The background music was J-pop from a while ago. You can order drinks individually, and they are considerate in that even if not everyone is drinking, it is still possible to order separately. I ordered some dishes that I don't usually eat, and everything was delicious. The Hokkaido beef kalbi yaki was served raw for you to cook yourself, just like in the menu photos. The cream cheese tempura was also delicious, with a surprising sweet jam on the side. The chicken skin skewers were crispy but a bit salty. I ordered more zangi and dashi tamagoyaki because I still had room. There was a wide variety of noodle dishes to choose from, and I was torn between ramen, fried rice, and pork cutlet, but ended up choosing rice balls with salmon and plum fillings. The desserts were not too sweet, with a good balance in the pudding and a rich cheesecake. The Calpis water was light and refreshing, and at 330 yen, it was a good deal. They also offer complimentary edamame for snacking. The service from the staff, especially the girls, was excellent. There is Wi-Fi available, and they have a smoking area. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

On a certain day in March, I had a drinking party with my colleagues at work. It also served as a farewell party because one of them will be transferring in April. The location was "Iroha Nihoheto Chitose Store" in Sapporo, Chitose City, Sakimachi 3-chome. We had Asahi Super Dry draft beer, which was delicious and ice-cold. I have visited Iroha Nihoheto Chitose Store a few times before, and I have written about it once in the past. The course we chose this time was the "Nigiwai Course" for 3,000 yen per person, which included all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. The price was very reasonable considering that it included Asahi Super Dry and 35 dishes. We started with four dishes that were served before ordering: sashimi, daikon salad with edamame, steamed Sakura-hime chicken hot pot. Then we ordered various dishes such as pickled vegetables, chicken meatball skewers, quail marinated in soy sauce, chicken thigh skewers, fried chicken, potato fries, salted hormone iron plate grill, homemade rolled omelet, boiled Vienna sausages, shishamo fish with roe, horse mackerel with shiso leaf, adult black curry, and more. The ordering was done through a touch panel system, and the food and drinks were served promptly. It was a satisfying experience for 3,000 yen. One of the colleagues transferring mentioned that the moving cost for their family from Chitose to a not-so-far place within Hokkaido would cost over 300,000 yen. It seems like moving costs have increased significantly compared to the past, even for a relatively short distance. Despite the financial burden, they are determined to do their best at their new location.

I visited the "Iroha Nihoheto" restaurant chain for the first time at the Chitose branch in September 2018. We had a 3500 yen course which included all-you-can-drink with food. The quality of the food and drinks was quite good for the price. They offered real beer in the all-you-can-drink course, along with a variety of other drinks. The main dish was a hot pot, and they also served sashimi, tempura, pizza, and other dishes. The overall rating was average at 3.0, with the service rating being 3.5. The female staff member who served us stood out for her excellent service, showing great hospitality and attention to detail. Even though it is a budget-friendly restaurant, her service made us want to visit again. While we may not visit for a regular meal, we had a positive experience this time.

The deliciousness of stability

During a business trip to Sapporo in November 2017, I had dinner at a chain izakaya called "Iroha Nihoheto Chitose Branch" near Chitose Station. Since I couldn't find a hotel in Sapporo due to a live performance by Tohoshinki, I stayed at a hotel near the airport in Chitose. There weren't many restaurants around, so I stumbled upon this izakaya. I had the all-you-can-drink (standard course) for 1,380 yen, an appetizer for 380 yen, a sashimi platter for 839 yen, grilled crab miso in the shell for 899 yen, and juicy fried chicken for 439 yen. I enjoyed hot sake (6 cups) with my meal. The food was decent, with the crab miso being the highlight. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I went back to my hometown and went out drinking with my mother and oldest brother. It was a weekday, so the place was empty. It brought back memories of my early 20s when I used to come here often. It hasn't changed at all since then. I realized I can drink more now compared to when I was younger. Back then, I had to carefully choose snacks and drink slowly because I had no money. Now that I have money, I drink like water. We got a deal with all-you-can-drink beer for 980 yen per person, with a minimum of two items ordered. We had some appetizers and dishes, and my brother ended up catching a cold because he was shivering from the cold air conditioning. I only had a pickled cucumber, but the chicken wings were quite spicy. Overall, we paid 8,176 yen for the meal. It's a great deal for an old restaurant in Chitose City. I hope they continue to do well.

I am on a business trip in Chitose yesterday and today. Last night, we had a social gathering at "Irohanihoheto Chitose Store" located in Sapporo. I believe it was a 4,000 yen course. We finished the hot pot with udon noodles. Thank you for the meal. After that, we went to a couple of snack bars and came back to the hotel today. No ramen this time.

I wonder if you need a strategy to eat cheaply at an all-you-can-eat place?

The ramen salad here is delicious! At 700 yen, I initially thought it was a bit expensive, but it's packed with ingredients and really tasty. Personally, I really liked the modern yakitori! It has a strong flavor, but that's typical of izakaya dishes, right? Surprisingly, the modern yakitori costs 600 yen, which is less than the ramen salad. I recommend sharing with a group and trying both dishes. The restaurant interior is quite open, with only curtains at each table for privacy, but you can still see others.
