Yesterday's lunch on September 9th. When I came alone to this restaurant in August, my wife said, "I want to eat too! Take me with you!" So, we decided to have a birthday meal for my wife at Ofuna Sushi. When I made a reservation over the phone, I mentioned that my wife is allergic to salmon. The owner kindly changed the menu for us. It all made sense now. Even after we entered the restaurant, there were many walk-in customers and phone reservations, but they were already at full capacity, so they had to turn them away. I appreciated not being kept waiting unnecessarily. The taste was undeniably delicious. I thought the lunch prices were surprisingly reasonable. Especially, the crab sushi was tastier than any crab sushi I had ever eaten before.

After a long time, I felt like going, so I made a reservation in the morning! I arrived at 12:30 PM. The inside of the restaurant was full. Of course, I ordered the lunch sushi set B. When I sat at the counter, tea, a hand towel, chopsticks, and a soy sauce dish were placed on the sushi counter, and the sushi was immediately served. It looked delicious. While wiping my hands with the hand towel, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and shrimp head miso soup were served. I started with the seaweed rolls in front, savoring each piece. Mmm, delicious. Next was the crab! It was a solid piece of crab. It's different from conveyor belt sushi. Then came the sweet shrimp, which was sweet. Next was the salmon, with large slices that even I couldn't eat in one bite. I had the shrimp miso soup, followed by the thick scallop. Then came the tuna, the biggest piece with a nice layer of fat on top. I took a break with the egg, and the eel was fluffy and soft, with a wonderful taste. Next was the squid, which I couldn't finish in one bite. The fatty tuna had the most oil on it! The salmon roe was sweet at the final corner. I finished with the chawanmushi. It was really delicious.
