Sapporo Ramen popular shop and the shop that was chosen as the number 1 favorite fried rice in Hokkaido by SARAH. I tried it immediately.
- Ramen Shinshu (Rich Miso) ¥880
A bowl with the impression of intensifying the orthodox Sapporo ramen soup. It was quite rich for my tongue, accustomed to Kushiro ramen, but as I continued to eat, I could also feel the flavor of soybeans, and the deliciousness of the soup that made me want to drink it all up. The noodles that go with this are the usual medium-thick egg noodles. There is no mistake.
- Fried Rice ¥450
I was amazed after taking a spoonful into my mouth! What a fragrant fried rice!! I ate such a fragrant fried rice for the first time in my life. The rice, coated with lard while being fluffy, exudes a strong aroma. The seasoning with black pepper and garlic flavor is strong. This is delicious!! And strangely, when eaten alternately with the ramen, the deliciousness of the ramen doubles!
Overall, if your stomach allows it, I recommend ordering the fried rice without fail. The fried rice that was chosen as the top in Hokkaido was truly delicious.
*I visited around 13:30 on a weekday and there was a line of about 30 people. It seems like it's best to be prepared for that or go at a different time.

I lined up from 24:15 on Thursday. There were about 35 people waiting. I finally got my ramen at 25:25! I waited for 1 hour and 10 minutes. The restaurant is just a few minutes from Higashi Honganji-mae Station. The miso and animal-based soup has a rich and delicious flavor, with a hint of fragrance. It's not too sweet or greasy, making it easy to drink and appealing to everyone. The curly noodles are also a good match. The rumored fried rice was a bit too strong in flavor for me, but overall, it's a popular restaurant where you may have to wait for an hour in the middle of the night. Whether it's worth waiting in line for is something you'll have to experience for yourself. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at 10:30 and there was already a line, so I didn't start eating until 12:50. The turnover at this ramen shop is very slow. However, the Shinshu miso ramen and fried rice I ordered were excellent, which explains the long line. The miso broth was not greasy, with a gentle sweetness. It was a bowl that I really loved! And the fried rice was also incredibly delicious! If the wait time was shorter, it would be perfect.

Every time I come to Sapporo, I always make sure to come here. This time, there was a group of students from Kankaku University in front of me, so the waiting time was longer than usual and I ended up being the last group of three. However, thanks to the longer wait, the food tasted even better (laughs). It was a shame that the fried rice was sold out, but no matter what, I recommend the miso ramen at Shingen.

I arrived at 10:30 am on a weekday. There were already 10 people waiting. Luckily, I was able to just make it inside the restaurant. I ordered Shinshu Kokumiso Ramen, fried rice, and a half-sized ramen. The rich miso soup with curly yellow noodles, bamboo shoots, green onions, and bean sprouts was incredibly delicious! In my opinion, this miso ramen is the most delicious. The fried rice also had a subtle buttery aroma and a rich flavor, making it very tasty! I was extremely satisfied.

After a long time, I went back to my hometown. I left my luggage at the hotel and headed straight to Shingen. However, it was a bad timing as it was a little past 8:30 pm, and the line of people waiting was the longest I had ever seen, stretching three times back and forth. I decided to join the end of the line, but after 30 minutes, then an hour passed, we were still not moving much, and more people were joining the line behind me. Determined not to give up, I waited for about 2 hours before finally being seated. I ordered the classic half ramen, fried rice, beer, and also added some dumplings since I had gotten hungry while waiting in line. The ramen was excellent, with rich soup that coated the noodles deliciously. The fried rice eaten alongside the ramen was also amazing! I think the combination of ramen and fried rice here might be the best in Japan. The dumplings were also well-made, and the beer was going down smoothly. I ended up eating so much that my stomach was about to burst. The taste was satisfying as always, but by the time I returned to the hotel, it was already past midnight. It was indeed too long of a wait. The food was worth it, but I decided in my heart that next time, I will endure waiting only up to two rounds back and forth.

It was around 4:30 in the evening, raining, and I thought it might be a good time to go since it might not be crowded. However, when I arrived, there were about three people waiting outside the restaurant. I decided to line up behind them, thinking it might be my lucky day, but we were quickly ushered inside. The waiting area inside was full as usual, with many foreign visitors also waiting. I placed my order while waiting in line, and in less than 30 minutes, I was able to enjoy my meal. I ordered the spicy miso noodles with extra noodles and extra toppings. I skipped the fried rice this time because I wanted to fully enjoy the noodles. The taste was as delicious as always, and I finished my meal quickly and left the restaurant. Looking back, I saw so many people waiting in the rain. It has been almost three years since I last visited this ramen shop due to the pandemic, but its popularity remains unchanged. I am sure it will continue to be a popular ramen spot in Sapporo in the future.

I visited the restaurant on September 7, 2023, around 10:30 am. Known for its long lines in Sapporo, I arrived before opening time. After waiting for 45 minutes, I was seated. I ordered the Shinshu miso ramen, fried rice, and a beer. The ramen was truly delicious, just like authentic ramen. I also ordered the fried rice, which had a good reputation, but it was too salty. The ramen is definitely worth trying.

When watching ramen specials on YouTube, this shop always comes up. I thought I wouldn't have to wait too long if I arrived around 2 pm... but I was able to get my ramen about 1 hour and 10 minutes after arriving!! It was my first time, so I ordered the Shinshu miso ramen. The mellow and rich miso flavor, combined with the yellow, firm egg noodles, was delicious!! It was a simple bowl, so surprisingly easy to eat and not too heavy.

I waited in line for 2 hours at a popular restaurant, but unfortunately the saltiness was too strong for my taste. I felt that the ramen and fried rice at a Hokkaido ramen shop in Kawabata Shopping Street in Fukuoka would be much more worth it. Despite that, the place was extremely popular with a long line. I don't think I'll be going back for a second time. Sorry for being honest. Thank you for the meal.

Definitely delicious. I want to eat it even if I have to wait in line! But waiting for 2 hours is too much... This time I ordered the Shinshu ramen. It was understandable that the beer service was slow, maybe they were busy. I want to go again, but I don't like waiting in line. I also ordered the recommended fried rice. It was like butter rice, a flavorful fried rice, and it was also very delicious.

Arrived around 2pm on a weekday. There was always a line, regardless of the day. Waited for about 1 hour to get in.
- Shinshu Kokumiso Ramen 880 yen
This is it! When it comes to Sapporo-style miso, this is the taste! I would come back to Sapporo just for this ramen. The miso flavor is rich, and the noodles are well coated in the rich soup. While there are delicious miso ramen in Tokyo as well, this one can only be found in Sapporo. However, tastes may vary, as my family members were not as impressed. For me, this is the number one miso ramen!

I visited the restaurant 30 minutes before it opened on Sunday afternoon. There were already about 20 people lined up. The opening was okay. I ordered the most popular dish, the vegetable miso ramen. The soup was on the sweeter side with a fairly rich miso flavor. The dumplings were a bit disappointing. The fried rice was okay. On my way there, a taxi driver told me that locals don't really go to Shinshu, which lowered my expectations. It's a famous restaurant, so I think it's worth a visit at least once. :)

The popular restaurant always has a line, but finally getting inside means waiting in line again. The classic Shinshu ramen was ordered. The bowl is big and easy to eat from. The miso flavor is rich and delicious, as the name suggests. The person next to me said the fried rice here is delicious too. I'll try the fried rice next time!

I went around 5 pm and had to wait for 2 hours. Some groups who arrived later gave up and left. I tried the Shinshu Kokumiso, which was quite light. Maybe it's just right if you have it after drinking? I was expecting a stronger flavor, so I was a bit disappointed. But if you can eat in about 30 minutes, it's worth maybe 3.5 stars. If it continues to be this crowded, I probably won't visit again.

I waited in line for about 3 hours. Even though I arrived at 11:00, there was a massive queue. People must have been lining up even before the opening. You can pay with PayPay or cash. This is the real deal Sapporo ramen! The soup is the star here. The noodles are delicious too! They are smooth but still have a good chewy texture. Be sure to order the fried rice as well.

They left the Ramen Republic and went to their son's apartment to drop off a friend's suitcase and take a break. Then, they walked to Chikaho and headed towards "Susukino" for sightseeing. They finally arrived at the famous ramen shop "Shingen" after waiting in line for almost 2 hours. The shop "Sumire" on the way was also crowded with a similar line. They waited until 21:40, and the photo of the ramen they ordered was sent to them at 23:48. They waited a long time! It seemed like there were mostly tourists and young people in the crowd. Young people have patience, huh? It was mentioned that about 70% of the customers order the Shingen ramen. Their son ordered the half-size for 650 yen since he eats less than his two friends. They also shared a large portion of fried rice, which had good reviews. The feedback on the Shingen ramen was that it was worth the wait, incredibly delicious miso ramen, as expected from a popular shop. They really liked the fried rice too. Although they didn't want to wait for 2 hours again, they felt that it was worth waiting for and trying the ramen while in Sapporo. They wanted to explore the city that never sleeps, "Susukino," until morning, but they had a festival the next day, so they went straight back home. Thank you for the meal.

Known for its long lines in Sapporo, I visited "Ramen Shingen Minami 6-jo Store" to try their rich miso ramen Shinshu. When I arrived around 12 pm on a weekday, there was a line of over 40 people, and I ended up waiting for over 2 hours. As someone from Nagoya who is particular about miso, I found Shingen's miso to be rich and comparable to red miso. I topped it off with butter and corn to create my image of Sapporo miso ramen, which was delicious. The curly noodles coated in miso soup had a rich and thick flavor, which I enjoyed. However, the Sapporo miso ramen I had 30 years ago had an overwhelming amount of butter and corn, and the miso was even richer and thicker. I can't help but want to try that authentic Sapporo miso ramen again. Today's menu: Ramen Shinshu (rich miso) 1,330 yen, Additional: Corn 150 yen, Butter 150 yen, Egg 150 yen.

Shinshu miso chashu ramen with yellow curly noodles. The wheat flavor is strong and slightly firm, matching perfectly with the flavorful soup! The rich soup is delicious! It's a popular restaurant, but the soup and bean sprouts are carefully simmered in a pot, creating the perfect combination with the noodles! The chashu pork is seasoned just right for miso ramen, very tasty! The crunchy green onions and seasoned bamboo shoots are excellent! The bean sprouts add a delicious accent! I was recommended to try the fried rice, and it was the best I've ever had, with a rich flavor and perfectly balanced pickled ginger! Despite waiting in line for 2 hours in the heat, taking a taxi to Sapporo Station for my flight, it was worth it to wait and eat at the most popular restaurant in Susukino! The staff took our orders while we waited in line, providing smooth service. The signs posted while waiting showed gratitude and reminded everyone of basic manners, making it the best restaurant in Sapporo! That's why everyone is willing to wait in line! It was a heartwarming experience!

I found out that this restaurant is famous for being delicious during my trip to Hokkaido, so I decided to try it out! I went there around noon (I think it was before 12 o'clock) and waited in line for about an hour. It was hot outside and I felt like I was going to get heatstroke. >< However, the ramen was so delicious that I was surprised. I don't usually eat ramen, but it was just so good! (Please convey this) I added garlic halfway through and it was even better! If I had to say something, I would have been happy if the egg was half-cooked. The fried rice was also seasoned perfectly! ^_^

In Sapporo, start with Kotira for ramen. We lined up early and waited for 90 minutes to be seated for dinner. I tried the popular miso ramen, but opted for the rich miso flavor of Shinshu. The soup was truly delicious! What about the recommended fried rice? Hmm, surprisingly, both Nishiyama Seimen and Kobayashi Seimen, which Kotira uses, have a similar type of noodles. It's a subtle feeling. Perhaps it tastes better in winter? I felt that the boiling time and water content of the noodles may have an effect. #Shinshu Ramen 880 yen #Fried Rice 450 yen
