Near Tanuki Koji 6-chome in Pattaya, the shrimp in the Sapporo shrimp curry menu had a nice firm texture with the tails still attached. However, despite acknowledging this, I ended up leaving some behind. The restaurant was dimly lit and we had the place to ourselves, making it a great spot for those who want to enjoy Thai beer incognito.

I have visited Tom Yum Goong several times, although I have not reviewed it. Upon receiving a request, I decided to visit again after a long time. I ordered Tom Yum Goong, squid and shrimp salad, grilled chicken, stir-fried shrimp, etc. I asked for a medium level of spiciness, but as a spicy food lover, I adjusted the spiciness by adding extra chili peppers. It was a nice change of pace to visit this restaurant again.

■ Thai Cuisine Pattaya I love Thai cuisine ❤️ It's been so many years since I last visited Pattaya ❤️ Red curry style chicken stir-fry S 1000yen Khao man gai S 1200yen They had a Lemongrass Mojito ❤️ I forgot to take a photo, but it was my first time trying it ❤️ Lemongrass is the best ❤️ The owner is from Thailand and was running the restaurant alone on that day ❤️ He was smiling and very kind ❤️ Couples, groups of 5 guys, and us waiting for takeout, he handled everything from taking orders, preparing, cooking, serving, making drinks, all by himself ❤️ Amazing ❤️ The food was also very delicious ❤️ The Khao man gai had a nice aroma ❤️ The rice and sauce were a bit sweet, especially recommended for those who like sweet flavors! The red curry chicken stir-fry was spicy and incredibly delicious ❤️ It was so tasty ❤️ Thank you for the meal ❤️

On a certain holiday, I stumbled upon a Thai restaurant in Chuo Ward, Minami 3-jo Nishi 6-chome, which used to only open in the evening but seemed to be serving lunch now. I climbed up the stairs of a small building to the second floor where the restaurant was located. The interior was decently spacious with tables equipped with splash prevention sheets, and the windows were open. Local music was playing softly in the background. For lunch that day, there were three options to choose from, and I decided to try the "Pad Thai S (900 yen)". The menu had a surprising variety of options. After a short wait, my dish arrived. It was essentially stir-fried noodles, similar to yakisoba. The rice noodles had a medium thickness with a slightly chewy texture. The flavor was sweet and sour, with a hint of sauce. I mixed in some chili peppers for spiciness and cautiously added a thin soy sauce-like condiment for saltiness and umami. I also tried adding a sauce similar to Okinawan Koregusu for extra flavor. The dish included plump shrimp, egg, bean sprouts, chives, cilantro for aroma, and dried shrimp. I finished off with a light chicken broth soup with tofu and green onions. Although lunch options were limited to three choices, I envied the variety available for dinner. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Located near the Sapporo Susukino Minami Sanjo Nishi 6 intersection, on the 2nd floor of the building next to the ramen shop "Hakata Ippudo," is a Thai restaurant called "Pattaya." I visited for the first time around 7 p.m. during my trip to Hokkaido in early October. The stylish and oriental-themed interior with dim lighting and Thai decor created a nice atmosphere in the restaurant, which has a total of 30 seats including counter and table seating. I was seated at a 2-person table on this day. The main customers at this time were two women, and the restaurant was almost full. There was a Thai man cooking in the kitchen and a Thai woman serving in the dining area. I looked at the menu on the table and ordered "Oolong Highball" (600 yen) and "Som Tam (Papaya Salad) (S)" (1000 yen) on this day. "Som Tam" is a popular Thai salad dish made mainly with green papaya, carrots, tomatoes, dried shrimp, peanuts, and a spicy sauce. As someone who enjoys spicy food, I requested it to be extra spicy. The "Som Tam" arrived promptly. I took a bite and it was spicy!!! But delicious!!! I underestimated that it wouldn't be too spicy since there were mostly women in the restaurant, but it was mercilessly spicy. I couldn't resist the spiciness and hastily ordered "Sticky Rice (Khao Niao)" (505 yen) to alleviate the heat. For drinks, I ordered a "Yadon," which is a Thai herbal liquor. It has a unique taste, so not many people order it. I used water as a chaser. The sharp spiciness of the Som Tam and the unique taste of the Yadon surprisingly complemented each other, and I enjoyed both dishes. That was all for this day, and I paid the bill. Thank you for the meal.

Sometimes I crave stimulation and visit Manytais, but I prefer this place because the coconut flavor is not overpowering.

The restaurant has a nice casual atmosphere. I ordered Tom Yum Goong and Khao Man Gai. The flavors were adjusted to be more suitable for Japanese people, but I found them a bit lacking in depth. The prices were on the higher side, so I won't be coming back.

I visited the restaurant for the first time on a regular night. I was worried it might be crowded and we wouldn't get in, but we managed to get a table for two! There were two groups of customers already there. It's a rule to order one drink and one dish per person. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The menu had a lot of options, so it was hard to decide what to eat. I always order Pad Thai. I also tried the stir-fried shrimp with cashew nuts and the stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts, both in small sizes, and they were all delicious. I realized that I'm not a fan of spicy food. I would like to visit again in the summer. The staff tried their best to speak Japanese, which was nice. The coconut ice cream was also delicious! I'm satisfied with my visit to this popular restaurant. Thank you for the meal! It's currently my favorite Thai restaurant.

After a series of formal Japanese meals, I felt like trying something different. Just at the right time, I was invited by the older sisters of the idol team B to go out for Thai food. So the three of us decided to go to Pattaya for some authentic Thai cuisine. It's been more than 10 years since I last visited in the scorching heat of summer, and I remember sweating profusely due to the spiciness and lack of air conditioning. This time, we chose a place without air conditioning to truly experience the Thai atmosphere. We enjoyed some beautiful sights while toasting with our drinks. Despite the heat and spiciness, the food was delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes like fresh spring rolls, spicy salad, stir-fried water spinach, grilled chicken, spicy shrimp soup, shrimp fried rice, fried oysters, pork tom yum ramen, and pad thai. It was a feast! The dishes were perfect for those who love cilantro and spicy flavors. It's a great place for a girls' night out. After indulging in cilantro, I felt like I burned off the calories, so we decided to have parfait for dessert at the second venue. It was a delicious meal!

The dish had a chili mark but was not spicy at all. The sauce served with it was sweet chili and quite sweet. There was no set of condiments on the table to make it spicy. Sometimes a condiment with green chili is served, but it's not spicy. Overall, even when ordering a large portion, it feels like a small amount. Compared to other Thai restaurants in the city, it felt the most expensive. The drink, Singha beer, was around 700 yen which is also on the pricier side. If you're looking for spicy food, this might not be the best choice. But if you're not a fan of spicy food and just want to enjoy some Asian flavors, it could be a good option.

I love Asian cuisine! I've been curious about this restaurant for a while. When I walked in, it felt like I was in Thailand! (I think so, I've never been to Thailand...) The staff seemed to be Thai too! (I'm pretty sure) I ordered the Pad Kra Pao and a juice!! (probably guava juice) There weren't many customers, so the menu arrived quickly! The smell of cilantro hit me right away, just like the real deal! If you don't like cilantro, you definitely won't like it... (I'm okay with it) The well-seasoned Pad Kra Pao tasted just like the authentic one. The interior and the drink were a bit sweet, but it really made me feel like I was in Thailand!! The staff took a while to come for the bill, maybe it's difficult to understand Japanese...

If you mention a Thai restaurant on Tanukikoji Street, is it Pattaya or Manny Thai? I had been to Manny Thai before, so I decided to try Pattaya today. There are really few people here today. It's just past 9 PM, but the street is sparse and all the shops have few customers. It's nice to be able to enjoy a quiet and delicious meal, but it's a bit lonely. I ordered the spicy Larb Gai (chicken salad) and stir-fried water spinach with extra spice. The fruit frozen cocktail with Caribbean and strawberry was unexpectedly spicy but delicious! The water spinach with fish sauce was quite spicy and tasty, but something felt a little lacking. I love Larb Gai, it was deliciously spicy. However, the cilantro was so big and abundant, like chrysanthemum leaves! I still prefer the young leaves with a stronger fragrance. For now, I ordered something light, so I'll come back to try the recommended Massaman curry and Gai Pad Krapow next time.

This is a Thai restaurant located on the second floor a little off Tanuki Koji street. The atmosphere is stylish, with Japanese women handling the service and Thai men in the kitchen. I ordered various dishes, but for curry, I chose the Poopapong curry. There were options with and without shells, and I went for the one without shells as it was cheaper. The curry had a generous amount of eggs, which made it very delicious. It wasn't unnecessarily oily, which was nice. The crab legs were a bit difficult to eat with the shells on, but they had a strong crab flavor. Among other dishes, the Beef Black Pepper Fry was perfect as a drinking snack and very tasty. The spiciness from the black pepper and chili was just right. It was delicious on its own or with sweet chili sauce. The only downside was that the prices were a bit on the higher side. Both drinks and food were priced about 10-20% higher than average. Despite the prices, the quality was worth it.

Sometimes I have a craving for Asian cuisine, so I searched on Tabelog for a Thai restaurant to visit. I decided to visit Pataya near Shiseikan Elementary School Station in Sapporo. I used to like "Ban Thai" in Shinjuku when I lived in Tokyo, so I wanted to find a favorite Thai restaurant in Sapporo by visiting different ones. Upon arrival, I made a reservation and found that I was the only one there at first. But soon, other customers started to arrive, mostly women and couples, filling up the cozy Asian-themed restaurant. The ambiance felt like a bustling street food market. For drinks, I opted for Mekong Whiskey as the beer prices were a bit high. The food menu was easy to understand with photos and descriptions, making it easier to choose. I ordered the Tom Yum Kung, Thai-style fried rice, Grilled Chicken, and Thai Ramen Salad. The Tom Yum Kung was a must-order with a good balance of sweet, spicy, sour, and savory flavors. The Thai-style fried rice had a unique taste, and the Grilled Chicken was juicy and flavorful, especially with the accompanying sauce. The Thai Ramen Salad was an interesting fusion dish with a rich aroma and a pleasant taste. Overall, the restaurant lacked proper ventilation as cigarette smoke from neighboring tables affected the aromatic experience. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the Thai cuisine and will definitely be back for more. It was a satisfying dining experience.

Sapporo Chuo-ku Minami 3 Nishi 6. Located on the north side of the intersection where Seven-Eleven is, along the vertical street. Take the stairs up from the small entrance with glass doors to the 2nd floor where the Thai restaurant is located. The Gai Yang (grilled chicken) here is the most authentic I have tried among all the Thai restaurants in Sapporo! The restaurant is called "PATAYA". Inside, the walls are all orange, with Thai flags hanging on the windows and Asian-style shade lamps hanging from the ceiling. The decor is a mix of "Japan from a foreign perspective" and "Sawasdee Thailand". The chef, Manoi, who came from Thailand, is a very friendly and fun person who loves Japan and Sapporo. He has been training in Thai cuisine for over twenty years in hotels and restaurants in Thailand. The menu offers a wide range of dishes from Isan cuisine (very spicy) to royal Thai cuisine. I always end up ordering the same dishes because I love them, like the Pak Boong Fai Deen, Som Tum, Gai Yang, Tom Yum Kung, and Khao Man Gai. The Gai Yang here is particularly delicious, with a thick and juicy chicken that is grilled to perfection. The Som Tum salad is also very spicy and refreshing, perfect with a cold beer. The Tom Yum Kung noodle soup has a rich and complex flavor profile, and the Khao Man Gai is a flavorful chicken rice dish. Thai cuisine is all about balancing sweet, spicy, sour, and salty flavors with herbs, and this restaurant does it perfectly. If you love Gai Yang, this place is a must-visit!

Located between Tanukikoji 5-chome and 6-chome, on the second floor of an old building, is a restaurant run by a Thai chef. I have tried to go for lunch several times before, but it was always closed. Finally, I was able to go this time. - Gapao Gai Rice This dish consists of minced chicken stir-fried with basil, coriander, and other herbs, with a sweet and savory seasoning. It is flavored with nam pla. The rice is long-grain Thai rice, fluffy and perfect to soak up the flavorful sauce of the Gapao. It is quite spicy, but when eaten with a fried egg with a runny yolk, it becomes milder. It was very delicious. - Gaeng Keow Wan This is a green curry with chicken. The rice is also Thai rice. The soup is light, with ingredients such as meat, eggplant, red bell pepper, and plenty of thinly sliced bamboo shoots. Compared to other green curries I have tried, this one has a slightly less coconut flavor and sweetness. Instead, the flavor of nam pla is stronger. It has a unique aroma, spicy and rich in umami, very delicious. Even though I usually eat green curry as a soup without rice, this one made me want to eat it with rice! Both dishes came with seaweed soup and basil seed drink. The seaweed soup is light and a good palate cleanser after spicy dishes. The basil seed drink has a slightly slimy and chewy texture, with a subtly sweet and refreshing taste. It was a nice dessert after the meal. However, the appearance of the drink was a bit off-putting for my companion. Both dishes were delicious, but I was particularly impressed by the Gaeng Keow Wan. My companion, who isn't a fan of coconut, also really enjoyed it. Other dishes on the menu looked tempting too. I would definitely like to go back to this restaurant.

For the first time, I tried authentic Thai cuisine. The decorations in the restaurant create a Thai atmosphere, and the smiling Thai chef adds to the experience. I ordered a cocktail with fresh strawberries and pineapples, which was delicious. The stir-fried water spinach was my first taste of Thai cuisine, and even though it was spicy, I enjoyed the flavor that Japanese people like. The shrimp spring rolls, Thai-style fried rice, and chicken with basil sauce were all delicious, but also spicy. The spiciness adds to the flavor, and I feel like I might get addicted to Thai cuisine. I would love to visit again.
