I purchased wine here for the first time. Since it was my first time, I also bought a bottle. It was described as dry, but I couldn't tell if it was sweet or dry. All I can say is that it was delicious. At the request of my second son who is visiting, I also bought ice cream and chocolate bars. I love this ice cream. I remembered that my daughter wanted to eat canelé, so I stopped by Hokuren on the way. As expected, they didn't have canelé at Chateraise... So we chose Mont Blanc with strawberries and a plain one, and my mother chose cheesecake. It seems the Mont Blanc didn't look as good as expected...

I am happy that I can find a variety of desserts here, from cakes and cream puffs to traditional Japanese sweets like rice cakes and yokan, as well as ice cream. Today, I purchased a pudding made with eggs from a farm that has a no-additive policy. It was not too fluffy, but rather a classic pudding. I personally enjoy this type of pudding, and I savored it. Since this is more like my personal diary, please do not rely too much on my evaluation or comments.

In October 2022, I visited Shatoreze in Chitose. I really enjoy their house white wine, which is a natural white wine without any heat treatment or preservatives. It has a good balance of fruitiness and acidity, making it delicious. They have a policy where if you bring back the bottle, you can purchase the wine at a discounted price and they will refill it with a fresh batch.

Chateraise's white wine, made from high-quality grapes from Yamanashi, is refreshing, fruity, and easy to drink. It is not heated and does not contain any extra ingredients, so it is less likely to cause a hangover the next morning. Additionally, it is relatively affordable, making it a popular choice for casual drinking. On this particular day, the fresh seafood paired perfectly with the white wine, and before we knew it, the bottle was empty.

I bought the apple pie that I was curious about. It seems to be highly praised, so I was looking forward to eating it. There were few apples in it. The ones from Hokkaido's Kitakaro are much heavier and tastier, as well as the ones from Rokkatei made with apples from Yoichi. Nakaya's apple pie is the best, though. Shouldn't have compared it.

Well, I was thinking of heading home after having lunch, but then I saw the sign for "Chateraise" and their "Double Choux Cream (¥108)". It's right next to the restaurant I just had lunch at, and the price is so tempting! The cream puff has two layers, one of whipped cream and one of custard cream. The pastry is thin and fluffy, making it easy for the cream to spill out. The whipped cream is soft and blends well with the pastry. It's milky with a balanced sweetness, and the custard cream has a nice vanilla flavor. The cream filling is generous and for ¥108, it's definitely worth it. The Chitose Higashi store also has a wide variety of ice cream flavors, almost 50 of them. I've only been to the Ebetsu store before, so I'm not sure if other stores also offer such a variety of ice cream. It's great for everyday use, and I'll definitely be visiting Chateraise more often. I went to Chitose for work and after finishing, I went shopping at a nearby supermarket. I found a Shatorizu store in the parking lot and decided to buy some snacks. They had a separate building just for ice cream. It was a hot day, so many people were buying 3-5 bags of ice cream each. I bought the "Shine Muscat Fluffy Roll" and my companion's favorite, the "Burnt Butter Melon Bread" which were both part of their current fair. The Shatorizu "Fluffy Roll" has a gentle sweetness of whipped cream and a fluffy sponge which is amazing! The price is reasonable, so I always buy it. The Shine Muscat grapes are of high quality and are delicious. The "Burnt Butter Melon Bread" has a good buttery aroma with a thick cookie dough and a light and fluffy bread inside. It's more like a sweet snack than bread, which my companion, who loves sweet things, really enjoyed! I will visit another branch again soon. Thank you, Chitose Higashi Koto store!

When I went to Chitose City, I stopped by Shatoreze Chitose Higashikomachi store for a midday snack. There is a parking lot in front of the store, but it may be difficult to enter from the right side of the road. The store is spacious, and I quickly purchased the "Premium Pudding (162 yen)" and "Additive-free Contract Farm Egg Pudding (108 yen)" along with the "Kumamoto Prefecture Chestnut Dorayaki (216 yen)". The pudding is a classic pudding, not the trendy type. The best part was probably the dorayaki. There were also many other cakes available.

"February 2020 Update: It's been about 6 years since my last review, but I still regularly visit Shatoreze a few times a year. While there are other nearby options for Japanese and Western sweets like Morimoto and Rokkatei, Shatoreze is still my go-to choice. The variety of sweets available, the affordable prices, and the well-stocked selection of Japanese sweets are the main reasons. Among them, the cup-packed dango is perfect for a quick snack, with flavors like grass, sesame, and mitarashi to choose from based on your mood that day. I feel like there may be slightly fewer options compared to before, but Shatoreze remains a valuable choice for everyday sweets shopping."

On the way back from my friend's house in Chitose in February 2019, we stopped by a "Chateraise" store. Despite the initial reluctance to go in quickly, the four of us, all older women, ended up getting excited once inside. I picked up some items with my purse in hand, including a soft and tasty butter roll for 194 yen and some mini donuts for 130 yen. The donuts were not too sweet and easy to share. My friends also bought some items. I love shopping, so I will definitely come back and fill my basket next time. Thank you for the delicious treats!

I splurged a little more than usual on a cake for my daughter's coming-of-age ceremony celebration after work. It was quite expensive, even at Chateraise. It looked luxurious and my daughter was happy, so it was worth it. It tasted really good too.

I bought a cake from Chateraise after a long time. I felt like everything was a bit more expensive. The coffee milk pudding was delicious. There were various chocolates available because Valentine's Day is approaching.

The cheesecake is cheap and big. It's nice that even if you buy four, it's not over 1000 yen. It's convenient to stop by and buy it because it's next to Hokuren.

At the Chateraise Strawberry Fair, I had a strawberry mousse cake and a cake shaped like a red demon for Setsubun (lol). It was delicious, but a bit too much for me (lol).
