I went to "Genghis Khan Jotetsu Main Store" in Chuo Ward. The location is in Sapporo, Chuo Ward, Minami 7 Jo Nishi 5-chome, modeled after a merchant town from the Edo period. The interior is spacious with counter and table seating. I started with a toast with beer, which was Sapporo Classic. The Genghis Khan pot with special slits from Jotetsu is cooked over charcoal using an authentic charcoal grill. The lamb is thickly sliced and very tender. They use Chuck Roll, a soft cut of shoulder loin only. The sauce is Jotetsu's special "Jotetsu Buried Sauce (soy sauce-based)" with freshly squeezed garlic for extra flavor. The taste is refreshing with plenty of fish-based dashi in a soy sauce base, and the garlic enhances the flavor. The savory aroma of the lamb cooked over charcoal is delightful. The Chuck Roll, carefully grilled over charcoal, has minimal gamey taste, is incredibly tender, juicy, and delicious. It pairs well with the light sauce and goes perfectly with beer. The hormone has a good texture and the lamb wiener has a strong lamb flavor. The salted mutton Genghis Khan has a unique taste but still captures the essence of Genghis Khan. I enjoyed the generous portion of delicious raw lamb at a reasonable price. The service was quick despite the crowd, making it a Genghis Khan specialty restaurant worth revisiting.

I visited the restaurant on a slightly cooler weekday night in early September. The seats were full, so I think you need a reservation to eat there. The main dishes were raw lamb, thick-cut raw lamb, and salted mutton, and I tried them all. The best one was the thick-cut raw lamb eaten rare. There was only salt available for the mutton, so sorry if you were looking for something else. If you love mutton, you might find it a bit lacking. Also, I was seated at the table farthest back, where the fan's breeze didn't reach due to the exhaust fan, so it was very, very hot. But eating Genghis Khan while sweating was still delicious.

When it comes to Hokkaido, Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) is famous, and Daruma-san is a well-known restaurant. My friend found this place on YouTube and made a reservation for us. As someone from Kyushu, I wasn't very familiar with Genghis Khan and was worried it might have a strong smell. However, I was shocked! It was really tender and delicious! This place completely changed my concept of Genghis Khan. I ordered the Tabibito Half Set and added some individual items later. I was amazed by the freshness of the raw lamb. It was incredibly tender and surprising. It seems to be a popular restaurant, as I saw many people being turned away without reservations. This was my first experience with Genghis Khan in Hokkaido, so I can't compare it to others, but I highly recommend this place.

It's so hot!! You need to be prepared to go in the summer! I recommend the shoulder loin and thick cuts of meat, they are very delicious! However, it's so hot that your clothes will smell really bad! If you can endure that, then you should definitely go to this restaurant! You can really feel the local vibe there!

The popular Genghis Khan restaurant was investigated. The staff were polite and the beautiful ladies guided us very well. We entered shortly after the opening, but it was quite crowded. Reservations are probably necessary. I couldn't drink alcohol, so I asked for water. I ordered the Traveler's Trial Set and rice. The charcoal grill was already set up with onions and bean sprouts ready. They melted the fat a bit as soon as it arrived, and we started grilling and eating. The set included raw lamb (shoulder loin) and thick cuts, Genghis Khan sausages, and asparagus. The rice bowl was quite large even in the regular size. Since it was raw, they assured us that it was okay even if the inside was red. The Genghis Khan with its delicious shoulder loin with the taste of lean meat was enjoyable, and the thick cuts provided a good chewiness. The sausages had a strong lamb flavor, but personally, it wasn't my favorite. The sauce had the standard Genghis Khan taste. The rice went well with the meal. I thought I used a coupon from Tabelog, but it wasn't calculated. Due to various reasons, I don't think I will revisit.

Visited around 8:00 pm on May 5, 2023, made a reservation by phone around 6:00 pm on the same day. The restaurant was almost full. The Traveler's Trial Set for 2 people is cost-effective and perfect for finding your favorite lamb. The raw lamb slices are thick and seasoned with special salt and pepper. They are incredibly tender and by far the most delicious lamb I've ever had! This place is highly recommended when you want to eat Genghis Khan in Hokkaido!! Also, it's nice to have a 10% off coupon available.

I tried raw lamb for the first time and I was so impressed by how tender and delicious it was. I started with a beginner set that allowed me to try different types, then I ordered more of the delicious raw lamb (thick cut and regular), and finished with ramen.

Today, I visited Jutetsu at the request of a friend I haven't seen in 20 years. It was my first time at this restaurant and I was excited to go inside. It was quite crowded that day, with a 90-minute time limit. But 90 minutes was enough for a first meal together. The menu was surprisingly limited, with only about 5 types of meat and no lamb chops, which I love. We ordered a variety of dishes and compared the flavors, and the most delicious one was the seasoned Genghis Khan.

It's delicious. No complaints. You can enjoy various types of meat, which is great. The taste is a step above all-you-can-eat places. I felt at ease with the all-you-can-drink option. I made a reservation, so the service was smooth and I had an enjoyable time. The sausages are delicious too, and I want to go back again. The location is a bit tricky to find, so use a map app to get there. They also take your coat at the entrance, so you don't have to worry about it getting smelly.

Located near Nakajima Park in Susukino, this Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) restaurant is highly recommended for those looking for delicious Genghis Khan outside of Hokkaido. The restaurant has a nice retro atmosphere, and you can hang your coat in a separate room to avoid any lingering smells. The meat here is simply delicious - there's something special about it that sets it apart from other places. Even without sauce, the Genghis Khan here tastes amazing. While Genghis Khan is a common home-cooked dish in Hokkaido, the flavor here is something you can't replicate at home. It's a popular spot among locals and definitely worth a visit!

The previous restaurant was a typical one, but I decided to try a different one this time. The exterior had a traditional Japanese style with a luxurious feel. I noticed that the raw lamb was reasonably priced at 950 yen on the menu outside, so I decided to visit. The restaurant was located on the second floor and had a spacious counter and large tables, making it quite accommodating. Compared to the previous restaurant, the draft beer was reasonably priced, so I ordered a Sapporo Classic for 490 yen. For meat, I ordered raw lamb jingisukan for 950 yen and salted mutton jingisukan for 750 yen. The vegetables included a small amount of onions and bean sprouts, but if you want extra onions, it costs 300 yen. The homemade-like sauce was light and might be good for those who prefer a mild flavor. You can add chili pepper and sesame seeds from the table, and if you order garlic, you will receive a garlic press. The meat was mostly lean for the raw lamb, and although they recommended eating the mutton without sauce, I found the seasoning a bit bland and ended up using the sauce. There was little gaminess, but the meat was quite tough. Overall, it was a bit disappointing. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant based on the recommendation of an acquaintance living in Sapporo, and made a reservation for 19:00. However, due to rain on a weekday, it seems that I could have entered without a reservation if I chose to sit at the counter. I ordered the recommended raw lamb Jingisukan and the special thick-cut raw lamb with salt and pepper. Both were very delicious, but the special thick-cut raw lamb with salt and pepper was so delicious that I wanted to keep chewing it forever!

In Sapporo, my last meal was Genghis Khan (grilled lamb). I couldn't find the restaurant I was looking for, but I stumbled upon a place that looked delicious. The restaurant was almost full, but luckily we got a table. I ordered the traveler's set menu with some extra salted lamb and vegetables. Grilled lamb and vegetables with beer and highball, what a perfect combination. Personally, I really liked the salted lamb. I prefer the sauce to be a bit thicker though. I haven't eaten Genghis Khan at many places, but overall, I think this restaurant is among the tastier ones. I liked it so much that I decided to go eat Genghis Khan in Tokyo occasionally even after returning home.

In Hokkaido, the night is for Genghis Khan (grilled mutton). We were recommended this place by our driver and went up to the second floor to sit at the counter. It was my first time trying it, so I asked the staff for recommendations and placed my order. The staff were friendly and the food exceeded my expectations! I finished everything quickly and even went for seconds. There were also people dining alone, making it a cozy atmosphere. Thank you for the delicious meal! ♡

The restaurant is located a bit deep in the drinking district, so I was nervous when I first walked towards it. However, the inside of the restaurant was very lively, and the staff's service was very pleasant. The menu options were not overwhelming, making it easy to decide. The "Thick-Cut Salt and Pepper Raw Lamb" was especially delicious, with no gaminess and easy to chew despite being thick. The mutton had a slight gaminess to it. Overall, the lamb was easier to eat. I went with two other women, ordered as much as we wanted, drank, and it came out to around 4,000 to 5,000 yen per person. Both the food and service were excellent, so I would definitely like to visit again when I go to Hokkaido.

I visited without a reservation and had to wait for about 30 minutes as all tables were full. There was a separate room to leave our coats, and the staff were very attentive and made us feel comfortable. Be warned, your clothes will definitely smell like the food! The Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) was reasonably priced and tasty, although it's hard to tell much difference in taste between different places. The standout feature was the excellent customer service at this restaurant.

It's been a while since I had Genghis Khan barbecue! There are many restaurants to choose from, but I decided to go to Jotetsu, which has high ratings. The restaurant is located on the edge of Susukino, just across the street from the love hotel district. After climbing a steep staircase, I entered the crowded restaurant even though it had just opened. As a first-timer, I ordered the Traveler's Set, which includes recommended Genghis Khan barbecue with two types of meat and half a portion of sausages. In addition, I also ordered the salted lamb Genghis Khan barbecue. I loved the thick slices of raw lamb Genghis Khan, so I ordered an extra serving. The beer was also great, and the total cost was around 3000 yen per person. I was very satisfied! I was so satisfied that I forgot to use the 10% off coupon, so be sure to remember to use it!笑.

The charcoal grilled Genghis Khan barbecue restaurant had a unique iron pot, and it seemed like group customers were common. The all-you-can-eat and drink style was popular, even though they were operating with shortened hours. Alcohol was still being served, so I happily toasted with beer and highball. I tried the raw lamb, thickly sliced seasoned lamb, and lamb sausage with asparagus traveler set. I also added the seasoned Genghis Khan for a trial. I started grilling with some trial and error, then switched to a Yubari melon sour... which was a bit of a mistake (laughs). The rich dipping sauce made the alcohol go down smoothly. Is it common to eat it with white rice? I added too many vegetables and pork sausages in the mix, maybe? It's not easy to eat as you might think for a first-timer. I added more raw lamb and thick slices, and also added raw garlic to the sauce for a different flavor. It was delicious, but I didn't feel the urge to go back again. Maybe if I went with someone more experienced in eating Genghis Khan barbecue, it would have been even more delicious (laughs). Thanks for the meal!

The restaurant is located on the second floor, with a separate room at the back of the entrance to store coats and other items to prevent them from smelling. Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats in a U-shape and table seats. This time, four of us visited and chose the "120-minute all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink (3900 yen) + all-you-can-eat salted hormone (200 yen)" option. Just to clarify, they offer all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink separately, but not just all-you-can-drink. We started with the Sapporo Classic draft beer as a toast. The draft lamb was thickly sliced and quite delicious! I'm usually not a fan of lamb, but this was surprisingly good! The salted hormone had no unpleasant smell and was tasty. The onions and bean sprouts were a nice palate cleanser. The sauce was a slightly sweet soy sauce type that you could adjust by adding your own spice, which I also liked. Overall, I was very satisfied. I feel like I could easily go back alone, so I've decided to revisit this place.

Famous restaurant in Susukino. The entrance is covered with signatures of sports players and celebrities. Arrived on a Friday night around 8 pm and had to wait for about 15 minutes as the place was full. The young male staff members were efficient and friendly. Opted for a la carte instead of the all-you-can-eat option, choosing raw lamb and thick-cut raw lamb. It was recommended to cook the raw lamb thoroughly for better texture. The salted mutton jingisukan had a unique flavor that I personally highly recommend. Noticed several people ordering ramen with the leftover meat sauce as a finishing touch, so I would like to try that next time.
