I had half-fried chicken and zangi. The half-fried chicken was incredibly delicious! I recommend eating it freshly fried. It's quite large, so if you can't finish it, they provide a container for you to take it home. The zangi was average. I really want you to try the half-fried chicken.

Family and I went for a stroll at Mycal (everyone tends to call it Wing Bay haha) doing patrols, and we got thirsty and a little hungry. Took a break at the first floor of Aeon to buy some alcohol, then headed up to the food court on the second floor. The smell of "naruto" always lures you in, right? Almost everyone was eating naruto there haha. I felt like having a hearty set meal, but also wanted to have the kake udon from Uoichin after a long time. So, I decided to wait at the counter with a view of the sea. It was a Saturday and there were many families, but luckily there were plenty of seats for solo diners like me, and I found many fellow solo diners too. When I placed my order, they gave me a buzzer and I was called in right away. I ordered: - Zangi x2 (¥150 each) They were just fried and perfect! The skin was crispy and the inside was juicy, the best! Freshly fried is always the best, right? Goes well with alcohol. They are quite big, so even one is satisfying. It's nice to buy some alcohol during the cool weather, get some zangi and enjoy it on a bench outside while looking at the sea. By the way, I wonder if the taste of zangi at the main store and the zangi at Narutoya are the same? I feel like the main store had more ginger flavor which I preferred. Not sure though (mystery). The main store is always crowded, so it's good that there are plenty of seats here and you can eat anytime. It was a good meal.

Today, I went shopping at the Snoopy Tea House in Otaru (for my wife, just to be clear). It's about 80 kilometers from Iwamizawa. I wonder if my love for my wife is getting through? For lunch, I decided to have half fried chicken. I thought about going to the Chinese restaurant Narutoken nearby, but it was too crowded. So, I headed to Wing Bay. It turned out to be a food court. I ordered the "Young Chicken Set Meal (1250 yen)" and also saw a sign next to the register for "half fried chicken (1 piece for 130 yen)." Wow! I immediately ordered the half fried chicken. When it arrived, it was quite a sight! It was my first time trying half fried chicken, and it looked impressive. Now, how do I eat this? Should I break it apart? I used chopsticks to pull it into three pieces. The taste was delicious, with just the right amount of salt and different textures in each part. It was amazing! Oh, and a little tip for Narutoken: "the rice is not enough!" Also, please provide wet wipes next time. Next up, the half fried chicken. It was so good that I couldn't stop eating rice. As for the half fried chicken, I couldn't stop drinking beer (although I couldn't drink today as I was driving). And then, the half fried chicken and the half fried chicken. I thought the Narutoken's half fried chicken was delicious! Otaru was really tasty. I'll definitely be back. Eating while looking at the sea in Otaru was a great experience!

This is Narutoya located in the food court of Wing Bay. I visited on a weekend afternoon and was able to order right away without waiting in line. I ordered the chicken nanban, zangi, and bonjiri age. They only accept cash payment. I enjoyed my meal at the counter seat with a view of the sea. The zangi was a bit dry, but the bonjiri was juicy and delicious. The chicken nanban had a crispy exterior and a moist interior.

Having lunch at the Wing Bay food court with my wife, daughter and son-in-law, and grandchildren. It was a Saturday lunchtime and the place was about half full...perhaps due to the impact of the coronavirus. Each of us brought food from different stalls. We shared the "Fried Half Chicken @980" from "Otaru Narutoya". After paying, we waited for about 10 minutes and got our freshly fried, crispy hot chicken. I love the skin, but my daughter almost took it all haha. Personally, I think the seasoning is a bit strong, but the flavor balance is good. Especially when it's freshly fried, it tastes so good. While half-fried or fried chicken is usually taken to go, I prefer eating it fresh. I'll definitely go back to either of the places. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant in the food court at Wing Bay, also known as "Mycal," in Otaru after about a year and a half in October 2018. The last time I rated it 3.5 stars, mainly because of its high cost performance. The chicken curry was delicious and only cost 380 yen (now it's 390 yen during lunchtime). The rice and curry were both tasty. However, when I visited again after a long time, it had deteriorated significantly. First, look at the rice! Compare it to the previous one. Even though I used a different phone to take the photos, you can judge by the color. Also, look at the portion size - it has decreased. I ended up with leftover curry because there was too much sauce. Next, take a look at the salad. It used to be crunchier, right? The reason is... you can probably guess. It was because the food court was empty. Even so, it was really disappointing. However, the curry sauce itself was still very delicious! That was the only saving grace. The taste of the curry was still to my liking. I hope that things will improve and return to how they used to be when the situation stabilizes.

This is Otaru. The god of low-carb, Hanmiage. It has expanded its stores everywhere, and Narutaya no longer seems as unique as before. The menu now includes not only Hanmiage, but also hamburgers and curry, making it more like a set meal restaurant. But Narutaya is all about Hanmiage, right? I added rice as a service to my colleagues with my set meal! Hanmiage was piping hot and couldn't be torn apart at first! I struggled to use chopsticks to eat it! The perfect seasoning made it even more delicious. I am fully satisfied with Hanmiage and miso soup. It's delicious, isn't it? Hanmiage! Thank you for the meal.

In Otaru, there is a place called Wing Bay Otaru, which used to be called Mycal by the locals. On the second floor, towards the Chikko Station side, there is a food court with affordable restaurants like Marugame Seimen, Mos Burger, Uo Isshin, Ramen Yoshimi, and Narutoya. I chose the Chicken Curry from Narutoya for 380 yen and the Kake Udon from Marugame Seimen for 290 yen, making it a total of 670 yen. The Kake Udon from Marugame Seimen is well-known for its delicious broth. As for the Narutoya's curry, it was also delicious with the perfect level of thickness and spiciness. The fact that you can enjoy this tasty curry for 380 yen is great value for money. Narutoya is known for its chicken dishes, like the half chicken for 950 yen, but the affordable and tasty curry is a delightful option. The generous portion of rice and curry sauce served on a silver plate with a silver spoon may not be the ideal presentation, but the delicious taste makes up for it. Narutoya's effort to bring delicious food to various locations is commendable, even though the traditional Otaru charm may be fading.

The expectations may have been too high, or perhaps because it was a takeout, there wasn't that much excitement. However, the half-fried chicken had a great volume and was delicious! The zangi had a good kick of ginger, which was also good.

【March 2018 Visit】My daughter got hooked on skiing and begged us to go back to Hokkaido Kiroro after 2 months. The resort liner (high-speed bus) was full, so we took the JR train to Otaru with our 7 and 4-year-old kids and a lot of luggage, haha. I had my eye on the food court at Wing Bay, a shopping center directly connected to Otaru Chikko Station. Inside, I found the Otaru Narutoya Wing Bay Otaru store and aimed for the fried chicken half. It had a hearty visual and the kids were thrilled. Breaking down this hot chicken with your hands is incredibly delicious. It's dangerous, juicy, and too delicious! The kids ate it with great enthusiasm. If you can eat this, maybe taking the JR train instead of the bus is fine! The food court at Wing Bay Otaru is convenient and you can try Otaru's local specialties! I want to go back again! Now, let's take a taxi to Kiroro! I later found out that Narutoya will be at the Hokkaido product exhibition at Hankyu Umeda from April 11th. I will definitely go buy it! ❤️
