On the second day for lunch, we went here. It is located near the Hill Observatory Park in the northwest and Farm La Terre. The mountain hut-style building has a nice atmosphere. The view from inside is also nice, with the typical Biei landscape spreading out. The menu consists of three types: Cheese Fondue Set, Croque Monsieur Set, and Toast Set, so we ordered a variety of items. The Cheese Fondue Set comes with bread as a bowl and long sausages catch the eye. The Toast Set allows you to choose two toppings, and I chose Gouda cheese and Biei red bean paste. The Croque Monsieur Set comes with buttered potatoes and a Canape of prosciutto. The building, the food, and the view all make it a space where you can fully enjoy Biei. They also sell bread.

A cute cafe in Biei serving light lunches in a natural setting. As you drive through the countryside, you'll come across a log house-style restaurant. They offer delicious cheese fondue and croque monsieur made with local cheese. The menu is limited to three items, but each dish perfectly captures the essence of Hokkaido. We enjoyed our meal in a separate cottage or on the terrace. The cheese was especially tasty! The restaurant plays music from "From the North Country," which adds to the tourist experience. Note that while infants are not allowed, children under school age are welcome with a one-drink minimum.

I went to the recommended restaurant "Aruuno Pain" in Biei Town! I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed! After waiting for 15 minutes, I was able to get a seat by the window. First, I placed my order! Here's what I ordered: - Cheese Fondue Set (+ drink) for 1600 yen - Biei Milk (Hot) for the drink - Coffee (Hot) - Cream Soda for an additional 300 yen Water, towels, milk, etc. are all self-service! About 10 minutes later, my order arrived. The bread was soft and sweet on its own! I enjoyed the cheese fondue with potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, broccoli, tomatoes, and other vegetables by dipping them in the cheese. The sausage had a crispy sound when I bit into it, and it was juicy and delicious! The sausage flavor spread throughout my mouth and it was tasty. The bread was made with Biei wheat, and it was amazing! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the cheese inside the bread didn't make it soggy! The location was great, and I was able to enjoy delicious bread in a calm atmosphere. They also sell bread inside the store, so you can buy some if you want! Thank you for the meal!

I thought about going to the Biei Senka fruit picking restaurant, but when I called, they said they were fully booked for today, so I went to a different place. After climbing a hill for 3 kilometers, I arrived at a bakery cafe called Aru Uno Pain. The cute house-style shop had a nice atmosphere. If the weather had been good, I would have liked to eat in the garden. I ordered the cheese fondue for 1600 yen with an additional 100 yen for berry juice. The juice was delicious with real berries in it. The cheese fondue had cheese inside the bread with sausages sticking out, giving it a unique and slightly suggestive appearance. The bread, of course, was delicious, and the sausages were juicy and incredibly tasty. The vegetables that came with it were also fresh and tasty. Although it was a bit pricey, the portion size was just right and I left feeling satisfied. Now, I have another 3 kilometers to walk back.

However, the signal was not good, so I couldn't use it, which was a shame.

Located about a 3-minute drive from Biei Station, we found this restaurant while looking for a lunch spot around Biei's Blue Pond during our trip to Hokkaido. We visited around 2:30 pm, after the peak time, and there was one group waiting ahead of us. We waited for about 15 minutes before entering. The restaurant is made of wood and looks like a cute little house. Inside, there are table seats and counter seats, with a capacity for about 5 groups. You can choose between the terrace seats and indoor seats. This time, we chose the counter seats. We ordered the Cheese Fondue Set. The hard bread was filled with plenty of cheese, and it was served with sausages and vegetables for dipping. The vegetables, such as potatoes, were fresh and delicious, and the cheese was rich and satisfying. A perfect location to enjoy a meal while taking in the natural scenery. An exquisite lunch where you can enjoy the delicious cheese and vegetables unique to Hokkaido. It was a place where you could truly feel the goodness of Hokkaido. Thank you for the meal.

This is a shop that specializes in handmade natural yeast bread. After visiting the Blue Pond in Biei, we had lunch while enjoying the view of the green fields. It's in Hokkaido. Cheese fondue set + Blue Pond (1600+200 yen): The bread with melted cheese in the center is served with boiled vegetables, hot sausages, etc. The sausages were juicy and delicious. I could eat these all day. The bread and boiled vegetables would probably taste even better if they were warm, but that might slow down the serving speed, so it's probably fine as it is.

I underestimated "Aru Uno Pain," a bakery with a cute name, thinking it was just a typical bakery you see in the city.
