In the past, we used to share sushi from a single sushi container, but this year, we each received separate disposable containers for delivery. This has become the new normal, with some people even considering it expected. Last year, the delivery came in individual disposable plastic containers, and moving forward, it seems like there is a focus on single-serving options for various food items. The demand for delivery services in the food industry is increasing, but many experiences end up disappointing. Hopefully, in the future, more emphasis will be placed on price, taste, and quality to encourage repeat business. The sushi menu included premium fatty tuna, scallops, large shrimp, herring roe, crab, yellowtail, salmon roe with shiso leaf, fatty salmon, tuna, and conger eel. This was the most expensive sushi I've had so far. The conger eel was soft and fluffy, which was enjoyable. The quality of the fatty tuna was good, but the tuna was slightly disappointing. As for sea urchin, while it wasn't due to the delivery service, it didn't quite meet expectations. Personally, I would prefer other toppings like abalone instead of sea urchin. Seeing sushi enthusiasts on Instagram enjoying delicious sea urchin made me envious. However, compared to last year, the upgraded quality of the toppings made the sushi more enjoyable. The coldness of the rice slightly reduced the overall enjoyment, but overall, having sushi as the last meal of the year made me feel grateful. I would have preferred to have sushi at a restaurant in Susukino, but due to the pandemic, it was best to stay cautious. In 2020, with limited opportunities to dine out not only in December but throughout the year, there were many regrets. The coolness of the rice due to the season was noticeable, but when I focused on the rice itself, it was actually quite delicious. If improvements are made in terms of price and quality, the overall experience could be even better. The prices may remain high, but with the growth of delivery services in the food industry, there may be room for improvement in the overall dining experience.
