A manga cafe has opened at the former Nishimatsuya location. The private rooms are comfortable with keys, unlimited ice cream, and showers available. It's very convenient and offers a variety of delicious meal options. I would like to try the food next time, especially the curry selection.

"Kakkatsu Club" in Kitami is a club activity. I got tired of cleaning, so I decided to go to Kitami. Yomesan is off today, so I asked, "Do we not have to clean?" But relying on Yomesan's cleaning would just make her angry, so I will finish the rest after the year-end holidays. There is not much left, so I will do it seriously. People cannot be relied on. I asked, "Shall we go to Kitami?" which means, "Should we try a new yakiniku restaurant?" They knew I was in the mood for meat. It's still early to take the JR train, so we decided to go to "Kakkatsu Club." I knew it was there, but I didn't feel like going alone, so they understood. If it's just the two of us, we could take the bus. We pressed the button at the wrong bus stop. They like walking in the cold. They said, "If you're over 60, it's free," so I told them my age, but they said, "There's no such discount." I was embarrassed. They might be a devil. The soft serve ice cream is self-serve. It's hard to wrap it nicely in the plastic. It's cheap ice cream, but surprisingly delicious. The free sweet potato is good too. Even though I don't like sweet potatoes, I ordered beer. It's Premium Malt, so I'm happy. It was interesting. I couldn't even register as a member alone, so it was a good experience for me. The food and drink booths are really cheap. There's a karaoke room too, and it's cheaper than a karaoke box. It might be an option for staying overnight when visiting other cities. We only had one beer between the two of us, but it was less than 900 yen. It's really cheap.

I used it to do a little work. So, I registered... I'll write about it. "Kaikatsu CLUB Kitami store" is a net cafe that opened at the end of last year. I originally planned to use only the dining space, but I had extra time so I requested a private room. Of course, it comes with a computer. You can take off your shoes and relax. (laughs) They have a drink corner with soft-serve ice cream and various drinks all you can drink. They also have corn potage and miso soup. You can also order from the food menu. So, without hesitation... I had the soft-serve ice cream. The soft-serve ice cream had a crispy texture and was all-you-can-eat, which is very generous. I ended up staying for 5 hours, had 3 drinks, 2 soft-serve ice creams, and paid a flat rate of 1700 yen for the booth usage. Right now, there's no registration fee, so it's a great deal. I had a very meaningful time there.

This is a rapidly growing major internet cafe chain. It's surprising to see them come to a town like Kitami, which had a few failed internet cafes in the past. They must be a threat to the nearby competitor JOY CAFE along the national highway. The building used to be an old Alpen and then an old Nishimatsuya, so I had the impression that it was quite small, but they did a good job renovating it into a proper internet cafe. Despite being a net cafe, they had around 8 karaoke rooms, which should comfortably accommodate groups of 3-4 people. There's no darts, billiards, or table tennis, so those looking for those activities might prefer JOY CAFE. Now, onto the food review. Recently, internet cafes and karaoke spots have been offering more substantial and authentic food menus. I tried the "Katsu Curry" and "Soy Sauce Ramen." The katsu in the curry was thinly sliced but had a good crispy texture. The curry itself was decent, nothing special. The soy sauce ramen seemed to have a chicken-based broth, with a slightly subtle saltiness. It had spinach, giving it a traditional touch. The noodles were smooth and cooked just right. It was their opening day, so there were some inexperienced aspects and it was a bit crowded. Looking back at the photos, the presentation of the katsu in the curry seemed rushed. But they'll likely improve as they get more experience. When going to a place to relax or have fun, people generally don't expect top-notch cuisine, but it's impressive to see even non-specialty places offering authentic dishes nowadays. They may be using commercial frozen food, but compared to lackluster or unhygienic dishes at some individual non-chain restaurants, this is much better. Also, having soft-serve ice cream at the drink bar is fantastic. Soft-serve ice cream is usually at least 200 yen, if not more, so having it as part of a buffet is great. It may not be as rich as premium soft-serve, but it's still good. I've never been to an internet cafe alone, so I'm considering comparing this place with JOY CAFE in terms of service and food. The staff, possibly a veteran or manager, was very polite and provided excellent customer service.
