On the final day of GW, I lined up in a long queue before noon. It had been a while since my last visit, so I wasn't sure if it was going to be busy or not. Although I hadn't posted about it, last month I went to the Tonden store on a weekday and was able to purchase my items quickly with only a wait for 2 groups. Today, I bought a total of 8 items, 2 each of 6 different kinds. Two pieces are enough for me, and I can feel full after eating three, but I can't narrow it down to just one kind (laughs). The paper bag I received was surprisingly heavy! It had a weight that was incomparable to convenience store or bakery sandwiches. Much heavier than fast food hamburgers. And yet, with all these purchases, it only cost 2200 yen. What incredible value for money. Due to the recent egg shortage, there were fewer egg options than usual, but they were still selling the popular items like the Double Egg and Teriyaki Tamago that I had my eye on. I always end up buying the Double Egg. The eggs are fluffy and generously included, and the ham isn't too salty, which is nice. As for the Teriyaki Chicken Tamago, my daughter thought the teriyaki flavor was a bit too strong and overpowering. She suggested removing a bit of the teriyaki chicken for a better balance. If you like strong flavors, it might be good. The hit this time was the Tandoori Chicken. I'm not very adventurous, so I didn't buy it, but my daughter loved it! I took a bite and it was delicious! I might try that next time. It tasted like a kebab sandwich with good spices! My son said he wants to try the curry that my husband bought next (laughs). It's sweet at first bite, but then a gradual spiciness comes through. Even kids could eat it. The Avocado sandwich here was sold as a set with a basil sauce, and the taste was unexpectedly different and interesting. It seemed like a special sale of Tonden store products, so maybe it's not usually available. My other choice was the Fish sandwich. It's reliably delicious.

I went to the popular Sandria and there was a long line, but it moved quickly so I was able to get in soon. The Shine Muscat was 390 yen, the W Egg was 250 yen, and the Coffee Fruit was 260 yen. Everything was delicious, and it was great to take out and enjoy while driving!

I watched a program on NHK and had always wanted to visit, so I decided to visit Sapporo. It's a bit of a walk from the tram station. The egg was 200 yen, the fruit was 250 yen, and the Shine Kyoho grape sandwich was 390 yen. Considering the portion size, it's surprisingly cheap. And it's tax-inclusive! The bread is moist and delicious. If you go to a convenience store, it's over 300 yen. It's wonderful. I bought some as souvenirs and unfortunately they got crushed on the way back. When I used to live in Sapporo, I often relied on this place for breakfast and lunch. It's open 24 hours, so it's great to be able to have delicious sandwiches anytime. When I arrived at 7 am, there were four people waiting ahead of me, all seemed to be heading to work. Inside the store, there was a large showcase displaying a variety of sandwiches, and at the back, the kitchen staff were busy making sandwiches. The sandwiches here are quite generous in size, so one is enough for two people! I bought a sweet one and a savory one. Back at the hotel, I immediately tried them out: - Egg Ham Potato Sandwich (250 yen): Consists of egg sandwich and potato salad sandwich, each with three slices of bread, filled with the main ingredients and ham. The egg sandwich had a gentle mayo flavor, and the potato salad had a smooth texture with just the right amount of mayo. Very filling! - Shine & Kyoho Grape Sandwich (390 yen): A limited-time offer and the most expensive one! The cross-section looks great with the green shine muscat and purple kyoho grapes. The large grapes provide a satisfying crunch, and the cream with a subtle sweetness complements them perfectly. This one is really delicious! I arrived at the shop around 7:00 PM on Sunday night and there were about 5 groups waiting in line. We shared the most popular double egg sandwich, a fruit sandwich, and shrimp cutlet for breakfast at the hotel the next day. The sandwiches were packed with fillings and very voluminous, and they were delicious. I thought shrimp cutlet for breakfast might be heavy, but the shrimp was firm and I finished it in no time. Even at night, the sandwich case was well stocked. Behind the register, many sandwiches were being made one after another, and I thought it was a wonderful shop where you can buy delicious sandwiches 24 hours a day.

The shop's B-grade charm was also quite enjoyable. This shop is so popular that they even installed a sandwich vending machine at Sapporo Station. Despite the long lines, the shop's customer-oriented approach is impressive. It was a great dining experience.

The plane was delayed, so I couldn't make it to the planned restaurant on time. My friend who came to pick me up was featured on TV, so we ended up at this restaurant instead. He felt bad for bringing me here first in Hokkaido, but it was actually quite funny, so it was totally fine (lol). I had shrimp cutlet and egg vegetable, and for dessert I chose apple strawberry. The ingredients were okay, but the bread was not that great. Maybe they avoid using too much water in the bread for freshness. Since it was late, I had the apple strawberry the next morning, and the strawberry jam gave a cheap but good taste.

I couldn't forget the delicious taste from last time, so I went to Sandria again. I got greedy and bought 6 different kinds, but my partner and I managed to finish them all (*^^*). The cream croquette, potato salad, shrimp cutlet, double egg, spicy burdock, and teriyaki chicken were all delicious. The bread was fluffy and tasty♡ I was surprised to see a long line when I went before noon. I will definitely go again when I visit Sapporo next time.

This is my 4th visit. This time, I ordered "Egg (200 yen)", "Teritama (290 yen)", "Squid Cutlet (300 yen)", and "Shrimp Mayo (310 yen)". I enjoyed them as soon as I got home. The Egg and Teritama were delicious as always. However, the Squid Cutlet I tried this time was not as different from the Shrimp Mayo as I had hoped. Overall, despite the recent egg shortage and price increases in ingredients, the price increase at this restaurant is minimal, showing their efforts to maintain quality. It's impressive. I wouldn't mind if they raised their prices a bit more. I will definitely be back for more.

The Tomato Tuna and Squid Menchi are not available at the Tonden store. This day, around 19:00 on a weekday, the parking lot was full with 3 cars waiting, which never happened before. On Sundays at 11:00, there was a long line that went along the wall to the far end of the parking lot and even turned a corner (I witnessed it but did not join). The store operates 24 hours, so there must be times when there is no wait at all, right? Only one register was open (two during busy times) but the turnover was fast because most people made quick decisions. As a side note, I understand that it can take time if someone is indecisive, so it's a complex feeling. It might be helpful to check the menu of the main and Tonden stores on the Sandria website before going. Personally, I think it's better to make a decision beforehand to avoid the disappointment of items being sold out. Although there is usually no shortage of items (items that are out of stock due to lack of ingredients are mentioned on the website), it can be difficult to decide when you're not sure what's included in the sandwich. It would be helpful if they clearly indicated what's included, like tonkatsu, cabbage, mayonnaise, etc. It can be confusing when you're not sure what's included and that might make it hard to decide. However, I highly recommend checking the menu before going and trying to decide quickly. It's fun to see all the different options they have and it's better to decide quickly!

From there, head straight west on Kikusui-Asahiyama Park Avenue and turn right at the corner of Hokuyo Bank, where you will find the shop on your left. I visited late at night on a weekday, so there were no other customers. The sandwich selection was plentiful, so I was able to take my time choosing. The employees were diligently making sandwiches in the back. After careful consideration, I purchased two sandwiches, which were placed in a paper bag with the shop's character printed on it. The Double Egg Sandwich (¥250) was the shop's most popular item, with ham and lettuce. It consisted of two slices of sandwich with plenty of egg salad. It was delicious. I also got the Cream Croquette Sandwich (¥290) after debating between that and the Squid Cutlet Sandwich. It was a corn cream croquette sandwich, and you could really taste the corn. In total, it came to ¥540. I left feeling satisfied and wondering if that was really all it cost. If you are staying in the Nakajima Park area, I recommend walking to the main shop. I will definitely go back when I visit Sapporo again next time!

Iran Kara Pute. ---------- July 2023 ----------During this time, there are many limited edition items, especially everyone's favorite "choco mint." The mint-flavored cream with chocolate chips is irresistible. My number one favorite is the "double egg," perfect for egg lovers. The saltiness of the ham adds a nice touch. The "squid cutlet" with plenty of thin tentacles is fried to perfection, better than chicken or pork cutlets in my opinion. I love squid, so I'm biased. The "teritama" with egg is always a winner. The sweet and salty combination of teriyaki sauce and egg never disappoints. If you go before snack time around 2 PM, it's relatively empty with just one customer ahead of you. But later on, it gets pretty crowded. Enjoy!

The filling was packed full, and the cost performance was excellent, so I end up buying it every time. Today, I saw for the first time that they sell a whole loaf of bread. They also had a coffee-flavored loaf for ¥400. Maybe it was because it was a weekday afternoon, but they also had bread crusts, which I gratefully accepted. I found out that if you add them as a friend on LINE, you can get a first-time coupon, so I'll use it next time. - Additional note - The double egg sandwich isn't just the addition of ham and lettuce, the saltiness of the ham and mayonnaise creates a different deliciousness from the egg sandwich, so I recommend savoring both flavors even if you can't eat them at the same time.

If you go around 9:00 on Sunday, there will be a line! You'll receive the approval of Sapporo citizens. But there are so many different kinds and it's so exciting! And it's cheap! The best! Of course everyone goes. We got egg, ham cutlet, basil tomato, and jam! I feel like I want to live in Sapporo.
