It's been a while since I dined with two Italian chefs, and every dish we had was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tuscan atmosphere. The chef's solo performance was impressive, and the service didn't falter. We ordered Arista di Maiale, Zucchini Flowers Fritti, Salsiccia Stracchino Bruschetta, Sautéed Green Peas, Pecorino Fritti, Finocchio Pecorino Bruschetta, and Calzettiella Pasta. The Ribolla Gialla sparkling wine from Friuli was a standout recommendation. Ortrugo white wine from Emilia-Romagna had a delicate citrus and musk aroma. The Chianti Classico red wine from Tuscany was a classic choice. The overall experience was excellent.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and everything was delicious. They recommended a bottle of wine to us, and we ended up finishing it easily. I wish I had ordered a little more since I was enjoying it so much. I now have an idea of the portion sizes, so next time I want to order more and have an even better time. I will definitely go back.

Visited Toscana in Sugamo, DA PEPI. Started with a spritz toast. It was fun figuring out the menu full of unfamiliar words while chatting with Sakichan. The Salsiccia and Stracchino bruschetta was meaty and the herb aroma was delightful. The fried dish with Pecorino was top-notch. The Gorgonzola Rosso and summer truffle pasta was simple yet flavorful, we couldn't help but exchange glances. It had been a while since we had a meal together, so we had so much to talk about that the conversation jumped around, which was entertaining! Our cravings for hometown dishes were successfully satisfied. The place was run by a single male staff. He seemed a bit aloof, which was a bit disappointing, but it wasn't a big deal. It took a decent amount of time for the food to come out, and although we ordered the summer truffle and mushroom dish, we were probably served the summer truffle pasta by mistake. Well, it was delicious, so it was alright, but the service was average.

It's about an 8-minute walk from Sugamo. The owner runs the place alone, so it's understandable that it takes a bit of time for the drinks to come out. Personally, I was impressed by the variety of non-alcoholic drinks available (0 types of non-alcoholic drinks). Some people can't drink, so it would be nice if they could take that into consideration.

"Dapepi" is a restaurant that has been awarded as one of the top 100 Italian restaurants in 2023 on Tabelog, where you can enjoy traditional dishes from Tuscany, Italy. Located in a quiet residential area along Hakusan Street, the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with only two tables and a counter seating for four, where the chef handles everything alone. We tried the 9350 yen course, which included dishes like focaccia, marinated tuna, tempura zucchini flowers, horse meat tartare, summer truffle pasta, additional pork dish, pudding, and espresso. The highlight was the summer truffle pasta, with generous amounts of summer truffle and cheese on thick, chewy pasta coated in rich cream. However, there were some disappointments, such as the lack of hot towels, slow service due to being understaffed, and feeling that the course lacked an extra dish. The dessert and coffee should have been included in the course. The wine prices felt high, making the overall bill seem expensive. While the main pork dish was well-cooked and tasty, it was overly salty, throwing off the balance of flavors. Despite these drawbacks, the authentic Italian flavors make this place unique and worth a visit. It might be better to order a la carte here rather than opting for the course menu. #Dapepi #SugamoGourmet #Italian #DeliciousItalian #SugamoDinner #TokyoItalian #FoodieConnect #GourmetInstagram #Gurunavi #FoodieWanted #FoodPornInstagram #FoodPornGrammer #TabeLog #TabeLogGrammer #FoodTerrorism #GourmetTravel #DeliciousIsHappiness #FoodieFriendsWanted #EpicureanClub #FoodieGirls #FoodieBoys #WantToConnectWithFoodies #KantoGourmet #FoodReviewGram #GourmetReport #FoodWriter #FoodJournalist #BGradeGourmetInformation #TokyoGourmet

The food is delicious, but the wait can be quite long since they are short-staffed. The dishes are simple yet very tasty, with careful seasoning. They have famous wines displayed in the restaurant, showing that they are carefully selected. I would like to revisit, but timing and choosing the right companion seem to be important due to issues with serving times.

At Dapepi, you can enjoy simple yet deeply flavorful Italian cuisine. My favorite dish there is the spaghetti with a rich sauce that coats it perfectly. The balance of ingredients and pasta is exquisite, and with each bite, you can't help but admire its deliciousness. I also recommend the pizza. The thin crust is crispy, and the fresh vegetables and cheese toppings enhance the flavor. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm, allowing you to relax and enjoy your time. The staff is attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Once you experience the delicious food and warm ambiance of Dapepi, you won't forget it. Be sure to visit and see for yourself.

Hmm. Is it because of being short-staffed? No welcome upon arrival, no explanation of the menu, wrong orders, and slow food service. Even the dishes that I once thought were delicious now seem to be a matter of mood... In fact, the steak at Peposo was dry.

Located just a few minutes' walk from Sugamo Station, "DA PEPI" is a popular Italian restaurant that is always bustling with people. Due to its popularity, advance reservations are essential, and please note that as the chef runs the restaurant alone, it may be difficult to reach them by phone depending on the time. The cuisine at this restaurant mainly focuses on Tuscan regional dishes, emphasizing the quality of the ingredients without unnecessary embellishments. Each dish, simple yet harmoniously balanced, is incredibly delicious. The cozy atmosphere of the small restaurant is very welcoming. Since it operates with just one staff member, the chef meticulously prepares each dish after ordering, making it enjoyable to leisurely wait while sipping on wine.

Finally visited Dapepi. Everything I tried based on my friend's recommendation was delicious, and the wine selection was to my liking. Despite being run by just one chef, the timing and service were pleasant, and the atmosphere was excellent. It's a restaurant I would love to visit again soon. The location is just the right distance from Sugamo Station, slightly away from the hustle and bustle.

[Dapepi] I'm exploring Italian cuisine with gourmet-loving girlfriends ✨ Dapepi in Sugamo, selected as one of the top 100 restaurants! The restaurant is covered in ivy, very stylish♡ The chef manages the 12-seat restaurant almost single-handedly! We started with a toast with sparkling wine and ordered these 6 items: - Coccoli Affettati Misti Stracchino Coccoli is Italian-style fried bread! Eating the hot and chewy Coccoli wrapped in prosciutto was amazing ✨ - Salsiccia e Stracchino Bruschetta I really, really loved this♡ The warm bruschetta was exquisite ❤️ - Amatriciana Pasta Thick and chewy noodles with a nice bounce. The rich tomato sauce was delicious! - Bottarga Pasta Plenty of bottarga!! Mix it all well, that's what they said. This was also delicious ✨ - Beef Grill The beef was grilled over high heat until crispy on the outside, of course, rare and juicy inside♡ Beef is always a winner! I love the dense lean meat - Pudding A separate stomach is always handy, a firm and rich pudding with coffee to finish The chef handles everything almost single-handedly, even consulting on the number of dishes for the initial order. It's a very nice restaurant, I definitely want to go again ❤️

Finally visited Sugamo's Dapepi as I had been wanting to for a long time. Except for us, the other customers seemed like regulars, and it's no wonder why. The delicious dishes that make you want to come back for sure were waiting for us. We had horse meat tartare, ragu pasta, karasumi oil pasta, zepolle with prosciutto, shirauo crostini, and more. Unpretentious but sinfully tasty flavors that grip your stomach and won't let go. Thank you, Dapepi! Just a 7-minute walk from Sugamo Station, but the menu is overwhelmingly in Italian, making it hard to grasp the overview. It would be ideal to brush up on it a bit on gourmet websites before diving in, as it's a bit difficult to ask the chef when they are handling everything alone. #SugamoGourmet #Dapepi #SugamoDinner #Italian #TokyoItalian #WantToConnectWithPeopleWhoLoveItalianCuisine

Located a 5-minute walk from Sugamo Station, "Dapepi" this time I ordered a la carte after being seated. Ordered items (☆ particularly liked menu) - Mushroom Insalata ¥1400 ☆ - Salsiccia Stracchino Bruschetta ¥1350 - Liver Crostini ¥700 - Anago Fritto ¥2500 - Ribollita ¥1600 ☆ - Tomato Sage Pasta ¥2000 ☆ - Veal Cutlet Stew ¥3600 The Mushroom Insalata was not like the sliced carpaccio I imagined, but a chunky type of salad. It had a good aroma and was delicious. The Salsiccia Stracchino Bruschetta was warm and had a wild, herby flavor that would appeal to those who like bold tastes. I was one of those who really enjoyed it. The Liver Crostini was also smooth and warm, with a satisfying liver taste. The Anago Fritto was fluffy with a crispy coating. I personally preferred it without lemon. The Tomato Sage Pasta was more like fettuccine than spaghetti, with a thick tomato sauce that coated the pasta well. The strong herbal flavor from the sage made it very tasty. The Ribollita was closer to a stewed bean dish than a soup, with plenty of vegetables and a homely feel. The Veal Cutlet Stew was unexpectedly tomato-based. It had a solid texture similar to pork when cut, and a delicious aroma of olive oil. The experience of being pleasantly surprised by the unexpected. Despite being understaffed, the service was prompt. The staff didn't engage in much small talk, and were rather neutral. It was delicious, but perhaps due to overeating and drinking (choice of wine?), the bill was higher than expected. A night that made me realize there are still many dishes I have yet to discover. It was delicious.

Nestled in a residential area a short walk from Sugamo Station, this forest-like restaurant appears suddenly. I remember thinking, "I wonder what kind of shop is hidden behind these leaves," when I stumbled upon it during a stroll in Sugamo a while back. It seemed they were closed during the state of emergency, so I had trouble finding a chance to visit. Even when I tried to make a reservation over the phone, I couldn't get through - timing is crucial. Since it's not a large establishment, reservations are a must. Despite visiting on a weekday, the place was fully booked. Luckily, I managed to secure a reservation. The other customers seemed like regulars. Perhaps due to the location, all tables were occupied by 7 p.m., and it felt like the evening would end early. The menu is extensive, making it hard to decide what to order. If choosing is a challenge, opting for a course meal might be a good idea. The dishes are adjusted in quantity based on the number of people. When I asked for a bottle of wine, several options were presented for me to choose from. The dessert choices were listed on a blackboard inside the restaurant. On the day of my visit, it seemed like the chef was handling everything alone. However, the pace was steady, and there were no issues. The chef appeared focused on cooking. The dishes, while simple, were robust and satisfying. The flavors were intense, likely appealing more to male diners. Everyone seemed to order the pudding for dessert, perhaps because it was the last one available. I'm not sure about the wine prices, but the total bill was higher than expected. Items I ordered that day included Mushroom Insalata (¥1400), Salsiccia Stracciato Bruschetta (¥1350), Liver Crostini (¥700), Fried Conger Eel (¥2500), Ribolita (¥1600), Tomato Sage Pasta (¥2000), Veal Cutlet Stew (¥3600), and Pudding (price forgotten). The Veal Cutlet Stew was a unique dish that turned out differently than expected. It might have been better to choose between that and a tomato pasta. The Pudding was a great way to finish the meal.

- Food is delicious - Generous portions - I revisited because it was so delicious last time. The menu is written in Katakana, making it hard to read, and there are no explanations, so it can be confusing, but it's fun to search and chat about it. The food is delicious and portions are generous. The prices listed on the menu are probably for two people. When you order a bottle of wine, they bring 3-4 bottles. They only had Italian wine available that day. The wine may be a bit pricey. Water is charged, and they serve Acqua Panna. The service is quite relaxed as it's run by one person, and the chef seems a bit unapproachable. It's not suitable for a date night. There are two tables for four people each and a four-seater counter, all of which were full. If you make a reservation around 7 pm on Thursdays or Fridays, you might have to wait as the menu has a wide selection. It's better to order everything at once. There wasn't much explanation when the dishes were served. - The bread for the appetizer is served warm. - Mushroom salad with lots of mushrooms, no vegetables. - Liver crostini with crispy bread and plenty of filling. - Salsiccia and stracchino bruschetta with a strong herb flavor. - Fried conger eel, simple and large pieces with flavorful batter. - Tomato and sage pasta with flat noodles, a pleasant surprise. - Ribollita with plenty of beans and spinach. - Veal stew in a tomato base, filling, slightly tough meat but delicious sauce. - Panna cotta filled with caramel, delicious. - Contratto Millesimato Pdse sparkling wine with a clean bubble but slightly warm. - Soave Classico white wine with a barrel-like taste despite not being aged in barrels. - Chianti Classico red wine with a strong vanilla flavor.

When I asked someone who knows authentic Italian cuisine, I was amazed by each traditional dish. The simple bitterness of radicchio sautéed in butter pairs perfectly with wine. The flavors of thyme and herbs in the spare ribs, horse meat tartare with Parmigiano and refreshing mushroom salad, all simple yet layered with deliciousness. The tagliolini with white truffle was truly delicious.

Located in Sugamo, "Dapepi." I've been curious about it for years, and finally got to go ♡. I was so clueless about Tuscan regional cuisine that I had no idea what to order from the menu... so I opted for the course menu! The Salsiccia bruschetta that I absolutely wanted to try was ordered separately from the course, and it might have been the most delicious♡ Red wine is a must! The pasta was also delicious, and I wish I could have tried more varieties ♡. The restaurant can accommodate about 4 groups. It's a one-man operation, but there was no sense of waiting, and I was able to relax at just the right pace ♡. Next time, I want to try ordering à la carte!! ★

An Italian restaurant located about a 5-6 minute walk from Sugamo Station. It offers Italian cuisine that seems to be inspired by the Tuscan region. I made a reservation and visited on a Friday night. The exterior of the restaurant is organic-looking, with overgrown grass on the walls. Inside, there are 8 table seats and 4 counter seats. The restaurant is quite small, giving a cozy impression. The chairs and tables are slightly unstable but have character. The chef seemed to be handling everything alone, but there used to be a lady helping with service in the past. The menu offers both set courses and à la carte options. The set courses were priced at 6,500 yen and 8,500 yen. This time, we ordered à la carte. Some items listed on the menu, like the mussels and the famous burrata, were not available. We ordered fried whitebait, sausage bruschetta, mushroom salad, porcini mushroom tagliatelle, and Lucca-style cutlet in tomato sauce. This amount was probably just right for two people. If you like pasta, you could skip some appetizers and go for two pasta dishes. The bruschetta was hot and very delicious (๑・‿・๑). Both the pasta and the cutlet were tasty. The dishes had a rustic feel and were a bit hearty with a strong salty flavor that paired well with alcohol. There were also solo diners and two other groups, making it a place you might want to drop by spontaneously for Italian food.

I finally visited here, which I had wanted to go to for a long time♡ I carefully selected the following items from the extensive menu: ・Fried whitebait (1,210 yen)☆ ・Liver crostini (770 yen)☆ ・Coccoli, prosciutto, stracchino (2,640 yen) ・Eel fritto (2,800 yen)☆ ・Summer truffle pasta (3,080 yen) ・White squid pasta (2,200 yen) ・Lampredotto (2,035 yen)☆ ・Pudding (650 yen) Everything was delicious, but the items marked with ☆ are highly recommended. The whitebait and liver crostini on the first and second plates are a must-order! I ordered white wine, but as soon as the liver arrived, I couldn't help but add red wine. The crispy texture of the fried eel and the perfect balance of its fluffy and voluminous flesh were irresistibly delicious...♡ All the dishes pair well with alcohol, making it a particularly recommended Italian restaurant for wine lovers. Since it's a one-person operation, the service may take a bit of time, so it's best to visit when you have some extra time to fully enjoy the experience!

Whether you choose a la carte or omakase course, this time we went with the omakase course. The menu is decided at that time. Since it's a one-person operation, it's difficult to find the right timing to call for attention, but when you order a glass of wine, they bring about 3 options and explain them to you. The atmosphere and dishes were authentic, and the portions were generous. It was delicious.
