[Access] Located just a short walk from Toyosui Susukino Station exit, it is easy to find even for first-time visitors. [Atmosphere] I went on a weekday night after 8 pm, and the seats were full, but I managed to get in as I had made a reservation in advance. The interior was lively with customers in their 20s to 40s, mostly office workers. [Menu] [Taste] As mentioned in other reviews, every menu item is delicious, but I highly recommend the curry (just the roux). Unlike the typical curry rice or soup curry, here at Kotei-ya, curry is enjoyed as a side dish with alcohol. I was initially skeptical about just having the roux, but it turned out to be perfectly balanced in flavor - not too spicy, with a homely touch, and pairs excellently with alcohol. [Service] The staff is friendly, energetic, and provides good service. [Price] Ordering alcohol and a few dishes will cost you less than 3000 yen per person. [Recommended For] As the title suggests, if you are looking for a cheap and delicious (with no menu disappointments) restaurant, this is the best recommendation.

The coffee shochu is delicious. But it's so easy to drink that it's really scary. Before you know it, you're already drunk. When you order, a bottle appears. You pay based on how much you drink. It's an interesting rule. The skewers for snacks were also delicious. The pork skewers and tsukune were big and satisfying. It's a popular restaurant, so it's best to make a reservation.

Today's third stop for drinks is at the izakaya called Koteika-ya. I'm having coffee shochu on the rocks and enjoying some fried Zangi with pickled mackerel. I've been drinking a lot lately, so my memory is starting to get a bit fuzzy at this point...

A traditional house-style izakaya located near the Tozai Subway Line Toyohirakoen Susukino Station. I had seen it many times and was curious, so one evening I decided to go in. Despite the old-fashioned exterior, the atmosphere inside was surprisingly friendly. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, from traditional to creative. I was intrigued by the coffee shochu, so I ordered it along with some must-try dishes like zangi and my favorite, enkawa. - Coffee Shochu (120 yen per serving): When you order coffee shochu, it comes with a set for mixing with water. You can adjust the strength to your liking and the price is determined by the amount you consume. I had it on the rocks with no sugar, and it was smooth and easy to drink. You can also add syrup or milk to create a drink similar to Kahlua milk. - Fragrant Fried Zangi (420 yen for three pieces): The zangi had a crispy exterior and juicy thigh meat inside. Overall, it was good, but the excessive amount of grated daikon radish was a bit off-putting. The tangy sauce added a refreshing touch. - Enkawa with Wasabi Leaves (590 yen): This dish was delicious! The enkawa was thick and fatty, and the wasabi leaves had a mild flavor, similar to arugula. - Raw Guts (490 yen): This dish was slices of raw pork intestines. It didn't have a strong odor, but it's not something I would order alone as it can get a bit monotonous. It might be better for sharing among a group. Overall, the restaurant was busy even on a weekday, and I had to leave early as more customers arrived. The cover charge was around 400-500 yen. They had booth seating for groups, which would be great for a relaxed home-drinking atmosphere with some coffee shochu. While I haven't found a standout favorite dish yet, the menu seemed promising. I would definitely visit again when I'm back in Sapporo.

I visited the restaurant the other day after a long time. It was around 8 pm on Saturday, so the place was quite crowded with a lot of people. The food options were varied and you can eat a lot of different things, and the prices were reasonable. However, there were a lot of young people, so it's not a suitable place for a quiet drink.

I ordered Sapporo Classic beer, Ramen salad, Plain egg, Tsukune skewers, and Zangi for a total of ¥2,890. I had overindulged the night before and wasn't feeling well, so I couldn't make it to coffee shochu and curry as planned during my visit to Sapporo. Despite that, I was determined to revisit this restaurant because it never fails to satisfy me. This is my fifth time here already. It always delivers consistent satisfaction. I will definitely come back again.

I was curious about their famous coffee shochu. And it was really affordable! It came in a big bottle and the bill was based on how much you drank. It had a strong alcohol taste, which I wasn't a big fan of. It was quite long-lasting. I usually try to avoid caffeine, so it hit me pretty hard. Combined with the alcohol, it made it hard for me to sleep. The food was all consistently good, nothing particularly stood out as something I would definitely order again, but I would like to try other items on the menu. It was always busy with office workers and such. The gyoza was juicy and delicious. It might be a good spot for a second visit. Thank you for the meal!

Draft beer, complimentary umeshu, and tamagoyaki? Today's second bar is the Izakaya Koteika, where we toasted. It's a ramen shop turned izakaya. The order feels endless. I invited an acquaintance late. I'm full, so I'll just have some snacks and coffee shochu. It's a great place. The atmosphere is nice. Next time, I'll come earlier and take my time.

I went to drink famous coffee shochu after 6-7 years! The appetizers were edamame, pickled ginger with mackerel, and enoki mushrooms with wasabi. The coffee shochu is sold by weight, so you only pay for what you drink. It's easy to drink and since it's right in front of you, you end up drinking a lot. The pickled ginger and enoki mushrooms are refreshing, which also speeds up the pace of drinking. It's a place where you feel like coming here to drink when you're on a business trip to Sapporo, but if you lived here, it would be a place you'd want to come to quite often.

Welcome.---------- September 2022 ----------I'm hooked on the "Koshi Shochu" here (= ´∀´)ノ Let's start with two dishes: Nameko Oroshi and Shrimp & Chikuwa with Mayo. It's nice to have them with sake at the same time. The "Gindara Saikyo Yaki" has improved in quality. It may be half the portion for the price, but the marriage of Gindara and Saikyo miso is something I would want to eat anywhere. The "Salad" was simple with lettuce, sliced cucumber, and dried seaweed - probably arranged based on the whims of someone drinking together. However, observing the staff's service and the flow of customers coming in, it's clear that this place is thriving.

On the 11th night of my business trip in Sapporo, I visited this restaurant. It was always crowded and located right in front of my hotel, so I had been curious about it for a while. I finally decided to go as my business trip was coming to an end. The counter seats were full when I entered, but I was guided to a spacious area at the back with more counter seats available. I ordered a Sapporo Classic draft beer, which came with a complimentary appetizer. The appetizer consisted of a salad and simmered dish, both with a delicious flavor that indicated the quality of the restaurant. I then ordered grilled chicken and two skewers, all of which were delicious. The highlight was the tamagoyaki with mentaiko (spicy cod roe), which had a firm exterior and a creamy interior with raw mentaiko, making it the best tamagoyaki I've ever had. I finished with a highball. When I expressed my enjoyment to the staff, they were very happy and encouraged me to visit again if I stayed at the hotel across the street. Although I couldn't revisit during the rest of my stay, I definitely want to come back to this restaurant when I return to Sapporo. An izakaya where you can enjoy the best tamagoyaki.

I visited a restaurant I had wanted to go to for a while the other day. The interior of the restaurant allows you to choose between smoking and non-smoking areas. I was seated in the non-smoking section and ordered various dishes. Apparently, the curry roux here is recommended. The curry itself is not much different from regular curry, but for some reason, it is addictive. They are open late and I left satisfied.

-Separated smoking areas: The back is non-smoking and the front is smoking, I think. -They provide a small appetizer. -They have coffee shochu with a measuring scale, which is interesting because it's sold by weight. -Be careful not to drink too much and finish a bottle quickly. This place was recommended by some heavy drinkers! The atmosphere is cool, and the interior is quite spacious towards the back. Despite the cool vibe, there were a lot of young people! The place was lively and fun. The "homemade coffee shochu" was delicious! When mixed with milk, it tasted like a cafe latte! It's non-alcoholic, right? It's easy to drink, so the bottle empties quickly. The appetizers were also delicious. It was quite lively, so we enjoyed ourselves quickly and might visit again next time.

The other day, I went to a drinking party called "Sake Yakuza no Kai" at a place called "Izakaya Furusato." It had been so long since I last visited this place. It was the first day of the Susukino Festival, but we decided to skip it. The tatami rooms were fully booked with reservations from young customers. Thanks to those who made reservations! There was a limited-time offer where some drinks were half off until 9 pm, so I had to go for the classic coffee shochu. However, I couldn't resist the half-priced Marufu beer, including Marufu Black in small bottles. So, I started with two types of Marufu beer and then moved on to coffee shochu on the rocks. We had talked about drinking sake with milk before going, but the drinks were going down so smoothly that we just stuck to the rocks. By 9 pm, I think we had collectively consumed about 2.5 bottles of coffee shochu. I probably drank the most, and even had some sake (bakuren) afterwards. The food we had is shown in the photos. Some of my favorites were: - Mentaiko Tamago: A soft and sweet egg omelette filled with plenty of mentaiko. - Mizunasu Sashimi: Fresh and crisp seasonal water eggplant with no bitterness, served with wasabi soy sauce. - Chio Kara Potato: A must-try dish! Mashed potatoes topped with melted cheese and salted fish roe, a perfect match for drinking. - Curry Roux: A signature dish at Furusato, where you can enjoy just the curry roux with your drink. It's a great way to end the meal. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere and was very comfortable. I'd love to come back with everyone for another drinking session. Thank you for the meal!

The third stop of the day was at Furukata-ya. We chose this izakaya because it was the closest to the hotel. Since we were already quite full, we ordered some light food and drinks. The drinks we ordered were "Kayama" and "Hitotsume 2021". The food we ordered included an appetizer (pickled vegetables, grilled mackerel), squid tempura, octopus sashimi, and minced meat cutlet. - Kayama: A sake from Chiba Prefecture, with a brewery located in Mobara City. It's not a common sake to find in the area, so we decided to give it a try. It's a doburoku (unrefined sake) with a slight sweetness and a refreshing taste, making it easy to drink. The amount in the glass was just right. - Hitotsume 2021: This sake has a refreshing sweetness and is on the lighter side as a fresh sake. Hokkaido's sake is often known for being dry, but this one leans towards the medium-bodied side. Overall, the food was delicious and perfect for a casual izakaya experience. The minced meat cutlet was reminiscent of the specialty dish "spakatsu" from Kushiro. Thank you for the meal.

The first floor was full, so we were seated on the second floor. The place had a nice atmosphere, like a renovated old house. The menu was interesting, with a mix of different genres and dishes. We ordered the coffee shochu, which came in a bottle with a scale to measure how much we drank. It tasted like coffee. I also tried the curry roux and the minced meat cutlet. It was a bit challenging to pair drinks and food here, but the uniqueness of the place made it enjoyable. It's not halfway, it's completely out there, and that's what makes it interesting. Overall, it was a great experience.

However, with many customers and the staff being a bit rushed, I felt a bit uneasy, so I decided to have a quick drink and leave. I had beef intestines sashimi, salt-grilled chicken skewers, pork belly teriyaki skewers, and spicy minced chicken skewers. The beef intestines sashimi was delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the minced chicken skewers. They were said to be very spicy, but for someone who likes spicy food like me, it was just the right level of heat. The drinks came quickly, but the appetizer never arrived, so I had to wait a bit. The restaurant was busy, so I understand, but it was a bit disappointing. I slowly sipped on my beer while waiting. The food was tasty, so I would like to come back during a less busy time.

A few minutes' walk from Toyomizu Susukino Station, I visited this restaurant with an acquaintance this time. We had a course meal starting with a seafood platter - the prawns and tuna were fresh and delicious! Next, we had pizza and a creative course, which included tasty fried chicken and skewers. I wish they had more variety of sake, but the prices were reasonable and the curry at the end was also delicious and satisfying! Thank you for the meal!

My friend and I had the recommended daily lunch specials. My friend chose the chicken curry. The daily lunch specials include a good balance of meat, salad, and miso soup, all delicious. The chicken curry was also quite filling. I wish they gave a bit more coffee though. It's a good deal for 700 yen, but the parking fee is a drawback.

Visited a cozy izakaya known for their delicious homemade curry rice. Surprisingly, the interior was spacious. Started with a Red Star beer and ordered some appetizers like stuffed bell peppers, which were delicious. Then, ordered the curry rice, which was a Hokkaido-style curry. Only stayed for 30 minutes this time, but will definitely come back to try more tasty dishes next time.
