This restaurant is a super famous place that has spread the name of soup curry throughout Hokkaido, known among soup curry lovers. However, the spiciness level "Nehan" is indeed spicy! People who enjoy spicier levels than Nehan are definitely in the realm of enthusiasts. When I initially chose the chicken curry and then decided to go for extreme spiciness by saying "I'll go for Nehan level spiciness," the staff recommended, "If you want to go for extreme spiciness, Nehan has more vegetables, so I recommend that. If you want extreme spiciness with fewer vegetables, then you should consider adding toppings, but in that case, Nehan is definitely the best choice." I fell for their recommendation. Nehan is what they call super spicy in general. It was so spicy that I couldn't really taste the flavor properly. I made a mistake. I was looking forward to coming back after about two years, but I failed this time. For me, the spiciness of "Mouzen" is just right. Unless you really love extremely spicy food, Mouzen is the best choice. And for those who are not good with spicy food, it's better not to go beyond "Kakusei." Kakusei is medium spicy, Meiso is slightly towards the spicier side of medium spicy, and Mouzen is slightly towards the spicier side of large spicy, providing a good balance between spiciness and the flavor of the soup. Nehan, on the other hand, is in the category of extremely spicy, even beyond large spicy, so it's too spicy for those who don't love spicy food, to the point where the taste of the soup becomes indiscernible. If the staff says, "It's about medium spicy," it's probably large spicy, as they are used to spiciness. I added "sesame seeds" and "black garlic" as toppings to the chicken curry. Of course, the soup curry itself was delicious as always. The black garlic topping was particularly delicious! Highly recommended for garlic lovers! I wanted to have the barista-style coffee after the meal, but it was sold out, so I opted for the charcoal coffee at 660 yen. It's a unique coffee, quite interesting, but it's quite expensive.
