I visited a bakery near the center of Sapporo that was selected as one of the top 100 bakeries in Japan by Tabelog. I arrived just after 10 am on a Sunday, right after they opened. It was nice to see them open on a Sunday, as many bakeries are closed on that day. I was the only customer, so I took my time choosing the bread. I decided on a salmon croque-monsieur, a burdock brioche, and a new item called kobore cheese fondue. They accepted various electronic payment methods, which was convenient. The atmosphere of the bakery was modern and lovely. I sat outside in the snowy Sapporo weather and tried the salmon croque-monsieur first. It was incredibly delicious, with the salmon blending perfectly with all the ingredients. It was one of the best dishes I had during my trip to Hokkaido. The burdock brioche and kobore cheese fondue were also tasty, but the croque-monsieur stood out. Overall, this bakery is definitely one of the best in Sapporo.

The bread series in the Hokkaido edition, Sapporo Boulangerie Colon Main Store, looks delicious with a variety of breads lined up. They all look delicious and it's hard to choose. However, the Hokkaido corn rustic bread is irresistibly delicious. I reached for it first.

I visited a popular bakery in Sapporo to try out their bread made from 100% Hokkaido wheat flour. When I arrived around 11:30, there was only one other customer in the store, so it wasn't as crowded as I expected. The selection of bread was limited, which made me think that they had already sold out of many varieties. I'm excited to try out the different bread made from Hokkaido wheat flour. I will only give 5 stars on Instagram to the restaurants that I truly love and want to visit again, and also recommend to my friends. Sapporo Gourmet Part 5. I visited around 5 pm after eating a sandwich. I had to visit many more shops after this, so I only bought the most popular bread. The texture of this bread was very chewy and delicious.

Visited on August 21, 2023 (Monday) at 5:05 PM. There were no other customers in the store. There were only a few bread left, but the popular Rustic was still available. I purchased Pain au Chocolat Croquant, Hokkaido Corn Rustic, Butter Soy Hokkaido Cheese and Ezo Sansho Rustic. The Rustic had a crispy surface and a chewy interior, and was delicious.

Recommended by a friend, I visited the bakery around 1 pm. There was only one corn bread available, and it seemed like even the locals couldn't find their desired bread. The corn bread had a nice sweetness to it and was delicious. The bread with sausage in it had a tasty sausage filling!

I was curious about the bakery managed by Office Queue. I bought croissants, corn bread, and corn rustic bread. I ate them the next morning for breakfast, so the croissant didn't have a crispy texture. I didn't really taste the butter flavor, it had a simple taste. The corn rustic bread was soft and also had a simple taste. The corn bread had so much corn in it that I had to eat it with the provided spoon. It had potatoes at the bottom, giving it a taste that reminded me of Hokkaido. I want to visit again because there are other breads that I'm curious about.

In Hokkaido, the bread I always had was from Donguri, but I decided to try something different this time and went to Colon! Although it's slightly away from the city center, the chef here is none other than a Sinfiancier! They use Hokkaido-sourced ingredients and the fillings are generous and delicious. The top recommendation is definitely the Milk France, with just the right amount of sweetness and an incredible milk flavor. It was the most delicious Milk France I've ever had. [Visit Date: Mid-July 2023] Visited around 11 AM on a weekday and rated it 3.66 at the time of visit. Ranked in the top 100 bakeries in the EAST region on Tabelog in 2022. Walked from Susukino area to get there. Stylish interior. Local products caught my eye. Bought a couple of items. Plastic bags cost ¥5. - Pork belly sausage (¥324 including tax) Comes with slices of sausage. - Cheese and Ezo pepper bread (¥292 including tax) Bought this bread with Ezo pepper, which is quite rare. Gives a tingling sensation on the tongue. Paid with electronic money. Prices around ¥300 are reasonable. Thank you for the meal.

When I looked at the map of famous shops in Sapporo, I thought this place was close to Sapporo Station and decided to walk there, but it was surprisingly far. This bakery is popular in Sapporo, so I decided to get some takeout for when I get hungry later. I will continue walking from here. It's a bakery located near the bus center, a short walk from Odori Park. The bread in the store uses a lot of local ingredients, and there are unique breads that cannot be found in Tokyo. The seafood croissant was well-balanced and had a consistent taste. The corn bread and Hokkaido corn rustic bread were both delicious with a sweet flavor. I was surprised by the Hokkaido roast pork and Hokkaido cheese bread, as the pork had a genuine meaty taste and the cheese was rich in milk, which is not easy to find in Tokyo.

On the day of leaving Sapporo, I stopped by to buy some bread for lunch as I was tired of eating ramen. The bakery does not have seating for dining in, and there is no parking lot available. Be careful as you cannot park directly in front of the store. The interior is stylish with a black color scheme, and they mainly offer hard-type bread. I purchased the basic "Croissant coron" (248 yen), a baked curry bun (324 yen), "OMOCHI anpan" (302 yen), and "Hokkaido corn rustic" (292 yen). Since I couldn't find a suitable place to eat nearby in the city, I decided to move to a park in Shiroishi-ku (adjacent to Sapporo Convention Center) to enjoy a picnic. The park had a park golf course with a lot of ropes, which was unexpected. First, the "Croissant" was small but had a crispy texture and a nice aroma inside. The "baked curry bun" had a crispy coating with a Keema curry filling. It had a mild flavor suitable for both adults and children, but I wished it had a bit more impact. When I split the "OMOCHI anpan," I found a smooth red bean paste wrapped in mochi. The smooth texture of the red bean paste enveloped in a soft mochi was delightful. It was sweet and highly recommended. The most popular item, "Hokkaido corn rustic," had a moderate sweetness from the corn and a fresh aroma that truly conveyed the essence of Hokkaido. Its simple yet chewy texture was satisfying. The prices were relatively affordable compared to a regular lunch. Although it may not be easily accessible for tourists in the city, it deserves more recognition even from people outside the region.

I arrived at the store around 3:30 PM on July 2023♪ There were no customers before me, and 4 groups of customers arrived after me. I was on a whirlwind trip to Sapporo and had eaten my fill, but suddenly found this bakery while taking a walk! The exterior of the store is very stylish. - Hokkaido corn rustic bread - Baked curry bread - Milk France [Baked curry bread] Hmm... it feels like an expensive curry bread ← It contains curry that is somewhat like keema curry. The bread is between hard and soft in terms of firmness. Hmm, it wasn't my favorite curry bread... I prefer the curry bread from a nearby bakery. The taste is too refined. [Milk France] A hard bread with a milk cream that tastes like condensed milk kneaded into it. When you chew it, the flavor of wheat comes out, and the sweet cream like condensed milk is delicious♪ I would like to try it again when it's freshly made♪ If I have the chance, I might come back to buy more.

About 1 km south of Sapporo Station, I visited a popular bakery that uses Hokkaido wheat and corn in their bread in the evening on a weekday. The shop, called Coron, was not as cute as I had imagined from the name, but rather stylish with a color scheme of black, wood, and silver. The bread designs were simple and beautiful, perfectly baked, and the display layout was meticulous and pleasing. The miscellaneous goods such as mugs sold in the shop were also cool. Everything, from the shop's printed materials to the paper bags (even the inside was stylish), showed attention to detail. Later, I found out that the shop is run by Chef Shiga, who previously worked at Signifiant Signifie in Setagaya, Tokyo, and is now a grand chef. In the evening, there weren't many bread options left, but the customers kept coming in, happily purchasing their favorite bread. I bought three types of bread: Baked Corn Rustic with Butter Soy Sauce (290 yen), the popular Hokkaido corn rustic was sold out, so I got the one with butter soy sauce instead. The flavorful, melty bread paired with plenty of juicy corn kernels and sweetness was amazing. The butter soy sauce tied everything together like a dish. Rum Raisin (260 yen), since the red bean paste was sold out, I chose the milk French bread. The rich milk cream with a hint of rum had a sharp sweetness. The plump raisins were aromatic. The firm dough required a good chew, but the more you chewed, the more umami and sweetness you could taste. Coron Rusk - Rumoi Sweet Shrimp (320 yen), I debated between truffle salt and sweet shrimp and chose the latter. The bite-sized rusk was crispy and had a sophisticated firmness. As soon as I opened the bag, a rich shrimp aroma filled the air. It's light and has a good shelf life, making it a perfect souvenir. They also offer beautifully packaged assortments. They also had limited edition products like Summer Stollen and items paired with seasonal ingredients. It was a wonderful shop that locals and tourists alike would appreciate. Since they also have an online store, I look forward to trying their products. Thank you for the delicious experience.

I usually prefer rice, so I didn't feel like going, but my partner bought it for me on a holiday morning. Each bread had a firm dough and a unique flavor, and they were all delicious. Personally, I might like the garlic bread. The sweetness of the corn was truly Hokkaido quality!

Located a 6-8 minute walk from Bus Center Mae Station is the main store of Boulangerie Colon, a popular bakery in Sapporo known for its savory bread. It has been selected as one of the top 100 bakeries by Pan East for three consecutive years since 2019. Surprisingly, it is not too crowded in the early morning, making it easy to choose your favorite bread without worrying about them selling out. This time, I tried their baked curry bread and croque monsieur. The baked curry bread, filled with plenty of chicken keema curry, had a high quality spicy flavor and the delicious taste of the meat, typical of Hokkaido's renowned curry. The crispy texture of the bread complemented the curry perfectly, making it a superb combination. The croque monsieur, made with a generous amount of bechamel sauce, was consistently delicious, and I imagine it would be even more enjoyable when warmed up! With many nearby parks, this bakery is perfect for those looking to enjoy their bread outdoors. I highly recommend paying a visit. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Visited "Boulangerie Colon Main Store" located in front of Sapporo Bus Center. It is a popular bakery in Sapporo. Although I have tried to visit this shop several times before, the timing never seemed to work out. This time, I finally made it and visited for breakfast in the morning. The exterior of the shop, with its black color scheme and logo, exudes a sense of style. Upon entering the shop, I saw a display of breads. There weren't many varieties, but each one seemed to have its own unique appeal, making it hard to choose. I decided to pick a savory bread and a sweet bread. The staff was friendly and I paid with QUICPay. I borrowed a chair outside the shop to enjoy my breakfast. Here is my review of the items I tried: - Smoked Salmon and Spinach Croque Monsieur (348 yen tax included): A new product it seems. A croque monsieur with plenty of cream on sandwich bread. The combination of smoked salmon and spinach is excellent! The bread was crispy yet soft, and the cream was rich. The overall taste was delicious. - Caramel French Bread (248 yen tax included): A French bread with a firm texture, filled with plenty of salted caramel. The bread had a good flavor and the salted caramel was rich and sweet, making it a wonderful sweet bread. Both breads had a rich and flavorful taste, with a good texture.
