knew I had to eat, so I wandered around Daimaru department store. On such a hot day, I couldn't bring myself to eat meat. Maybe I should go for fish... I decided to try the seafood bowl "Hamanasu" at Shion-san. It was delicious. I feel a little bit better now. I hope this summer ends soon!

I purchased a limited edition Shioto Kani (crab) bento box at the Hokkaido product fair at Meitetsu Department Store. The bento box is small with crab meat spread over the rice and crab legs as toppings. It is delicious.

I went to Daimaru department store to do some shopping in the evening. It took a little longer than expected, so I decided to buy dinner at the basement floor of the department store and ended up buying this colorful seafood bento. It had crab, salmon roe, sweet shrimp, scallop, salmon, whelk, surf clam, and minced tuna with green onions. It was quite filling and the taste was pretty good.

There are seafood bento boxes available at Daimaru Sapporo's basement starting from around 1,000 yen. The seafood bento box in the photo seemed to be around 2,500 yen, but I may be mistaken. It includes sea urchin, salmon roe, scallops, mussels, shrimp, hokke fish, crab, and crab meat. It's the Hokkaido seafood bento box, right?

I visited the Spring Hokkaido Food Fair at Meitetsu Department Store and tried the Shio Oto Taraba Gani Bento from Sapporo Shio Oto. It was a luxurious bento box with four large king crab legs. Although the freshness was slightly diminished in the bento box, it was still a satisfying and luxurious meal. It was a limited edition bento with only 30 available per day, so I was lucky to be able to purchase one.

I got it again this year. The seafood bowl from the Hokkaido Fair! This year, I also tried the seafood bowl from Shion, a new vendor with limited 30 servings. As soon as the store opened at 10 o'clock, I rushed to the 6th floor event hall. The shrimp, scallops, salmon, ikura, negitoro, and konbu-zuke were all generous in portion, fresh, and delicious. It's a great deal and I'm impressed. There are plenty of delicious foods out there, but nothing beats a seafood bowl. This year, we all enjoyed it together. As a bonus, I also bought a whole croquette, and looking back, there was a line of about 15 people at Shion. You have to start with a sprint at the 10 o'clock opening.

I went to the Meitetsu Department Store Hokkaido Fair again. I bought the Hokkaido Taraba King Crab and Salmon Roe Bento for 4104 yen. The crab was amazing! It was very satisfying and filling. I usually eat small portions, but this bento left me feeling full and completely satisfied. There were many different types of bentos available, and I hesitated a bit due to the prices, but it was definitely worth it.
