They also serve lunch during lunch hours. The all-you-can-drink option costs 1,650 yen. For the appetizer, I had burdock root and konjac simmered in soy sauce for 350 yen. The "Today's namero" was 580 yen, a sticky amberjack, I think. It's cheap because it's recently caught in Hokkaido. I ordered two servings of the "Sashimi platter with 8 varieties" for 1,100 yen each. It included scallops, shrimp, red meat, octopus, salmon, sea bream, amberjack, and herring. The salmon wasn't the best, but the other items were great. This place really excels in seafood. The "Tuna tempura" for 350 yen was light and delicious. It's good to have zangi, but tuna is even better. It had a hint of ginger and was very tasty. The "Crab and egg omelette" for 750 yen was flavorful with snow crab broth. It was a delicious omelette. I added a "medium" Hoppy Black to my order, along with a one-cup sake, draft grapefruit sour, and orange liquor. My husband and I enjoyed a leisurely daytime drinking session. The total bill came to 7,880 yen, which was very satisfying.

The store was bustling as usual, and the staff were full of energy. I arrived around 12:30 and the place was about 70% full. I was seated at a table for two. I quickly looked at the menu, which included items like seafood bowls, seafood set meals, sushi, chicken karaage, simmered fish, grilled fish, and fried fish. I was eyeing the "Seafood Sashimi Set Meal @1,500 yen" limited to 5 servings per day, but it was already sold out. So, I ordered the "Savvy Sashimi Set Meal @1,000 yen" instead. It was served in 9 minutes and included sashimi, rice, miso soup, and pickles. The sashimi included red meat, pickled herring, octopus, negitoro, scallops, and sea bream. The warm rice was delicious, and I wished I had ordered a larger portion. The sashimi was good, especially the pickled herring with a rounded acidity and the slightly rare octopus. The red meat was large and tasty, but it seemed a bit watery, possibly due to thawing. The miso soup had enoki mushrooms and nameko mushrooms, with a slightly rich flavor that was deliciously thick. Overall, the portion size was more than worth the price. Personally, I prefer seafood, but surprisingly, many people seemed to prefer grilled fish or chicken karaage. As a side note, they offer a lunchtime all-you-can-drink option for 1,078 yen (with coupon, 120 minutes, separate cover charge, order two items per person, weekdays only, from 11:30 to 14:00). Daisho Suisan has 36 stores all over Japan. I ordered the limited 5 meals Fisherman's Lunch Set for ¥1,000 (tax included). The sashimi was below expectations, but overall, it was not bad. Well, you get what you pay for, I guess. By the way, for lunch, drinks such as coffee, oolong tea, cola, ginger ale, and orange juice are available for ¥50.

When I visited after 12 PM, there were 5 customers in front of me and 4 customers behind me. Unfortunately, the limited 5 servings of the "Abundant Seafood Sashimi Set" for 1500 yen was sold out, so I ordered the "Fisherman's Hearty Set" for 1200 yen instead. The set included horse mackerel fry, herring fillet, and sashimi, with free refills of rice and miso soup. The horse mackerel fry was thin but had a good texture, likely frozen. The herring fillet had a surprising amount of chewiness. The sashimi was lacking in flavor and the accompanying thick rolled omelette was disappointing. The wasabi with the sashimi lacked spiciness. For the price of this lunch set, the food should be more delicious to attract repeat customers. I wonder if there are any regulars here? It's not competitive with nearby fast food chains like Yoshinoya in the underground shopping area. In terms of satisfaction, it's a balance of taste, price, and service. I personally think that sealed soy sauce tastes better, but here they only have a regular small soy sauce dispenser. If they are focusing on the sashimi, they should pay attention to the soy sauce as well. I don't know the difference between organic or whole soybeans, but the sealed type of soy sauce is different. I recommend it.
