Once a week, I visited the restaurant last week only to find out that it was closed for the day. I saw on Instagram in the morning that it was open, but later saw a post about the temporary closure around 10 o'clock. I decided to try again today, and it was packed, possibly due to being featured in the local magazine "Monthly Shun." There were almost 10 people lined up at opening time. I always buy products with their homemade sweet bean paste because it's delicious. This time, I also bought spelt wheat bread. Spelt wheat is an ancient grain that is less likely to cause wheat allergies and contains many essential nutrients. For those who love bread but have wheat allergies, this bread might be a lifesaver.

I had been checking out Kodawari Komugi's website and building before they opened, but I couldn't quite make it there on Wednesdays due to various reasons. Finally, I took a day off and visited Pirika Amamu at 11 am, just 5 minutes before opening. When I arrived, there were already 5 cars waiting in line. As soon as it hit opening time, the sign changed and people started entering, changing into slippers. Since they only open once a week, many people were buying a lot of bread. I chose a few items and had them the next morning: - Onion Cheese Bacon Bread for 200 yen: The crispy cheese on the surface and the delicious bacon and cheese inside made for a great combination. The bread had a nice firm texture even with the filling. - Mini Loaf Bread for 320 yen: I cut it and had it the next morning, and also froze some to have a few days later. It had a glossy appearance and a rich flavor even without any spreads. - Simple Round Bread for 50 yen: I asked for it and they brought it from the kitchen. I couldn't finish it all, so I froze it and had it later. It was like a round version of their loaf bread, with a light texture. - Wiener Bread for 180 yen and Anko Butter Sandwich for 180 yen: My companion had these, so I only have photos. Kodawari Komugi mainly distributes their bread outside of the area, so within Tokachi, they are only available at Toi and Noya that I know of. Of course, the taste of the bread can vary depending on the baker, so it's fun to find your favorite bakery. They are only open on Wednesdays, but they may have days off due to wheat harvesting, so it's important to check their Instagram. Starting from July 1st, they charge 5 yen for one plastic bag at the register. Thank you for the delicious bread!

This is a bakery that my partner discovered on Instagram. It is located on Route 214 of the Kawashimamemurone Line, on the right side coming from Obihiro, just before it meets Route 133 of the Onkoshin Line. We arrived around 11 o'clock when they opened. There was a flag outside the store with "Pan" written in yellow and red. Upon entering the store, we changed into slippers. They had about 20 different types of bread displayed, with clear prices including tax. They use 100% organic wheat flour for their products, and for muffins, they use 100% organic all-purpose flour from North America. Some of their products also use wheat flour made from their own milling at Nakagawa Farm. They are very particular about using ingredients produced without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. For example, their red bean paste is made from pesticide-free red beans, and they use organic sugar and milk. Although I personally don't mind if it's not organic as long as it tastes good, this bakery would be great for those who appreciate ingredients made without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Some of the breads they offer include: Sugar Butter Top for 130 yen, Anpan, Cream Pan, Chocolate Cream Roll, Melon Pan, Wiener Pan for 160 yen, Butter Top for 170 yen, An Butter Sandwich, Pizza Pan for 180 yen, Mini Sweet Potato Bread, Chocolate Chip Tear Bread, Onion Cheese Bacon Bread for 200 yen, Apple Muffin, Matcha White Chocolate Muffin for 140 yen, etc. They also have a takeout menu for drinks made with organic coffee at the register counter. Prices include Hot Coffee M for 200 yen, S for 105 yen, Iced Coffee for 200 yen, and Iced Cafe Latte for 300 yen. Among the items we purchased, the An Butter Sandwich was excellent. The not-too-sweet red bean paste paired well with the saltiness of the four-leaf butter. They tend to sell out quickly, so it's recommended to check their information on Instagram before going, especially since they only sell on Wednesdays.
