I haven't eaten at Sumire since the Fukuoka store (which is now gone) in Imazumi. It's a nostalgic feeling to be able to eat Sumire for the first time in its hometown. As expected, even on weekdays late at night, the line never stops until closing time, truly embodying the legendary status of the store. However, despite the long line, I think the wait for a seat is relatively quick. [Sumire * Today's Order] - Miso Ramen - Salt Ramen (half) First of all, be careful as the soup is piping hot and doesn't cool down quickly! The soup base is made up of pork bones, seafood, and vegetables, with toppings like green onions, chashu, menma, bean sprouts, and onions adding complexity and depth to the flavor. The rich and powerful soup, which doesn't lose to the pure and rich tonkotsu of the original Hakata style, intertwines with the curly noodles, creating an unbeatable strength. A bowl that embodies the timeless and universal value of Sumire, characteristic of Sumire. I will try to go at a time when there is not much of a line next time. Thank you for the meal. - Thank you for reading until the end. If you liked the review, please like, follow, and save the restaurant. Thank you.

I tried the famous Sumire miso ramen at a restaurant in Sapporo. The ramen, which has been around since 1964, has a modern twist to it. It has a strong punch with plenty of lard. I lined up at 8:45 and waited for about 45 minutes, but the time passed quickly as I chatted with travelers from other prefectures. However, the first drink was a bit disappointing. The taste of the ramen was delicious, but personally, I prefer it with less lard.

I gave up on the long line from the previous day. Since I came to Hokkaido, I decided to eat something, so I lined up for about 50 minutes and finally got in. I had the miso ramen for 900 yen. I was surprised by the hotness of the soup, but I ate it all in silence. It's a very popular restaurant with high expectations, but the deliciousness definitely lives up to its popularity. I was very satisfied.

I finally found the restaurant I've been wanting to try in Susukino and started lining up around 11 PM on a weekday. It took about an hour to be seated, but it was an enjoyable time. I ordered the classic miso ramen. The miso flavor was just right, not too spicy, and the amount of noodles was perfect. Personally, I found it very delicious.

I went to a super famous Sapporo miso ramen shop. I thought I arrived early but there was already a long line! It's really amazing... The miso ramen had a strong and delicious flavor. Thank you for the meal!

When you come to Sapporo, you must try "Sumire" ramen before you leave! The soup is coated with oil, so the ramen stays hot until you finish it! The combination of miso and ginger is excellent. The noodles are also delicious and go well with the soup. However, on this day, I had to wait for 1.5 hours to eat. It would be better if the wait time was a little shorter!

Located in the center of Susukino. Although the line outside the store moves quickly, I waited for about 30 minutes. The miso ramen is worth the wait. They also offer a half-size ramen which is perfect for finishing off a drinking session. I am completely satisfied with a half-size miso ramen and a beer.

In August 1964, Sumire Ramen opened its first shop, quickly becoming a popular spot. Despite several closures and relocations, it gained nationwide recognition when it opened a branch at the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum in 1994. You can even find Sumire Ramen being sold at Seven-Eleven stores. The main shop is located in Nakajima, Sapporo, but this time I visited the Susukino branch, a bustling tourist area and nightlife district. Even late at night, there was a long line. After about 8 minutes of waiting, the miso ramen arrived. The presentation was like that of a champion. The miso ramen from Sapporo is right here, it seemed to say. Toppings included green onions, menma, and chashu, with hidden onions and bean sprouts. The soup had a vegetable aroma reminiscent of shiitake mushrooms. When I scooped up the soup with a spoon, a burst of steam rose up, almost burning me. It was definitely Sumire's ramen. The rich miso flavor combined with the taste of pork bone, with a hint of ginger and garlic that wasn't overpowering. The noodles were twisted, medium-thick noodles from Nishiyama Seimen, coated in delicious lard, giving them a shiny appearance. They had a firm texture, perfectly clinging to the soup. And boy, was it piping hot! For more information on toppings and details about the shop, click here: https://webdesign-gourmet.com/hokkaido-47

On the second day of sightseeing in Hokkaido, we finally arrived at the miso ramen place in Susukino. As soon as we got off the station, we noticed a conspicuous line and decided to join it. Despite the late hour, there were around 50 people in line. After waiting for about an hour, we were seated at 11 o'clock. Since it was our first visit, we ordered the miso ramen (regular) and rice. You could choose from large serving, regular serving, or half serving, which was very considerate for those planning to visit multiple restaurants. The noodles were slightly thick and delicious when mixed with the soup. The soup was surprisingly not too rich and we finished it all. It was as delicious as we had hoped for, and we had no regrets waiting for an hour!

I arrived at the restaurant at 5:50 PM on Sunday and waited in line for 1 hour and 50 minutes before being able to eat. I had miso ramen, which had a surprisingly light flavor for miso. It was a taste I had never experienced before. They also have soy sauce ramen, so I might try that next time.

On the final day of my Hokkaido trip, after enjoying an exquisite bowl of ramen at the top-notch Junren, it was a must to confirm that flavor at another famous shop, Sumire! So, I changed my plans and headed to Susukino. Junren, founded by Muranaka Akiko in 1964, quickly captivated the people of Sapporo with its rich miso ramen. Later, the shop was renamed to Junren for clarity. On the other hand, Sumire, founded by Muranaka Nobuyoshi in 1989, also offered rich miso ramen and gained nationwide fame by opening a branch at the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum in 1994. I arrived in front of Sumire on a Sunday at 7:20 PM, and there was a long line extending from the second-floor shop down the stairs to the sidewalk. After waiting for about 50 minutes, I got my miso ramen and shoyu ramen. It was a hearty bowl with more fat and a stronger flavor compared to Junren, catering to students, athletes, and laborers. The noodles had switched from Morizumi Seimen to the iconic Nishiyama Seimen used by Sapporo Ramen. While I could see why Sumire's punchy flavor gained nationwide popularity, after comparing the two shops, the delicate balance of lard and soup, the harmony with Morizumi Seimen noodles, and the perfect blend of umami, saltiness, and richness gave the edge to Junren. I look forward to visiting the original Junren shop in Naganuma next time, perhaps for a salt ramen showdown. Sapporo Susukino store of Sumire has over 20 people lining up under the stairs! How many people are actually waiting? It took 1 hour to get in! The miso ramen with extra noodles (1300 yen) and half-boiled egg (200 yen) were delicious as always! It was worth the wait! When going to Sapporo, it is a must to try the delicious ramen. This time, I visited after 4 years since the pandemic. It was still very popular, and even though it was past 10 pm, I waited in line for about 40 minutes. It had been a while, but the miso ramen was as flavorful as ever.

I fell in love with soy sauce ramen since I was impressed by it in the past. This time, I visited a crowded Susukino restaurant as a tourist. After waiting for 30 minutes, I finally got a seat. Despite debating between miso and soy sauce, I ordered soy sauce ramen. I was satisfied, but once again I understood and appreciated the faithful quality passed down from the original restaurant in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo, called San Toraji.

I visited the restaurant on a Monday in July at 9 PM. There were about 30 people waiting at that time, so I had to wait patiently. I was seated at 9:40 PM and my bowl of ramen arrived at 9:45 PM. I ordered a large serving of miso ramen, even though it's not the healthiest choice before bed. The noodles were medium thickness and the soup had a strong miso flavor. It was richer than the miso ramen at the original Jyuraku restaurant. The soup had a good balance of richness and sweetness, making it delicious and unique compared to others. I can't quite put it into words, but it was incredibly tasty. I finished every last bit of the hot ramen. Thank you for the feast.

I had miso ramen for 1,100 yen at Sapporo Sumire Sapporo Susukino store in Chuo-ku, Sapporo. The hot and rich miso soup, sealed in by lard, paired well with the curly yellow noodles, and I enjoyed it very much. (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

On the second day in Hokkaido, I went to Sumire, a ramen restaurant I hadn't visited in a year. Despite a long line at 9:30 PM, the wait was worth it. I ordered a half-size miso ramen and Sumire rice. The ramen was delicious, just like I remembered. Even though I thought instant ramen was good, nothing beats the original. I will definitely be back!

I visited here after a business dinner in Sapporo. Even though it was past 10:30 PM, there was a line of over 20 people waiting. I have tried ramen at food expos, cup noodles, and convenience stores, but this was my first time trying it in Hokkaido. It didn't have as much lard as I expected and wasn't very hot. The soup was delicious, but I don't think it's worth waiting in line for so long. It feels more like a famous local ramen for tourists. The chashu also costs 100 yen per slice, so I wish they would put in a bit more effort.

Located in the bustling Susukino district, Sumire is a popular miso ramen shop. I lined up at 9:30 PM to try their famous "Shime Ramen," but there was already a long line forming in front of the shop. The line kept growing rapidly, with people attracting more people, creating a funny sight. It took exactly one hour from lining up to receiving the ramen due to the incredible popularity of the place. When it comes to Hokkaido, Sapporo miso ramen is the first thing that comes to mind - a rich miso soup with corn and butter, a heavy and indulgent dish. However, the miso ramen I had today was surprisingly light, with no butter or corn toppings. Personally, I miss the strong and distinctive miso flavor that is characteristic of Sapporo miso ramen. Today's menu: Miso Ramen for 1,300 yen, Miso for 1,100 yen, and Spicy Tama (egg) for 200 yen.

I visited "Sumire," which is considered the epitome of Sapporo ramen for the first time. I wanted to go to the main store, but ended up going to the Susukino branch due to various circumstances. When I arrived around 8 p.m., there were about 10 people waiting in line. I chose the miso ramen at the ticket machine, and was able to use my transportation electronic money. When the ramen arrived, it was indeed delicious. The first bite was quite salty, but as I continued eating, the miso flavor also came through, and I enjoyed it until the end. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Sumire for the second time~ I had some drinks and then finished with ramen. I think it's quite high in salt, but it's delicious. It's a shame I couldn't eat the fried rice. I feel like the flavors are stronger after drinking than when eating normally.
