The shrimp and squid were prepared alive from the fish tank, so I would like to share the process in a video, but currently only images are available on Tabelog, so unfortunately, I cannot show the process. However, you can tell the freshness from the colors to some extent. I am thinking of uploading a video on Google. However, videos less than 3 seconds cannot be uploaded, so some videos were left unused. The exterior of Sushihomare's building is eye-catching and stands out subtly in a hidden alleyway. Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats, two table seats, and a TV monitor at the entrance. The second floor can accommodate around 20 people and is still under construction. There is a fish tank where you can enjoy fresh seafood. I had a great experience with the lunch at Susukino in 2017, so when I found out that Sushihomare had relocated to Minami Maruyama area and started serving dinner, I was excited to enjoy drinks and sushi. Reservations are probably required as it has become a popular and crowded place. I started with a cold draft beer and three appetizers. The white fish seemed like a flounder, but there are no specific explanations about the fish or origin. The head-on shrimp was still moving, giving a sense of being alive. The squid tentacles were also moving, creating a lively experience. The crab legs were freshly boiled and served with crab miso in a small dish, a perfect side for sake. The smoked salmon had a nice aroma and a crispy texture, perfect with sake. The grilled fish cake had a crispy exterior and a tender interior with delicious sauce. The sushi course started with medium fatty tuna, followed by fresh abalone and ikura and uni, all with excellent quality and taste. The hand-rolled sushi with plum paste and cucumber was light and refreshing. The clam soup was a clear and light broth. The meal ended with a yuzu sherbet for dessert. I switched to sake after the beer, enjoying Kubota Junmai Ginjo, Ruri Iro no Umi Junmai Daiginjo, and Tanaka Junmai Daiginjo, all of which paired well with the seafood. Can't wait for the next sushi adventure!

Sushi prepared by a friendly chef from a prestigious background! The restaurant is bright and very clean. The atmosphere is not formal, which is great! We were able to enjoy our meal leisurely! Both the side dishes and sushi were very delicious. The chef and the hostess were both very pleasant.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant that moved from Susukino to Maruyama. The sushi was amazing! Each piece was so fresh and sweet that I couldn't stop eating. The grilled fish, fresh oysters, grilled crab miso, and other dishes were all delicious. I will definitely be coming back again.
