It has been a few years since my last visit. I have tried the Haru Ichimi Miso, Ebi Kakiage, and Kuro Hachi before. I am very curious about the superb salt as well. Today, I have been refraining from eating ramen regularly, so it has been a week since my last visit. I arrived in the evening with plenty of time to sit comfortably. Lately, even popular restaurants are easy to find seats at night, so I highly recommend it! Today's order was a tough decision, but as a reviewer, I decided to go with the most popular items: Haru Ichimi Miso Ramen (910 yen), Jiyoko Tamago with a runny yolk (free with a coupon from Tabelog), and Char Mayo Don (390 yen).
【Soup】 This miso ramen is made by the owner who used to work at Shirakaba Sanso, and it has a mild and gentle soup. It lacks a strong punch but is easy to enjoy with its creamy chicken broth base. It may seem a bit old-fashioned now, but it has a nice depth of flavor with a balance of pork and chicken umami, a hint of bonito and aromatic vegetables. It is delicious!
【Noodles】 The homemade medium-thick straight noodles are a perfect match for this miso soup. They have a slightly lower water content than Sapporo-style egg noodles and are less curly, but they go well with the broth. They would go even better with shrimp. The portion of noodles is generous, and the firmness is standard. They are smooth, chewy, and delicious. Recommended for those who are not fans of egg noodles!
【Chashu】 The seasoning of the chashu is just right and delicious. The only downside is that the seared chashu is too burnt! It's a shame. It seems like the chashu was over-seared with a gas burner, which leaves an unpleasant gas smell. Maybe it was just this time?
【Jiyoko Tamago with a runny yolk】 The runny yolk is just right, with a slightly thin seasoning that brings out the umami of the egg.
【Ingredients】 The minced meat, bean sprouts, cabbage, and onions stir-fried in lard are crunchy and delicious. The green onions are tasty, and the menma has a gentle flavor.
【Char Mayo Don】 The rice portion is free to upsize, but I opted for a regular size. The finely chopped chashu with a sweet and salty sauce coating, combined with mayonnaise, is a fantastic marriage of flavors! The meat and sauce are at the right temperature, unlike other ramen shops where they are often cold. Many ramen shops serve cold meat and sauce, right? For this reason, if you want to eat a chashu don, it's much better to make it yourself, but this shop's version is delicious! The rice is also delicious and highly recommended!
【Overall】 Despite cooking, the staff greeted me with a pleasant and warm greeting, rather than a loud and annoying one, leaving me feeling good and comfortable. It's impressive. They also have kids' ramen and table seats, and a wide variety of ramen options, making it suitable for families or groups of people. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal♪♪
