On May 28, 2023, I stayed at Furukawa Inn for one night with two meals included. It was a trip to celebrate my third son's sports day, his first baseball game, and to show gratitude to my hardworking wife. This was my first time staying overnight at Furukawa Inn since my last visit in January 2018. The inn has a retro and clean design, surrounded by trees, with a wonderful hot spring that is sourced from a natural spring. Everything was excellent, including the free drinks available. We stayed in room 527, a 10-tatami mat room with a spacious veranda, which had a warm and cozy atmosphere with black wooden accents. We explored the inn with our three kids, enjoying the lounge area where we could have coffee and apple sake. The hearth next to the entrance offered delicious sweet sake made from sake lees, which my wife loved. After settling into our room, my son did his homework while my wife and I headed to the hot spring. The atmosphere was amazing, reminiscent of my favorite Kurokawa Onsen. We were able to relax in a private setting and enjoy the hot spring to ourselves. Later, we visited the new communal bath, which had a sodium spring that was also fantastic. For dinner, we had the "Kawayutaka" course at the restaurant "Senshokuan." The meal included various dishes such as winter melon with minced shrimp sauce, assorted sashimi, fried hokke fish, grilled swordfish, and more. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the hokke fish and grilled swordfish. After dinner, we visited the "Teyamano Mori Night Lounge," where we could relax in a foot bath while enjoying hot wine and sweet treats. The next morning, my wife and I woke up early to enjoy the hot spring and have morning coffee in the lounge. The breakfast buffet included delicious dishes like salmon and yogurt. Overall, we had a fantastic time at Furukawa Inn, fully enjoying all the amenities it had to offer. We managed to get a great deal using Jalan points, coupons, and national discounts, making the total cost only 20,188 yen. My wife was thrilled, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

I was feeling quite tired due to being busy at work and the hot weather, so I decided to relax my body at Jozankei. Furukawa-San is known for its delicious food! The rooms and hot springs are clean and beautiful, and the prices are reasonable, which is why it's so popular. It was also the venue for the second game of the 63rd Osho Title Match last summer. The interior design has a rustic feel, which gives it a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. This time, I enjoyed a meal with plenty of Hokkaido summer ingredients, including whole tomatoes, grilled duck, and fried summer vegetables. My tired body and mind were able to relax once again. Additionally, the Nakajima Bunko, located within the inn, showcases antique art pieces, mainly focusing on Eastern ceramics. It's also worth a visit if you're interested.

Special floor "Tsukiboshi", seasonal kaiseki "Yamafukami" with Furano beef Ishiyaki course ✨ Despite spending many years in Jozankei, Furukawa had never had the chance to visit because it was too close. However, with a mysterious confidence that if it was Jozankei Onsen, it must be Furukawa, he was able to stay in a special room at a great price through the Rakuten Super Sale 5% off + travel support. The hotel has 5-6 lounges (each with free drinks), a large communal bath, and an open-air bath with natural spring water flow. The 8th-floor lounge also offers free alcoholic drinks for special room guests. If you stay at Furukawa, you must stay in a special room on the 7th or 8th floor‍♀️‼️ Since moving to Tokyo, I have stayed in many ryokans in the Kanto region, but I was impressed by the quality of Hokkaido once again. The food is delicious with generous portions, and while a normal steak meal might come with 2-3 slices, here they serve a generous 5 slices. I visited the cozy inn Furukawa! The delicious food and relaxing atmosphere were amazing. This year, the Sapporo Snow Festival is being held, so I was looking for a highly recommended inn in Jozankei and came across Furukawa. When I come to visit my family during my business trip to Sapporo, I always enjoy looking for various inns. In Jozankei Onsen, there was also a snow lantern festival, and I was able to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere. Now, as for Furukawa, it was even better than I had imagined! There were many relaxing spaces throughout the inn, where guests could sit on sofas, rocking chairs, or zabuton cushions, relax, read magazines, enjoy art, and of course, enjoy drinks and desserts while taking in the snowscape. The service during dinner was excellent, and I felt safe and reassured about hygiene. The dishes were very stylish and refined, and each one was delicious. I overindulged in the luxurious breakfast buffet, which only offered Japanese cuisine this time, without bread or Western dishes, which I thought was perfect. I was able to relax to my heart's content soaking in the hot spring, feeling like I had returned to my rural home. I truly felt at ease. If I have the chance, I would love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

It's been a while since I stayed at Furukawa Inn. This time, I opted for the celebration course. I already knew that Furukawa's food was delicious, but the celebration course was amazing. In addition to the usual wall decorations and special cushions, there were extras like salt-grilled sea bream, gold leaf sake, cake, and more. The amount of food was impressive, and the taste was excellent. I would love to stay here again anytime.

Furukawa Inn was fully booked last year, so this was our first time staying there. When we checked in, my husband mentioned that he is not a fan of seafood, and they were very accommodating, changing all the dishes for him - sashimi was replaced with crab, yellowtail hot pot was switched to pork, and even breakfast with grilled fish was changed to char siu. We were impressed by their attention to detail. However, the inn is undergoing multiple expansions, so it was a bit confusing to find the location of the hot spring, and our dog kept barking all night towards an empty area. Overall, it seems like we won't be returning, but the food was good. Thank you for the meal.

The store is well-maintained, with a variety of baths that cater to the needs of guests. All dishes are delicious. The stone-grilled Japanese beef is not too fatty, the sashimi is fresh and lively. Most importantly, the hair crab has perfectly firm and fresh meat, earning a perfect score!

I stayed here. The service and taste are both excellent. You can enjoy sashimi and steak. In this type of cuisine, many dishes rely only on the taste of the broth rather than a strong salty flavor, but I think the combination of various seasonings and broth creates a rich yet not overpowering taste, with a wonderful sense of balance. I visited Furukawa at Jozankei Onsen. The building has a retro atmosphere with a Showa-era feel. Upon arrival, you are welcomed with sweet sake. The lounge offers a variety of complimentary drinks such as apple sake, onion soup, vinegar drinks, and courses. There is also a special night lounge called "Jozan no Mori Night Lounge" that opens only at night. Here, you can enjoy the beautiful starry sky of Jozankei, relax with a drink surrounded by the night forest, and soak in foot baths or visit the healing lounge. They also offer free drinks like hot wine and soft drinks. For dinner, you can enjoy the "Yamafukami" course at the private dining room "Kian". The course includes various dishes made with local Hokkaido ingredients. The baths include the "Okuno Yu Yumegami Bath" with a meditation open-air bath using 100% spring water, as well as a large communal bath with a gender swap system. There are also facilities like a hot spring steam bath, a high-concentration hot spring hydrogen bath, and an open-air bath. For breakfast, they offer a countryside-style Japanese buffet with a variety of dishes like freshly cooked rice, fluffy rolled omelette, fatty grilled salmon, homemade mugwort porridge, steamed seasonal vegetables, famous duck meatball soup, seasonal sashimi, homemade pickles, and fragrant miso soup. There are about 35 different dishes lined up, but they do not serve bread.

I stayed at a hotel using a discount coupon. The dinner was served dish by dish, and the presentation was beautiful and satisfying. However, the grilled beef at another table was smoky, which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast was a buffet, and everything was carefully prepared, making it the most satisfying buffet I have ever had at a hotel. It was a shame that I couldn't have the limited quantity of rice cooked in a pot. In the daytime lounge, there were coffee, fruit liquor, cakes, etc. However, it seemed like there was a shortage of staff as the ice quickly ran out and was not replenished. I tried to make a café latte with the espresso machine, but it seemed like the milk was out, so I couldn't make one. Even if I wanted to ask for help, everyone seemed busy with the check-in procedures.

Furukawa Inn has now become a popular inn representing Hokkaido. I have stayed at their inn in Otaru before, but this time I stayed at their inn in Jozankei for the first time. I was in a dreamlike state with their carefully selected hot springs and well-equipped post-bath salon while enjoying the meal. The seasonal local vegetables and top-quality seafood were delicious without a doubt. Personally, the corn dish served at the beginning was the most delicious. Overall, the refined dashi broth was well balanced, and the dishes were well put together. The portion size was also satisfying. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. For dinner, I ordered the Furano Beef Ishiyaki, but... it was placed on a salt-covered stone, and as I tried to pick it up, the meat slipped and rolled on the salt, becoming incredibly salty. I tried to shake off as much salt as I could before eating, but it ended up being the saltiest meat I've ever had. The saltiness still lingers in my memory, and just thinking about it makes my face grimace. That was not good!

On this day, we visited the popular inn, Furukawa, in Jozankei. We were excited to try their food, as many reviews mentioned the generous portions and delicious flavors. The interior had a warm and rustic atmosphere, like visiting a grandmother's house in the countryside. The staff were all very friendly, giving off a familiar and welcoming vibe. While stylish hotels are nice, this cozy and friendly atmosphere was quite comforting as well. We started off by soaking in the hot spring, which was perfect for the still chilly April weather in Sapporo. Then came the highly anticipated dinner! The seasonal kaiseki meal "Yamafukami" included dishes like soramame tofu, Hokkaido red potato soup, sashimi, and more - each dish was delicious and the portions were huge, just as rumored! My friend gave up around the time the meat dish arrived, so I happily finished her portion too. The grilled Furano beef was especially tasty. The next morning, we enjoyed a buffet-style breakfast that was equally delicious, starting the day off happily. It's no wonder why this inn is so popular - we were completely satisfied with our stay. I also liked the homely atmosphere, perfect for a girls' trip or a family vacation. I definitely want to come back with my friend again! Make sure to book early during peak season - highly recommended!

"Furukawa, a warm inn" was a hot spring inn that I had been interested in for a while, so I finally had the chance to visit. Luckily, I was able to make a reservation and the place was almost fully booked, which is a good sign that things are returning to normal after the pandemic. I arrived at the inn a bit early and enjoyed some amazake by the hearth and complimentary soft drinks and aperitifs in the lounge. I relaxed at the lounge "Deai-dokoro" on the 1st floor before heading to the large communal bath for a soak. The new facilities built in 2018 include outdoor baths, a hydrogen bath, and a steam bath, which helped me reset before dinner. For dinner, I enjoyed the seasonal kaiseki meal "Yamafukami" at the restaurant "Senshokuan". The meal included various dishes like fruit liquor, sora-mame tofu, sashimi, tempura, grilled dishes, salads, soup, rice, and dessert. The service included a welcome drink if you book an early time slot, which was a nice touch. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with the sashimi being particularly impressive. After a satisfying dinner, I relaxed in the bath and then spent some time at the lounge "Kokoronosato Teizan". The next morning, I had a country-style breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options and high quality. The staff were very hospitable and provided excellent service, making me very satisfied with my stay. I will definitely be coming back to this inn in the future. It was a truly satisfying hot spring trip!"

The other day when I went to the hot springs, I was asked what time I wanted dinner and I chose 6pm. The sashimi was very fresh and satisfying. Various dishes were brought out and I was able to eat until I was full. It was a very satisfying place with the hot springs as well.

Let's relax with my mother at Jozankei Onsen. We took the free shuttle bus "Furukawa" from NHK at 2:30 pm. We each had a seat to ourselves and enjoyed the view from the window. It was a bit too early for the autumn leaves, which was a shame. When we entered the hotel, there was a complimentary "sweet sake" service by the fireplace. It was just the right amount of sweetness to relax. We reserved a private dinner at the renovated dining room "Kian" to enjoy our dinner. The seasonal kaiseki "Yamafukami" was the menu. The room we stayed in was a newly renovated room called "402 Keiryu," and we were the first guests after the renovation. The room had a new smell to it. There was a massage chair in the room, which we used multiple times while watching TV. For dinner, we had a kaiseki course called "Yamafukami" at the private dining room "Kian" on the second floor. The dishes were delicious, and we enjoyed a drink service with beer and wine. After dinner, we visited the Nature Illumination at Nimura Park, which was conveniently located behind the Furukawa. The projection mapping was beautiful. We also visited the Night Lounge "Tokiyama no Mori" where I tried hot wine for the first time and loved it. The three buildings - the accommodation building, the hot spring building, and Tokiyama no Mori - were connected by a corridor, which was a bit complex. The hot springs were spacious and clean, and we enjoyed soaking in them. The next morning, we had a Japanese buffet breakfast at "Senshokuan" with a variety of dishes. We took the hotel's shuttle bus back to Sapporo at 10 am, which took a different route and made the trip more enjoyable. Overall, we had a pleasant 18.5-hour stay at the hotel.

I requested a set menu for breakfast instead of a buffet. Breakfast was also served in a private room, decorated with a koto and dolls in the alcove. The salad with wasabi dressing had a variety of vegetables, and there was a parfait on the menu. The crab rice was filled with plenty of crab. The tofu was smooth and gentle in the morning. The ceramic container contained seafood, and when hot water was poured in from the rim, steam rose up. The salmon was moist and delicious with a rich flavor. The thick rolled omelette was cut at the table by the chef and had a subtle saltiness. The miso soup was delicious in the morning. The baked pudding dessert had a crispy top like crème brûlée and was quite sweet. It was perfect with black tea. I was full from breakfast (*´∀`*) I wonder why I can eat so much in the morning when I go out. Haha.

I stayed overnight at the hotel for the first time in 2 months! The meals were served in private rooms, which made me feel safe even in these times. The appetizer had a strong sour taste, which was refreshing. It helped my digestion, but it was a bit too stimulating for my daughter, so I ended up eating two servings (ˊᵕˋ;) The sashimi was beautifully presented! My daughter loves the tuna prepared by the chef, so she was very happy this time too. The sea urchin was also perfect for summer♡ We also enjoyed the side dishes. The hot dish was quite filling, and I thought a slightly smaller portion would be better. The palate cleanser was easy to eat and had an interesting touch that we don't make at home. The grilled dish was meat cooked on a stone! It was visually appealing and got us excited. The meat had a good chewiness despite its appearance. The shiitake mushrooms were delicious too. The cold dish was shrimp, which we don't usually see. It had a nice sweetness and was tasty. The rice had an interesting combination of corn and squid, without any fishy smell and was delicious. I'm not a fan of red miso soup, so I didn't enjoy that... The dessert was smooth and very delicious. I have a separate stomach for sweets (*´∀`*) Even though we were full, we went to the lounge!! The pineapple juice was delicious. I can't drink beer, so I felt a bit frustrated that I couldn't fully enjoy it, but I relaxed while nibbling on snacks. There was also an outdoor foot bath, but the bottom was slippery, and I almost fell in. Luckily, my daughter who was already sitting down supported me, and I managed to avoid getting soaked, but you have to sit down before putting your feet in (ˊᵕˋ;) My daughter, who was suddenly body-slammed by me, complained that her shoulder hurt for a while! The service staff during the meal and at the lounge were friendly, and we had a great time♡

I visited for the first time. I have been to Furukawa in Torajima Beach, but this is my first time at Jozankei. The exterior looks old, but the baths are clean, and the management inside the inn is well taken care of, making it a pleasant stay. Now, at dinner, some dishes had a strong sour taste or a strong salty taste, but overall they were delicious! The sashimi was fresh and perfectly aged. However, one thing, the seasonal saltwater sea urchin was just too salty. It only tasted like salt. There was no sweetness or flavor of the sea urchin. It was disappointing. The tsubu (sea snail) was incredibly delicious. The portion sizes were good, so I was quite full. I tried my best to eat along with the high school student who has a big appetite, while I, who always has a good appetite, also tried my best. Laugh.

I suddenly had to stay overnight with my family. I have been greatly supported by this place for work and have stayed here several times before. As always, the staff greeted us with a smile. The bath has been renovated, and I have been there once before. My favorite is the mugwort steam bath and hydrogen bath. I went to the underground bath for the first time - it's a bit dim, but very calming. The temperature of the water was just right. I was very satisfied with the dinner, filled my stomach. Breakfast was not the usual buffet, but it was nice to be able to eat slowly. Even though it's in Sapporo, it feels like we went on a trip far away. It was nice to be able to relax.

The meal was served in the room, so it wasn't freshly made. You can choose between meat and fish dishes, but for the price, it was a bit...hmm. It seemed like there were a lot of elaborate dishes. I wish there were simpler dishes like just grilled meat or fish. At a mountain hot spring inn, having regular sashimi felt a bit lonely. I wanted to eat something more mountain-like. The meat dishes were good, with vegetables wrapped around them, but while there was plenty of rice, the presentation was lacking. It's a bit disappointing. Assuming it's 30,000 yen per person.
