This is one of my favorite soup curry restaurants. I visited for lunch after a long time, so I will just upload the photos. I ordered the "Spare Rib Curry (regular size) for 1,480 yen" with a spiciness level of 4 and medium rice (200g). The soup, with a clean and minimal taste, has a perfect balance of umami and spices, making it very delicious. The prices have gone up quite a bit compared to the past, but I recommend it to those who like light soup curry.

I arrived at 11:25 on a weekday. There were already 2 groups of people waiting in line. As the opening time approached, more and more people lined up, showing that this is a popular place. When you enter, they guide you to a table or counter based on the number of people in your group. However, they take orders starting from the people who arrived later! They bring out the curry in the order of the orders taken. I wish they would take orders based on the order of entry. We were the third group to enter, but the curry was brought to the fifth group. The group of 4 young people who entered first had only received drinks by the time we finished eating. It left me feeling a bit uneasy. I felt sorry for the person who entered first. Saboii, a place I have loved eating at for a long time. The curry on this day had a strong sour and salty taste. The balance was off. I ranked it as number 4, but the spices seemed weak somehow.

I came to Sapporo and wanted to try some soup curry, so I found this restaurant. It seems like they are closed every other Wednesday. They have 6 levels of spiciness, and when I asked the staff, they recommended level 4 for first-time visitors. I ordered the Seafood Curry at level 4 (1980 yen). The soup had a strong seafood flavor with ingredients like sea bream, shrimp, scallops, and oysters. It tasted similar to bouillabaisse, and if you like seafood, you'll enjoy it. The spiciness at level 4 was a bit mild, so I think I could have handled a higher level. The ingredients were luxurious, justifying the price close to 2000 yen, but I still feel a bit hesitant to spend that much on soup curry. It was delicious though.

After visiting the TV tower, the former Hokkaido Government Office building, and the clock tower, we returned to Sapporo Station and headed to the popular soup curry restaurant we were looking for. Soup Curry Hiri Hiri 2 050-5570-9451 located at 6-1-1 Kita 6-jo Nishi 6-chome, Kita-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. However, due to the Hokkaido Marathon, we couldn't cross the road that was just 20m away from the restaurant as it was part of the marathon course. We asked a guard, and he said we had to detour over 1km away. We were tired from walking all morning, so we had to change our plans and chose a different restaurant for the day. We went down a narrow staircase to the basement floor, and when we opened the door, we found a bright and surprisingly spacious restaurant. It was almost full with many female customers, but luckily we found a table without having to wait. Both of us ordered the Seafood Curry - my wife chose level 3 spiciness (medium) with a small portion of rice (150g), while I chose level 4 spiciness with a regular portion of rice (200g). After about 20 minutes, our curry arrived with a generous amount of seafood including large prawns, sea bream, scallops, oysters, clams, and mussels. The soup was flavorful with a light taste, and the sea bream was substantial. We spooned rice into the curry and enjoyed the delicious combination. My wife also enjoyed the curry, and we were both satisfied and full. It was a great meal.

This was my second visit. The first time, I remember the dishes being more flavorful. This time, I ordered from the regular menu. The pumpkin was sweet, the broccoli was not deep-fried, and the chicken was boneless. Maybe my taste buds have become more refined recently, as I felt slightly unsatisfied. Thank you for the meal.

This time, I visited the restaurant for dinner at a slightly early hour. I saw a poster for the "Rich and Creamy Soup Re・SAVoY" when I passed by the front of the shop the other day, and I wanted to try it, so I visited. When I entered, there was only one person leaving, and there were no other customers, maybe because of the time. There are three types of rich soup on the menu. I hesitated a bit, but I ordered the "Crispy Chicken Breast Curry" with medium spiciness and medium rice. It was served in about 10 minutes. Unlike the traditional menu of this restaurant, the soup was white and cloudy. The spiciness of the soup was not very sharp, but I could taste the richness and depth of flavor. I could also smell the unique spice aroma, and I could tell it was SAVoY's curry. I think the taste is different from the traditional menu. Personally, I might prefer this one. There are many restaurants that offer richer and more flavorful soup curry, and it can vary greatly depending on the base. It's a matter of preference. Thank you for the meal.

I have been using this place since before it moved. This time, I visited after a long time. I tried the new menu, the opposite of the rich soup, and the bone-in chicken. I chose medium spiciness. Hmm, it does have a thick texture and it reminds me of Pikkinyu that used to be in Shiroishi. The spiciness is just right. It's delicious! But next time, I think I'll try the regular soup again.

There is a well-known soup curry restaurant called "Akunome no Soup" that has a reputation for its light and gentle flavor, similar to Chinese herbal soup. It was perfect for my tired stomach after traveling. Inside the soup, there were potatoes and carrots. I heard they also recently started serving a rich and creamy soup, so I would like to try that next time.

I was craving soup curry and came across this place. The interior is charming and spacious, suitable for solo diners or large groups. I ordered the spare rib curry this time. I chose a recommended spice level of 3, and the spiciness from the aromatic spices was just right - not too overpowering. Those who are not fond of spicy food may want to go for a milder option. The soup curry was light and filled with plenty of vegetables, along with a very large spare rib. Every bite was satisfying. The spiciness of the curry really stood out, making it a dish that you'll definitely get hooked on. Personally, this dish was the epitome of what soup curry should be.

Eating soup curry makes me feel like saying "I'm home". Five minutes before opening on a Sunday, there was already a line forming, but I managed to just barely get a seat. The soup is gentle with plenty of vegetables, and under the chicken, there are chunks of potatoes and carrots. The chicken is not bone-in, but a whole piece of thigh meat that is tender and satisfying to eat. Next time, I'll try the new menu item, the rich and creamy soup curry.

I went for a business lunch. I wanted to go to another soup curry restaurant, but it was closed, so I went here. I was seated right away, but the place was almost full and there was only one person cooking, so I had to wait for over 30 minutes. I ordered the vegetable soup curry for 1680 yen, which I thought was quite pricey, but when it arrived, it was a feast! There were so many ingredients, and the vegetables were sweet and delicious, while the curry was spicy and flavorful. I went with 4 people, and even though I was the first to get my food, I ended up being the last one to finish eating, about 20 minutes after the last person. The vegetable curry was really filling. I have tried several soup curry places before, but I think this one had the best balance of volume, appearance, and cost performance. I like being able to enjoy a variety of flavors, so it was perfect for me. You can see from the photo that there are a lot of vegetables, and there are even big chunks of potatoes and carrots inside! They were running a PayPay campaign, so I got about 10% back in points. I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. Thank you for the meal! ☻

Located about a 3-minute walk from Sapporo Station North Exit, this restaurant is easy to enter without much of a wait, even around 1pm on weekdays. The predecessor of this place, "Curry SAVOY," was a soup curry restaurant on a busy street where there was always a line. It closed in October 2017, but the current owner reopened it. They use over 15 types of spices and ingredients, letting them sit for a day, then straining out any excess components the next day and chilling it in the freezer. After removing the excess oil and going through multiple steps, the soup is finally ready to be served to customers on the fourth day, showcasing their dedication to making soup curry. My order was the "Spare Rib Curry (Level 5) for 1480 yen." The soup curry had a rich flavor with the sweetness of vegetables, the juiciness of the spare ribs, and just the right amount of spice. The spare ribs were so tender that you could easily cut them without needing a knife. Even at level 5 spiciness, the soup curry was delicious with a good balance of umami and heat. With a wide variety of options, including not just soup curry but also dishes like "Teppan Keema Curry," this is a great restaurant where you won't be satisfied with just one visit. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back again! ⭐️

Chicken and vegetable curry (level 3 spiciness) with an additional soft drink (iced coffee). The chicken was tender and boneless, making it easy to eat. The vegetables included potatoes, carrots, broccoli, pumpkin, bell peppers, green peppers, and greens in abundance. I am not very familiar with soup curry, but it was very delicious and satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

It's been about half a year since I last visited Saboi. Today, I was in the mood for some hearty meat, so I ordered a 280g spare rib. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of fat. It was delicious, and the soup was light and easy to drink. It felt like I could keep drinking it forever, like curry-flavored water.

- Chicken curry (1,100 yen)
- Mango lassi (280 yen)
During a weekday around 1:10 pm, on my first visit. For my second meal during my business trip in Hokkaido, I walked 5 minutes from Sapporo Station North Exit to "Curry Savoy" for soup curry. The seating rate was 30%. I ordered the chicken curry from the menu. The recommended spice level was 3, and I chose medium for the rice. It took about 15 minutes from ordering to serving. The soup had a distinct spice aroma, a hint of spiciness, and a watery consistency. It was light but delicious with its aroma and spiciness. I debated how to eat it and decided to scoop rice with a spoon and dip it in the soup for the first half. For the second half, I put the rice directly into the soup and soaked it before eating. Personally, I found the second way easier to eat. The chicken, carrots, and potatoes in the curry were large and satisfying to eat. Overall, I had no complaints and would like to try the Keema curry next time.

I went to the restaurant before noon and it was very crowded. Fortunately, I was able to find a seat, but it took quite a while for the food to be served. When asked if I was okay with the wait, I replied that it was fine. The long-awaited soup curry finally arrived. It was very spicy, but not overwhelming, with plenty of umami flavor. However, as I ate, I started sweating more and more, ending up eating covered in sweat. Despite that, it was a pleasant dining experience. I didn't realize it myself, but when I arrived at the office after eating, someone said, "You had curry soup, didn't you?" Perhaps the spice aroma was emanating from my body along with the sweat. If you have a date or an important business meeting after eating here, be prepared for the aftermath.

In Sapporo, I got off for lunch and had soup curry at Saboi near the station. I ordered the Hokkaido spare rib large size (1500 yen). The tender spare ribs and vegetables were delicious. The spiciness was just right, but it made me sweat. Authentic soup curry is really good.

There are many soup curry restaurants I want to visit in Sapporo, but this time I was curious about the Teppan Keema Curry so I visited here! Of course, I also had the soup curry, which was delicious with a rich and flavorful soup, but the vegetables were slightly undercooked overall, which was not to my liking. On the other hand, the Teppan Keema was a perfect combination of minced meat, cheese, and egg which I loved! This time I chose medium spiciness, but with the cheese and egg it was mild, so next time I want to try it a bit spicier.

Located underground. I arrived 10 minutes before the 11:30 opening and was the first in line. The interior of the restaurant is spacious with counter seats and table seating. There were few customers even after that. I ordered the spare rib curry with a spiciness level of MAX 6. The rice portion was the standard 200g. The spiciness was indeed hot but delicious. The spare ribs were surprisingly tender and the large portion was satisfying. The curry had a good amount of vegetables and was delicious, truly living up to Hokkaido's soup curry reputation.

The soup curry costing 1,380 yen was refreshing and made me sweat. It had plenty of soup and the addition of lemon was nice. The ingredients didn't have a strong impact, but the curry was deeply flavorful. I would like to try the seafood curry next time.

I found this place while walking around and decided to give it a try. It had been a long time since I had soup curry, and it was delicious! It might be the best one I've had so far. I ordered the Chicken Vegetable Curry, and the chicken was very prominent. The portion size was impressive, with large chunks of potatoes and carrots that caught my eye. The amount of food was also great. I opted for a smaller portion of rice. I squeezed some lemon into the soup and soaked it up. Unfortunately, I went near closing time, so I felt bad about that! The atmosphere of the restaurant was also fantastic. I tried to take a photo, but the lighting was off, so it turned out like this (laughs). I will definitely come back to eat here when I visit Hokkaido again.
