I heard that a Chinese restaurant similar to a hidden gem had opened, so I stopped by while taking a walk. It was tucked away in a hard-to-find location, with no menu displayed outside, making it a bit intimidating to enter. Inside, the walls were adorned with neon lights, creating a trendy atmosphere. Even without ordering any drinks, a small appetizer was brought to the table, with a charge of 300 yen. That day's appetizer was Chinese-flavored simmered daikon radish, which seemed a bit small in portion. I ordered the mapo noodles and char siu fried rice. The mapo noodles arrived first, accompanied by a plate without needing to ask. We shared the dish, enjoying the balanced flavors of Sichuan peppercorns and mild spiciness, which paired well with the curly noodles. After a while, the char siu fried rice was served, also with a sharing plate. The dish featured tender chunks of pork char siu, which added a delicious touch. Since there was a menu for alcoholic drinks, it seemed like a place where you could enjoy Chinese food with drinks. While we found the appetizer charge a bit pricey for our main meal purpose, it might be a good spot for those looking to drink as well.

CHINESE DINING Yorushikanai opened around August 11, 2023. It is located a minute's walk from exit 3 of Kotoni Station, in the back of the Hamada Building. The restaurant is open only in the evening, starting at 5 pm. Upon entering, I was greeted with a "welcome" and seated at the counter. The restaurant has 6 counter seats, 3 counter seats in a separate semi-private room, and 5 tables for 4 people each. There are also 2 booth seats in the back. The restaurant offers free Wi-Fi, although there is no Docomo signal. I ordered the "Char Siu Fried Rice" for 750 yen and the "Shrimp and Cheese Bite-sized Gyoza (6 pieces)" for 480 yen. The complimentary item served was "Mozuku Stir-fry in Chinese Style" with a mild spicy flavor and a nice sesame oil aroma. The Char Siu Fried Rice arrived in 6 minutes. It had a slightly oily texture and was more like fried rice than traditional fried rice. The sweet Char Siu added a nice touch to the overall balance of flavors. The Shrimp and Cheese Bite-sized Gyoza arrived a bit later. The size was similar to "Miyoshi" gyoza, with a filling of shrimp paste mixed with cheese. The skin was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It paired well with a simple dipping sauce of soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil. The menu offers a variety of dishes like Sichuan-style Spicy Ramen, Sweet and Sour Pork, Spicy Mapo Tofu, and Large Shumai. I would definitely consider revisiting the restaurant if I have the chance.
