Last night, while searching for Genghis-related restaurants, I realized that there were fewer options available. Feeling a bit disappointed, I stumbled upon this restaurant. It seemed to be located near my house and based on the website, it appeared to be a longstanding yakiniku restaurant in Otaru. They also had a Genghis Khan menu, so I decided to give it a try. I arrived at the restaurant just before 12 pm, riding my bike there since it was only a 3-minute ride. The restaurant was situated in a newly built apartment complex and had opened just last month. The interior was clean and modern, with only two other groups of customers present. Although it wasn't a private room, the tables were separated by partitions, providing some privacy. I ordered the "Raw Lamb Genghis Khan Set" which cost ¥1100 including tax. I opted not to get the large rice portion for an additional ¥50. I also ordered an iced coffee for after the meal. The food arrived promptly, with the exception of the soup which I forgot to order. Apparently, it's a specialty of the restaurant to pour the soup into the leftover sauce and drink it like soba broth. I decided to give it a try and ordered it separately. The meat was grilled on a net, and the portions were a bit small. The rice serving was standard, and there were no grilled vegetables, only a small salad. The meat was thin and lacked flavor, becoming overcooked quickly. It was bland when eaten alone but tasted better when dipped in the sauce. Despite not being particularly delicious, it was still enjoyable with rice. The meal didn't take long to finish, and when it was time to try the soup, it turned out to be too strong for my liking. I diluted it with more water and mixed it with the leftover sauce, which surprisingly made it tasty. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, but the food felt somewhat cheap in quality, giving off a sense of underestimating lunch offerings. Overall, it might not be enticing enough for customers to return for dinner.

I apologize for the lack of photos. I have a memory of visiting Otaru in the past and saw this place while driving, so I decided to give it a try. It seemed like they had just opened. I tried various dishes, but overall, I felt the cost performance was not great. The Kalbi and Sagari Hormone Mix dishes were not bad. The service was weak due to the price range, and the cost performance of drinks was also not good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

The current Niku is shining brightly ♬ The steak is so amazing that it's astonishing ♬ Located on the first floor of a newly built apartment complex, the Otona Mon Nishimachi store is a fresh and welcoming place for freshmen. The restaurant is actually a branch of a well-established yakiniku restaurant in Otaru. Despite some slightly unsettling elements, I will skip over those details for now. The newness of the interior and the comfortable seating arrangements contribute to the cozy atmosphere of the place. I was curious about the "wari soup" on the menu, which includes a finishing soup. The original sauce and a miso-based sauce were also provided, both of which were delicious, so I drank plenty of them. When I was seated near the entrance, I felt a bit uncomfortable, but the situation improved when a roll screen was used to create a more private space. There was a set meal called "Raw Lamb Jingisukan," and although I initially wanted the 3-piece set, my curiosity about lamb won in the end. The Jingisukan was made with raw lamb, but I felt that it didn't quite reach the level of specialty stores in terms of quality. It could have been more tender and juicy if the meat had been processed better. I chose the sauce flavor, but I think it wouldn't have made much of a difference if I had chosen salt. I would rate the taste of this Jingisukan meat alone as 3.2, but it improved with the wari soup and sauce. I look forward to trying a different set meal next time. The rice and wakame soup were standard, but the kakuteki and salted warabi were delicious, with the standout dish being the finishing soup that day. Restaurant Information: 1st Floor, S-RESIDENCE Nishimachi, Nishi 11-1, Nishi-machi Kita 1-1, Nishi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido 063-0061 ☆☆☆ Preview for the Next Review ☆☆☆ Anytime is a good time for meat ♬ Reference Song: "Ima no Kimi wa Pikapika ni Hikatte" by Tetsuo Saito Lyrics by Shigesato Itoi, Composed by Keiichi Suzuki

"Opened in the north of Nishimachi along the old Route 5, the long-established Otaru yakiniku restaurant 'Dainimon Nishimachi Store' was already bustling with a line of about 10 people in front of the store when I arrived, just over 5 minutes past the opening time. It took me about an hour to finally enter and be seated. The interior of the restaurant had a long corridor stretching straight back from the entrance, with the eel's sleeping area on the left side, the kitchen on the right, and the restroom. There were several 2-person and 4-person tables near the entrance, and some semi-private seating further back. I quickly looked at the menu, which was also available on paper, but orders were placed primarily through a tablet. The weekday lunch menu included options like pork hormone set meal for 800 yen, special beef bowl set meal for 950 yen, cold noodle set meal, warm noodle set meal, raw lamb set meal for 1,100 yen, premium kalbi set meal for 1,300 yen, beef tongue set meal for 1,700 yen, and special kalbi set meal for 2,200 yen. I ordered the 'three-point mixed set meal for 1,800 yen' with a choice of drink, opting for oolong tea. The food was served in about 7 minutes, consisting of 50g each of kalbi, sagari, and pork hormone, along with salad, kimchi, namul, rice, wakame soup, and the chosen drink. The standout feature was the quality of the meat, which was incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful. The kalbi had a nice, elegant distribution of fat, while the sagari had a substantial thickness that was satisfying to bite into. The pork hormone was cut into large pieces, with a smooth and bouncy texture that was impressive. The seasoning was a bit strong for my taste, but it worked well for hearty eating. I ordered with sauce this time, but I would like to try it with salt next time. Lastly, about 'Otaru yakiniku,' it is customary to pour the soup into the leftover sauce and drink it, and you can order a 'finishing soup' from the tablet (for free). I won't comment on the taste, but for those who haven't tried it, I recommend giving it a go. I will definitely be revisiting with my wife for dinner. Thank you for the valuable information."

A yakiniku restaurant in Otaru has expanded to Sapporo, so I decided to visit on the opening day. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, stylish, and has a good atmosphere. I was seated in a private room, which I appreciated, and there was a box of tissues available. This time, I ordered items such as prime kalbi, premium beef tongue, pork hormone, Rusutsu pork shoulder loin, and Otaru local chicken thigh. The overall price range is somewhat high. I checked the menu on the official website before going, but the prices and menu items were different. It is important to be cautious when visiting as there may be discrepancies. The average budget may differ by over 1,000 yen. The taste was consistently delicious. The Otaru local chicken thigh was a bit tough for a thigh, but I'm not sure if that's the characteristic of Otaru local chicken. The drink menu also had higher prices overall. Since there is no all-you-can-drink option, if you plan to drink a lot, it could end up being quite expensive. I had high expectations when I visited, but was somewhat disappointed by the low cost-performance ratio. The delicious food was the redeeming factor, but I may not revisit.

The restaurant opened in June, so the storefront was new and clean. It felt almost like dining in a private room. The prices were a bit high, but the meat was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Sagari and Kalbi dishes, which were very tasty.
