Unfortunately, the weather was bad and the sea was rough. However, the shop had a quiet and calming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. I ordered a set of coffee and today's cake. The coffee was delicious as they grind the beans and drip it fresh. The black sugar pudding had a rich flavor that paired well with the coffee. I recommend it even on a cloudy day!

The port town of Hakodate is surrounded by the sea on three sides, offering various places to enjoy the ocean views. One of the cafes that can be found by searching "Hakodate Cafe with ocean view" is Cafe Laminar. Located a 5-minute walk from the streetcar station "Takaradzuka-cho," it is easily accessible even for tourists. The second-floor seaside cafe is fully glass-covered, providing a panoramic view of the Tsugaru Strait. The cafe is designed with the sea in mind, featuring terrace seats and counter seats facing the ocean. I chose the ice cream set, which includes two types of ice cream and a drink. My family opted for the cake set, selecting the citrus cake from the three cakes of the day. The taste was decent. Although I visited with my family this time, if I were a Hakodate resident, I would like to visit alone and sit at the counter seat facing the sea.

There was a lovely café with glass walls located after passing through a residential area facing the sea from the tram stop at Aoiwai-cho. The view was amazing. I chose the cake set, with a berry cheesecake and iced café au lait from a selection of four cakes. The cheesecake had a perfect balance of berries and cream cheese, with the refreshing berries and tangy cheese complementing each other. I couldn't help but exclaim "delicious!" to myself (laughs). The gradation of the iced café au lait was also beautiful, although it may not be apparent in the photos. Thank you for the relaxing moment. It was a treat.

The seaside café is very elegant! I enjoyed a leisurely lunch here. I had the pasta set with cake. I didn't know what kind of sauce the pasta had, but it was very delicious. It was smooth and brought out the flavors of the ingredients! The soup and salad also matched well overall! The cake was chocolate, but the ice cream had a cherry blossom flavor, with a salty taste like cherry blossom mochi, so the cake didn't get boring. The atmosphere was also nice, thank you for the meal!

When I went to Hakodate, I wanted to visit another café after Rokkatei Ryokan. Heading towards the Tsugaru Strait, there is a café with large windows offering a great view if the weather is nice. Unfortunately, it was cloudy when I visited, but it didn't rain as forecasted, so that was a plus. I had been eating a lot, so I only had coffee here. I tried the "Hawaiian Flavored Coffee" which had a strong macadamia nut aroma. The smell lingered for over an hour after drinking it. My companion had a "Café Latte," which was a milk coffee with a strong acidity. Both were priced at 600 yen each. I would love to visit again on a sunny day and enjoy imported beer leisurely. Thank you, Laminell!

This cafe offers a stunning ocean view facing the sea. The interior has both table and counter seats, and there is a good selection of food available. I wasn't very hungry, so I just had a drink. There is plenty of parking available, making it easy to visit.

If you feel like having lunch while looking at the sea on a sunny day, this might be the place. It's a bit of a walk from the nearest tram stop, but it's a good place to relax while looking at the sea. It has also been used as a filming location for movies. Thank you for the meal.

You can enjoy a resort-like atmosphere in a quiet seaside area with few people passing by.

The restaurant has a glass wall where you can enjoy a view of the beach. Despite being close to tourist spots, it has a quiet and calm atmosphere where you can relax leisurely and end up staying longer than expected. This time, I had a set of bottled beer, white wine, and snacks. Although the lunch, dessert, and soft drink options seem delicious and fulfilling, it would be nice if they could offer a wider variety of alcohol and snacks considering the fantastic location. For those who don't drink alcohol, it may not be perfect, but still a great spot, isn't it?

I had been curious for a while and finally visited Lamineur! I arrived when the sun had set and it was getting dark, the weather wasn't great, but the view of the Tsugaru Strait was amazing! On the right, you could see Mount Hakodate, and on the left, the lights of Yunokawa... The location was superb! The view on the bay area on the other side was also different and charming. The interior of the restaurant was clean and had a sense of openness with the glass windows facing the sea. I ordered the cake of the day and chose cocoa for my drink. The cake of the day was a chocolate cake with apple mousse. This chocolate cake had red beans in it, which was a type I hadn't encountered much before. The first impression of the cake was that it was cold, perhaps it had been in the fridge for a while? But as I ate it, the pleasant coldness grew on me. When you put the fork in, it crumbled easily, but it wasn't too sweet, just a hint of bitterness! It paired well with the red beans. The apple jelly in the mousse was delicious too. Refreshing and easy to eat, I could have had many more slices! The pumpkin cake also had big chunks of pumpkin in it! The sweetness of the pumpkin was just right, and I finished it quickly too. The coffee and cocoa drinks were decent. This place feels like time flows gently, like the calm sea without waves. I really like Lamineur, by the sea. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant in May this year. I had been craving to see the sea as the weather had been sunny for days. I decided to go to the beach on my next day off and thought it would be nice to have lunch at a seaside restaurant. I had heard rumors about this place before, so I finally decided to pay a visit. The interior of the restaurant was not as spacious as I had imagined, but most of it was glass-walled with many counter seats, so it didn't feel cramped. The weather was beautiful that day and the view of the sky and sea from the windows was stunning. The seats in the sun looked a bit hot, but the seat I chose was comfortable (lol). I had the pasta plate for lunch which came with soup and a drink. The pasta was cabbage and clam pasta, and it was okay in terms of taste. The portion size was not very big. Perhaps anything would be forgiven with such a nice location (excuse me!). After eating, I relaxed and gazed at the sea inside the restaurant, then went outside to the seaside to relax a bit more. I imagine there would be a different charm if I came at night. It seems perfect for a date.

On March 17, 2015, we had lunch at Cafe-Bar LAMINAIRE in Hakodate, where we could enjoy a panoramic view of the Tsugaru Strait. The weather was nice, and the café's glass walls facing the sea offered the best scenery. My friend had a delicious-looking gratin, while I enjoyed the breaded pork loin. The salad served with the meal had thinly sliced apples, which I found tasty and plan to replicate at home. After the meal, we were served coffee or tea. The tea reflected the blue sky beautifully. Before leaving, we took a quick look at the sea, although it was still quite cold. We were fooled by the spring sunshine.

One of the cafes I wanted to visit is Lamineur in Takarai Town. I visited the cafe in the morning, expecting it not to be too crowded. The cafe has a glass exterior, offering a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. The scenery is truly breathtaking, especially on a sunny day like the one I visited. The interior of the cafe is stylish and peaceful, with soft background music playing. I ordered a dessert platter which included a pear cake, yuzu sherbet, and white wine jelly, along with an iced coffee, all for around 1000 yen. The desserts were delicious, but I was so captivated by the view that I found it hard to focus on the taste. The service was minimal but appropriate, allowing customers to enjoy the atmosphere and view. I found myself lingering in the cafe longer than planned, feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. I would recommend this cafe to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful moment by the sea.

Seikoma is one street before, but the view is amazing. It's by the sea. The interior is also clean. It seems to have many regular customers. I haven't tried the food, but there is a food menu and the cakes are delicious. I didn't think about anything, just watched the sea and planes taking off. As summer approaches, the terrace seats will be available, so more customers may come and it might be harder to find a seat. I come on quiet weekdays or in the off-season. There are many cars parked on the road below, but the parking lot is spacious with plenty of room.

I heard that there is a cafe where you can enjoy a view of the sea from Hakodate Park, so I went to look for it. At first, I had no idea where it was, but then I spotted a glass-fronted shop and realized that it was the place. That place is called "Lamineur". It looked like a beauty salon at first glance, so I might not have noticed it haha. The shop is located on the 2nd floor of the building, and half of it is made of glass, offering a panoramic view of the sea. The sun came out just as the fog cleared, and the blue sky and sea looked absolutely beautiful. There were other customers in the shop, so I could only take one picture, which was a shame. The interior of the shop has 15 counter seats, 2 tables for 2 people, and 1 table for 4 people. The menu mainly consisted of lunch items, but I found a cake set (600 yen). I ordered it along with chai (600 yen). While waiting, the sun shone through the glass interior, and a refreshing sea breeze blew in, creating an atmosphere as if I were on a tropical island. This is a fantastic environment, quite unexpected for Hakodate. The cake set seemed to be homemade baked goods. It was a bit less sweet than I prefer, but it had a homemade touch that suited the environment here. I thought the chai would be sweeter, but it was not as sweet as I expected, which was a bit disappointing (laughs). In terms of food and drink, it wasn't particularly impressive, but the view is truly amazing. This place seems like the perfect spot to linger for hours on a sunny day.
