The master's personality and the brisk service by the female owner create a bright and lovely atmosphere at this robatayaki and kamameshi restaurant. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, it's no wonder this place has thrived in the competitive area of Suehiro. The reasons for its success are clear. Some recommended dishes include the marinated young chicken skewer, which is top-notch, the half portion of Matoudai fish that is both light and flavorful with a nice charcoal-grilled aroma, and Kamakichi-kun's juicy and savory dumplings. The drinks we enjoyed were two glasses of draft beer (Ichiban Shibori), two highballs, and one glass of Morio Iizuka on the rocks. It was a perfect solo dining experience. I look forward to trying the grilled fish roe and kamameshi on my next visit.

I often see the staff from this place on Twitter, so I went to try their kama-meshi. I stayed for about an hour from 6 pm, but there were no other customers before or after me. To cut to the chase, it's not for me as someone who doesn't drink alcohol. The portion is small, the taste is too salty... And on top of that, it's overpriced. Also, the female staff member from Twitter was completely different from the image on Twitter, which was also a shock. Well, for a first-timer at a drinking spot in Kushiro, I felt a cold atmosphere at this place. I won't be visiting again.

Visited Kamayoshi for the first time on October 27, 2018 to have a meal with a friend. Since they are known for their Kamameshi, I couldn't miss trying it. We ordered the Kamameshi first, which took some time to prepare, so we also ordered a variety of other dishes to pass the time: - Delicious hormone (600 yen) - Buta-kama (680 yen) - Small simmered beans (680 yen) - Mapo tofu (650 yen) - Hina skewer (370 yen) - Homemade shumai (550 yen) - Cucumber with soy sauce (380 yen) Every dish we ordered was delicious. The Kamameshi was tasty, but the standout dish for me was the delicious hormone grilled over charcoal. The seasoning was just right, and it went perfectly with beer. The master and the female staff were both friendly, and I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

On 6/11, I visited Kamaichi in Kusshiro after a two-year break. It was a cold day, so I wore a breaker. The cold wind unique to Kushiro greeted me as I arrived at Kamaichi. They welcomed me warmly, and the owner seemed to be in good spirits. I brought a gift from Kushiro Zanki and updated them on my recent life. I still think that port towns are wonderful. The atmosphere suits me well. I enjoyed the kama-meshi without any pretense, just digging in. I felt like I could stay there for a long time. Please visit this place and enjoy sake, fish, and a fun time!
