After arriving in Sapporo, I had lunch, checked into the hotel, and then started the evening part of my trip. The first place I visited was Tottri, a yakiniku restaurant open from 12:00 to 24:00, which is very convenient. I made a reservation for 16:30, a less crowded time for travelers. Despite the low price range, Tottri is a well-maintained yakiniku restaurant with a nice exterior, interior, and menu. Upon entering, there was only one other group of two customers. I ordered a Dewar's highball for 480 yen, a mix of beef hormones for 1,650 yen (you can choose between salt or miso sauce, I chose miso), and with LINE registration, the premium kalbi for 1,650 yen was discounted to 980 yen. There was no appetizer, which was a plus. The Dewar's highball was served promptly after ordering, allowing me to relax after a long journey. Soon after, a beautiful platter of premium kalbi, liver, honeycomb tripe, and white intestine, a mix of three types of beef hormones, arrived. I immediately requested some gochujang sauce. I started with the hormones, enjoying the liver slightly raw and crispy, the honeycomb tripe with a nice texture, and the premium kalbi cooked to a medium-rare perfection. It was the best kalbi I've had recently, with delicious marbling and flavor. Overall, Tottri is a high-quality yet affordable yakiniku restaurant, and I left satisfied with my solo yakiniku experience. Next time, I would like to try their famous Morioka cold noodles.
