I will continue with the review of 2022. We visited an izakaya located on the 9th floor of a building along Kita 5-jo Street in front of Sapporo Station for a drinking party with my colleagues. All seats here are private rooms, which I think is suitable for dining during the pandemic. The entrance area had a high-class feel, so I thought it might be quite expensive when entering, but I was relieved to find that the menu was surprisingly reasonable. The menu had a decent variety of dishes, many of which were particular about Hokkaido ingredients. This time, we ordered various dishes like the ones in the photo, with drinks being all-you-can-drink and dishes ordered individually, but I found the quality of the food to be average. Since it is a completely private room, I think it is good for when you want to have a calm drinking party.

As soon as you leave Sapporo Station South Exit, you'll find this place. The location is excellent. The restaurant offers completely private rooms, making it a great place to relax. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. I ordered whitefish tempura, sea urchin bowl, Genghis Khan (grilled lamb), and torotaku (fatty tuna). I wasn't particularly impressed with the sea urchin bowl or Genghis Khan, but the whitefish tempura was incredibly delicious. I could eat it forever.笑

The location is convenient, right in front of the station. All seats are private rooms. Smokers have to smoke at the entrance. The private rooms have a sofa layout, making it quite relaxing and perfect for a leisurely drink. The oysters, clam sake steamed, and grilled kinki were decently priced, but the disappointment came with the sashimi platter of 7 pieces for 4800 yen! There was a 7-piece platter for 1600 yen on the menu, so why did it triple in price for three people? It felt like a mistake in terms of cost performance... This may not sit well with locals or tourists alike. The alcohol prices were a bit on the higher side, and going over 8000 yen per person for a regular izakaya level experience seems a bit steep. It might be better to go to a more upscale place for that price. Perhaps it's due to the location, but it's a bit difficult to consider revisiting this place. The staff's service was pleasant, so that's a plus point!

The taste is not delicious. The ingredients are not fresh. It's better for tourists from outside the area not to go. However, you can smoke in private rooms! The service is friendly and kind! It might be a good choice for local salarymen to go to after work.

A local private izakaya that tourists should definitely avoid. The staff can't explain whether the ingredients are local or not. The recommended dishes on the menu are not worth trying, as chain restaurants offer better options. There was no point in taking any photos as the food was not impressive.

I heard that the KinKi restaurant is recommended, so I ordered simmered dish and kettle rice. Both were delicious.

Kago-ya Sapporo Station South Exit Main Store. Solid private rooms. If smoking is allowed, this is the place to go. Close to Sapporo Station, I have visited multiple times. Great for business meetings or parties. Delicious seafood! Classic beer! Delicious!

We made a reservation for 5 people on a regular night. We sat at a table for 6, closed the door, and had our own private room. The atmosphere was calm and nice. We ordered a variety of dishes, including sashimi, and everything was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
